Mixo
Mixo is an AI website builder: describe your business in a sentence or two and it generates a multi-page site with copy, contact forms, a blog and SEO. Built for small businesses with no coding skills.
What is Mixo?
Mixo is an AI website builder published by FuzzyLogic Labs Pty Ltd, an Australian company, and online since at least December 2021. Its premise is simple: describe what your business does in plain language and Mixo turns that description into a complete, mobile-first, multi-page website - pages, written copy, contact forms, a blog and built-in SEO. As the site puts it, "Describe what you do and Mixo creates a professional website in seconds - with pages, content and forms ready to go."
No account is required to start. You type your idea, pick a goal (selling products, promoting a service) and a generation language, and an AI-generated preview appears in roughly ten seconds. You then claim the site by creating an account, edit it, and publish. The editor is entirely code-free: swap text, images, logos, colours and layout, embed YouTube or Vimeo videos and pull photography from a built-in Unsplash library.
Lead capture is native rather than bolted on. Forms for enquiries and bookings, request tracking, contact export and a performance dashboard all sit inside the product. Hosting is managed on what Mixo calls a Global Content Network, with SSL certificates included and custom domains available on paid plans. Integrations are added by pasting an identifier rather than editing code - Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google AdSense, Facebook Pixel and Calendly, alongside Stripe, Mailchimp and Zapier - while custom scripts and custom CSS are reserved for paying customers.
Generation is offered in more than 40 languages, and Mixo claims coverage of over 300 industries, more than 3 million sites created, over 750,000 businesses served and a 4.8/5 Trustpilot rating. The positioning against classic builders is explicit: time to publish and lead capture rather than design finesse.
Mixo also draws its own boundaries. There is no public API and no mobile application - the product is web-only - and the company states it is not recommended for complex e-commerce stores, enterprise applications or sites requiring extensive custom code. Sites published on the free plan carry Mixo branding, including a badge and a mention in the generated llms.txt file.

When not to use Mixo
- Complex e-commerce stores, which Mixo rules out itself
- Enterprise applications and internal business systems
- Projects that require extensive custom code or pixel-level design control
- Teams that need programmatic integration: there is no public API
- Anyone expecting a mobile app - Mixo is a web-only product
How to use Mixo
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Open the free builder at app.mixo.io/ai-website-builder - no account and no card are needed to start
- Describe your business in one or two sentences, naming your target audience and your value proposition
- Keep the description concrete: avoid vague phrasing such as 'startup idea' or 'my business', and leave out emojis, HTML tags, URLs and heavy jargon
- Choose a goal (sell products, promote a service) and a generation language - your browser language is used by default
- Wait around ten seconds for the AI-generated preview to appear
- Claim the generated site by creating an account with an email address or with Google
- Edit copy, images, logos, colours and layout in the no-code editor, adding videos or Unsplash photography as needed
- Add forms, blog articles and integrations by pasting the relevant tracking or account identifiers
- Click Publish - edits stay invisible to visitors until you do, which is the most common source of confusion
- Connect a custom domain following the help centre guides, and use the documented fixes if generation fails ('We could not understand the description' means you need more detail)
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Exceptionally fast time to publish: a preview in about ten seconds and a full site announced in 60 seconds
- No technical or design skill required at any stage
- A permanent free plan with no credit card requested
- Lead capture built into the product, where several competitors send you to third-party applications
- Hosting, SSL and a custom domain included in the paid plans
- Generation in more than 40 languages, genuinely useful outside English-speaking markets
- 30-day refund on a first plan purchase, and plan changes possible at any time on a pro-rata basis
Cons
- The pricing page renders in JavaScript and redirects to the application: no amount is readable in static HTML
- No contact email is published anywhere - support, legal and privacy requests all pass through a portal
- No postal address is published; the only geographic mention is a governing-law clause naming Sydney, NSW, Australia
- A dated, generic privacy policy: no mention of the GDPR, no stated data subject rights, no retention period, no DPA and no Article 27 EU representative
- All processing and storage takes place in Australia, whatever the user's country
- No public API and no mobile application
- Free-plan sites carry a compulsory Mixo badge, custom CSS and script injection are paid-only, and complex e-commerce or custom-code projects are excluded by Mixo itself
Pricing & Plans
Mixo offers a permanent free plan that requires no credit card and allows one publishable page. The lowest paid entry point documented on the site is USD 7 per month, billed annually - a figure taken from Mixo's own llms.txt file ("Paid plans start from $7/month (billed annually)") rather than from the pricing page, which redirects to the application and renders no readable amount outside JavaScript. Separately, the partner earnings calculator on the affiliates page quotes Personal Site at USD 10 per month, Business Site at USD 20 and Premium Site at USD 40. All paid plans include a custom domain, SSL and removal of the Mixo badge, with higher tiers adding multiple pages and priority support. A 30-day refund applies to a first plan purchase, processed within 14 working days, and plans may be changed at any time with pro-rata adjustment. Agency plans and volume discounts are quoted on request through support.
- one publishable page
- no credit card required
- compulsory Mixo branding on the published site
- USD 10 per month (figure quoted by the affiliate earnings calculator
- not by the pricing page)
- USD 20 per month (same source)
- USD 40 per month (same source)
- the site's llms.txt file)
- quoted on request through the support portal
- Detailed pricing is published only inside the application at app.mixo.io/pricing and is not readable without JavaScript
Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Mixo handles your data.
GDPR overview
Mixo sells GDPR compliance as a feature of the websites it generates, not as a commitment about its own platform. Its GDPR feature page states that "All Mixo sites include features to cover GDPR requirements and allow you to add cookie consent models, generate privacy policies and opt-in checkboxes", with consent revocable from the site footer. The platform's own privacy policy reads very differently: it never uses the word GDPR, names no legal basis, sets no retention period and lists none of the access, rectification, erasure or portability rights. It states that processing and storage "will take place in Australia" and that information belonging to residents outside Australia is transferred there and handled under Australian privacy standards. No EU representative under Article 27 is designated, no DPA is published and no sub-processor list exists.
Who owns the data?
Mixo's privacy policy contains no explicit clause on who owns user content, and the terms make no claim of ownership over the sites you create. They do reserve marketing rights: section 4D grants Mixo the right to display your domain name, site name and business name in its marketing materials, with an opt-out available through the support portal and removal typically within about 30 working days. Section 4E makes Mixo branding a condition of the free plan - free sites carry a 'Made with Mixo' badge and mentions in the generated llms.txt file. The privacy policy also allows personal data to be transferred in a merger, acquisition, asset sale or bankruptcy, with a right to object.
Reuse rights
Mixo states that it collects data to deliver the service, to communicate with users and to manage accounts. Sign-up gathers IP address, full name, password, email, city, time zone and phone number; log data adds browser type, referring domain, pages visited, search terms and advertisements clicked. Contact details may be used for marketing, with an unsubscribe route. Session and persistent cookies are used, and the policy states that no personal data is collected through cookies. Data is shared with service providers - hosting, billing, CRM, storage and marketing campaigns - under contractual obligation. Nothing in the privacy policy addresses training AI models on customer data, in either direction. On your own side, you edit, publish and export your site content and captured contacts freely from within the product; the site sets out no separate permission process for reusing that material.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Mixo's privacy policy is unambiguous about jurisdiction: collection, processing and storage all take place in Australia. Users living elsewhere are told their personally identifiable information will be transferred to Australia and processed and stored there under Australian privacy standards. Australia is the only hosting country the site declares; no other country and no region is named. Published sites are served from what Mixo calls a Global Content Network - a delivery CDN rather than a stated hosting region - with SSL certificates included. The GDPR feature page adds only that all collected data is stored securely on Mixo's servers. Mixo's own marketing site resolves behind Cloudflare on an anycast address (104.26.7.3), which says nothing about where customer data actually resides. What the site does not say matters just as much: no hosting provider is named, no data centre location is given beyond the country, no sub-processor list is published, no data processing agreement is offered and no EU representative is designated for European users whose data ends up in Australia.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Mixo.
- No contact email exists anywhere on the site: support, legal and privacy requests go exclusively through the app.mixo.io/support portal, leaving you no direct written channel of your own
- No postal address is published; the only geographic anchor is a governing-law clause naming Sydney, NSW 2000, Australia, which is a jurisdiction rather than a registered office
- The privacy policy has no GDPR chapter at all: no legal basis, no data subject rights, no retention period and no data processing agreement
- Data belonging to European visitors is transferred to and stored in Australia, with no EU representative designated under Article 27
- The GDPR promise covers the generated site, not the platform: a cookie banner and a policy generator help your own visitors, they do not make Mixo itself compliant on your behalf
- No price is readable on the pricing page: the entry figure comes from the site's llms.txt file rather than a published table, so budget only on amounts you have confirmed inside the application
- Terms section 4D grants Mixo marketing use of your domain, site and business name by default, with opt-out only on request, and free-plan sites carry Mixo branding plus a mention in llms.txt
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. No account is needed to generate a first preview and no coding or design skill is required at any stage: generation takes around ten seconds and Mixo announces a site live in under three minutes. Integrations are set up by pasting an identifier, without touching code. The only genuinely technical steps are connecting a custom domain, documented step by step in the help centre, and using custom CSS or script injection - both reserved for paid plans.

Should you pick Mixo?
Mixo makes a clear trade: speed to publish and lead capture rather than design finesse. Type one or two sentences about what you do and, a few minutes later, you have a live multi-page site with copy, contact forms, a blog and SEO - no code, no designer, no agency. For local trades, service providers and solo operators who have been putting off getting online, that is a genuinely useful proposition, and the permanent free plan lets you judge the result before paying anything or entering a card.
The reservations concern transparency more than the product. Mixo publishes no contact email and no postal address; support, legal and privacy requests all funnel through a portal. Its privacy policy is generic and dated: it never mentions the GDPR, sets out no data subject rights and fixes no retention period, while stating that everything is processed and stored in Australia. The GDPR page sells cookie banners and a policy generator - features of the site you build, not commitments about the platform that hosts it. European buyers should weigh that carefully, since no Article 27 representative is designated and no data processing agreement is offered.
There is a practical annoyance too. The pricing page renders only inside the application, so the cheapest documented figure - USD 7 per month billed annually - comes from Mixo's own llms.txt file rather than from a published table. Confirm what you will actually pay before subscribing.
Mixo is also candid about where it stops: complex e-commerce, enterprise applications and sites needing extensive custom code are explicitly out of scope, and there is neither a public API nor a mobile app. Within those limits it does what it promises - it gets a small business online quickly, cheaply and without technical help.
