Overview

What is Skywork?

Skywork is a cloud-native AI workspace published by SKYWORK AI PTE. LTD., a Singapore company, and marketed as the originator of AI workspace agents. Rather than a single chat window, it exposes nine agent surfaces — General, Slides, Documents, Sheets, Images, Videos, Websites, Posters and Chat — each tuned to one kind of deliverable. A prompt describing what you want produces the artefact itself: a seventeen-to-twenty-page deck, a twenty-thousand-word research paper, a spreadsheet with its analysis, a landing page, an illustration or a multi-track video.

Around those agents sits a Skill framework. Official skills cover content generation, analysis, research, learning and marketing; users can author their own and reuse cross-tool templates, which turns a one-off prompt into a repeatable workflow. The Skill Hub collects them.

Three further components extend the workspace beyond document production. SkyClaw runs autonomous cloud agents on long, multi-step tasks around the clock, with no deployment on the user's side and up to ten parallel tasks on the top tier. Skywork Browser takes over web pages to research and act directly, while leaving login steps under the user's control and keeping session data encrypted and isolated. VoiceNote records meetings and interviews, transcribes them in real time and returns structured summaries, accepting photographs, notes and sketches alongside the audio.

Skywork does not rely on a single model. It routes work to frontier third-party systems — GPT-5.4, Claude Opus 4.6 and Gemini 3.0 Pro — and adds its own R1V4 for image understanding. A separate Business Space targets creators, solopreneurs and small businesses, assembling a sellable page, a checkout or booking flow, customer records and a marketing calendar; the vendor states plainly that it is neither a full enterprise system nor a universal app builder.

Usage is metered in credits rather than seats, with published illustrations of roughly one dollar for a long research paper and about two and a half dollars for a deep-mode deck. The workspace runs on the web, on iOS and Android, on a desktop application, and through bots on Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp and Feishu.

What it does

  • Generate presentation decks from a single prompt, in deep-research or fast mode
  • Write long-form documents and research papers with cited sources
  • Turn raw data into structured spreadsheets and analytical reports
  • Build full-stack websites and landing pages from natural language
  • Create and edit images, then orchestrate multi-track video production
  • Run long, autonomous tasks with SkyClaw cloud agents
  • Record meetings and notes, and return structured summaries

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Skywork handles your data.

GDPR overview

There is no GDPR implementation to report. The privacy policy, effective 13 October 2025, never mentions the General Data Protection Regulation, designates no representative under Article 27 and names no Data Protection Officer. Its only jurisdiction-specific chapter is a detailed notice for California residents covering the CCPA, the Shine the Light law, Do Not Sell and Do Not Track. Data-subject rights are offered generically under applicable laws: access, correction, deletion, complaint, withdrawal of consent, portability, restriction and objection to processing based on legitimate interests, with identity verification before a request is answered. Governing law is Singaporean and disputes go to SIAC arbitration seated in Singapore. Every other GDPR mention on the site belongs to marketing copy for compliance-writing templates, not to any claim by the vendor.

Who owns the data?

Skywork's Terms of Service separate two layers. Everything the platform supplies — text, graphics, photographs, software and interactive features, collectively the Service Content — belongs to Skywork or its third-party licensors, together with all design rights, databases and compilation rights, and Skywork trademarks remain Skywork's. User Content is expressly carved out of that ownership and stays with the user. What the user receives is a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable worldwide licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. The privacy policy adds that prompts, uploaded files, images and audio are processed to deliver and secure the service, and that shared user-generated content may be collected with its timestamps and related metadata.

Reuse rights

The licence Skywork grants is personal and non-commercial, so what the platform itself supplies cannot simply be reused at will. User Content is not claimed by the vendor and remains the user's own, which leaves reuse of generated work governed by the user's own rights rather than by any licence back to Skywork. One caveat matters: the privacy policy reserves the right to use user-generated content published on the platform in Skywork's own advertising and marketing campaigns, so anything posted or shared publicly may reappear in promotional material. Input data is processed to run, analyse and secure the service, and is explicitly excluded from model training. It may nonetheless be shared with cloud, payment, analytics and advertising partners, with other members of the corporate group, and with authorities where the law requires it.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Skywork publishes no fixed retention period. Personal data is kept for as long as the company considers it necessary for proper business needs, which it illustrates with service delivery and legal, tax and accounting obligations. Once that need ends, or once a statutory period expires, the data is deleted or anonymised. If the service or the company's operations are discontinued, users are notified at least thirty days in advance and data is deleted or anonymised afterwards. Personal data collected from users under thirteen in the United States is deleted and the account terminated as soon as the company becomes aware of it. Separately, purchased credits remain valid for thirty days and daily free credits expire at midnight the following day. Users may request deletion at any time through the published contact address.

Hosting summary

Skywork states that it deploys local servers in the United States, and that is the only hosting location it names; no European or Asian region is offered. Personal data may additionally be transferred to and processed in the several jurisdictions where affiliated entities are based, with the vendor undertaking to apply appropriate safeguards in transit and to require an adequate level of protection from recipients. No specific transfer mechanism is identified, and no subprocessor list is published, only categories of recipient: cloud, payment, analytics and advertising providers. On protection the description is concrete: encryption at rest for all user data including database files and backups, security keys for data management, TLS 1.2 for traffic between devices and servers and between servers, code review to verify implementation, periodic vulnerability testing, and access control through access tokens and multi-factor authentication. Independently, the site's own web server resolves to an address geolocated in the United States. Buyers with a residency requirement outside the United States should treat this as a blocking point.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Skywork.

  • Delegating research and writing wholesale erodes the very skills you would otherwise keep sharp; treat the output as a draft to interrogate, not a finished answer
  • Deep-research output arrives fluent and neatly formatted, which makes thin sourcing easy to miss, so check the citations before circulating a report
  • The Terms grant a personal, non-commercial licence, so commercial use of what you produce deserves a careful read before the work reaches a client
  • Browser takeover holds session cookies for connected accounts; encryption is described, but the blast radius of a compromise is wide
  • The privacy policy permits sharing identifiers with advertisers and measurement partners, and acknowledges this may count as a sale under Californian law
  • Credit metering rewards fast regeneration over careful prompting, and daily free credits expire overnight, which quietly encourages habitual use
  • The Terms of Service still link their own privacy policy through a local file path left on the drafting machine, a sign that the legal pages are not closely maintained
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Very low. The workspace runs in a browser with no installation: an account is created with an email address or through a Google or Apple sign-in, and the first deliverable can be generated immediately. Optional connectors such as Gmail, Google Drive, Outlook Calendar, OneDrive, Dropbox and Notion require only an OAuth authorisation. Chat bots on Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp or Feishu need either a one-click authorisation or a bot token, followed by a single message to activate. Autonomous SkyClaw agents need no deployment at all, and the mobile and desktop applications are ordinary downloads.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who publishes Skywork?
SKYWORK AI PTE. LTD., a Singapore company registered at 2 Science Park Drive, #01-08, Ascent, Singapore 118222. The service is operated from Singapore, and both legal documents are governed by Singapore law with disputes referred to SIAC arbitration.
Is there a free version?
Yes. A permanent free plan grants 120 credits per day, and a seven-day free trial raises that allowance to 800 credits per day. Daily free credits expire at midnight the following day.
What does a paid plan cost?
The cheapest recurring web subscription is 16.99 USD per month, discounted to 14.99 USD for the first month. Quarterly billing is 39.99 USD and annual billing 149.99 USD. Prices charged through the mobile stores differ.
Does Skywork train its models on my data?
No. The privacy policy states that personal data, including uploaded sources, queries and other input data, is not used for model training, and repeats that commitment for data reached through connected third-party accounts.
Where is my data stored?
On servers located in the United States. Data may also be transferred to other jurisdictions where affiliated entities operate. No European hosting region is offered.
Which AI models does it run?
Skywork routes tasks to GPT-5.4, Claude Opus 4.6 and Gemini 3.0 Pro, and uses its own R1V4 model for image understanding. The top tier lets you choose the model rather than accept automatic assignment.
Is there a mobile application?
Yes, on both iOS and Android, alongside a desktop application and the web workspace. Both mobile applications were released in July 2025.
Does Skywork offer an API?
Yes. The product includes an organisation-level API key manager that refers to API documentation, and an MCP endpoint exists. No publicly reachable documentation page was found, however.
Which tools can Skywork connect to?
Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, Outlook Calendar, Dropbox and Notion, plus chat bots on Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp and Feishu.
What is the minimum age?
Thirteen for users in the United States, rising to eighteen for paid services. Elsewhere, parental or guardian consent is obtained where local law requires it.
Conclusion

Should you pick Skywork?

Skywork sets out to be the whole office rather than one more assistant, and the breadth is real: nine agent surfaces, a skill framework, autonomous cloud agents, browser takeover and meeting transcription, all metered in credits rather than seats. For an individual, a creator or a small team, that breadth is the argument. Moving from a research question to a sourced paper, a deck and a landing page without changing tool, and without paying three subscriptions to reach frontier models from three different vendors, is a genuine saving.

The privacy posture is better than the category average on the point that matters most to many users: the publisher commits, without conditions or tiers, not to train its models on customer input, and repeats that commitment for data pulled from connected Google and Microsoft accounts. Security practice is described concretely, with encryption at rest, TLS in transit, multi-factor authentication and periodic testing.

The gaps are administrative rather than technical, and they fall in one place. There is no data processing agreement, no subprocessor list, no mention of the GDPR anywhere in a privacy policy whose only regional chapter addresses California, and no European hosting region. An EU buyer working through a procurement checklist will stall on all four. The same policy permits identifiers to be shared with advertisers, which sits awkwardly beside the strong training commitment.

The second friction is commercial opacity. The pricing page does not render without JavaScript, plan names repeat at different prices across the web and the two app stores, and support runs through a single general mailbox. None of this is disqualifying, but it means the real cost is discovered after signing up rather than before.
