Overview

What is ElevenMusic?

ElevenMusic is an AI music platform published by Eleven Labs Inc. that brings creation, remixing and listening together in one place. It runs on Music v2, the publisher's own music model, credited with stronger vocals, instrumentation and arrangements, wider multilingual coverage and expanded creative controls. It is a separate product from ElevenCreative Music: it requires its own account, and an existing ElevenCreative subscription does not carry over.

Creation starts from a text prompt, a mood or your own lyrics, and returns a complete track — vocals, instrumentation and arrangement — in seconds. Muse, introduced in August 2026, turns that into a conversation: it asks about mood, structure, duration and style before generating, then takes instructions such as regenerating a bridge, softening an intro or swapping to female vocals, while leaving you free to take back manual control whenever you want. Composer works at the level of the song structure, letting you rewrite lyrics, change the key, tempo or energy of a single section, audition several takes side by side, and swap, double or extend sections without touching the rest of the track.

Five focused tools each cover one creative move. Loop Studio builds a seamless loop from a genre and a BPM; Voice to Song turns a rough vocal recording into a polished track that still sounds like you; Genreshift changes the genre while keeping voice and melody; Sample to Song develops a sample, drum loop or riff into a full arrangement; Unplugged produces an intimate acoustic version. Sounds adds a free library of AI loops, vocal chops and stems, browsable and downloadable on both plans, with daily free generations when the sound you need is missing.

The other half of the platform is a listening service: an Explore feed, charts, genres, editorial playlists, artist profiles, live Spaces and community remixes. Achievements and creation streaks hand out extra generations, and a discretionary Creator Royalty Program shares part of the revenue from certain subscriptions among eligible creators according to verified listens. ElevenMusic runs in the browser and as an iPhone application, and can be tried without an account.

Audience

When to use ElevenMusic / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if ElevenMusic is the right fit.

When to use ElevenMusic

  • Creators with no production background who want a finished track from a written description
  • Songwriters who want to hear their own lyrics sung and reworked verse by verse
  • Content creators and video editors looking for original background music
  • Producers hunting free AI loops, samples and vocal chops to build on
  • Hobbyist musicians who want to publish, remix and be heard by a listening community

When not to use ElevenMusic

  • Studios and labels that need to export masters into a DAW, since the terms of service restrict outputs to the platform itself
  • Developers looking for a music API: ElevenMusic publishes none, and the ElevenLabs Music API belongs to a separate product
  • Android users, as the mobile application is available on iPhone only
  • Teams that need third-party integrations, plugins or an automation layer, none of which exist here
  • Anyone under 18, who is excluded by the terms of service and the privacy policy
Get started

How to use ElevenMusic

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Open elevenmusic.io in a browser or install the iPhone application; the creation panel can be tried without an account
  2. Describe the track you want in the prompt field, for example an upbeat indie pop song about a fresh start with warm vocals
  3. Alternatively, open Muse and answer its questions on mood, structure, duration and style before the first generation
  4. Generate the complete track and listen to it in the player
  5. Iterate on genre, mood and arrangement, or open Composer to rework a single section, its lyrics, key, tempo or length
  6. Audition several takes of the same section side by side and keep the one that works
  7. Start from existing material instead: a hummed idea or voice note with Voice to Song, a sample with Sample to Song, a genre change with Genreshift, an acoustic version with Unplugged, a seamless loop with Loop Studio
  8. Pull loops and samples from the Sounds library, or describe and generate the sound you are missing
  9. Create an artist profile, publish the track to Explore and follow its statistics on the Pro plan
  10. Remix tracks published by the community, or let others remix yours

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how ElevenMusic handles your data.

GDPR overview

ElevenMusic relies on the ElevenLabs privacy policy, linked from the footer and the sign-in screen. It grants the usual GDPR rights — access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent and complaint to a supervisory authority — exercised through an online form or by writing to the Data Protection Officer at legal@elevenlabs.io. For residents of the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the controller for voice data is Eleven Labs Poland sp. z o.o. in Warsaw. Transfers rely on EU standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions and the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework, whose certification covers the US entity alone. A data processing addendum is published, a subprocessor list is maintained on the compliance portal, and a SOC 2 Type II report is available on written request. No Article 27 representative is designated.

Who owns the data?

Under the terms of service you keep the rights to your prompts and to any music you upload. In exchange, Eleven Labs Inc. receives a licence that is non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide and sub-licensable through multiple tiers, covering your uploads, your prompts, your name, image, likeness and voice, and any rights you may hold in the generated output. That licence serves to operate, promote and improve the service and to develop the publisher's other products, and it lasts as long as your content is stored. Other users may comment on, share and remix what you publish, and adaptations already made survive the removal of your original track.

Reuse rights

Reuse is deliberately narrow. The terms state that uploaded music and generated outputs are for use and personal enjoyment within the service only, and may not be downloaded, extracted, licensed, performed, distributed or published elsewhere, including on streaming and user-generated content platforms; you may share links back to the platform, nothing more. The licence granted to you is limited to personal, non-commercial use, except where the publisher opens monetisation through its Creator Royalty Program. Two carve-outs exist: the Pro plan includes ten high-quality WAV downloads per month, and the Sounds library is presented as royalty-free samples and loops usable in anything. On the vendor's side, uploads, prompts and outputs feed model training by default; the 'Data use' menu in the 'Terms and Privacy' section of the account switches that off for the future, with no retroactive effect. Marketing pages nevertheless describe tracks as cleared for broad commercial use, so the current licence should be checked before any professional use.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
The privacy policy says personal data is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. The period depends on the type of service, the nature and length of the relationship, statutory retention duties and applicable limitation periods. Two figures are given: data generated about a user's voice is not kept more than three years after the last interaction, and biometric data is kept until the purpose lapses or three years after the relationship ends, whichever comes first. Closing an account forfeits any unused credits. No retention period is published for the tracks, prompts and outputs themselves.

Hosting summary

The privacy policy states that hosting and server locations are maintained in the United States, the Netherlands and Singapore, and that all personal data is transferred to the United States for storage regardless of where the user lives. Categories of recipients are listed with examples: cloud providers such as Google Cloud in those three countries, payment processors such as Stripe in the United States, marketing analytics such as Google Analytics, and customer support tools such as Slack. Transfers rely on adequacy decisions, EU and Brazilian standard contractual clauses, and certification under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework, which covers the US entity only. Customers under the published processing addendum may request data residency in a given jurisdiction, but the addendum makes clear that subprocessors, support staff and the moderation team may still access data from outside that region. On the day of review the site resolved to an anycast address operated by Google.

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting ElevenMusic.

  • Usage rights are contradictory: the terms of service confine outputs to personal, non-commercial use inside the platform, while the marketing pages announce tracks cleared for broad commercial use
  • The licence granted to the publisher is very wide — worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable through multiple tiers, and covering your name, image, likeness and voice
  • Removing one of your tracks does not delete the adaptations other users have already created from it
  • Model training is enabled by default; the opt-out has to be found in the account settings and does not undo past use
  • The royalty programme is entirely discretionary: eligibility, revenue share, the definition of a verified listen and payout thresholds can all be changed unilaterally
  • Subscriptions renew automatically and all sales are final, with no pro rata refund on cancellation
  • Generating a finished song in seconds makes it easy to stop learning the craft; the platform rewards streaks and volume, which can turn creation into a habit loop rather than a practice
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Very low. ElevenMusic runs in the browser with nothing to install, and the creation panel can be used before signing in. An account is opened with Google or Apple, and it has to be a dedicated ElevenMusic account rather than an existing ElevenLabs one. No DAW, hardware or production experience is required, and an iPhone application is available. The only real learning curve is writing prompts that describe the music you want, which the publisher addresses with a dedicated guide on its blog.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is ElevenMusic free to use?
Yes. A permanent free plan allows five track generations per day, together with listening, publishing and downloads from the Sounds library, and the creation panel can be tried without an account.
How much does the Pro plan cost?
The publisher's App Store entry lists ElevenMusic Monthly at USD 9.99 and ElevenMusic Annual at USD 95.90. The website itself does not publish a price list: its pricing page redirects to the sign-in screen.
Can the tracks be used commercially?
This is the point to settle before any professional use. The marketing pages describe tracks as cleared for broad commercial use, varying by subscription tier, while the terms of service limit the licence to personal, non-commercial use inside the platform.
Can generated tracks be downloaded?
The terms of service forbid exploiting outputs outside the service. The Pro plan nevertheless includes ten high-quality WAV downloads per month, and the loops and samples in the Sounds library are downloadable on both plans.
Is production experience required?
No. There is no DAW, no installation and no setup. Five focused tools each handle a single creative move, and the workflow is non-destructive, so a result can be heard, adjusted and generated again.
Can you start from your own lyrics or your own voice?
Yes. Lyrics can be pasted into the prompt and edited section by section in Composer, a hummed idea or voice note can be turned into a song with Voice to Song, and a sample or riff can be developed with Sample to Song.
Is there a mobile application?
Yes, on iPhone. No Android version exists: the publisher's documentation describes the application as iOS only.
Is user content used to train the models?
Yes, by default. The terms of service allow the publisher to use uploads, prompts and outputs to improve its services and models, and an opt-out is available from the 'Data use' menu in the 'Terms and Privacy' section of the account. It applies to future use only.
Does an ElevenLabs subscription give access to ElevenMusic?
No. ElevenMusic is a separate product from ElevenCreative Music, requires its own account, and existing ElevenCreative subscriptions cannot be used with it.
Can creators earn money from their tracks?
A Creator Royalty Program exists, but participation is optional and entirely at the publisher's discretion. A share of the revenue from certain subscriptions feeds a royalty pool distributed according to verified listens, with a minimum payout threshold cited at USD 25.
Conclusion

Should you pick ElevenMusic?

ElevenMusic is a young product — its domain was first archived in March 2026 — but it moves quickly: Tools, Mixes, Vocals, References, Achievements, Sounds, Composer and Muse all shipped between June and August 2026. It is also backed by an unusually well-funded publisher, ElevenLabs having raised USD 781 million across five rounds and reached an USD 11 billion valuation in February 2026.

As a way into AI music, it is hard to fault. There is nothing to install and no DAW to learn, the free plan gives five tracks a day, and the tools let you start from something you already have — a hum, a voice note, a sample, a half-finished track — rather than from a blank prompt. Composer and Muse provide a level of after-the-fact control that a one-shot generator does not offer, and the Sounds library is unusually generous for a free tier.

The reservations concern what happens next. The ecosystem is closed: no API, no plugin, no third-party integration, an iOS-only mobile application, and ten high-quality WAV downloads a month even on Pro. Pricing stays invisible until an account is created. Above all, the marketing pages promise tracks cleared for broad commercial use while the terms of service restrict outputs to personal, non-commercial enjoyment inside the platform — a contradiction that anyone planning professional use should settle with the publisher before relying on it. Data governance is documented, but it is the parent company's framework rather than one written for ElevenMusic, and model training is on by default.
