Overview

What is Pine AI?

Pine AI, published by 19Pine Pte. Ltd. and often called simply Pine, is an autonomous agent built for the errands nobody wants: the call to the cable company, the cancellation nobody makes easy, the refund that takes three follow-ups. Its own pitch is blunt: "like ChatGPT - but it can make calls, email, and use a computer to finish the task for you." The company positions it as an autonomous completion agent rather than a chatbot or a budgeting app, one-and-done rather than partial assistance. The founding story is a 200 USD dispute with Bank of America that cost an hour and a half on the phone; the company was founded in late 2024 by Stanley Wei (CEO) and Vincent Sun (CTO) and launched in January 2025.

In practice, Pine places outbound calls, waits on hold, handles transfers, sends emails, fills in web forms and drives simulated browsers and computers. It runs multi-party workflows, such as an insurance appeal involving both a hospital and an insurer. It introduces itself as your authorised representative; with prior permission it can show your own number as caller ID, otherwise it calls from its own. A three-way call may be required when a provider insists on verifying your identity.

The figures on display are the publisher's own: 150,000+ users, 270 minutes saved on average, a 93% success rate in negotiation and more than 3 million USD saved for consumers, with an average 20% cut on telecom and cable bills and up to 50 USD in compensation from hotels and airlines. The site also claims a 4.1/5 App Store rating, press coverage from the Boston Globe to Forbes and Fortune, and a 25 million USD Series A raised in December 2025.

Pine runs on the web, iOS, Android and a native Mac app (macOS 12+, signed and notarised), with Windows announced as coming soon; the Mac build keeps tasks running with the window closed and shows a watchable secure desktop. The interface is offered in six languages. A Pine Voice API and Pine for Business exist only through Contact sales. Billing combines a subscription with credits, and bill negotiation is charged either in credits or as a 25% commission on confirmed savings depending on the plan. Results are never guaranteed: they depend on third parties who may refuse or simply not answer.

What it does

  • Call your provider and negotiate a recurring bill down: internet, mobile, cable, energy, insurance.
  • Cancel subscriptions and memberships, then confirm that no further payment will be taken.
  • Obtain refunds, compensation and fee waivers, from late fees to annual card fees and overcharges.
  • File formal complaints and chase them until they are resolved.
  • Handle travel disputes: airline compensation, lost luggage, hotel and car rental claims.
  • Book appointments and reservations with restaurants, contractors and service providers.
  • Dispute a parking ticket, or negotiate a hospital and medical bill.

When to use Pine AI / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Pine AI is the right fit.

When to use Pine AI

  • Busy professionals who value their own time far above the money at stake, and would rather delegate an hour on hold than live through it.
  • Neurodivergent consumers and anyone with phone anxiety, for whom calling a customer service line is a genuine obstacle rather than a minor chore.
  • Frequent travellers up against airline, hotel and car rental bureaucracy: compensation claims, lost luggage, disputed charges.
  • Households carrying several recurring bills and subscriptions they suspect are overpriced, across telecom, cable, energy and insurance.
  • People whose first language is not English and who would rather have an agent argue their case with a call centre.

When not to use Pine AI

  • Anyone hoping to route legal filings, immigration paperwork, financial decisions or medical decisions through an agent: the terms (2.6) and the usage policy (5) forbid these high-risk uses outright.
  • Organisations wanting to automate credit scoring, insurance eligibility, housing decisions, hiring or employee evaluation, criminal profiling, surveillance or biometrics, all of which are explicitly banned.
  • Users who need a guaranteed outcome: Pine states it cannot promise results when the other party does not respond, refuses the request or runs an inaccessible system.
  • People unwilling to hand over login credentials, ID documents, a social security number or one-time passcodes, which the agent needs in order to act in their name.
  • Anyone under 18, and anyone planning mass disputes, scraping, harassment or unauthorised automation, which the terms (2.8) and the usage policy (2) prohibit.

How to use Pine AI

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Create an account at 19pine.ai/app, signing in with Google or Apple if you prefer, or install the iOS, Android or Mac app.
  2. Collect the 200 credits granted on registration, then the 50 free credits handed out each day you log in, stacking up to 500 and resetting at 00:00 UTC.
  3. Describe the task in plain language, by text or by voice: "Cancel my Netflix subscription", "My phone bill was too high".
  4. Provide what the agent needs: your account details with the provider, a photo or PDF of the bill, any case reference.
  5. Authorise Pine to act as your representative, including access credentials, confirmation codes and one-time passcodes where they are required.
  6. Choose whether Pine displays your own phone number as caller ID or calls from its own numbers.
  7. On the Free and Pro Monthly plans, accept the card pre-authorisation placed before a bill negotiation (estimated savings times 25%), held for up to seven days.
  8. Let Pine plan and execute: calls, hold time, transfers, emails, forms and follow-ups until the matter is settled.
  9. Join a three-way call if the provider demands identity verification before making a change.
  10. Track progress, credit balance and consumption in Settings, under Plan & Credits.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • It carries out the task instead of advising you: the calls, the hold time, the transfers and the follow-ups are all handled.
  • A permanent free plan with 200 credits on registration and 50 more each day; add-on credit packs never expire and survive cancellation.
  • On Free and Pro Monthly, bill negotiation is only charged when savings are confirmed (25%), and the pre-authorisation is released in full otherwise.
  • From Pro Annual upwards, negotiation runs on credits with no commission and no pre-authorisation.
  • Present on every surface that matters: web, iOS, Android and a native Mac app.
  • A detailed security page: TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256-GCM at rest, sensitive data processed in memory only, and a responsible disclosure programme with safe harbour.
  • Stated commitments not to sell personal data, never to train on identifying data and to delete data within 24 hours on request, alongside unusually thorough first-party pricing documentation and a six-language interface.

Cons

  • No postal address, no contact page and no legal notice anywhere on the site: support@19pine.ai is the only published channel.
  • No dedicated GDPR section, no DPO, no Article 27 representative, no DPA and no subprocessor list; no hosting country or region is disclosed either.
  • To act, Pine asks for highly sensitive material: social security number, ID documents, login credentials, one-time passcodes.
  • Call transcripts and exchanges with third parties are classed as internal process under section 6.1 and may be withheld from you, and no opt-out is documented for the anonymised, aggregated data used to improve the service.
  • Plan credits do not roll over from one month to the next, payments are in principle non-refundable (terms 4.2 and 5.4), and a failed negotiation still consumes credits.
  • Singaporean governing law and exclusive jurisdiction, with no explicit reservation for European Union consumers in the governing law clause.
  • No public API documentation, since the Pine Voice API goes through a sales conversation, no Windows version, no guaranteed results, and an /ai-information-page that still describes a pay-as-you-go, tip-based model the pricing page contradicts.

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Pine AI handles your data.

GDPR overview

The privacy policy, effective 1 August 2025, contains no dedicated GDPR section: no legal basis, no list of data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection), no supervisory authority named. No DPO is appointed, no Article 27 EU representative is designated, and no EU postal address appears on the site. The single explicit mention sits on the trust centre page: "We align our practices with leading frameworks such as SOC 2, GDPR, and CCPA", which is alignment rather than a claim of compliance. Two concrete European touchpoints do exist: section 5.4 of the terms recognises a 14-day withdrawal right for consumers in the European Union, the United Kingdom and Turkey, and the usage policy invokes the EU AI Act to forbid high-risk uses. Governing law and exclusive jurisdiction are Singaporean. No transfer mechanism, hosting country or subprocessor list is published.

Who owns the data?

Section 6.2 of the terms leaves you the owner of your content and of Pine's output, though output may not be unique across users. 19Pine keeps rights over usage data for analytics and service improvement. Call transcripts, system decisions and exchanges with third parties count under section 6.1 as Pine's internal working process, which the company may decline to share with you. The privacy policy allows sharing with service providers, third-party AI vendors, the businesses contacted on your instruction, payment processors (Stripe, RevenueCat), affiliates, advisers, authorities and an acquirer. Pine states it neither sells nor rents personal information, and that sensitive data such as social security numbers and credentials is withheld from third-party AI providers.

Reuse rights

You keep ownership of your content and of Pine's output, so you may reuse both freely without asking anyone's permission. Three limits apply. Section 6.3 of the terms forbids repurposing output to defraud, harass, impersonate or harm others. Section 6.1 supplies output as is: checking that a claim, a letter or a negotiated figure is accurate and lawful is your responsibility, not the vendor's. And section 7 of the usage policy bans using Pine's output to train or operate competing AI systems without authorisation. On the practical side, the trust centre states you can view or export your data directly from your dashboard.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
The privacy policy says Pine keeps the minimum necessary, essentially profile data such as name, email and account settings, for as long as needed to maintain the account, deliver the service and meet legal obligations around fraud, disputes and compliance, with a regular review that deletes or anonymises profile data that has become unnecessary. Sensitive information is processed only for the duration of the task and is not kept beyond operational or legal necessity; the security page adds that it is handled in memory only, inside isolated, short-lived environments. Conversation history is retained for service improvement and traceability, with personal identifiers removed. The trust centre promises permanent erasure within 24 hours of a request, and accounts are closed on request to support@19pine.ai. No figure is published for how long logs, call transcripts or usage data are kept.

Hosting summary

No hosting country or region is stated anywhere on the site, and no infrastructure provider is named: the privacy policy refers only to categories such as infrastructure hosting and service providers. What is known is the jurisdiction. The publisher is 19Pine Pte. Ltd., a Singaporean company, with Singaporean governing law and courts. On the network side, 19pine.ai resolves to 104.26.15.20, a Cloudflare anycast address (AS13335) whose point of presence sits in San Francisco, United States, but a CDN node is a delivery point and not a storage location. The domain is registered with GoDaddy.com, LLC (United States) from 07/03/2024 to 07/03/2032. On processing, the security page describes isolated, short-lived environments with strict access controls, sensitive data held in memory only, TLS 1.3 in transit and AES-256-GCM at rest for logs and databases. Stripe and RevenueCat are named as payment processors, and Pine states it does not store full card numbers. No DPA, no subprocessor list and no international transfer clause are published.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Pine AI.

  • Handing login credentials, one-time passcodes, a social security number and ID documents to a third party just to get a chore done.
  • Pine presents itself to businesses as your authorised representative, and its submissions are deemed made by you: an agent's mistake binds you in front of the provider (terms 2.9, 2.11 and 2.12).
  • Your personal phone number can be displayed as the outgoing caller ID.
  • Pine declines responsibility for the consequences of using your credentials: account suspension, a rejected claim, a provider refusing to deal with an agent.
  • Call transcripts may never be shared with you, and outputs are probabilistic: delegating without re-reading means never seeing the inaccuracies (terms 1.1).
  • The 25% commission ties the agent's interest to the size of the deal, the card pre-authorisation is placed before any result is known and held for up to seven days, a failure still consumes credits, and contractual liability is capped at three months of payments.
  • Losing the habit, and the skill, of negotiating and settling your own disputes; and stepping outside the contract entirely by using Pine on a legal or medical matter, which the usage policy forbids.
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

No technical skill is required: create an account, with Google or Apple sign-in, then say what you want in plain language, by text or by voice. The iOS, Android and Mac apps are ready to use, the Mac build signed and notarised by Apple, so a double-click is enough. Nothing to integrate, no API key, no code. The real difficulty is informational rather than technical: gathering account details, the bill and case references, then deciding which credentials to hand over. Entry plans also require accepting a payment pre-authorisation, and a three-way call may be needed for identity verification.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does Pine AI actually do?
It calls companies, sends emails, fills in forms and uses a computer to finish a task for you, instead of advising you on how to do it yourself.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan is permanent: 200 credits on registration, then 50 credits granted each day you log in, stacking up to a ceiling of 500 that resets at 00:00 UTC.
How much does the cheapest paid plan cost?
Pine AI Pro costs 26.60 USD per month on an annual commitment, or 39 USD per month without one. All prices on the site are quoted in USD.
How is bill negotiation charged?
On Free and Pro Monthly, Pine takes 25% of the confirmed savings and places a card pre-authorisation held for up to seven days, released in full if the negotiation fails. From Pro Annual upwards, negotiation is paid in credits, with no commission and no pre-authorisation.
Do unused credits roll over?
Plan credits do not: they are reset at every renewal. Add-on credits bought separately never expire and survive cancellation of the subscription.
Which devices does Pine run on?
The web app, iOS, Android and a native Mac app requiring macOS 12 or later. A Windows version is announced as coming soon.
Does Pine train its models on my data?
The site states it uses only anonymised, aggregated patterns, never personally identifying data, and that sensitive data is excluded from both training and analytics. No user-facing opt-out option is documented.
How long is my data kept?
Conversation history is retained for service improvement and traceability, with personal identifiers removed; sensitive data is processed in memory only; the trust centre promises permanent erasure within 24 hours of a request. No retention period is published for logs, call transcripts or usage data.
Is there an API?
A Pine Voice API is announced on the download page, but it is only accessible through a sales conversation and no public documentation exists.
Does Pine guarantee a result?
No. The terms exclude any guarantee of resolution, since outcomes depend on third parties, and contractual liability is capped at the amounts paid over the previous three months.
Conclusion

Should you pick Pine AI?

Pine AI makes a claim few tools dare to make: it does not help you deal with a company, it deals with the company for you. Placing the call, holding the line, arguing the case, following up, the whole errand rather than advice about it. That is a rare and genuinely useful proposition, and the pricing behind it is unusually legible, documented by first-party guides on plans, credits, negotiation and payments, with a success-based model on the entry tiers where 25% is charged only on savings actually confirmed.

The counterpart is trust. To act in your name, Pine asks for login credentials, one-time passcodes, ID documents and sometimes a social security number, at a moment when its legal transparency is thin. There is no postal address, no contact page, no legal notice, no dedicated GDPR section, no DPA, no hosting country and no subprocessor list. Governing law and jurisdiction are exclusively Singaporean, and the governing law clause carries no explicit reservation for European Union consumers. The company is young: founded in late 2024, launched in January 2025, with a 25 million USD Series A claimed in December 2025.

Results, finally, are never contractually guaranteed. They depend on the goodwill of whoever answers at the other end, and a failed negotiation still consumes credits. Note too that /ai-information-page still describes an older pay-as-you-go model with a tip, which the pricing page contradicts; the publisher points to that pricing page as the single source of truth, so check the current state of the plans there yourself before subscribing. Worth trying on a low-stakes errand first, a cancellation or a small refund, before handing over anything that would hurt to lose control of.
