What is TestMu AI?
TestMu AI is a cloud platform for software quality engineering. It is the same product and the same company as LambdaTest, which changed its name on 12 January 2026; accounts, API keys, integrations and billing carried over without interruption. The platform now presents itself as a full-stack agentic testing cloud covering web, mobile and AI applications. The work is organised in four stages. Planning happens in Test Manager, an AI-native test management tool that links cases to Jira issues and offers one-click migration from other platforms. Authoring is handled by KaneAI, a multimodal agent that accepts plain English, code diffs, tickets, documents, images or media and returns structured test cases plus runnable automation; Kane CLI brings the same flows to a terminal, and an MCP server exposes test data to coding agents. Execution runs on the vendor's own infrastructure: more than 3,000 browser and operating system combinations, over 10,000 real iOS and Android devices, and HyperExecute, an orchestration layer the company says shortens suite duration by up to 70 percent. Analysis closes the loop through Test Insights, with AI error classification, flakiness detection and root cause analysis. A separate branch tests AI itself. Agent Testing deploys autonomous evaluators against chatbots, voice assistants, inbound and outbound phone agents and image analysers, checking for hallucination, bias, toxicity and compliance. The vendor claims 3 million users, 1.5 billion tests, 18,000 enterprises and 132 countries, and names Microsoft, OpenAI and Nvidia among its customers. It was named a Challenger in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for AI-Augmented Software Testing Tools and appears in The Forrester Wave: Autonomous Testing Platforms, Q4 2025. Two design choices are worth noting. Every plan the agent drafts is reviewed by a human before it runs, and a run can be paused and corrected mid-flight. And tests written by the agent export to Selenium, Playwright, Cypress and Appium, so a suite is not locked to the platform. Deployment is offered on shared cloud, private cloud or on-premise, with a target availability of 99.8 percent per calendar month.

GDPR overview
GDPR implementation is concrete and documented. The privacy policy (version 2.4, effective 12 January 2026) names a data protection officer reachable at privacy@testmu.ai, and a grievance officer for India. It sets out the legal bases used (contract, legitimate interest, consent, legal obligation) and the full set of data subject rights, exercised through support@testmuai.com or the privacy centre. Transfers out of the EEA and UK rely on the European Commission standard contractual clauses, and a data processing addendum and a public subprocessor list are both published. Certifications cited are SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27017:2015, ISO 27701:2019 and CSA STAR Level 1. No Article 27 EU representative is named anywhere on the site.
Who owns the data?
The customer keeps all rights and intellectual property in the customer content submitted to or generated through the service, and grants TestMu only a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it as far as needed to deliver the service. TestMu retains ownership of the platform, software, documentation, models and usage analytics, and treats any feedback sent to it as non-confidential and freely reusable. Under GDPR the roles are split: the customer is the controller of test execution data and TestMu the processor, while TestMu acts as controller for website visitor and account data.
Reuse rights
Customers can reuse their own test data and results freely: they own the customer content, and tests authored by KaneAI export to Selenium, Playwright, Cypress and Appium scripts, so a suite can leave the platform. TestMu uses the data only to run the service, support, billing and usage analytics, plus marketing that can be opted out of. The AI Terms commit the vendor not to use customer data, inputs, outputs or usage data to train, retrain or fine-tune any model made available to other customers; any model customisation stays exclusive to that customer. Anonymised, aggregated AI data may be used to improve platform performance, reliability and security. OpenAI and Microsoft Azure are the declared generative AI subprocessors.

Applications and customer data are hosted in Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure data centres. The published subprocessor table names the United States, Frankfurt, Ireland and India for AWS, and a customer-selected region for Azure among the United States, Frankfurt, Ireland, India and Australia. Device infrastructure adds MacStadium in the United States, Leaseweb in the United States, the United Kingdom and Singapore, CtrlS in India and Servecentric in Europe, while Cloudflare provides global CDN, security and DNS. An account is normally created in the region matching the user's location, but may be moved between locations for performance and availability. The architecture uses segmented security zones with replication across availability zones. Transfers out of the EEA and the United Kingdom rely on the European Commission and UK standard contractual clauses, referenced in the published data processing addendum.
