AgXeed builds autonomous diesel-electric field robots, its AgBots, alongside TraXwise, a platform that pre-plans, monitors and documents every field task. Control units also bring existing tractors and implements into the same connected system.
What is AgXeed?
AgXeed is a Dutch company that builds autonomous agricultural machines and the software that runs them. Four founders started it in the summer of 2018 in Venray; production now sits in Grubbenvorst, the first AgBot was sold commercially in 2022, and the range has since grown to four series, all diesel-electric: the T2 7 SERIES at 170 kW (230 hp), the T2 5 SERIES at 115 kW (156 hp), and the W3 2 and W4 2 SERIES at 55 kW (75 hp). The tracked T2 machines handle broad arable work, the W3 is built for orchards and tree nurseries, the W4 for lighter tillage and specialty crops.
The machine is only half of it. TraXwise is where the work is defined before anyone reaches the field: driving lines, headland sequences, speeds, working depths and hydraulic flow rates are set once, the platform generates the optimised routing and the task file, and the task is transmitted to an AgBot or to a third-party tractor carrying AgXeed's Vehicle Control Unit over ISOBUS TIM. A Tool Control Unit does the same for implements, spotting blocked rows, empty hoppers or sheared bolts and pushing alerts back into the platform.
Autonomy here means unsupervised work inside a surveyed, geofenced field. Each machine ships with a CE declaration of conformity, obstacle detection and emergency protocols; the approved autonomous speed tops out at 13.5 km/h; and a task halts by itself if the mobile signal has not come back within twenty minutes. AgXeed claims up to twenty running hours per tank at 75% engine load, up to 2,000 operating hours a year, labour savings of up to 90% and total cost reductions of 25 to 35% against conventional tractors. Two published customer accounts report 600 hours in three and a half months, and 1,200 hours in a first season without a single road journey.
Twenty-four use cases are documented with implement, speed, fuel use and soil type, from stubble tillage and subsoiling to seeding, ridge forming, intra-row weeding, orchard spraying and spot spraying. Everything is sold through a dealer network, and no price is published.

Pricing & Plans
There is no free plan and no published price. AgXeed operates no pricing page: its FAQ states that questions about the price of the different AgBots should be sent to customer@agxeed.com, and machines are sold through the dealer network on quotation. The only cost figures released are comparative claims, namely labour savings of up to 90% and a 25 to 35% reduction in total cost against conventional tractors, together with per-operation fuel consumption ranging from 5 l/h for nursery weeding to 29.4 l/ha for disc harrowing. No currency, no entry price point and no subscription tier are disclosed.

GDPR overview
GDPR implementation is explicit but limited to the website and commercial contacts. The privacy notice carries a dedicated section for the EU and the UK, listing the legal bases relied on: consent, legitimate interests, legal obligations and vital interests. It sets out rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to complain to a national supervisory authority, with a pointer to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner. Requests go to info@agxeed.com or by post to Grubbenvorst. As the company is established in the Netherlands, no Article 27 representative is required or named. There is no data processing agreement, no subprocessor list and no security certification published anywhere on the site.
Who owns the data?
The published privacy notice, dated 14 May 2024, names AgXeed B.V. as the party that collects and processes personal information, and gives visitors the right to request access, correction or deletion through a data subject access request or by writing to info@agxeed.com. It covers names, contact details, job titles, device data and location, and allows sharing during a merger, sale or financing, plus with Google Maps Platform APIs. It says nothing about ownership of the agronomic data a farm generates in TraXwise, so field boundaries, task files and machine records are governed by no published clause.
Reuse rights
The terms grant no reuse rights to the reader: AgXeed states it owns or licenses all site content, code, databases, designs, text, images and trademarks, and nothing in the documents permits copying or redistributing them without permission. On the customer's own side, the platform is described as a place to store, share and analyse the farm's own operational data, and the privacy notice lets an individual obtain a copy of their personal information. No clause defines whether task files, field maps or machine telemetry may be exported or reused outside the platform, nor whether AgXeed may exploit them commercially.

Hosting summary
Hosting is documented for the website and only briefly. The terms state that the site is hosted in the Netherlands and that using it means transferring personal data to the Netherlands, where it is processed, with Dutch law governing the agreement and the Dutch courts holding non-exclusive jurisdiction. DNS resolution is consistent with that: the domain answers on an address geolocated in Venlo, Netherlands, on a Dutch autonomous system. For the product itself, the FAQ says only that pre-planned tasks are saved securely in the cloud and transmitted to the machine over an active internet connection, without naming a country, a region or a hosting provider. No trust or security page, no list of data centres and no subprocessor disclosure exists, so the location of field maps, task files and machine telemetry is not publicly established.
Things to keep in mind

- Savings of up to 90% on labour and 25-35% on total cost are the manufacturer's own claims, not independently audited figures

Technical difficulty
Low for the farmer, but not self-service. The dealer does the demanding part: a one-time GNSS survey of each field, safety buffers away from roads and ditches, and the geofences uploaded to the customer's TraXwise portal, where the AgBots already appear at first login. The customer then digitises implements and pairs them virtually with the machines. After that, building a mission takes four steps in the interface. Certification is required to upload boundaries and transmit missions, so competence is assumed, not installation skill.

AgXeed is one of the few autonomous farming propositions that has left the demonstration stage. Machines have been sold and delivered since 2022, four series now cover arable land, vegetables, orchards and tree nurseries, customers publish operating hours rather than intentions, and the 2025 launch of the T2 7 SERIES added 230 hp to a range whose defining argument is ground pressure below 30 kPa. TraXwise is the part that makes the rest usable: plan the work once, send it to a machine, watch it happen, and keep the record automatically. The Vehicle and Tool Control Units matter just as much, because they let a farm reach the same system without replacing equipment it already owns.
The reservations are commercial and documentary rather than technical. Nothing can be evaluated on price, since none is published and every figure arrives through a dealer quotation. Commissioning is not self-service: each field needs a professional GNSS survey before a machine will work it, and the whole purchase runs through a distributor. Operation leans on satellite coverage and mobile data, with an automatic halt after twenty minutes offline. The legal paperwork is thinner than the engineering: a generic privacy notice dated May 2024 that still mentions HIPAA and Canadian law, no data processing agreement, no subprocessor list, no security certification, and no clause anywhere describing who owns the agronomic data a farm accumulates in TraXwise.
For a working farm or a contractor with the capital and a dealer nearby, this is a credible answer to labour shortage and soil compaction at the same time. Ask for the operator manual, the data terms and a reference customer before signing, since the vendor's savings figures remain the vendor's own.
