Contractor+
Contractor+ is an all-in-one operating system for build and service contractors, bundling CRM, estimating, invoicing, scheduling, payments and a business phone system into one platform. Estimatic AI prices jobs and Big Chief AI answers calls.
What is Contractor+?
Contractor+ is a business management platform for build and service contractors, published by Contractor Plus, Inc. of Orlando, Florida. Its pitch is a consolidation argument rather than an AI one: the big platforms cost a fortune and are painful to learn, the popular ones are dated or weak on mobile, and because none is truly all-in-one most contractors end up running six tools at once. The answer offered is a single system covering CRM, estimating, invoicing and collections, payments, scheduling, project management, a business phone line, time and mileage tracking, job costing, a client portal and a website.
Eighteen modules are listed on the features page, two of which carry the AI. Estimatic AI builds estimates from the company's own costbook, live supplier pricing and local labour rates, and accepts photos, blueprints, drawings or a competing quote as input. The vendor claims it is 100 times faster than a human, and is explicit about the guardrails: every line, margin and markup can be edited or overridden before approval, and the tool shows its work rather than acting as a black box. Big Chief AI answers the phone. It can be routed to any IVR extension or the main line, as first answer, after-hours cover or a no-answer fallback, and it qualifies callers into the CRM and sales pipeline, books and reschedules estimate appointments against the calendar, and chases overdue invoices with a secure payment link by text.
Around these sit sub-brands named in the terms: Contractor+ Pay for payments, Contractor+ Voice for telephony, Contractor+ Books for bookkeeping and Contractor+ Local for local visibility. AI inference runs on OpenAI, and voice synthesis on ElevenLabs, both declared as subprocessors. Estimatic is capped at ten credits a month on the PRO plan and becomes unlimited from PRO TEAM.
The product runs on the web, iOS and Android, serves more than 30 trades across 40 published industry pages, and exposes a documented REST API covering contacts, properties, jobs, work orders, estimates, invoices, expenses, requests and opportunities, with 400-plus endpoints available to enterprise accounts. The vendor claims more than 50,000 contractors.

When to use Contractor+ / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Contractor+ is the right fit.
When to use Contractor+
- Solo tradespeople and one-person contracting businesses who want unlimited estimates and invoices without paying enterprise prices
- Growing crews of two to thirty people that need shared scheduling, team chat, job costing and per-seat pricing that stays affordable
- Field service companies in the 30-plus trades the vendor covers, from roofing, HVAC and plumbing to landscaping, tree care and pest control
- Contractors currently juggling five to ten separate tools who want CRM, quoting, invoicing, payments and phone in a single subscription
- Operations and back-office staff who need job-level cost tracking, QuickBooks Online syncing and an API to wire the business together
When not to use Contractor+
- Organisations handling regulated data: the terms state the platform is not intended as a HIPAA-compliant system, a PCI card data vault or a legal records repository
- Emergency dispatch and public safety operations, which the terms exclude explicitly
- European and UK businesses needing a local counterpart, since no GDPR Article 27 representative has been appointed and Florida law governs the contract
- Teams working in any language other than English, as the product ships no other interface language
- Buyers who need the option of a refund, because the vendor states that all sales are final without exception
How to use Contractor+
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create a free account on the web, or install the iOS or Android app; no credit card is required
- Start on the FREEDOM plan, which allows up to 250 leads and clients and five estimates or invoices a month
- Load your costbook and company details, since Estimatic AI prices work from your own cost data
- Describe a job to Estimatic in plain language, attaching photos, blueprints, drawings or a competitor's quote
- Let Estimatic assemble the estimate from your costbook, live supplier pricing and local labour rates
- Review the result, adjust materials, margins and markup, then approve it
- Send the estimate and let the client e-sign it without needing any other software
- Route Big Chief AI to an IVR extension or your main line and choose first answer, after-hours or no-answer fallback
- Connect QuickBooks Online, Zapier and the supplier integrations you need, available from PRO TEAM upwards
- Book a one-to-one Zoom setup session with the Customer Success team, or a demo, if you want help getting started
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Very wide functional scope for the price: CRM, estimating, invoicing, payments, scheduling, telephony and bookkeeping in a single subscription
- A genuinely usable permanent free plan, with 250 leads and clients and five documents a month, and no credit card to start
- Low entry point for the market it targets, at 29 USD per month billed annually or 49 USD month to month
- Team pricing that stays reasonable: PRO TEAM includes two users and adds further seats at 20 USD per month
- Explicit guardrails on the estimating AI, which shows its reasoning and lets every line, margin and markup be overridden
- Above-average GDPR transparency, with eleven subprocessors named by purpose and location and a DPA available on request
- Real onboarding support, including one-to-one Zoom setup sessions, a Customer Success team five days a week and in-app coachmarks
Cons
- No refunds under any circumstances, which is a heavy commitment given annual contracts are invoiced upfront in a single invoice
- A very large gap between PRO TEAM at 58 to 98 USD per month and MAX at 5,997 USD per month, with nothing in between
- Headline prices differ depending on where you look: the pricing page defaults to annual rates while its own meta description quotes the monthly ones
- The terms allow the vendor to sell and commercialise aggregated, anonymised or de-identified data, and no opt-out from AI improvement is documented
- No GDPR Article 27 representative appointed, Florida governing law and an arbitration clause with only a 30-day opt-out window
- No support email address is published and the contact page referenced by the site's own structured data returns a 404
- English only, with cost data, labour rates and supplier integrations centred on the United States, and no security certification claimed
Pricing & Plans
A permanent free plan is available. The FREEDOM tier costs 0 USD per month and requires no credit card. The lowest paid entry point is the PRO plan at 29.00 USD per month when billed annually, or 49.00 USD per month without commitment. Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Contractor+ handles your data.
GDPR overview
Implementation is concrete and unusually well documented for a company of this size. A dedicated GDPR page, updated on 9 August 2025, splits the controller and processor roles, lists the Article 6 legal bases, and routes rights requests for access, portability, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and consent withdrawal to gdpr@contractorplus.app, with a one-month response window. Eleven subprocessors are named with their purpose, data categories and location. Transfers rely on the European Commission's 2021 Standard Contractual Clauses and, for the United Kingdom, the ICO's IDTA or the UK Addendum. A signed DPA is available on request at dpa@contractorplus.app, and breaches are notified to the supervisory authority within 72 hours. One gap is stated openly: no EU or UK Article 27 representative has been appointed to date.
Who owns the data?
As between the customer and the vendor, the customer keeps ownership of its Customer Data, and is solely responsible for its accuracy, legality, backup and retention. In exchange, section 25 of the terms grants Contractor Plus, Inc., its affiliates, subprocessors, contractors and vendors a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, modify, translate, analyse, back up and disclose that data in order to run the service, process payments, power the AI, automation, analytics and transcription features, and connect the integrations the customer switches on. Under the GDPR the vendor is controller for account, billing, usage and marketing data, and processor for the customer records uploaded into the platform.
Reuse rights
Customers may reuse their own data freely: they own it, and section 30 of the terms expects them to export and back up whatever they need to keep, since the vendor disclaims liability for any loss or export failure after termination, suspension, downgrade or non-payment. The reverse direction is broader than most buyers expect. Section 26 lets Contractor Plus, Inc. create, use, sell, licence, disclose and commercialise aggregated, anonymised or de-identified data derived from use of the service, provided no customer or end customer is identifiable, for analytics, benchmarking, pricing intelligence, market research, product and AI improvement, fraud detection and industry reports. Section 39 adds that using the AI features authorises the vendor and its AI providers to process inputs, Customer Data, prompts, outputs and metadata to provide, secure, improve and develop those features. No opt-out from that use is documented.

Hosting summary
Hosting is primarily in the United States. Amazon Web Services provides cloud hosting, storage and backups for the application, database and files, mainly in the USA with regional options. Eleven subprocessors are named with their locations: Twilio for telephony in the USA and EU depending on routing, Finix Payments and Plaid in the USA, Intercom for in-app support in the EU and USA, Userback in Australia, the EU and USA, Google for analytics and workspace in the USA and EU, OpenAI for AI inference and ElevenLabs for voice synthesis in the USA, and Slack in the USA and EU. EEA transfers rely on the European Commission's 2021 Standard Contractual Clauses with supplementary measures where needed, and UK transfers on the ICO's IDTA or the UK Addendum. Security measures listed include TLS 1.2+ in transit, AES-256 at rest, role-based access control, audit logging, network isolation, key management and regular third-party testing. No hosting or security certification is claimed.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Contractor+.
- Treat AI estimates as drafts, not answers. The vendor warns that outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, outdated or non-compliant, that similar or identical outputs may be generated for other users, and that you alone are responsible for reviewing and approving them.
- Do not let the estimating AI erode your own pricing judgement. If nobody on the team can still price a job by hand, a bad costbook or a stale labour rate will quietly propagate into every quote you send.
- AI outputs must never be relied on as legal, tax, accounting, insurance, engineering, code compliance or permit advice, which the terms exclude explicitly, yet an estimate that looks authoritative invites exactly that shortcut.
- Read section 26 before committing: the vendor may sell, licence and commercialise aggregated, anonymised or de-identified data derived from your usage, and no opt-out from AI improvement is documented anywhere on the site.
- Handing your phone line to an AI agent changes what your customers experience. Call recording and transcription also carry consent obligations that vary by jurisdiction and remain your responsibility.
- The no-refund policy leaves no recovery from a bad decision, so use the free plan and the 14-day feature trials rather than committing to an annual contract invoiced upfront.
- Export your data regularly. The terms make you responsible for backups and disclaim liability for loss or inaccessibility after termination, suspension, downgrade or non-payment.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low for everyday use. A free account opens without a credit card and works immediately on the web or through the mobile apps, and the vendor promises no learning curve. Expect real configuration work on the data side, since Estimatic prices from your own costbook, and on telephony if you deploy Big Chief AI, which needs IVR routing, a mode and a voice. Only the API and Zapier work, available from PRO TEAM, requires technical skill. Video tutorials, in-app coachmarks and one-to-one Zoom setup sessions are provided.

Should you pick Contractor+?
Contractor+ is best understood as a consolidation play rather than an AI product. The AI is real and specific — Estimatic prices jobs from your own costbook, live supplier pricing and local labour rates, and Big Chief answers, qualifies and books calls — but it sits inside a broader trade ERP covering CRM, quoting, invoicing, payments, scheduling, telephony and job costing. For a contractor currently paying for five to ten separate tools, that breadth at 29 USD per month is an unusual proposition, and the permanent free plan is substantial enough to test the product properly before spending anything.
The reservations are equally concrete and mostly contractual. All sales are final, with no refunds in any circumstances, which sits awkwardly beside annual contracts invoiced upfront. The jump from PRO TEAM to the 5,997 USD MAX tier leaves nothing in between. The terms permit the vendor to sell aggregated and de-identified data derived from your usage, and no opt-out from AI improvement is documented. No EU or UK Article 27 representative has been appointed, the governing law is Florida, and no security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is claimed. Practical details also grate: no published support email, and a contact page that returns a 404 despite being referenced by the site's own structured data.
The publisher is young and self-funded, with 700,000 USD raised from angels and Regulation Crowdfunding and a larger round in progress. The tool is most defensible for a United States build or field service business, from sole trader to roughly thirty staff, that works in English and wants to collapse a stack of tools into one. European buyers and anyone handling regulated data should look carefully at the terms first.
