Ellipse Cloud
Ellipse Cloud is a Slovak-built cloud hotel PMS and hospitality ERP that runs rooms, restaurants, wellness and events from one admin, adding an AI receptionist and AI revenue pricing for independent hotels and resorts.
What is Ellipse Cloud?
Ellipse Cloud is a cloud hotel property management system and hospitality ERP developed in Slovakia by HORECA GROUP s.r.o., a software house based in Poprad. Its stated ambition is to replace a boxed offline program plus around ten external applications with a single online administration covering the whole property.
The catalogue is unusually wide. At the core sits a PMS with a drag-and-drop room plan, sales and occupancy dashboards, automated fast check-in with electronic signature and generated police registration forms, one-click invoicing with city tax and deposit deduction, role-based rights and a full change log. Around it are a commission-free booking engine, a two-way XML and iCal channel manager, a marketing module, service booking for massage, wellness and spa, class and event booking, an apartment concept with an owner module and rent settlements, restaurant operations with touch registers and mobile waiters, QR-code takeaway ordering, a congress module, a loyalty scheme and website production. Automation modules add PIN door locks, accounting exports, portable eKasa, online check-in, the Onboard guest app, the Roomie housekeeping app, upselling, review collection, automated mailing, online payments and an open API.
AI appears in four places rather than sitting on top. Ella, the virtual receptionist, combines OpenAI and Claude models with function calling over more than 160 API calls into Ellipse and a vector database holding the property's own FAQ. She creates, changes and cancels stays, sells services and gift vouchers, charges the room account, posts minibar items, issues an invoice with a payment link, closes the check-out and releases the room PIN under conditions. revPRO automates flexible pricing from seasons, event calendars, weekdays, occupancy, booking window, minLOS, OTA coefficients, a 14-day weather feed and AI-collected market sentiment, then delivers a deep-research analysis every Monday with costed actions per department. An announced MCP connector plugs Ellipse data into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, and a back-office assistant explains settings and workflows.
Distribution reaches 250+ sales points, 150+ global portals, GDS and Google Hotels. The publisher claims 500+ customers, 99.99% availability and 45% average sales growth, with published references including a resort of more than 600 units.

When to use Ellipse Cloud / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Ellipse Cloud is the right fit.
When to use Ellipse Cloud
- Hotels and resorts of any size, from small guesthouses on the entry tier up to properties running more than 600 accommodation units.
- Multi-activity operators who want lodging, restaurant, wellness and events managed from a single administration instead of separate tools.
- Properties trying to grow their share of direct bookings, with a 0% commission booking engine and Google Hotels distribution.
- Apartment managers and buy-to-rent concepts that need an owner module with rent settlements.
- Slovak and Czech operators who value a local hotline, certified eKasa registers and the statutory reporting expected in those markets.
When not to use Ellipse Cloud
- Buyers who need a published price list before speaking to a salesperson: no amount is shown for the system itself.
- Teams that cannot work with a website, administration interface and documentation written mainly in Slovak.
- International hotel chains looking for a global vendor, since the published references are Slovak and Czech.
- Operators who want to test the AI receptionist first: Ella is billed separately, has no free trial and requires a six-month commitment.
- Anyone expecting a native app downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, as no store listing is published.
How to use Ellipse Cloud
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Request a demo from the contact page: the publisher presents the system in a 30 to 60 minute online session, then opens access to the demo version.
- If you already know hospitality software, send a description of your property instead and ask for demo credentials directly.
- Fill in the separate quote form published on the contact page to start the pricing conversation.
- Work through the needs analysis that follows the demo, then receive a tailored quote covering only the modules you want.
- Have your data migrated from the previous system by the publisher's team.
- Train the staff online or on site, then run a supervised test operation before switching to production.
- Work from a browser only, with no installation: Chrome is recommended, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge are supported, on any operating system and on desktop, tablet or mobile.
- Turn on two-factor authentication for logins coming from an IP address outside the property.
- Ask the publisher to connect your rooms and rate categories in the channel manager, and use the video tutorials available at the foot of every screen.
- Add modules as you go: Ella can go live within one working day once its FAQ base is filled with around 300 base question-answer pairs and a script is added to your site, while the open API is configured with HTTP credentials tied to a domain and an IP address and can be tested on the demo version.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Genuinely all-in-one: lodging, restaurant, wellness, events, e-commerce and the property website live in a single administration.
- 0% commission on direct bookings, including those handled from the portals.
- AI is wired into the operational core rather than bolted on: Ella acts on the PMS through more than 160 API calls, and revPRO acts on the rates themselves.
- Explicit prompt sanitisation: apart from the first name, guest personal data is not sent into LLM prompts.
- European hosting across two German data centres with mutual backups and a 99.95% availability SLA on the partner's side.
- Weekly automatic updates applied without downtime and without extra cost, on a modular contract where only the chosen modules are billed and the tier can change at any time.
- Publicly documented open API plus an MCP connector towards ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, backed by a 24/7 Slovak hotline, remote assistance, in-app video tutorials and webinars.
Cons
- No public price for the system itself: the Lite, Standard and Pro tiers all lead to a quote form, so the budget cannot be estimated in advance.
- No permanent free plan; free access is limited to a 14-day trial, and the Ella module is billed separately, has no trial at all and carries a six-month minimum commitment.
- The publisher's website, the administration interface and the online documentation are mainly in Slovak.
- No standalone data processing agreement, no named sub-processors and no published data retention period.
- The privacy page routes data protection requests to an email address belonging to the site's hosting provider rather than to the publisher.
- PCI and PII certifications are claimed without any supporting document or certifying body, and there is no ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
- Thin verifiable public footprint: no application published on the App Store or Google Play despite announced mobile apps, one YouTube playlist as the only social link, identity details that differ between the homepage structured data and the contact page, and a firewall that blocks automated access after a few requests.
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanent free plan. Access begins with a 14-day free trial of the complete system, with demo data and online training included and no card required. Beyond the trial, no amount is published for Ellipse Cloud itself: the Lite, Standard and Pro tiers all lead to a quote request. Two commercial models are offered, either a monthly or half-yearly flat fee with no commission, or a performance model based on the direct bookings made and the online check-ins used, with minimised fixed fees. The FAQ describes a monthly subscription without lock-in, priced on the number of rooms and tables, with all updates included, no setup fee and a flexible change of tier. The only published amounts concern add-ons: a template website at 25 EUR plus 4% commission on the direct bookings it brings, a bespoke website between 1200 and 4500 EUR depending on complexity, language versions and specific development, and the Ella module at 90 EUR per month for 1 to 3 units, 190 EUR for 4 to 49 units and 290 EUR for 50 to 69 units, with an individual offer above 70 units, plus 5% of the sales Ella generates and a six-month minimum commitment. Those Ella figures come from an archived capture of the module page dated 12 February 2026 and could not be re-checked on the live page. The terms provide that any increase or decrease in prices is notified 30 days in advance, and that a subscription already running for more than 30 days keeps its price until its term.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Ellipse Cloud handles your data.
GDPR overview
GDPR is handled through a dedicated privacy page rather than a formal compliance statement. It sets out the legal bases, five categories of recipients and the full set of data subject rights, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, complaint and withdrawal of consent, and it names the Slovak supervisory authority. The terms add that the contract contains a data protection article aligned with EU GDPR rules, and that the customer must itself comply with the regulation and report any data subject complaint without delay. The publisher is established in Slovakia, so no Article 27 representative is required. Three gaps stand out: the page carries no effective date and no version number, no standalone data processing agreement is published, and no sub-processor is named. The address printed for privacy questions belongs to the site's hosting provider, not to the publisher.
Who owns the data?
The documents draw a clear line between the software and what is put into it. HORECA GROUP s.r.o. keeps exclusive ownership of the Services and of every copyright, trade secret and proprietary right they contain, and it describes itself as the controller of the information systems in which it processes personal data. The customer, in turn, is made solely responsible for the accuracy and currency of everything entered under its user account, and for meeting its own GDPR obligations towards guests. The FAQ knowledge base behind the AI receptionist is created and controlled by the property itself. No clause states explicitly that the operational data a customer enters remains that customer's property.
Reuse rights
The privacy page states that processing rests on several legal bases and, where no other basis applies, on consent alone. Recipients are described only by category: IT partners running systems, programs and servers; advertising and marketing services; legal, HR, tax, audit and accounting services; registration authorities; and public bodies such as courts, criminal authorities and bailiffs. Processing takes place in European Union and EEA countries, with transfers to third countries only where the European Commission recognises an adequate level of protection. Inside the AI receptionist, guest personal data other than the first name is not sent into LLM prompts: inputs reach the models either stripped of the data or with the sensitive parts starred out, and some answers, such as the room account balance or posted items, are read straight from Ellipse without passing through a model at all. Online payment and identity-document check-in happen outside the chatbot, in a secure external window. Customers keep their operational data usable for running their business, but nothing published states whether customer data is used to train models, and no opt-out is documented anywhere.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Ellipse Cloud states that data is physically stored in German data centres, across two separate locations that back each other up, on fast SSD storage behind RAID 10 controllers. Backups run continuously, several times a day, and the security FAQ adds an automatic backup every 24 hours to geographically separated servers. The German partner is not named, but its SLA is given as 99.95% annual availability and is passed on to the customer, while product pages claim 99.99% availability and the technical FAQ mentions 99.9%. On the legal side, the privacy page states that personal data is processed in European Union and EEA countries, with transfers to third countries only where the European Commission recognises an adequate level of protection, which keeps the arrangement inside EU jurisdiction under Slovak law. One detail should not be misread: the domain's public IP address resolves to a Cloudflare anycast node geolocated in the United States. That describes the content delivery edge in front of the website, not the place where the operational data is stored.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Ellipse Cloud.
- The real budget only becomes visible after a demo and a quote, which makes any comparison with competitors impossible up front.
- The Ella prices reported here come from an archived capture of the module page dated 12 February 2026 and could not be re-checked on the live page.
- Ella adds a six-month minimum commitment and takes 5% of the sales it generates on top of its monthly fee, and the publisher itself notes that its costs follow the usage of paid third-party AI models.
- Letting the AI receptionist answer guests and the automatic repricing set rates moves guest contact and revenue decisions away from the team; price guardrails and function-call logs exist, but somebody still has to read them.
- PCI and PII certifications are claimed with no supporting document and no certifying body named.
- No retention period is published, conversations with Ella are kept inside Ellipse as chat history, and the privacy page directs data protection requests to an address belonging to the site's hosting provider.
- The homepage structured data shows an address and tax identifiers that differ from those on the contact page, the footer copyright reads 2015-2022 on most pages and 2015-2026 on the homepage, and the terms allow prices to be revised upwards with 30 days' notice.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low for the buyer, moderate at the edges. Nothing is installed: the system runs entirely in a browser, on any operating system, and the publisher drives a seven-step implementation that includes migrating data from the previous system, training staff online or on site and a supervised test period. The channel manager can be configured by the publisher, and video tutorials sit at the foot of every screen. Ella goes live in one working day, but the real effort is writing its FAQ base. Only the open API needs a technical profile, and restaurant operations require certified eKasa hardware.

Should you pick Ellipse Cloud?
Ellipse Cloud is a mature and unusually broad hospitality platform whose AI is the least theatrical part of it. Ella works the reservation system through function calls, revPRO moves the rates, and the Monday analysis arrives as costed actions rather than a chart. For an operator running rooms, a restaurant, a spa and an events calendar at once, the single administration is the real argument, reinforced by zero commission on direct bookings, weekly updates applied without downtime and a modular contract that bills only the modules taken.
Two locks stand in the way of a quick decision. The first is pricing: nothing is published for the system itself, so the budget only appears after a demo and a quote, and the only public figures concern add-ons and websites. The second is legal documentation, which is light. There is no standalone data processing agreement, no named sub-processor, no stated retention period, and a privacy page that sends requests to an address belonging to the site's hosting provider.
The Slovak anchoring is assumed rather than hidden. Local support, certified cash registers, police registration forms and statistical reporting are strengths inside Slovakia and the Czech Republic and dead weight elsewhere, and the mainly Slovak interface and documentation will slow any team outside that area. Set against that, European hosting in two German data centres and the explicit sanitisation of LLM prompts, with no guest personal data beyond the first name reaching a model, are close to what a European buyer should be asking for.
The honest summary is this: a deep, operationally serious product for a hotel or resort willing to sit through a sales conversation to learn what it costs, and to work with a vendor whose centre of gravity is central Europe.
