eesel AI
eesel AI lets teams hire autonomous AI agents that live inside Zendesk, Slack, Shopify and thirty other tools, handling support tickets, blog writing and store enquiries. Billing is usage-based: 0.40 USD per ticket, with no seat fees.
What is eesel AI?
eesel AI is a software-as-a-service platform that borrows the language of hiring rather than of configuration: you invite an agent into the tools your team already uses, brief it the way you would brief a new colleague, correct its work, and hand it more autonomy as it earns trust. The company behind it is eesel, Inc., a Delaware corporation running a remote-first team of roughly 25 people.
Five agent types are documented. A Helpdesk agent resolves tickets, drafts replies, tags, escalates and writes internal notes. A Blog Writer produces SEO-aware drafts in a brand voice. A Website Chat agent answers visitor questions and hands off to humans. An Internal Knowledge agent answers staff questions inside team chat. An E-commerce agent recommends products and handles order, refund and billing enquiries.
The agent learns from material the company already owns: help-centre articles, past tickets, Google Docs, Confluence, Notion, SharePoint, uploaded PDFs and crawled web pages. Once connected it appears as a real agent in Zendesk, a real person in Slack and a real sender in email, rather than as yet another dashboard. Thirty-four named integrations span helpdesks, communication tools, knowledge sources, project management, e-commerce platforms, messaging channels and SEO data.
Underneath, answers are generated by OpenAI, Anthropic and Google models, with retrieval over embeddings held in Pinecone and infrastructure on AWS. Enterprise customers may substitute their own fine-tuned model. Reusable Skills such as SEO audits, content briefs, backlink gap analysis and text humanising run on demand or on a schedule, and a Simulation skill replays historical conversations to score accuracy before anything goes live.
Commercially the platform is unusual in charging for work done rather than for seats: 0.40 USD per ticket or chat session, with no platform fee and no monthly minimum. eesel publicly claims more than 2,000 teams, over a million completed tasks and 500-plus enterprise teams, and names customers including Anytime Fitness, BitGo, CartonCloud, Ecosa, Smava and Yellowdig. A public Python command-line tool lets users talk to the same agent from a terminal.
What it does
- Resolve and draft customer support tickets inside the helpdesk already in use
- Triage, tag and escalate to a human whenever confidence falls below the set threshold
- Answer internal staff questions in Slack and Microsoft Teams
- Research, write and publish SEO-aware blog posts to WordPress
- Answer product questions and recommend items on an online store
- Reply automatically on WhatsApp, Instagram DM, Facebook Messenger and SMS
- Replay past conversations in simulation and score the gap against human replies
When to use eesel AI / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if eesel AI is the right fit.
When to use eesel AI
- Support teams that want to automate tier-1 tickets without leaving Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom or Gorgias
- High-volume multilingual helpdesks: one named customer runs more than 100,000 German-language tickets a month
- E-commerce brands on Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento or BigCommerce fielding product, order and returns questions
- Internal enablement and IT teams wanting a knowledge assistant that answers inside Slack or Microsoft Teams
- Content and SEO teams that draft, audit and publish straight back into WordPress
When not to use eesel AI
- Teams needing a permanently free tier: agents pause once the 50 USD of starting credit is spent
- Buyers who require a delivered SOC 2 Type II report, since certification is only described as underway
- Developers expecting a documented public REST API, as the help centre ships a command-line tool and nothing more
- Organisations that must process HIPAA health data, financial account numbers or government IDs, which the terms forbid
- Anyone under 18, and teams that want a native iOS or Android application
How to use eesel AI
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account on the eesel dashboard; no credit card is required to begin
- Connect your helpdesk, then authorise knowledge sources through OAuth
- Let the agent ingest existing help articles, past tickets and documents
- Brief the agent in plain text: tone, rules, process and escalation thresholds
- Run it in draft mode first and review the replies it proposes
- Use the Simulation skill to replay past conversations and read the accuracy gap report
- Switch to auto-respond once accuracy satisfies you
- Roll out gradually by routing only part of the ticket volume to the agent
- Set a monthly spending cap and watch the alerts at 50, 75 and 100 percent
- Manage billing and cancellation from Workspace Settings, handled through Stripe
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Usage-based pricing with no seats, no platform fee and no monthly minimum: a quiet month costs nothing
- A configurable spending cap that pauses agents automatically, with alerts along the way
- Broad, verifiable integration coverage across 34 named products
- A repeated, categorical commitment that customer data is never used to train models
- Sixteen sub-processors published by name, purpose and location, with a public trust centre
- A genuine trial: 50 USD of credit, every feature unlocked, no credit card required
- Draft mode and gradual routing let teams dose operational risk instead of switching everything at once
Cons
- SOC 2 Type II is described as underway on three separate pages, not delivered
- No permanently free plan: agents pause once the starting credit is exhausted
- The homepage claims the API is open, yet the help centre publishes no API reference at all
- No contact page or form; everything runs through email, in-app chat or a booking link
- The published address is a widely shared Delaware registered-agent address, not an operating office
- Contact addresses sit on a neighbouring domain rather than on the site's own domain
- Data is hosted in the United States by default, with EU residency available only on request
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanently free plan. New accounts receive 50 USD of usage credit plus two blog generations, with every feature unlocked and no credit card required; once that credit is spent, agents pause until a payment method is added. Paid usage then starts at 0.40 USD per support ticket or chat session. Heavier work, such as a blog post draft, is billed at 4.00 USD, while light dashboard queries remain free. An annual commitment paid upfront saves up to 25 percent, and the Enterprise tier adds a flat 1,000 USD monthly platform fee on top of usage.
- 0.40 USD per ticket or chat session
- 4.00 USD per blog post
- light dashboard queries free
- with no platform fee and no monthly minimum
- a year of usage paid upfront for up to 25 percent off
- with any overage billed at the standard rate
- a flat 1
- 000 USD per month on top of usage
- adding a dedicated solutions engineer and account manager

- HIPAA and BAA coverage and signed cloud service agreements
Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how eesel AI handles your data.
GDPR overview
eesel claims GDPR compliance in plain words: a "GDPR Compliant" block on the security page and a "GDPR-ready" statement in the homepage FAQ. The privacy policy, effective 27 March 2026, maps every purpose to an Article 6 legal basis and lists the full set of rights, from access and rectification to erasure, restriction, objection, portability and complaint to a supervisory authority, all exercised through a single contact address. Transfers out of the EEA rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, with the Netherlands named as governing member state and England and Wales for the United Kingdom. A data processing agreement built on the Common Paper standard is folded into the terms, breaches are notified within 72 hours, and sixteen sub-processors are published with purpose and location. Two gaps remain: no Article 27 representative is designated, and no data protection officer is named.
Who owns the data?
The terms cast eesel, Inc. as a processor, or sub-processor, of the customer's personal data rather than as its owner. Everything uploaded to train an agent is defined as Customer Content and stays the customer's property: knowledge-base articles, past tickets and internal documents. On request after termination, eesel deletes Customer Content within 60 days, and each party returns or destroys the other's confidential information. Workspaces are described as fully isolated, with unique identifiers separating tenants on shared infrastructure. eesel states that it does not sell personal information and acts as a service provider under the CCPA. Customer Content may reach OpenAI, Anthropic and Google purely to generate replies.
Reuse rights
Customers keep the right to reuse their own material freely, since it is ingested only to serve their own agents. eesel's permitted uses are enumerated rather than open-ended: running the service, taking payment, answering support, preventing fraud and meeting legal obligations, plus product improvement restricted to aggregated, de-identified usage data. Marketing messages rest on consent and can be refused at any time. Customer Content is passed to OpenAI, Anthropic and Google solely to produce answers, and those providers are contractually barred from training their general models on it. Optional PII redaction strips payment cards, emails, phone numbers, national identifiers and API keys at ingestion, before anything reaches the database or the search index. Embeddings live in Pinecone, which never holds the readable original.

Hosting summary
Customer data is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the US East region, North Virginia, by default. EU hosting is offered on request for both AWS and the Pinecone vector database, which is the mechanism eesel points to for customers with European data residency requirements. Sixteen sub-processors are published with purpose and location: AWS, Pinecone, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Stripe, Auth0, SendGrid, Amplitude, Segment, Firecrawl, Intercom, Vercel and Pipedream in the United States, with PostHog and Datadog in the European Union. Data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.2 or higher in transit, including backups. Production databases are not publicly reachable and require a VPN connection, deployment is multi-availability-zone, and encrypted backups run daily on AWS RDS. Transfers out of the EEA rely on Standard Contractual Clauses. One inconsistency is worth flagging: the enterprise page names US West as the default region in one panel while its own FAQ, the privacy policy and the security page all say North Virginia.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting eesel AI.
- SOC 2 Type II is advertised as underway on three separate pages; no certification has been delivered, so do not read the badge as proof of audit
- The homepage states that the API is open, yet the full help-centre index contains no API reference: an announcement that the documentation does not support
- The legal address is a Delaware registered-agent address shared by thousands of companies, not an operating headquarters
- Official contact addresses sit on a neighbouring domain rather than the site's own, and there is no contact page or form anywhere
- The terms forbid sending health, banking or identity data, which is a real constraint when an agent is wired into live support tickets
- Tasks are billed whether or not the result is correct, so a poorly briefed agent still costs money
- Audience figures such as 2,000 teams and a million tasks are vendor claims with no independent audit behind them
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low. No code is required and integrations are described as point-and-click, with knowledge sources connected through OAuth. The site says a first agent can be live within 30 minutes, the documentation claims five minutes or less, and the enterprise page says under an hour. Draft mode allows review before anything reaches a customer, and enterprise accounts get a dedicated account manager for onboarding. The optional command-line tool needs a terminal but, by its own documentation, no programming knowledge.

Should you pick eesel AI?
eesel AI is a substantial, well-documented product rather than a landing page with promises attached. The company is identifiable, both legal pages carry an effective date, pricing is public and quantified down to the cent, sixteen sub-processors are named with their locations, and the application itself responds. Eight customers are presented with case studies. On the evidence published, this is a real tool with a clear job: automating first-line support without forcing a team off the helpdesk it already runs.
The commercial model is its most distinctive feature. Charging for work completed rather than for seats means a quiet month costs nothing, and the configurable spending cap with automatic pause removes the usual fear of an open-ended usage bill. Draft mode, gradual routing and the simulation report let a cautious team measure accuracy before handing over live conversations.
Several reservations deserve weight before committing. SOC 2 Type II is underway, not delivered, and the distinction matters for any procurement process that treats it as a gate. The homepage advertises an open API that the documentation never describes, which is a gap between claim and evidence rather than a missing feature. There is no permanently free tier, no contact page, and no mobile application. EU data residency exists but only on request, the default being the United States.
One point of context is worth keeping in view: the published address is a shared Delaware registered-agent address that establishes jurisdiction rather than a place of work, while the footer, the trust centre and the founder's own profile all point to an Australian operating team. Prospective buyers with European data requirements should also note that no Article 27 representative is designated.
