Dottypost
Dottypost is an AI content tool built for LinkedIn only. It turns a topic, an existing blog article or a YouTube video into ready-to-publish posts and carousels, then schedules them in one click for founders, creators and social media managers.
What is Dottypost?
Dottypost is a web-based AI writing and publishing tool built for one network only: LinkedIn. It runs entirely in the browser at app.dottypost.com, with no mobile app, no browser extension and no published API, and it covers the chain from idea to scheduled post: text posts, carousels, scheduling, personal profiles and company pages. Content can be generated from four declared input sources: a free-form topic, an existing blog article, a YouTube video or a YouTube Short. Topic-based generation sits in the entry plan, while the blog, YouTube and Shorts sources belong to the Growth plan. Alongside generation, the tool offers an inspiration library advertised as 10,000+ posts for inspiration, including viral posts that can be reused and browsed by industry, plus more than 100 post templates the site describes as content that resemble human writing. An option to Use AI on existing LinkedIn posts rewrites material you already have. Carousels are a first-class output rather than an afterthought: the AI generates them, ready-made templates and customisation let you adjust colours and drop your own image on the call-to-action slide, and the result can be downloaded, shared or scheduled. Scheduling itself covers text posts, images and carousels, with what the site calls Advanced scheduling options, plus two automation features on the Growth plan, Auto plug comment and Auto-pilot. Several LinkedIn accounts and company pages can be handled from one place, and teammates or clients can be invited to work in real-time. Content is announced in 100+ languages from the Lite plan, though the site never lists which ones. The publisher is Linckup Innovations Pvt Ltd, an Indian company named in the privacy policy, and the pricing page offers a rupee alternative to its dollar prices. Three separate free tools sit in the footer, LinkedIn Post Ideas advertised as 100% Free Forever, a LinkedIn Carousel Generator and a LinkedIn Creators Programme, and the carousel page carries a Product Hunt badge. Headline claims such as 4X More Impressions on LinkedIn, 89% Traffic increase in 2 months and $1.2M Sourced Revenue from LinkedIn are displayed without any source or methodology.

When to use Dottypost / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Dottypost is the right fit.
When to use Dottypost
- Founders and creators who publish on LinkedIn several times a week and need a steady supply of drafts, the audience the site itself claims with its 10,000+ founders and creators figure
- Freelancers, consultants and coaches building a personal audience on LinkedIn without a marketing team behind them
- Social media managers and content managers in charge of one LinkedIn profile or one company page day to day
- Small marketing and growth teams, and agencies working on client accounts: the Team plan covers 5 users, 5 LinkedIn accounts and 5 company pages, with real-time collaboration
- Bloggers and YouTubers who want to recycle an existing article, video or Short into LinkedIn posts and carousels
When not to use Dottypost
- Anyone who publishes beyond LinkedIn: X, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok are not covered, the product stops at one network
- Teams that want to plug generation into their own stack: no public API and no developer documentation
- People who work from their phone: there is no iOS or Android app and no browser extension, only the web app
- Organisations with formal GDPR obligations: no data processing agreement, no named hosting country, no Article 27 representative and no statement on model training
- Large teams and anyone under 18: the widest published plan stops at 5 users and 5 LinkedIn accounts, and the privacy policy sets 18 as the minimum age
How to use Dottypost
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account on app.dottypost.com: the Start for FREE button repeated across the site points to the signup page, and existing users log in from the same app
- Sign up by email or through a social login, an option mentioned in the privacy policy
- Connect the LinkedIn account you publish from, and a company page if your plan includes one
- Choose an input: a free-form topic, an existing blog article, a YouTube video or a YouTube Short
- For a post, let the AI draft it, or start from one of the 100+ templates or the 10,000+ inspiration posts filtered by industry
- For post ideas, enter a keyword from your niche and let the tool return ideas for that niche
- For a carousel, pick a template, adjust the colours and add your own image on the call-to-action slide
- Use the AI on an existing LinkedIn post when you would rather rewrite than start from scratch
- Review and edit the result, then share it or schedule it on LinkedIn in one click, or download the carousel
- Invite teammates or clients into the workspace to work on content in real time, and manage what is queued from the same web app
Pros & Cons
Pros
- The whole LinkedIn chain in one place: idea, drafting, carousel, scheduling and publishing, with no second tool to bolt on
- Four input sources, a topic, an existing blog, a YouTube video or a Short, where many generators accept only a prompt
- Carousels are native, template-based, customisable and downloadable, not an afterthought bolted onto text output
- A ready starting point with 10,000+ inspiration posts and 100+ templates, filterable by industry
- Multi-account and company page management from the entry plan, 1 account and 1 page, with real-time team and client collaboration
- Public and low pricing, entry at USD 15 per month, with a stated refund policy processed in 5 to 7 days through support
- Three free tools usable without a subscription, one announced as 100% Free Forever, and a public affiliate programme paying up to 30% per sale
Cons
- Scope limited to LinkedIn: no other social network is covered
- No published API, no mobile app and no browser extension
- No postal address published anywhere on the site, no about page and no contact page, support@dottypost.com being the only channel
- No mention of GDPR, no data processing agreement, no Article 27 representative and no hosting country, and the privacy policy is silent on whether customer data trains AI models
- FAQ answers on the site and on the affiliate page are rendered in JavaScript and absent from the HTML: the questions are visible, the answers are not retrievable
- AI credits are capped at 30 then 100 per month, with no public definition of what consumes a credit
- Performance figures are displayed without source or methodology, and a published testimonial reports a little bit of a learning curve... some of the templates have to be tweaked after being generated
Pricing & Plans
Dottypost is sold as a monthly subscription with three paid tiers, displayed in US dollars with an Indian rupee toggle on the pricing page. The entry point is Lite at USD 15.00 per month, followed by Growth at USD 19.00 per month and Team (Additional Seats) at USD 59.00 per month. No permanent free tier is shown on the pricing page, but every page of the site carries a Start for FREE call to action and the pricing FAQ includes a dedicated question about credit card details for the free trial, so a free trial does exist even though its conditions are not published in readable form. A separate free tool, LinkedIn Post Ideas, is advertised as 100% Free Forever. No annual pricing and no enterprise plan are published. Refunds are requested through support@dottypost.com and are stated to be processed within 5 to 7 days.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Dottypost handles your data.
GDPR overview
The word GDPR appears nowhere on the site: a keyword search across every page retrieved, HTML included, returned no match. Dottypost therefore makes no compliance claim, which is silence rather than a refusal. The privacy policy does grant overlapping rights: EEA and UK residents may complain to their member state authority or to the UK regulator, Swiss residents are pointed to the FDPIC, consent can be withdrawn at any time, and access, rectification, update and deletion rights are announced in the terms and refund pages. Rights are exercised by submitting a data subject access request or by emailing support@dottypost.com, although no request form is actually linked. A separate section covers California residents. There is no DPA, no Article 27 representative, no named DPO, no hosting country, and no effective or revision date on the policy.
Who owns the data?
The privacy policy is issued by Linckup Innovations Pvt Ltd, the company behind Dottypost, which therefore controls the data. Users volunteer names and email addresses; the service also collects IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preference, referring URLs, device name, country, location and usage logs. Signing in through a social network passes on the name, email, friends list and profile picture held by that provider. The policy states We do not process sensitive information and We do not receive any information from third parties. Users can review, change or delete their account from the settings, and on a termination request the account is deactivated or removed from active databases, though some data may be kept to prevent fraud, troubleshoot, investigate or meet legal obligations.
Reuse rights
Dottypost says it processes personal data only when it has a valid legal reason to do so, and lists a narrow set of purposes: creating and authenticating accounts, managing user accounts, delivering the service requested, answering requests and support, sending administrative information such as changes to terms, asking for feedback, and posting testimonials, with the policy warning that We post testimonials on our Services that may contain personal information. The terms add that the company may send updates, promotions and other relevant information. Only one sharing situation is described, business transfers in a merger, sale of assets, financing or acquisition, and no subprocessor list is published. The site does not honour Do-Not-Track: we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. Nothing in the policy says whether user content is used to train AI models, so that use is neither authorised nor ruled out.

Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Dottypost.
- No postal address is published anywhere on the site, and there is neither an about page nor a contact page: support@dottypost.com is the only channel if something goes wrong
- Complete silence on GDPR, on any data processing agreement and on the countries where data is hosted
- The privacy policy says nothing about whether user content is used to train AI models, neither authorising nor excluding it
- Performance figures are displayed without source or methodology: 4X More Impressions, 89% Traffic increase in 2 months, $1.2M Sourced Revenue
- FAQ answers on the home, pricing and affiliate pages are rendered in JavaScript and absent from the HTML, so free trial conditions, what an AI credit consumes, whether a live demo exists and affiliate payout minimums cannot be verified
- AI credits are capped at 30 then 100 per month with no public definition of what consumes one, and neither the privacy policy nor the terms carry an effective or revision date
- The terms ban scraping and unsupported automation, and publishing through a third-party tool remains subject to LinkedIn's own rules, which the site never addresses; note also that the footer copyright reads DottPost while the brand is Dottypost, and that the domain registered on 21/05/2023 carries 2013 Wayback captures belonging to a previous owner
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. Dottypost is a web application: nothing to install, no server configuration and no API key. You create an account on app.dottypost.com, by email or through a social login, then connect a LinkedIn account and, depending on the plan, a company page. The carousel and post ideas pages each document a three-step path, so a first output takes minutes rather than hours. One published testimonial does report friction: a little bit of a learning curve - just slightly not intuitive and some of the templates have to be tweaked after being generated.

Should you pick Dottypost?
Dottypost is a real, documented product rather than a landing page: public pricing with three detailed tiers, three separate legal pages, three dedicated tool pages showing the workflow step by step, a live web app and an affiliate programme running on a third-party billing platform. Its positioning is deliberately narrow, LinkedIn only, from the first idea to the scheduled post, which is exactly what makes it efficient for founders, creators, freelancers and small social teams who publish on that one network and nowhere else. The entry price is low at USD 15 per month, but the ceilings are tight in return: AI credits capped at 30 then 100 per month with no public definition of what consumes one, and a single LinkedIn account outside the Team plan. What lets it down is company transparency rather than the product: no postal address anywhere, no about or contact page, no mention of GDPR, no data processing agreement and no hosting country, and FAQ answers that never appear in the page source. The publisher is Linckup Innovations Pvt Ltd, an Indian company, and the site has been online since mid-2023. Worth a trial if LinkedIn is your only channel, and worth a few direct questions to support first if your organisation has formal data protection requirements.
