Mexty
Mexty is an AI-native learning platform that pairs no-code authoring with a built-in LMS. Describe a lesson in plain language, generate editable interactive activities, then deliver, assess and track learners, or export SCORM packages elsewhere.
What is Mexty?
Mexty is an AI-native platform for creating, delivering and tracking interactive learning experiences. Its stated ambition is to move teams from content generation to learning infrastructure: rather than producing a file that then has to be pushed somewhere else, it combines authoring, delivery, assessment, analytics and governance in one connected workflow. Asked whether it is an authoring tool or an LMS, the vendor answers: both.
The entry point is a chat. You describe what you want — create a cybersecurity simulation, build a branching onboarding scenario, generate an adaptive math activity — and the platform produces a working, fully editable result. Mexty calls this vibe-coding for learning, and claims a no-code experience with virtually zero learning curve. Everything generated stays open to revision: text, visuals, interactions, scenarios, feedback, layouts, navigation and assessments, with a code editor and version history for those who want them.
Supported formats span microlearning, interactive courses, quizzes and assessments, simulations, branching scenarios, mini-games and gamified activities, conversational experiences, adaptive pathways and full certification programmes. Media can be generated by AI or imported from existing documents, training materials and brand assets.
To keep output reliable, Mexty applies a Source of Truth framework: generation can be constrained to validated sources such as internal documentation, official programmes, knowledge bases, policies and academic references. A multi-LLM architecture routes each task to the best-suited model instead of depending on a single one.
On the delivery side, the LMS handles learning paths, knowledge bases, member messaging, users, roles and groups, analytics, and usage and billing. AI agents can be configured with OAuth connectors — Google Calendar, Gmail, Drive, Linear — and scheduled tasks, while the Mexty MCP lets the whole platform be driven from Claude or ChatGPT. Content that needs to live elsewhere exports as SCORM 1.2/2004 or HTML, and finished modules can be sold on the Mexty Marketplace.
The publisher is Mext SAS, a French company based in Chevreuse, with teams in France and Thailand. Compliance claims include GDPR alignment and EU AI Act readiness; ISO 27001 and SOC 2 are declared as processes under way, not as certifications held.
What it does
- Generate complete courses, interactive activities, quizzes and assessments from a plain-language prompt
- Vibe-code an interactive activity by describing it, and get a fully editable no-code result
- Ground AI generation in validated knowledge bases (Source of Truth) to limit hallucinations
- Deliver and assign learning through the built-in LMS, with users, roles and groups
- Track progress, scores, completion and engagement with native analytics
- Export to SCORM 1.2/2004 or HTML for Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, TalentLMS, Docebo or Cornerstone
- Automate with AI agents, OAuth connectors and scheduled tasks, or drive the platform from Claude or ChatGPT
When to use Mexty / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Mexty is the right fit.
When to use Mexty
- Instructional designers and e-learning developers who need interactive modules faster than a traditional authoring suite allows
- Corporate L&D and HR teams building onboarding, compliance, product and customer training with tracked completion
- Schools, universities and individual teachers turning lesson ideas into interactive activities without design or coding skills
- Training providers and freelance learning designers who want to package, publish and sell courses on a marketplace
- Organisations that need AI generation grounded in their own validated documentation rather than open-ended output
When not to use Mexty
- Employers wanting to automate hiring, promotion, discipline or admission decisions — the terms forbid using Mexty as the sole basis for them
- Institutions looking for AI proctoring, automated cheating detection or webcam and behavioural monitoring, all explicitly prohibited
- Buyers who require a delivered ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certificate today, since both processes are only under way
- Developer teams expecting a documented public REST API: the docs are product guides, and the MCP server has no public reference
- Anyone needing a native iOS or Android app, or guaranteed data residency in a named country
How to use Mexty
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account from the homepage or sign in with Google; ten free credits are granted on sign-up, with no card required
- Open Mexty Chat, the AI creation hub and home screen
- Describe what you want in a prompt, stating topic, training type, objectives, structure, desired interactivity and certification needs
- Optionally connect a knowledge base as a Source of Truth so generation stays grounded in your validated content
- Review the generated activity or course, then refine it: edit text and styles with the pencil icon, or open the code editor
- Manage the project from Edit block metadata for naming, and from My Library to duplicate or delete it
- Set visibility under Export & Share options, choosing public or private
- Deliver through the built-in LMS: enrol learners by email or unique link, assign roles and groups, and follow progress and results
- Or export a SCORM 1.2/2004 package for your own LMS, or HTML to embed on a site or share by link
- Extend further: configure AI agents, authorise connectors action by action, schedule tasks, or publish and sell the module on the Marketplace
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Authoring and LMS in a single product, so creation, delivery, assessment and analytics do not break across tools
- Genuinely low barrier to entry: no-code generation from a prompt, with output that remains fully editable down to the code
- Source of Truth grounding and a multi-LLM architecture, which address hallucination and single-model dependency directly
- SCORM 1.2/2004 and HTML export prevent lock-in, since content can run in an existing LMS
- Low price for the category: a permanent free plan, then EUR 9 per month, with seat tiers published up to 10,000 seats
- European publisher with a French registered office, GDPR compliance stated, EU AI Act readiness and a named sub-processor list
- Clear commitment that prompts and generated content are not used to train AI models
Cons
- ISO 27001 and SOC 2 appear as homepage badges but are only certification processes under way, not certificates held
- European hosting is presented as an option rather than a default, and no hosting country is ever named
- Sources disagree on infrastructure: the legal notice names OVHcloud, while the privacy policy lists Railway and AWS S3
- No public developer API reference; the Mexty MCP is sold from the Creator plan but left undocumented publicly
- No native iOS or Android app, and full code export is not yet available
- Credit-based pricing makes the real cost depend on usage, with extra credits billed at EUR 0.16 or EUR 0.14 each
- A young product: the domain was registered in June 2025 and first archived in August 2025

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Mexty handles your data.
GDPR overview
GDPR compliance is stated explicitly: the FAQ answers yes, and the legal notice confirms that Mext SAS applies Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and French data protection law. The privacy policy (Mexty_DP03_2607, effective 1 July 2026) separates the roles of controller and processor, names a data protection officer reachable at dpo@mexty.ai or dpo@mext.app, and lists the full set of rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent and protection against solely automated decisions. The supervisory authority is the CNIL. Sub-processors are published by name, a Data Processing Agreement is available on request and a generic DPA is built into the terms. Transfers outside the EEA rely on adequacy decisions, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. No Article 27 representative is needed, the company being established in France.
Who owns the data?
Under the terms and conditions (version Mexty_TCU02_2607, effective 15 July 2026), the customer retains ownership of Customer Content — the files, prompts, documents, media and course materials placed on the platform — while Mext SAS retains ownership of the platform, software, templates and underlying technology. The published FAQ states plainly that the user owns the projects and the generated code and content. In return, the customer grants Mext SAS and its subcontractors a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce, display, adapt and transmit that content, strictly as needed to provide, secure, support and operate the service. Mext SAS states that it never sells customer data.
Reuse rights
Yes. Courses, activities, assessments and generated code belong to the customer, who may edit, duplicate, publish, share, export or sell them without asking Mext SAS for permission. Projects are private by default and become visible only when the owner chooses to share them. Content can leave the platform freely as a SCORM 1.2/2004 package or as HTML, and it can be listed for sale on the Mexty Marketplace with prices and licences set by the author. The licence granted back to Mext SAS is limited to operating the service, not to commercial exploitation. Two limits apply: the customer is responsible for holding the rights to whatever it uploads, and for checking the accuracy, legality and pedagogical suitability of AI-generated output before it reaches learners. Where AI-generated media could pass as authentic, the customer must disclose it.

Hosting summary
No hosting country is named anywhere on the site, which is the main caveat. The privacy policy (effective 1 July 2026) lists Railway for application hosting, runtime and the application database, and Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) for learning assets, media and uploaded files. The legal notice separately names OVHcloud as the website host, so the two first-party sources do not fully agree. European hosting is presented as an option rather than a default. Other named recipients include Google Workspace, Stripe, Google Analytics, Odoo and AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, Mistral and ElevenLabs. Some providers may process data outside the EEA, in which case Mext SAS relies on adequacy decisions, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses and transfer risk assessments. Because the affiliated development subcontractor Mexty AI Co. Ltd is based in Thailand, authorised access from Thailand may occur for support, maintenance, testing and security, under confidentiality, role-based access control and ISMS requirements. Data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS/TLS, with provider-managed encryption at rest where available.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Mexty.
- The terms forbid using Mexty as the sole basis for recruitment, promotion, discipline, admission or legally significant certification decisions — check any assessment rollout against that list
- AI proctoring, automated cheating detection and webcam, audio or behavioural monitoring for evaluation are explicitly prohibited uses
- Trusting first-draft output: the customer is contractually responsible for checking the accuracy, legality and pedagogical suitability of generated content before it reaches learners
- Realistic AI-generated media must be disclosed to learners; skipping that disclosure shifts a reputational and legal risk onto the customer
- Speed can erode craft — generating a course in minutes invites teams to skip the instructional design thinking that makes learning stick
- The no-training commitment is qualified as subject to AI provider terms, service configuration and technical limitations, so it is not an absolute guarantee
- No minimum age is published: responsibility for minors, parental consent and safeguards is passed to the customer organisation
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low for a single creator. There is nothing to install: you sign up on the web, or log in with Google, and ten free credits let you produce something immediately. The vendor claims no design or coding skills are needed. Effort appears further along — configuring roles, groups and seats for a team, connecting knowledge bases, authorising OAuth connectors action by action, and uploading SCORM exports into a third-party LMS. Enterprise deployment is a different matter: on-premise or private cloud hosting and SSO are integration projects rather than self-service. Fourteen product guides and video walkthroughs support onboarding.

Should you pick Mexty?
Mexty is a coherent answer to a real frustration: content generated by AI usually lands outside the system that has to deliver it. By putting authoring, delivery, assessment and analytics behind one chat interface, and by keeping SCORM and HTML export open, it removes that break without locking customers in. The Source of Truth grounding and the multi-LLM routing are not marketing garnish either; they answer the two objections most often raised against AI course generators, namely hallucination and dependence on a single model.
The pricing is unusually low for the category. A permanent free plan, then EUR 9 per month, puts serious authoring within reach of an individual teacher or a freelance designer, while published seat tiers up to 10,000 seats make the path to an organisational rollout legible. For European buyers, a French publisher, a named sub-processor list, a DPA on request and an explicit AI Act statement in the terms are substantive advantages.
The reservations are equally concrete. ISO 27001 and SOC 2 are processes under way, not certificates held, and the homepage badges deserve to be read carefully. European hosting is an option rather than a guarantee, no hosting country is named, and the legal notice and privacy policy do not describe the same infrastructure. The Mexty MCP is sold but not publicly documented, there is no mobile app, and the credit model means the real bill depends on usage. The product is also young, its domain dating from June 2025.
For teams that want interactive learning built and delivered quickly under European governance, Mexty is worth a trial — the free plan costs nothing to test. For a regulated buyer who needs certificates and documented data residency today, it is a candidate to revisit once those processes conclude.
