Hoory AI
Hoory AI is an all-in-one customer support platform combining a live chat widget, trainable AI assistants, a no-code chatbot builder, an AI call centre, an omnichannel inbox, a help centre and workflow automation, billed per agent from six dollars monthly.
What is Hoory AI?
Hoory AI is a customer support platform published by Soft Construct LLC of Glendale, California. It gathers eight products under one subscription: a live chat widget, trainable AI assistants, a no-code chatbot builder, an AI call centre, an omnichannel inbox, contact management, a help centre and workflow automation. The pitch is straightforward — let software absorb the repetitive half of a support queue so that human agents keep the rest.
The AI assistant sits at the centre. You train it on unstructured or semi-structured documents about your business, link it to a help centre portal, or chain it to another assistant, then choose the engine behind it: GPT-4o, Gemini, Claude, or a custom model arranged with the vendor. Natural language processing interprets the incoming question, tone and response guidelines shape the answer, and anything the assistant cannot resolve is handed to a human agent without the customer having to repeat themselves. Hoory AI claims on its homepage that 85% of conversations are resolved this way, across 840 million messages a year, with a 5% AI error rate.
Channels are the second pillar. The same inbox receives website chat, a direct chat link or QR code, email, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, LINE, Twitter, an API channel and a voice channel. The call centre buys you a local or international business number, handles inbound and outbound calls, records them for quality assurance, and produces transcripts and summaries. Text and audio are supported in more than 120 languages, with transliteration included.
Around that sit the practical tools of a support desk: canned responses, macros, private notes, @mentions, agent roles, business hours, queue assignment, contact segments with custom attributes and CSV import, and reporting that covers CSAT, first-response time, resolution and per-channel activity. Mobile apps ship for iOS and Android, a public API is documented in Swagger, and the widget has integration guides for React, Next.js, Gatsby, WordPress and Google Tag Manager.
What the site does not say is equally worth knowing: no hosting country, no security certification and no data processing agreement appear anywhere, even though healthcare, insurance and banking are named as target industries.
What it does
- Resolve incoming conversations automatically with an AI assistant trained on your own documents and help centre
- Bring website chat, email, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, LINE, Twitter and API traffic into one shared inbox
- Answer inbound and outbound phone calls with conversational AI, then transcribe and summarise each call
- Design conversation flows without code, using message bubbles, input fields, variables and conditional logic
- Publish a branded self-service help centre and wire it into the AI assistant as a knowledge source
- Automate repetitive handling — labelling, routing, replying, resolving — through conditional rules and macros
- Track performance with real-time analytics, CSAT scores, first-response and resolution reports by agent, label and channel
When to use Hoory AI / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Hoory AI is the right fit.
When to use Hoory AI
- Customer support teams that juggle several inboxes and want website chat, email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, SMS, LINE and phone calls handled from a single shared workspace.
- Small businesses and growing startups looking for AI-assisted support on a modest budget, with plans running from 6 to 42 dollars per agent each month.
- Retail and e-commerce operators who need an embeddable chat widget, pre-chat contact capture and round-the-clock answers to repetitive product questions.
- Regulated-sector service desks in insurance, healthcare, banking and real estate, all of which Hoory AI addresses with dedicated industry pages.
- International teams serving customers in many languages, since the assistant handles text and audio in more than 120 of them and offers transliteration.
When not to use Hoory AI
- Private individuals and hobbyists: the terms require that users do not qualify as consumers, and every plan is priced per agent.
- Organisations bound by data-residency rules, since the site names no hosting country or region anywhere.
- Buyers whose procurement checklist demands SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA attestations, or a data processing agreement — none is published.
- Call centres that must keep their existing phone numbers: Hoory AI states plainly that numbers have to be bought during channel setup.
- Anyone hoping for a permanently free tier, because the only free access is a 14-day trial that converts into a paid subscription unless cancelled.
How to use Hoory AI
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Sign up on the Hoory AI web app and start the 14-day trial — no card is requested at this point
- Create your first channel: website widget, email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, SMS, LINE, Twitter, API or voice
- Customise the widget — avatar, welcome heading, tagline, reply time, colour, bubble position — and paste the script into your site
- Create an AI assistant and pick its engine among GPT-4o, Gemini, Claude or a custom model
- Train it by uploading unstructured or semi-structured documents describing your products and policies
- Build a help centre portal, fill it with articles, and connect it to the assistant to widen its knowledge base
- Set the tone and response guidelines so the assistant answers in your brand's voice
- Connect the assistant to the channels you opened, then publish
- For phone support, open a call channel, purchase a business number and attach the assistant to it
- Add automation rules and monitor the result through real-time analytics, CSAT and resolution reports
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Unusually broad coverage for the money: chat, AI, chatbot builder, telephony, help centre, contacts and automation in one subscription
- Very low entry point at 6 USD per user each month, with unlimited conversations and chat history on every plan
- You choose the model behind the assistant — GPT-4o, Gemini, Claude or a custom one — which is rare at this price level
- A genuine voice channel with AI answering, call recording, transcription and summarisation, not just text chat
- Text and audio support in more than 120 languages, plus transliteration
- Fourteen-day trial with no credit card, alongside iOS and Android apps and a documented public API
- Serious public documentation: a product knowledge base, a Swagger API reference, a changelog and a status page
Cons
- AI conversation credits are capped per plan — 50, 100, 200 or 300 — and every extra conversation costs 0.40 USD, making the monthly bill hard to predict
- No permanent free tier: the only free access is the 14-day trial, which converts automatically into a paid subscription unless cancelled
- Nothing is published about where data is hosted, and no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA certification is mentioned despite healthcare, banking and insurance being targeted
- No data processing agreement, no Article 27 EU representative and no named data protection officer
- A single public email address, hello@hoory.com, doubles as owner contact and GDPR channel; there is no dedicated support address and no contact page
- The About page is an unfinished template that still reads "This is the about page", and the Armenian and Arabic locales declared in the markup serve the English version
- Contractual friction: cancellation takes effect nine days after notice, accounts cannot close before the paid period ends, and the right of withdrawal is excluded outside the UK and EU

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Hoory AI handles your data.
GDPR overview
The privacy policy addresses the GDPR directly, listing seven rights — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent and objection — under "applicable data protection laws (including GDPR)". Deletion follows a documented procedure: an email to hello@hoory.com titled "Data Deletion Request", acknowledgement within five business days, removal from active databases within thirty. A separate route covers data obtained through Facebook Login. Beyond that, implementation is thin. No Article 27 representative is designated, no data protection officer is named, no data processing agreement is offered, and the phrase "GDPR compliant" never appears. The policy also states that Do Not Track signals are not honoured.
Who owns the data?
Soft Construct LLC, based in Glendale, California, presents itself as both owner and data controller. The terms reserve every intellectual property right over the platform and its content to the company and its licensors, and grant users nothing more than a revocable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable and non-transferable licence that ends the moment the agreement does. Personal data is shared with a long list of named third parties — Google Cloud Platform, Cloudflare, the Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, Stripe, Twilio, SendGrid, Zoho, Sentry and others — which the company says it selects for equivalent protection. Nothing in the published documents states that the customer keeps ownership of the conversations or knowledge bases they create.
Reuse rights
Reuse is tightly framed. The terms forbid copying, downloading, sharing, modifying, translating, transforming, publishing, transmitting, selling, sublicensing, editing or assigning any content available on the platform, and equally forbid creating derivative works from it; downloading or sharing is permitted only where the site says so explicitly, for personal non-commercial use and with attribution intact. Customers do keep a route to their own records: the terms confirm that users may reach their Hoory AI data through the public API, and the privacy policy grants the GDPR right to portability, meaning a structured, machine-readable copy on request. Two limits are worth remembering — no usage right is acquired until the full purchase price has been received, and every licence terminates immediately when the contract ends.

Hosting summary
No hosting country or region is disclosed anywhere on the site. The privacy policy names Google Cloud Platform and Cloudflare under hosting and backend infrastructure, Ucraft under platform services, and the Anthropic and OpenAI APIs among the services receiving data communicated while using the product — but never says where any of it runs. The data controller is established in the United States, at Glendale in California, and the terms are governed by Californian law with jurisdiction at the owner's seat. A DNS lookup on the domain resolves to an Amazon address geolocated in Amsterdam, which reflects content delivery rather than any declared storage location. No SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA or PCI DSS attestation is mentioned, no data processing agreement is offered, and there is no page headed subprocessors, although the privacy policy does enumerate every third-party service by purpose and by category of data. Security claims are limited to a 256-bit SSL connection and hash-based customer identity validation, both listed in the plan comparison.

Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Hoory AI.
- The 14-day trial converts automatically into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it expires, so diary the end date on day one
- Costs are only partly fixed: AI conversation credits are capped per plan and every conversation beyond them adds 0.40 USD, which scales with traffic you do not control
- No hosting location and no certification are published, while healthcare, insurance and banking are explicitly targeted — a gap that can block a compliance review outright
- Customer conversations pass through third-party model APIs listed in the privacy policy, and nothing states whether that data is used to train models or how to opt out
- Handing first-line contact to an AI that the vendor itself credits with a 5% error rate means wrong answers will reach customers, occasionally on medical, credit or insurance questions
- Support teams that let the assistant absorb every simple request risk losing the everyday practice that builds judgement, while customers may resent being kept away from a human
- Call recording and transcription trigger notice and consent duties that fall on you, not on the vendor, and vary by jurisdiction
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low to moderate. Sign-up is self-service and the trial needs no card. The chatbot builder is explicitly no-code, and the help centre is configured through a short form. Installing the website widget means pasting a script, with ready guides for React, Next.js, Gatsby, React Native, WordPress, iframes and Google Tag Manager. The technical work sits in the third-party channels: email requires DNS, IMAP and SMTP configuration, WhatsApp goes through Twilio, 360dialog or WhatsApp Cloud, Telegram needs a BotFather token, and the voice channel requires buying a number. Training the assistant is simply uploading documents.

Should you pick Hoory AI?
Hoory AI is best understood as a complete support desk with AI built in, rather than an AI feature bolted onto a help desk. For a starting price of 6 USD per user each month it delivers what larger suites charge several times more for: a shared omnichannel inbox, trainable assistants whose engine you choose, a no-code flow builder, a public help centre, contact management, automation rules and a full reporting layer. The voice channel, with AI answering, recording, transcription and call summaries, is the most distinctive piece — few tools at this price offer one at all. Support in more than 120 languages, text and audio alike, widens the appeal further.
The reservations are mostly about what is left unsaid. Nowhere does the site disclose where customer data is hosted, and no security certification, subprocessor page or data processing agreement is offered — an awkward gap for a vendor that markets itself to healthcare, insurance and banking. A single public email address serves as owner contact, legal contact and GDPR channel; there is no contact page at all, and the About page is still an unfinished template. The commercial terms deserve a careful read too: the trial converts to a paid plan automatically, cancellation takes effect nine days after notice, accounts cannot close before the paid period ends, and the right of withdrawal is excluded outside the UK and EU. Budget planning also needs attention, since AI conversation credits are capped and overflow is billed per conversation.
For a small or mid-sized team that wants broad functionality quickly and can live with limited compliance documentation, Hoory AI is a strong value proposition. For a regulated buyer with a procurement checklist, the missing paperwork will need answering before anything else.
