Distribution.ai
Canadian SaaS platform that turns a single blog post, podcast episode or YouTube video into dozens of ready-to-publish social posts across seven channels, adding scheduling, approval workflows and analytics for marketing teams and agencies.
What is Distribution.ai?
Distribution.ai is an AI-assisted content repurposing and distribution platform. Its home page states the promise bluntly: “Turn One Piece of Content Into Dozens of Marketing Assets”. You hand it an asset you have already produced — a blog post, a podcast episode, a YouTube video, a webinar — and it writes the derivative posts that most teams never find the time to write, formatted natively for each destination.
Commercially, the product is split into four distribution agents rather than one flat subscription: a YouTube agent, a Podcast agent, a Blog agent, and a Bundle that combines two or three of them. That structure is not cosmetic, because it is what you actually buy: video and podcast quotas are counted in minutes of source material, blog quotas in posts per month. A separate Organization tab adds seats, per-member quotas and multi-client management for larger teams.
Functionally, the home page organizes the product around four pillars. Autopilot connects a blog, a YouTube channel or a podcast feed once, then generates content every time you publish. Social content generation produces native posts for LinkedIn, X, Threads, Mastodon, Bluesky, Instagram and YouTube Shorts, and extends to email campaigns, newsletters, GEO/AEO-optimized blog articles and AI-generated social images, all steered by a configurable brand voice and writing style. Scheduling and approval covers a recurring, time-zone-aware content calendar, a multi-platform publishing queue, and organizations with invited members, roles and a sign-off step before anything is published. Analytics consolidates engagement by platform and by period in one dashboard, with basic, advanced or premium reporting depending on the tier.
Six named feature pages — content repurposing, social content generator, podcast repurposing, video repurposing, content distribution and blog repurposing — and nine solution pages, four by agent type and five by industry (creators, restaurants, real estate, media and publishing, agencies), fill out the catalog. A Chrome extension captures an article straight from the browser and can create or remix directly from X and LinkedIn.
The home page claims 2,000+ active users, 500+ assets generated per month and seven supported social channels, and the newsletter claims 5,000+ subscribers. The publisher is Foundation Marketing Services Inc., based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada; the marketing site runs on WordPress, while the application itself lives on a separate app subdomain.
What it does
- Turn one blog post, podcast episode or video into dozens of native posts for seven social networks
- Connect a blog, a YouTube channel or a podcast feed and let Autopilot generate content at every new publication
- Generate social content from a prompt or from existing material, aligned with a defined brand voice and writing style
- Produce email campaigns, newsletters, GEO/AEO-optimized blog articles and AI-generated social images from the same source
- Schedule, queue and publish on a recurring content calendar with time-zone support
- Route posts through an organization's roles and approval workflow before anything goes live
- Measure engagement by platform and by period in a single analytics dashboard
When to use Distribution.ai / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Distribution.ai is the right fit.
When to use Distribution.ai
- Content leads and social media managers who have to keep seven channels active without hiring more marketers
- Marketing agencies running several client accounts, addressed by a dedicated Enterprise page with 20+ customizable templates
- Podcasters and video publishers: the Podcast and YouTube plans are sold in minutes of source material, from 250 to 2,000 minutes a month
- Solo bloggers, named explicitly as the target of the entry-level Blog plan and its 10 posts per month
- Vertical teams covered by their own solution page: media and publishing, real estate agents, restaurant owners and creators looking to monetize
When not to use Distribution.ai
- Teams that need an API: no documentation exists, /api and /docs return 404, and no sitemap exposes one
- Mobile-first users: there is no iOS or Android application, only a web app and a Chrome extension
- Buyers looking for a permanent free tier: every plan in the matrix is paid, and the only free access is a 15-day trial
- Organizations running a formal GDPR review: the site never mentions the GDPR, a DPA, named subprocessors or any certification
- Teams whose audience sits on Facebook, TikTok or Pinterest: the official Supported platforms row lists none of them
How to use Distribution.ai
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Start the 15-day free trial and register on the application subdomain: no credit card is requested
- Choose the type of content you want to repurpose — YouTube, podcast, blog, or a Bundle of two or three: this choice is what determines the plan you buy
- Upload a file or paste a link; the quota is counted in minutes for video and podcast, in posts for blog content
- Set your brand voice, writing style, distribution channels and objectives
- Generate, then review the output: Creator tiers allow two rewrites per post, higher tiers are unlimited
- Send the posts through the approval workflow if your organization has defined one
- Schedule the approved posts on the recurring, time-zone-aware calendar and let the publishing queue push them out
- Switch on Autopilot to connect the source once and trigger production automatically at every new publication
- Install the Chrome extension to spot a piece of content, send it to Distribution.ai in one click, then generate and distribute it, or to create and remix directly from X and LinkedIn
- For teams, create an organization, invite members and assign roles: 5 seats are included on Organization Pro and 15 on Organization Business
Pros & Cons
Pros
- A single source asset feeds seven networks, which removes the manual reformatting platform by platform
- Autopilot removes the manual trigger altogether: content goes out as soon as the source is published
- The whole chain sits in one tool — generation, approval, scheduling, publishing and measurement
- Pricing is entirely public and unusually legible, down to the per-unit cost of exceeding a quota
- 15-day trial without a credit card, cancellation from the dashboard, no long-term contract, and annual billing that adds two months free (up to 30% on the Bundle)
- Genuine team governance: organizations, invited members, roles and sign-off before publication
- Publishes to open networks that rivals often skip — Threads, Mastodon and Bluesky — and a Chrome extension captures content without leaving the page
Cons
- No API and no technical documentation: /api and /docs both return 404, and no sitemap exposes one
- No mobile application, on either iOS or Android
- The legal paperwork is thin and lags the product: the privacy policy dates from 5 April 2024 and the terms from 15 August 2024, and the terms are visibly built on a goods-selling template that talks about orders, shipping, returns, product images and customs duties
- Complete silence on the GDPR, on the existence of a DPA and on subprocessors, with no security page, no certification and no trust center: nothing to hand a European procurement team
- No about page and no contact page: the footer announces them, but the links are commented out in the HTML and the URLs return 404; the only published contact is a support email address
- Content retention of one week only on Creator tiers, and quota overages billed per unit (USD 0.05 to 0.10 per minute, USD 1 to 2 per post)
- Neither Facebook, TikTok nor Pinterest appear in the official list of supported platforms, and there is no permanent free plan
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanent free plan: the only free access is a 15-day trial, available on any plan and without a credit card. All prices are quoted in US dollars and the full matrix is public on the pricing page. The distinctive point is that you buy a type of source rather than one all-in subscription: separate Blog, YouTube, Podcast and Bundle plans, each in three tiers (Creator, Pro, Business) and each billed monthly or annually. The lowest entry point is the Creator tier of the Blog plan at USD 15.83 per month, but that figure assumes an annual commitment charged as USD 190 in one payment; month to month, the same plan costs USD 19. Above it, Blog runs to USD 39 and USD 129 per month, YouTube and Podcast to USD 29, 59 and 199 per month, and the Bundle from USD 59.90 to USD 399.90 per month, annual billing giving two months free (up to 30% on the Bundle). Organization plans are charged USD 109.90 and USD 368.90 per month for 5 and 15 members, with additional members at USD 55 and USD 49 per month and an additional organization at USD 150 per month. Exceeding a quota is billed per unit — USD 0.05 to 0.10 per minute and USD 1 to 2 per post — or the plan can be upgraded at any time. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancellation and downgrade are handled from the dashboard, and the terms provide no refund for the period in progress, requests being considered case by case at the publisher's sole discretion.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Distribution.ai handles your data.
GDPR overview
The site never mentions the GDPR. Across the sixteen pages archived for this review, the body text carries no occurrence of “GDPR”, “General Data Protection Regulation”, “CCPA”, “Article 27”, “DPA”, “data processing agreement” or “sub-processor”. The privacy policy, last updated on 5 April 2024, states no legal basis, no retention period, no data protection officer and no EU representative. The rights it grants — access, correction, deletion and marketing opt-out — are worded generally rather than by reference to the Regulation. International transfers rest on a consent clause: “you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States and other countries”. The publisher is Canadian and declares Canadian law applicable. Distribution.ai therefore neither claims GDPR compliance nor states that it is not compliant: this is a gap in published information, not evidence either way.
Who owns the data?
The terms, dated 15 August 2024 and governed by the laws of Canada, come from Foundation Marketing Services Inc. of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, of which Distribution.ai is a division. You keep ownership of what you produce: “You retain all rights to any Content you create, post, or display on or through the Service, and you are responsible for protecting those rights.” In exchange you grant the publisher a broad license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce and distribute that content through the Service, and you stay responsible for its legality. Nothing is said about the source posts, podcasts and videos you upload, and the publisher may delete data and restrict access if you hold several accounts or breach the fair-use policy.
Reuse rights
Because you retain the rights to the content you create through the Service, you can publish, adapt and reuse the posts, newsletters and articles it generates without asking permission, and you carry the responsibility for their legality. On personal data, the privacy policy dated 5 April 2024 covers name, email, phone number and payment details, plus usage data (IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, time spent) and cookies, used to run and improve the service, process transactions, communicate, personalize, analyze trends and comply with the law. It states plainly: “We do not sell your personal information to third parties.” Sharing is described by category of provider only — payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting, customer support — and no supplier is ever named. Whether customer content is used to train models is never addressed, in either direction; the only opt-out offered concerns promotional email.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
No security page, no trust center and no hosting region is published. The only relevant statement in the privacy policy is a consent clause: “you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States and other countries”. That is consent to a transfer, not a hosting commitment, and the other countries are never specified. The public infrastructure is indeed American: both the site and the application subdomain resolve to the same address, 137.184.114.216, a DigitalOcean address in Santa Clara, California. That corroborates the United States without proving where customer data sits. No encryption measure, no certification and no named subprocessor appears anywhere in the document.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Distribution.ai.
- The terms are built on a template written for selling physical goods: they discuss orders, shipping, returns, product images, customs duties and delivery charges. The brand and the Canadian postal address in them are genuinely the publisher's, but those delivery clauses have no object for a SaaS and must not be read as commitments
- The legal documents predate the product you see: the privacy policy is dated 5 April 2024 and the terms 15 August 2024, while the site's own material is from 2026. Nowhere do they mention the GDPR, a DPA, a data protection officer, an Article 27 representative or a single named subprocessor
- Several pages announced in the footer do not exist: About Us, Contact Us, FAQs, Help Center, Case Study and the comparison pages against Jasper and Copy.ai. Those links are commented out in the HTML and every corresponding URL returns 404. There is no commercial or legal email address either, only a support address and an onboarding address
- The logo strip headed “Built by the team trusted by industry-leading companies” credits the founding team's past experience, not the tool's customer base. The wording is ambiguous and easy to misread as a list of client references
- Content retention is one week on Creator tiers: anything generated and not published or exported then disappears. The advertised entry price of USD 15.83 per month likewise assumes USD 190 charged in a single payment for the year
- The claimed figures are thin and sit awkwardly together — 2,000+ active users for 500+ assets generated per month — and the testimonials are signed with an initial and a surname, the same text appearing under different names from one page to another
- The human risk of automation: publishing to seven networks from one source makes it easy to flood your channels with derivative, machine-written posts and to stop reading your own output. Autopilot fires at every publication, Creator tiers allow only two rewrites per post, and the terms leave you responsible for the legality and accuracy of everything the tool writes in your name
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. Nothing to install: you register online for the web application and can start immediately, without a credit card. No API, webhook or code is involved. The real effort goes into connecting your sources — blog, YouTube channel, podcast feed — authorizing your social accounts, and configuring the editorial settings: brand voice, writing style, channels, objectives, time zone and recurring calendar. Teams add one step: create the organization, invite members, assign roles and define the approval workflow. The Chrome extension is optional and installs in one click from the Chrome Web Store.

Should you pick Distribution.ai?
Within its own scope, Distribution.ai is a coherent and finished product: the chain from repurposing to approval, scheduling and measurement is complete, and the pricing is public down to the per-unit cost of exceeding a quota, which is rarer than it should be. The buying model deserves attention before you sign, because it is unusual: you buy a type of source — YouTube, podcast or blog — rather than one subscription, which pushes anyone working in several formats towards the Bundle, and the headline price of USD 15.83 per month assumes a year paid up front. The clear weakness lies elsewhere: the legal and compliance apparatus lags well behind the product. The terms are built on a goods-selling template whose clauses on shipping and returns have no object here, the GDPR is never mentioned, and neither an about page nor a contact page exists, the footer links to them being commented out in the HTML. Distribution.ai suits marketing teams and agencies that want to keep several channels alive without hiring, and creators sitting on a back catalog of long-form content. Any organization with formal compliance requirements should look more closely first, and put to the publisher the questions the site leaves unanswered.
