Taloo
Taloo is a Belgian digital co-worker for staffing agencies, recruitment firms and internal hiring teams. It takes over admin, preparation and follow-up inside Microsoft Teams or Slack, keeps existing systems in sync and answers candidates around the clock.
What is Taloo?
Taloo is presented not as one more piece of recruitment software but as a digital colleague for staffing and recruitment teams. It is published by Taloo NV, a Belgian company with its registered office in Hasselt and its headquarters displayed at the Wintercircus Collective in Ghent. Instead of asking recruiters to open another dashboard, Taloo works conversationally inside Microsoft Teams, Slack or its own workspace, and answers in text, visuals or statistics depending on what is asked of it.
The homepage organises the product around four families of action, Communicate, Automate, Assist and Follow up, with sixteen named use cases underneath them. On the communication side, a conversational job board lets candidates describe what they are looking for in natural language, pre-screening and interview scheduling run without email exchanges, a support desk covers candidates and temporary workers around the clock, and onboarding documents are collected and chased. On the automation side, references and background checks are gathered and summarised, last-minute absences trigger a client warning and a search for a replacement, payroll timesheets are checked for inconsistencies, and the talent pool is enriched and reactivated. Assistance covers structured client intake summaries, interview preparation, real-time help during calls and automatic AI notes, while follow-up covers bottleneck detection, smart reminders on deadlines, drafted replies and a next best action when a role is at risk.
Four cross-cutting pillars sit above all of this: a collective brain that keeps context inside the organisation rather than in people's heads, a private GPT surfacing the right element at the right moment, automatic profile enrichment from several sources, and insights on bottlenecks, conversion rates and team performance without building a dashboard.
Taloo plugs into the systems already in place and updates the ATS automatically rather than replacing it, and its architecture is described as open: customers may use Taloo's agents or connect their own. Three segments are addressed explicitly, namely staffing agencies, recruitment firms and internal hiring teams. The vendor insists that people keep control, since Taloo proposes actions and plans while the user validates and decides what runs. Implementation is announced at six to eight weeks from intake, client environments are said to be fully separated, and the site claims GDPR and EU AI Act compliance under the tagline Made for humans.
What it does
- Answer candidates and temporary workers 24/7 over WhatsApp, phone or chat
- Run a conversational job board where candidates describe their search in plain language
- Pre-screen applicants and schedule interviews without email ping-pong
- Chase missing onboarding documents and follow up until signature
- Handle last-minute absences: warn the client, find a replacement, update the planning
- Supervise payroll timesheets, flag inconsistencies and chase missing approvals
- Detect bottlenecks, draft ready-to-send replies and suggest the next best action
When to use Taloo / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Taloo is the right fit.
When to use Taloo
- Staffing and temp agencies running high placement volumes end to end, from candidate intake to contract and payroll
- Recruitment firms that want to standardise their process and free up time for client relationships
- Internal hiring teams looking to cut the low-value admin sitting between recruiters and hiring managers
- Organisations that want to keep their existing ATS and add automation alongside it rather than replace it
- Teams already living in Microsoft Teams or Slack, who would rather not learn yet another interface
When not to use Taloo
- Companies looking to replace their ATS, HRIS or payroll system, since Taloo is designed to work next to them and not instead of them
- Buyers who need self-service purchasing: there is no public price, no free plan and no free trial, only a booked demo
- Teams with an immediate need, as the vendor announces six to eight weeks from intake to implementation
- Recruiters expecting fully automated screening decisions, because Taloo proposes and a human always validates
- Developers and mobile-first users, given that no public API documentation and no iOS or Android app exist
How to use Taloo
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Start from the Book a demo form on the contact page: there is no self-service sign-up
- State your profile, from HR manager, recruiter, staffing agency or business owner, and how you heard about Taloo
- Use the demo to see the use cases that matter for your sector and how Taloo would sit in your tools and process
- Scope the connection to your existing front, mid and back-office systems, including your ATS, with the vendor
- Pick a narrow starting point built on the use cases with the fastest return, then expand from there
- Allow six to eight weeks between intake and implementation
- Keep your ATS, HRIS and payroll system in place, as Taloo is meant to work alongside them
- Talk to Taloo in Teams or Slack the way you would address a colleague, for instance asking who is still waiting for feedback from a client
- Review what Taloo proposes, then validate or adjust it before anything is executed
- Optionally connect your own agents to the open architecture
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Broad functional coverage across the whole staffing chain, from sourcing and screening to onboarding, absences and payroll
- Nothing new to learn, since the product is used from Microsoft Teams and Slack
- Coexists with the existing ATS and HRIS instead of replacing them, and updates them automatically
- Round-the-clock candidate availability on mainstream channels: WhatsApp, phone and chat
- Per-client environment separation, with no model training on customer data without explicit approval
- EU-based publisher with an appointed DPO and claimed GDPR and EU AI Act compliance
- Human in the loop by design: no automated decisions, and the user validates before anything runs
Cons
- No public pricing whatsoever, with no amount, tier or grid published and a demo as the only route
- Neither a free trial nor a free plan is announced
- Six to eight weeks from intake to implementation, so nothing can be used immediately
- A very thin site of three real pages, with no terms of service, no legal notice, no robots.txt and no sitemap
- No public API documentation and no mobile app on either store
- No named integrations beyond Teams, Slack and WhatsApp, the FAQ claiming all common front, mid and back-office systems without naming one
- No published DPA, no sub-processor list, no hosting country, no certification, and no named customer or traction figure
Pricing & Plans
No price is published. The site carries no pricing page, no amount, no currency and no tier, and the route table of its Next.js bundle contains no pricing path. Neither a free plan nor a free trial is announced. The only commercial route offered is the Book a demo form on the contact page, which is consistent with the six to eight weeks announced between intake and implementation: Taloo is sold through a contact-sales process, and any quotation is established case by case.
Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Taloo handles your data.
GDPR overview
Taloo makes explicit GDPR claims. The privacy policy states that personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and applicable Belgian data protection law, and lists the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. Requests go to hello@taloo.be and deletion to privacy@taloo.be, handled within 30 days of a verified request; a data protection officer is appointed at dpo@taloo.eu and the Belgian Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit is named as the supervisory authority. The FAQ adds compliance with the EU AI Act, no automated decisions, full transparency and no bias by design, and both badges appear on the homepage. No Article 27 representative is required, the publisher being established in Belgium. Missing, however: no published DPA, no sub-processor list and no external certification supporting these claims.
Who owns the data?
Taloo NV, established in Belgium, is the data controller, and its privacy policy of 27 January 2025 routes data protection questions to a designated officer at dpo@taloo.eu. The company states that your processes, business logic and data are yours and stay yours: client environments are described as fully separated, with nothing flowing between them, an arrangement the FAQ compares to a CMS where the vendor supplies the engine and the customer owns the content. Taloo says it neither sells nor rents personal data to third parties, and shares information with recruitment partners only where an application requires it. No terms of service are published, so none of these commitments can be checked contractually.
Reuse rights
The site publishes no terms of service, so the privacy policy of 27 January 2025 is the only document available and it addresses website and candidate data rather than reuse rights. It lists the purposes pursued: handling demo requests, communication and support, the newsletter subject to consent, analytics and legal compliance, resting on consent, legitimate interest, performance of the contract and legal obligation. The data covered runs from contact details, company information, demo requests and newsletter preferences to automatically collected browser, operating system, IP address and approximate location, pages viewed, referrer and cookies. Google Analytics runs on the website, with opt-out through Google's browser extension. On WhatsApp, Taloo says it only messages people who have applied for a job or opted in, for status updates, pre-screening questions and interview scheduling. On the customer side the FAQ is explicit that data is never used to train models unless the client approves it, and section 14 allows some service providers outside the EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Nothing on the site sets out what an end user may reuse, republish or export without asking.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Taloo publishes no hosting information at all. No country, no region and no data centre is named anywhere on the site, and no hosting certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is displayed. What is established is the jurisdiction of the controller: Taloo NV is established in Belgium and therefore operates under Belgian and EU data protection law. Section 14 of the privacy policy states that some service providers may be located outside the European Economic Area and that such transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, which is a transfer safeguard and not a statement about where data physically sits. No sub-processor list is published, and the only named provider is Google Analytics, used on the website itself. As a technical detail from our own collection rather than a vendor claim, the domain resolves to an Amazon AS16509 anycast node, an infrastructure clue the publisher never asserts. Anyone with hosting-location requirements should have them confirmed in writing during the demo.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Taloo.
- No public price, so budgeting is impossible without first going through a demo
- A six-to-eight-week project commitment before anything reaches production
- No terms of service and no legal notice are published: the privacy policy is the only visible document
- That privacy policy is dated 27 January 2025, five months before the company was incorporated on 25 June 2025, so it was likely inherited or drafted ahead and deserves a question
- The site contradicts itself on identity: Ghent as headquarters on the contact page against Hasselt in the privacy policy and the Belgian register, and hello@taloo.eu in the footer against hello@taloo.be and privacy@taloo.be in the policy
- Retention is never quantified, data being kept as long as necessary, while non-EEA transfers are allowed under Standard Contractual Clauses with no sub-processor list, no DPA and no stated hosting country
- Integrations are not named and EU AI Act compliance is claimed without a published assessment, so both should be tested during the demo
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
There is no self-service setup: every deployment starts with a demo and continues as a project, announced at six to eight weeks from intake to implementation. For end users the effort is minimal, the vendor claiming a zero learning curve because the interface is Microsoft Teams or Slack. The technical work lies in connecting the existing front, mid and back-office systems, the ATS included, which has to be scoped with the vendor. Customers can also plug in their own agents thanks to the open architecture. The recommended approach is to start on a narrow scope and expand.

Should you pick Taloo?
Taloo is a young product with an unusually well framed proposition. Taloo NV was incorporated on 25 June 2025 and published in the Belgian State Gazette five days later, so the company is barely a year old at the time of this review. What it promises is precise: absorb the administrative weight of staffing, from candidate communication and screening to onboarding documents, absences, timesheets and follow-up, without asking anyone to replace their ATS, HRIS or payroll system, and without asking recruiters to learn a new interface, since everything happens in Microsoft Teams or Slack.
The regulatory posture is careful for a European vendor: a Belgian controller, an appointed data protection officer, claimed GDPR and EU AI Act compliance, environment separation per client, and no model training on customer data without explicit approval. Human validation before execution is stated repeatedly rather than implied.
What is missing is proof and price. No customer is named, no case study, no traction figure and no certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001. Pricing is entirely opaque, with no page, no amount, no tier, no free plan and no free trial. The site itself is minimal, three real pages with no terms of service and no legal notice, and the integration claim covers all common front, mid and back-office systems without naming a single ATS.
That combination points to a specific reader. Taloo suits a staffing agency or recruitment firm willing to run a six-to-eight-week project, to discuss scope and price in a demo, and to verify integration coverage before signing. Anyone hoping to buy quickly, compare a published price or test the product alone will find nothing here to work with.
