Overview

What is Minvo?

Minvo is a browser-based video repurposing suite published by Momento Podcasting Inc., which trades as Minvo. The principle is simple: you upload one long video and the AI hands back short clips, images and written content built from what was said in it. The homepage sums it up as creating clips, images and text from any video in minutes rather than hours, and claims more than 10,000 creators and businesses on board, with G2 and AppSumo badges to match.

The clipping engine detects and scores the strongest moments, and you can also pick your own passages straight from the transcript. Editing then works two ways: like a text document, where highlighting a sentence cuts it out of the video, or on a precision timeline for frame-level work. On top of that sits MagicEdit, powered by GPT-4o, which trims the ums and ahs, drops in emojis and inserts AI-chosen B-roll. Individual toggles cover AI Enhance Intro, filler-word and silence removal, AI Face Framing to keep the speaker centred in vertical format, AI Studio Audio for background noise, AI Voice Dubbing in 50+ languages and unlimited image generation. Transcription and translation are announced in 50+ languages, animated captions in 20+.

Minvo does not stop at the edit. AI Write turns the same recording into blog posts, titles, descriptions, X posts and threads, Q&A articles, newsletters and content ideas, while the social side adds unlimited scheduling, unlimited brands and accounts, and social analytics. Clipping, editing, writing, publishing and reporting therefore happen in one tab. The tool connects to YouTube (through the YouTube API), TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google services.

Five persona pages spell out the audience: podcasts, live streams, sermons, vlogs and entrepreneurs, and interviews for agencies. What it does not do is equally clear. There is no generation of video from nothing, since a source file is required; there is no mobile app and no browser extension; and the white-label video API and SDK advertised on the site are still a waiting list you request early access to. The interactive demo on the homepage is gated too, as every button leads to the sign-in screen.

What it does

  • Publish and schedule clips to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Write blog posts, titles, descriptions, X posts and newsletters from the same video

When to use Minvo / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Minvo is the right fit.

When to use Minvo

  • Podcasters who want every episode cut into shorts for YouTube, TikTok and Reels without opening a traditional video editor
  • Live streamers who need highlights pulled out of long broadcasts and ready-made clips to hand to sponsors
  • Churches and ministry teams turning a weekly sermon into short captioned messages for their congregation
  • Solo entrepreneurs and vloggers who film their own content and want clips, captions and social posts in a single sitting
  • Agencies juggling several clients, with unlimited brands and social accounts, plus client review before anything goes out

When not to use Minvo

  • Anyone expecting video to be created from scratch: Minvo only works from a source video you upload
  • High-volume publishers and long archives: monthly quotas stop at 1 hour (Creator) or 5 hours (Pro and Pro+), each video is capped at 5 minutes to 3 hours, and uploads expire after 14 to 60 days
  • Teams of more than three people: plans include 1, 2 or 3 seats and nothing above that
  • Landscape-first editors on a tight budget: the entry plan exports 9:16 portrait only, 16:9 starts at Pro
  • Developers wanting to embed clipping in their own product, and buyers whose procurement requires a DPA, a subprocessor list or a stated hosting region, none of which Minvo publishes

How to use Minvo

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Create an account on app.minvo.pro/signup; the trial starts with no credit card required
  2. Upload a long video, or bring in a YouTube link, from the Upload Video to Get Started button that sits on every page
  3. Let the AI scan the recording and score the moments it considers worth clipping, the promise being pro-edited moments in three clicks
  4. Keep the suggested clips, or select your own passages directly from the transcript
  5. Refine the cut either by highlighting text in the transcript or frame by frame on the timeline
  6. Switch on the AI passes you need: face framing, B-roll, silence removal, filler words, audio clean-up
  7. Add animated captions, then translate or dub the clip into one of the 50+ supported languages
  8. Apply your brand kit and presets so every export keeps the same look, and export in 4K without a watermark
  9. Connect your YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts, then schedule the posts with AI-generated captions and hashtags
  10. Follow results in the built-in social analytics, and lean on the Minvo Pro-Tips playlist on YouTube or the in-app ticket system when you get stuck

Pricing

Pricing & Plans

Minvo is sold by subscription in US dollars across three paid tiers. The entry point is the Creator plan at 6.99 USD per month, or 3.49 USD per month with annual billing, a 50% discount applied across the range. A free trial is available and requires no credit card, but the pricing page shows no permanent free plan and the site never states that one exists. Billing renews automatically unless auto-renewal is switched off, and cancellation is possible at any time, with access maintained until the end of the current period. A refund may be requested through an in-app ticket within 48 hours of the charge, without any guarantee of approval; beyond that window, no refund is granted, not even a partial one.

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Minvo handles your data.

GDPR overview

The privacy policy carries a dedicated Data protection rights under GDPR section for EEA residents, listing seven rights: access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability and withdrawal of consent, plus the right to complain to an EEA supervisory authority. Identity verification is required before a request is answered, and a separate California section adds a CCPA opt-out of data selling. The wording stays cautious throughout: Momento Podcasting Inc. aims to take reasonable steps, and compliance is never claimed outright. Transfers outside the EU are acknowledged without naming a mechanism, so no standard contractual clauses and no adequacy decision. No Article 27 EU representative and no data protection officer are designated, hello@minvo.pro is the only address published for such requests, and the policy still dates from 28 July 2020.

Who owns the data?

Neither document states who owns the videos you upload or the clips Minvo produces. The terms of 13 May 2024 stay silent on user content and only confirm that nothing in the agreement transfers Momento Podcasting Inc.'s own intellectual property to you. Account data is handled separately: the privacy policy of 28 July 2020 lets you delete some personal information from your account settings, while warning that an unreviewed copy may survive that deletion to cover obligations towards affiliates and partners. Personal information is not shared with unaffiliated third parties, but a merger, an acquisition or a sale of assets would move your account and your personal data along with the business.

Reuse rights

Signing up requires a name, an email address, a username, a unique identifier and a password. The application also collects IP address, location, device, operating system, language, searches and access dates automatically, and the policy limits that automatic collection to spotting abuse and compiling usage statistics. Twelve further purposes are listed, including service improvement, marketing, targeted advertising and customer testimonials, each attached to a legal basis: consent, performance of the contract, legal obligation, public interest or legitimate interest. Data may be passed to trusted third parties but not to unaffiliated ones, advertising may be served through third-party managers such as Google or Facebook, and the policy refers users to Google's own terms for the Google services Minvo integrates with. Nothing in either document says whether uploaded videos or transcripts feed AI model training, and no opt-out is offered.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Two different clocks apply. Personal data is kept for the period necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements: no duration is given, and no log retention or purge schedule is published. Once that period expires the data is deleted, and the policy is explicit that the rights of access, erasure, rectification and portability can no longer be exercised afterwards. Aggregated, non-identifying data may still be used after an update or a deletion, and an unreviewed copy of deleted information may be retained for obligations towards affiliates and partners. You can delete your account and some personal data from your settings. Separately, as a commercial quota rather than a legal rule, uploaded videos are stored 14 days on Creator, 30 on Pro and 60 on Pro+, then expire.
GDPR contact

Hosting summary

Minvo publishes almost nothing about where its data lives. The privacy policy of 28 July 2020 states only that information is secured on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment: no country, no region and no cloud provider is named. International transfers are acknowledged in general terms, the policy noting that data transfers may involve storing your information in a country other than your own, but no mechanism is cited, neither standard contractual clauses nor an adequacy decision. There is no trust or security page, and no certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 appears anywhere on the site; no data processing agreement and no subprocessor list are offered either. The hosting country and region fields of this listing therefore stay empty, because there is nothing to record. As a network signal only, and not as a statement by the publisher, the domain resolves to 216.150.1.1, an address geolocated in the United States and announced by AS16509 (Amazon.com) — that indicates where the website is served from, not where customer videos and personal data are stored. The only jurisdiction Minvo does commit to is Ontario, Canada, through the governing-law clause of its terms of 13 May 2024.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Minvo.

  • No postal address is published anywhere on the site, and one generic mailbox, hello@minvo.pro, handles legal, GDPR and support requests alike. For a paid subscription sold to EEA residents, that leaves you with no verifiable place of business to write to.
  • The privacy policy is dated 28 July 2020, nearly four years older than the terms of 13 May 2024. Its cookies section still shows unreplaced template placeholders in square brackets, and it points to a Do Not Sell page without linking to it. Documentation kept that loosely is a poor guide to what the product actually does with your data.
  • Nothing is published about where data is hosted, no DPA or subprocessor list is offered, and neither document says whether uploaded videos and transcripts are used to train AI models, nor is any opt-out proposed. If your recordings carry confidential client, pastoral or personal material, you are trusting the tool without written commitments.
  • Your videos expire: storage runs 14 days on Creator, 30 on Pro and 60 on Pro+. Treating Minvo as a media library will cost you work, so archive masters and exports elsewhere from day one.
  • Refunds are capped at 48 hours after the charge and, in the terms' own words, submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval. Subscriptions renew automatically until you turn auto-renewal off, so a trial forgotten in a calendar becomes a charge.
  • The API and SDK are presented as products but amount to a Request Early Access waitlist, so do not plan an integration around them. The Instagram, YouTube and TikTok labels in the footer are links with no destination, which also removes the easiest way to check the company's activity.
  • The AI decides what is worth keeping. Leaning on clip scoring, auto-captions and AI-written posts without a final human pass will erode your own editorial judgement, and the mistakes go out under your name, not Minvo's: a mistranslated caption, a quote cut away from its context, a sermon clipped into something it never said. Note too that the brand changed name, the blog still living on momentoai.substack.com, so the company is harder to trace than the product page suggests.
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Very low. Minvo is a web application: nothing to install, and no developer skills needed since the API and SDK are not open anyway. You sign up at app.minvo.pro/signup, start the trial without a credit card, upload a video, and the site promises pro-edited moments in three clicks. The only real setup step is connecting your YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts if you want to publish directly. Minvo pitches easy editing for beginners and advanced editing for pros: the transcript editor is usable straight away, while the precision timeline takes practice.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a credit card to try Minvo?
No. The pricing page offers a free trial with no credit card required. There is, however, no permanent free plan advertised: past the trial, the cheapest tier is a paid one.
Which is the cheapest paid plan?
Creator, at 6.99 USD per month, or 3.49 USD per month if you commit to annual billing, which takes 50% off. All prices are quoted in US dollars.
How much video can I process each month, and how long can each video be?
Creator allows 1 hour of video per month with a 5-minute cap per video. Pro and Pro+ both allow 5 hours per month, with a cap of 2 hours per video on Pro and 3 hours on Pro+.
Are my uploads stored permanently?
No. Video storage is time-limited and part of the plan quota: 14 days on Creator, 30 days on Pro and 60 days on Pro+, after which the files expire. Keep your masters and exports elsewhere.
Can I publish to social platforms directly from Minvo?
Yes. Minvo publishes and schedules to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, with unlimited scheduling, unlimited connected accounts and brands, and social analytics reports in the same tool.
Do exports carry a watermark?
No. Watermark-free export is included on the paid plans, along with 4K export and priority import and export queues.
How many languages does Minvo handle?
The site announces 50+ languages for transcription, translation and AI Voice Dubbing, and 20+ languages for animated captions. The interface itself is in English.
Can I get a refund?
You can submit a refund request through an in-app ticket within 48 hours of the charge, and the terms state that submitting a request does not guarantee approval. After 48 hours, no refund is granted. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.
Is there an API, a mobile app or a browser extension?
None of the three are available today. A white-label video API and SDK are advertised, but the page is a waiting list with a Request Early Access form and no documentation. No iOS, Android or extension listing was found: Minvo is a web-only product.
Who publishes Minvo, and how do I get in touch?
Minvo is published by Momento Podcasting Inc., doing business as Minvo, with disputes governed by the laws and courts of Ontario, Canada. The only address published anywhere on the site is hello@minvo.pro; first-line support runs through an in-app ticket system.
Conclusion

Should you pick Minvo?

Minvo covers an unusually long stretch of the video repurposing chain for its price. A single upload feeds AI clipping, a transcript editor doubled with a precision timeline, captions and dubbing in 50+ languages, AI-written blogs and social posts, unlimited scheduling to five platforms and the analytics that follow, all from 6.99 USD a month (3.49 with annual billing), with 4K watermark-free exports. For a solo podcaster, a church communications volunteer or a small agency running several brands, that breadth is the real argument: no second subscription, no export-import loop between tools.

The reservations sit on the other side of the product. Entry-level quotas are tight, at one hour of video a month, five minutes per video and portrait format only; uploads expire after 14 to 60 days depending on the plan; and the advertised video API and SDK are still a waiting list. More importantly, the corporate and legal apparatus is thin. Momento Podcasting Inc., trading as Minvo, publishes no postal address, routes legal, GDPR and support requests through one generic mailbox, and still serves a privacy policy dated 28 July 2020 whose cookies section carries unreplaced template placeholders, while the terms were refreshed on 13 May 2024. No DPA, no subprocessor list, no hosting location, nothing on model training.

The product itself looks alive and maintained: current pricing, terms revised in 2024, a presence on G2 and AppSumo, a domain registered on 1 January 2024 and first archived on 29 February 2024. Disputes fall under Ontario law, in Canada. Our reading: strong value for money for individual creators and small teams who can work inside the quotas, and a harder sell for any organisation whose procurement asks for a data processing agreement before it signs anything.
