Metaview
Metaview is an agentic recruiting platform whose AI agents source candidates, review every inbound application, take structured interview notes and build custom hiring reports, all sharing a single context layer across the hiring process.
What is Metaview?
Metaview is an agentic recruiting platform published by Metaview Global Limited, a London company founded in 2018 by Siadhal Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, former product and engineering leaders at Uber and Palantir. It began life as an AI recruiting scribe. When GPT-3.5 arrived in late 2022 the founders rebuilt the product AI-first, and it now spans six modules: Notes, Sourcing, Outreach, Reports, Job Posts and Application Review.
What ties them together is a single layer of context. Job requirements, interview history, team preferences and company knowledge feed one intelligence layer that every agent reads from, so the sourcing agent can begin searching straight after an intake call without anyone pressing go. The organising object is an Ideal Candidate Profile, built from the job description and sharpened by each hiring decision. It stays visible, editable and overridable, and every evaluation carries its own rationale.
In practice the sourcing agent runs a web search, weighs profiles against your criteria and handles outreach; you brief it by voice, by free text, or by uploading a job description, CVs or past interviews. Application Review assesses an entire inbound pipeline in minutes and routes the strongest profiles forward, but never rejects anyone automatically. The notetaker joins calls over video or phone, captures audio, video and even code written during technical interviews, and returns notes in bullet or paragraph form from templates you define, plus one-paragraph candidate summaries. Reports is a configurable engine covering salary expectations, AI fluency and EVP analysis, with a Deep Research mode for market mapping. A further agent, fillmore, is announced on a waitlist and is meant to find, contact and schedule screening calls on its own.
Enterprise controls sit underneath: defined boundaries for what agents may do, alerts on non-compliant behaviour, and a full audit trail of the AI's reasoning. Metaview claims more than 4,000 organisations and over two million captured conversations, naming customers such as Deel, Brex, Deliveroo, Quora, Replit, Qonto and Automattic. It supports more than 50 languages and connects to well over a hundred named recruiting tools.

When to use Metaview / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Metaview is the right fit.
When to use Metaview
- In-house talent acquisition teams that already run an ATS such as Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever or Workday and want AI layered on top of it rather than beside it
- High-volume recruiters buried in inbound applications who need every candidate assessed against one explicit, written standard
- Recruiting operations and people analytics leads who want reporting on salary expectations, AI fluency or EVP without building it themselves
- Executive search firms, staffing agencies and independent headhunters whose day is sourcing, outreach and screening calls
- UK and EU employers with strict data requirements, given AWS UK hosting, SOC 2 Type II, a published DPA and a named Article 27 representative
When not to use Metaview
- Developers hoping to build on top of the product: Metaview publishes no API and no developer documentation
- Teams that need a mobile client, since Metaview ships as a web application with no iOS or Android release
- Solo recruiters on a tight budget, as paid tiers start at USD 60 per user per month and the full platform is quote-only
- Anyone expecting the AI to reject candidates outright, because Metaview never auto-rejects and leaves the decision to a human by design
- Organisations working under HIPAA, FISMA or GLBA, which the terms of service explicitly place outside the scope of the service
How to use Metaview
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account with your work email — no installation and no training are required
- Connect your ATS, calendar, video conferencing and phone tools from the native integration catalogue
- Set up single sign-on if your organisation uses a SAML or OIDC identity provider
- Configure your preferences, your note templates and, if you wish, a custom name for the bot
- Brief the platform on a role by voice, by free text, or by uploading a job description, CVs or past interviews
- Let Metaview build the Ideal Candidate Profile, then review, edit or override it
- Run a first search or record a first interview — the site claims under 45 seconds
- Let the notetaker join your calls; candidates are notified automatically and can opt out in one click
- Review the shortlists and application assessments, then make the hiring call yourself
- Open Reports to follow salary expectations and hiring trends, and let the profile sharpen as decisions accumulate
Pros & Cons
Pros
- End-to-end coverage from sourcing to reporting on one shared context layer, instead of four disconnected tools
- Unusually deep integration catalogue: over 130 named ATS and CRM systems, plus video, calendar and SSO providers
- Serious compliance posture, with SOC 2 Type II, a public DPA, an Article 27 representative and AWS UK hosting
- A permanent free plan on each agent rather than a time-limited trial
- Modular pricing: every account gets the whole platform but pays only for the agents it uses
- Assistant questions and note regenerations are included, with no credits and no usage caps
- Published customer outcomes, such as 50% less screening time at Workleap and 50 hours saved monthly at Automattic
Cons
- No public API and no developer documentation anywhere on the site
- No mobile application on iOS or Android
- Prices are published in US dollars per user per month only, with no annual option shown
- Both the Reports add-on and the complete Agentic Recruiting Platform are quote-only
- The terms of service date from June 2023 while the privacy policy was updated in March 2026: the contract lags the product
- The terms allow machine learning on aggregated, de-identified data derived from customer usage
- The Trust Center holding the named subprocessor list refuses automated access, so that list could not be verified
Pricing & Plans
Metaview offers a permanent free plan on each agent rather than a time-limited trial: the sourcing agent includes the first 100 profiles sourced, and the notetaker 25 calls per month. The lowest paid entry point is USD 60 per user per month for Notetaker Pro, while the sourcing agent starts at USD 100 per user per month. All published prices are billed per user, per month, in US dollars. The complete Agentic Recruiting Platform and the Reports add-on are available on quotation only.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Metaview handles your data.
GDPR overview
GDPR implementation is documented rather than merely claimed. The privacy policy, updated 27 March 2026, splits controllership between Metaview Global Limited for the EEA, UK and Switzerland and Metaview Labs Inc elsewhere, tabulates its lawful bases under Article 6, and names an Article 27 representative in Dublin, Osano International Compliance Services Limited. Candidates held in the sourcing database get an explicit rights map covering access, erasure, objection, rectification and restriction, answered within 30 days in the UK and EU and 45 days in the US. Transfers outside the EEA, UK or Switzerland rely on Standard Contractual Clauses. A public data processing agreement adds technical measures, a UK addendum and 14 days' notice before any subprocessor change. Metaview also claims CCPA, LGPD and PIPEDA compliance alongside SOC 2 Type II certification.
Who owns the data?
Under the terms of service, data you enter or upload remains yours, and Metaview receives only the licence it needs to run the service. The privacy and security pages restate this for interview material: all personal data relating to interviewers and candidates belongs to the customer, with Metaview acting as processor under a published data processing agreement. One exception matters. In its own sourcing database, Metaview Global Limited is the controller of professional profiles licensed from third-party data providers, not a processor. Once an employer receives a profile through the platform, that employer becomes an independent controller for everything it does next.
Reuse rights
Customers can use, export and delete their own interview data without asking Metaview: recordings are deleted at the touch of a button, and bulk transcript imports from a previous tool are supported. Metaview's own reuse is bounded by the data processing agreement, which states that personal data passing through its AI systems serves solely to deliver the service and is not used to train underlying third-party models. The terms of service are broader: they let Metaview collect, create and use aggregated or de-identified data derived from customer usage for machine learning, training, industry analysis, benchmarking and analytics, in a form that does not identify the customer. That carve-out is the clause to read closely before signing.

Hosting summary
Metaview states that it hosts all customer data in an AWS environment in the United Kingdom, and its privacy policy confirms that its infrastructure sits in the UK. The data processing agreement is more precise: personal data is primarily processed in the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany, and may be transferred to any country where Metaview or its subprocessors keep facilities, provided the transfer relies on the safeguards set out in the agreement — Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or their UK and Swiss equivalents. Technical measures are documented: encryption in transit and at rest using TLS 1.3 or above and AES-256-GCM or equivalent, hosting restricted to cloud vendors with audited physical and environmental controls, network segmentation and intrusion detection. Metaview holds SOC 2 Type II certification and shares reports on request. The named list of subprocessors is not in the agreement itself: Annex 4 points to the company's Trust Center, which could not be reached for verification.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Metaview.
- The terms of service let Metaview use aggregated, de-identified data derived from your usage for machine learning and benchmarking — a clause worth negotiating before you sign
- Metaview is the controller of its own sourcing database, built from profiles licensed from third-party data providers rather than collected from the candidates themselves
- Recording interviews is legally sensitive, and the terms place responsibility for local notification laws squarely on the customer
- Handing screening to an agent can quietly erode a team's own judgement: Metaview never auto-rejects, but the temptation to rubber-stamp its shortlist is real
- An Ideal Candidate Profile trained on past hiring decisions can inherit their biases, so its criteria deserve regular human review rather than blind trust
- The site states it is not tailored to HIPAA, FISMA or GLBA, and disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom
- The named subprocessor list sits on a Trust Center that blocks automated access, and two different US entities appear across the legal documents
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Setup is deliberately light. You create an account with a work email, connect your ATS, calendar, video conferencing and phone tools from the native integration catalogue, then configure your preferences. Metaview says a first search or first recorded interview takes under 45 seconds and that most teams are fully operational the same day. Single sign-on works with any SAML or OIDC identity provider. No installation and no training are required. For more elaborate workflows, Metaview's Forward Deployed Talent Engineers help with the configuration.

Should you pick Metaview?
Metaview is one of the more complete answers to a question recruiting teams have been asking since 2023: what happens when AI stops summarising the hiring process and starts running parts of it. Six agents — sourcing, application review, notes, outreach, job posts and reporting — sit on one shared context layer, and that design choice is what separates the product from a pile of single-purpose tools. The Ideal Candidate Profile at the centre stays visible and editable, every assessment carries its reasoning, and the platform never rejects anyone automatically. For software operating on people's careers, that restraint is deliberate and welcome.
The compliance file is unusually thorough for a company this size: SOC 2 Type II, a published data processing agreement with technical measures and a UK addendum, AWS hosting in the United Kingdom, a named Article 27 representative in Dublin, and candidate opt-out in a single click. Backed by USD 50 million and used by more than 4,000 organisations, this is not an experiment.
The gaps are real but narrow. There is no public API and no mobile application. Prices are dollar-denominated, per user and per month, with the complete platform and the Reports add-on both quote-only. The terms of service still date from June 2023 while the privacy policy was refreshed in March 2026, and they contain a clause allowing machine learning on aggregated, de-identified data derived from your usage — the one paragraph worth reading twice before signing.
For an in-house talent team already running an ATS, especially one answering to UK or EU data requirements, Metaview is a serious contender. For a solo recruiter, a developer wanting to build on top of it, or anyone needing a mobile client, it is not the right fit yet.
