Overview

What is Rendora?

Rendora is a browser-based platform that turns a written script into a finished video fronted by a photorealistic 3D avatar. Published by Rendora LLC, a Delaware company, it presents itself as the world's first 3D AI avatar video platform. You supply the words — typed straight in, pulled from a PowerPoint or PDF deck, taken from a gallery template, or drafted by the built-in AI writing assistant — and the engine produces everything else: voice, lip sync, facial expression, gestures, body movement, lighting and camera work.

The avatar library is the centrepiece. The homepage claims more than 3,000 avatars across different ethnicities, ages and styles, each editable down to hairstyle, outfit, makeup, accessories and individual facial features through slider controls. Enterprise accounts can generate an avatar from a photograph, and a dedicated team will build a bespoke presenter, hairstyle, wardrobe or voice on request. Avatars drop into a library of 3D studios — offices, broadcast sets, classrooms, outdoor streets — swapped with a single click.

What separates Rendora from a talking-head generator is that nothing is locked after generation. Script, slides, avatar, studio, preset gestures placed on a timeline, facial emotions, camera framing from wide shot to close-up, plus subtitles, music, stickers and text templates in the post-production layer all stay editable. Change a line and the video refreshes in seconds instead of being reshot.

Voice coverage is advertised at 100+ languages on the homepage, and at 30+ languages with 400+ voice styles on the product page. Export resolution follows the plan: 540p on the free tier, 1080p on Starter and Team, up to 4K on Enterprise. Video length runs from three minutes free to ten minutes on paid tiers and unlimited under an enterprise contract. Usage is metered in credits standing for GPU rendering time.

Beyond pre-rendered video, Rendora advertises real-time interactive avatars that listen and answer, deployable on websites, mobile apps and large displays, plus API and SDK integration arranged through its sales team. The platform runs in Chrome and Edge only, with no mobile app. A SOC 2 Type I report was obtained as of 31 March 2025.

When to use Rendora / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Rendora is the right fit.

When to use Rendora

  • Learning and development teams producing onboarding, compliance and product-training modules at volume
  • Marketing teams shipping product launches, explainers and social campaigns without a production crew
  • Customer support and knowledge-base owners converting help articles into branded video walkthroughs
  • Sales enablement managers turning product expertise into consistent, repeatable pitch videos
  • Communications teams localising one message into several languages without re-recording anything

When not to use Rendora

  • Anyone who needs live-action footage: real actors, real locations and real events are outside what the engine produces
  • Free-plan users hoping to publish commercially, since the trial tier explicitly forbids commercial use
  • High-volume creators on the free tier, capped at 300 credits a month, three-minute videos and three exports
  • Teams standardised on Safari or Firefox, as the platform officially supports only Chrome and Edge
  • Buyers who need a signed DPA, a named EU representative or an opt-out from model training before they can adopt a vendor

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Rendora handles your data.

GDPR overview

The privacy policy, effective 23 November 2024, grants the full set of GDPR data-subject rights: access, update, rectification, objection to processing, restriction, erasure, withdrawal of consent and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Requests go to contact@rendora.ai and are answered within fifteen working days after identity verification. Cross-border transfers are acknowledged — data may be processed and stored in several jurisdictions including the United States, and third-party providers may sit elsewhere, the European Union included — with a commitment to legally valid transfer mechanisms. Crucially, the company never states that it is itself GDPR compliant; the regulation is named only as a law that recipients must respect. No Article 27 EU representative and no data protection officer are designated anywhere on the site.

Who owns the data?

The User Agreement leaves intellectual property in the material you upload — the "User Contents" — with you or whoever you designate as rights holder, and makes you responsible for its legality. In exchange, you grant Rendora LLC and its affiliates a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive, irrevocable, unlimited and multi-tier sublicensable licence over anything you upload, publish or create, so that the company can operate, optimise and promote the platform. Rights in derivative works produced during a negotiated free trial stay with the publisher. How far you may exploit the finished videos depends on the plan you bought, not on ownership alone.

Reuse rights

What you may do with your finished videos is governed by tier, not by a blanket permission. The trial tier bans commercial use outright and confines output to technical testing, personal learning and non-public contexts. The personal tier clears self-media, personal brand promotion and freelance work. The enterprise tier clears corporate branding, marketing and systematic commercial activity. Built-in library assets — templates, sounds, studios — may be used freely within the terms of your subscription, but reselling them, reverse-engineering them or extracting them for use outside the video is prohibited. Anything you upload yourself must be owned or properly licensed by you, and any dispute over it is yours to answer for.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Rendora publishes no fixed retention period for any category of data. The privacy policy commits only to keeping personal information for as long as the stated purposes require, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Deletion or anonymisation follows within a reasonable time when you close your account, delete your data voluntarily, or the necessary storage period expires, and also if the company ceases to operate the service. Closing an account is irreversible and its contents are deleted or anonymised. Backups are not purged immediately: deleted data disappears when the backups are next updated. Users on a corporate account must go through their customer or administrator first. Requests are answered within fifteen working days.

Hosting summary

Rendora publishes no guaranteed hosting location and offers customers no choice of region. The privacy policy states that personal information may be processed and stored on servers in various jurisdictions, including the United States, and that third-party providers used to deliver the service may operate facilities outside your country of residence, the European Union among them. Both statements are hedged: neither commits to a jurisdiction. Security measures described are transport-layer encryption over HTTPS and encryption of stored personal information. One verifiable external fact complicates the picture: the A record for rendora.ai resolves to 129.226.79.138, geolocated in Hong Kong on AS132203, a Tencent network, and media assets are served from Alibaba Cloud object storage in Hangzhou. Anyone with a data residency requirement should get a written answer from the vendor before committing.

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Rendora.

  • Your video production data feeds model training by the vendor's own admission, with no documented way to opt out
  • The licence you grant over uploaded content is worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable and sublicensable through multiple tiers — read it before uploading client material
  • Photorealistic avatars speaking any script make convincing misinformation cheap; treat likeness cloning and spokesperson videos as a consent and disclosure question, not just a creative one
  • Publishing free-tier output commercially breaches the licence terms, and the watermark is not the only thing standing in the way
  • Auto-renewing subscriptions are non-refundable and must be cancelled at least three days before the billing date
  • Delegating every script to the AI writing assistant erodes the editorial judgement that made your videos worth watching
  • The published company address is a registered-agent address in Delaware and the server resolves to Hong Kong, so the real operating jurisdiction is harder to pin down than the footer suggests
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Very low. Nothing is installed: Rendora runs in the browser and an account is opened with an email address and a verification code, with no payment card for the free tier. A first video takes four steps — pick a studio, pick an avatar, paste a script, click 3D Generate. The practical constraints are environmental rather than technical: Chrome or Edge is required, the connection must be stable, and a credit balance and enough storage must be available before generation, rendering or export will run. Only API and SDK integration calls for developer work, arranged through sales.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does Rendora do?
It turns a written script, or a PowerPoint or PDF deck, into a finished video delivered by a photorealistic 3D avatar. Voice, lip sync, facial expression, gestures, lighting and camera work are all generated automatically. The platform is published by Rendora LLC, a Delaware company.
Is there a free plan, and what does the first paid tier cost?
Yes. The Freemium plan is permanent, costs nothing and needs no payment card, but caps you at 300 credits a month, 540p output, three-minute videos and three exports, with the watermark retained. The Starter plan costs 16 USD per month on an annual commitment, or 30 USD per month billed monthly.
Can I use the videos commercially?
It depends on the tier. The trial tier bans commercial use and allows only technical testing, personal learning and non-public contexts. The personal tier clears self-media, personal brand promotion and freelance work. The enterprise tier clears corporate branding, marketing and systematic commercial activity.
How many languages are supported?
The homepage advertises more than 100 languages; the product page cites 30+ languages and 400+ voice styles. The languages actually named on the site are English (US and UK), Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Japanese, Korean and Cantonese.
Is my content used to train AI models?
Yes. The privacy policy states that video production information, usage records and web logs are collected for service optimisation through data analysis and model training. No opt-out from that training is documented anywhere on the site.
Who owns the videos I create?
Intellectual property in the material you upload stays with you, but you grant Rendora LLC and its affiliates a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable and sublicensable licence over what you upload, publish or create. How far you may exploit the output is set by your plan.
Is there an API?
An API and an SDK are advertised for embedding 3D avatar video generation into your own platform, but no public documentation is published. Access goes through the enterprise contact form.
What is the minimum age, and which browsers work?
The privacy policy excludes children under 13 and advises anyone under 18 to read it with a legal guardian. The platform is web-only and officially supports Chrome and Edge; other browsers may cause compatibility problems, and there is no mobile app.
What security certification does Rendora hold?
A SOC 2 Type I report was obtained as of 31 March 2025, audited against the AICPA security and confidentiality trust services criteria. A copy is sent on documented request to contact@rendora.ai, with a response promised within ten working days.
How do subscriptions and cancellations work?
Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly or annual basis, with a discounted rate for the annual commitment. Once a payment has been taken it is not refunded, and cancellation must be requested from account settings at least three days before the next billing date.
Conclusion

Should you pick Rendora?

Rendora is one of the more ambitious entries in the AI video category. Where most tools animate a cropped bust, it renders a full 3D scene — a walking, gesturing presenter in a lit studio, shot by a virtual camera that changes framing on cue — and, unusually, it leaves every one of those elements editable after the fact. That combination, plus a genuine PowerPoint-to-video path and a post-production layer for subtitles, music and graphics, makes it a credible substitute for internal video production at volume: onboarding, compliance, product training, support walkthroughs, sales decks and localised campaigns.

The reservations are about governance rather than capability. The privacy policy openly says that video production information feeds model training and offers no way to opt out. The User Agreement takes a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable and sublicensable licence over uploaded content. There is no data processing agreement, no published subprocessor list, no Article 27 EU representative and no data protection officer, and a single mailbox handles support, legal, privacy and copyright alike. The published address is a Delaware registered-agent address shared by thousands of companies, while the domain resolves to a server in Hong Kong — a discrepancy worth raising before signing anything.

Pricing is only half-transparent: the free tier and the 16 USD Starter plan are clear enough, but Team and Enterprise both require a conversation, and renewals are non-refundable with a three-day cancellation window.

For a marketing, training or support team that wants studio-looking video without a studio, Rendora delivers. For a European buyer with a procurement checklist — DPA, subprocessors, training opt-out, EU representative — the paperwork is not there yet, and that gap should be closed in writing before adoption.
