What is Fatta?
Fatta is an AI study platform published by the Swedish company Zarro Labz AB (org.nr 559564-4732) for students in Sweden, from årskurs 7 to university, aged 13 and over. The student uploads their own material — typed text, a PDF, an image, handwritten notes, a camera shot, a YouTube link or a voice recording — and the AI turns it into a structured study guide holding a summary, key concepts, explanations, quizzes, spaced-repetition flashcards driven by the SuperMemo-2 algorithm, a daily review and generated images. Named modules sit around that core. Fatta Chatten is an unlimited AI tutor that detects the subject and course by itself, pitches its answers at the Skolverket curriculum level and replies with follow-up questions instead of finished answers, an explicitly Socratic method. Fatta Matte solves problems step by step from a photo, text or file, and adds an E/C/A exercise generator, a Math Gym, a national-test mode and a knowledge map spanning 13 courses from årskurs 7 to Matte 5 and 1,035 exercises. Fatta HP covers all 8 delprov of the Högskoleprovet, with over 4,000 questions from 26 real past papers from 2013 to 2025, timed mock sittings, result analysis, a personal training plan and an AI coach; Fatta HP English adds English explanations and a bilingual coach. Fatta Tal diagnoses and trains number sense: subitising, part-whole relationships and ten-complements. Study material can also become roughly three-minute AI podcasts voiced by Sara & Johan. Free side tools include the Betygsräknare, which computes a meritvärde-style score on the A=20 to F=0 scale across 17 subjects, up to 340 without bonus and 342.5 with meritbonus, across GY11 and GY25, plus a school calendar built from a photo of the timetable. A 24-game arcade unlocked by study time, XP, daily streaks, badges and a pseudonymised leaderboard add motivation, while the Må Bra module offers breathing exercises against exam anxiety, a focus timer and mood tracking. Guardians follow progress and quiz results from their own dashboard without seeing notes or conversations, and moderation surfaces Swedish crisis resources (BRIS, Mind) when needed. Access is web-only, through an installable web app rather than store apps, in Swedish and English. Against a general-purpose assistant, Fatta argues curriculum alignment, Socratic tutoring, automatic subject detection, GDPR compliance and parental consent for minors. School licences are offered to schools and municipalities in the Nordic countries through the contact form.

- Students outside the Swedish school system: every guide, exercise and mock paper is calibrated on the Skolverket curriculum and on the Högskoleprovet.
- Children under 13: this is the contractual minimum age, and registration below it is not allowed.
- Commercial, automated or bulk use: the Fair Use Policy forbids automation, mass production, resale of generated content and account sharing.
- Technical teams looking for an API or a programmatic integration: no public API and no documentation are offered.
- Anyone who wants a ready-made answer: the tutor is deliberately Socratic, and the site itself warns that the AI can hallucinate and does not replace a teacher.

- Create an account with an email address and password or a social login; sign-up asks for your email, name, birth year and school level.
- Open the app in a browser — there is nothing to install — or add it to your home screen through the web app manifest.
- Upload your material: typed text, a PDF, an image, handwritten notes, a camera shot, a YouTube link or a voice recording.
- Let the AI build the guide; the very first guide you create is always 'Pro-boosted', processed with the Resultat-level AI even on the free plan.
- Revise from the guide with quizzes, spaced-repetition flashcards and the daily review, and ask Fatta Chatten whatever stays unclear.
- Mind the per-plan limits: uploads cap at 5 MB on the free plan, 20 MB with Frihet and 100 MB with Resultat, and dictation at 5, 10 and 30 minutes respectively.
- Share a guide by link if you want to — the recipient has to create a free account to open it.
- Switch on optional study reminders and streak alerts, by SMS or push notification.
- Upgrade when you need to: subscriptions are taken and managed through the payment provider's customer portal, and a minor's payment link is sent to a parent by email or SMS and stays valid for 7 days.

A permanent free plan, Kom igång, is offered at 0 kr and asks for no payment card. The cheapest paid entry point is Frihet at 129 kr/mån, in Swedish kronor and VAT included; Resultat costs 199 kr/mån. Longer commitments lower the price: Frihet is 649 kr for six months (-16%) or 1,249 kr a year (-19%), and Resultat 999 kr for six months (-16%) or 1,899 kr a year (-21%). The Högskoleprovet modules are billed separately: Fatta HP at 299 kr/mån (1,494 kr for six months, -17%) and Fatta HP English at 399 kr/mån (2,034 kr for six months, -15%); both include the Resultat feature set inside the application. Extra AI podcasts are sold individually at 15 kr each on any plan. Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or annually, charged on the same date each period. A 14-day right of withdrawal applies but lapses as soon as the paid features are actively used. Cancellation is possible at any time through the payment provider's customer portal; access runs to the end of the paid period and unused time is not refunded. GDPR overview
GDPR compliance is claimed explicitly, alongside the Swedish dataskyddslagen (2018:218); the legal documents took effect on 31 January 2026. The digital age of consent is 13, checked via the birth year given at sign-up; under-18s need a guardian to approve and pay. Guardian oversight is graded: a linked guardian sees quiz results, streaks, badges and chosen subjects, never notes, chat history or timestamps; from 16 the student controls sharing by category, and at 18 oversight switches off automatically. Pseudonymity is mandatory on leaderboards. Rights to access, rectification, erasure, objection, machine-readable portability and complaint are listed. Security claims cover HTTPS/TLS in transit, encrypted storage, restricted staff access and regular audits. Transfers outside the EU rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, applied only to AI generation and authentication; article 28 processing agreements are signed with every provider. The supervisory authority is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY). Every policy also comes in an Easy Read version.
Who owns the data?
Under the terms in force on 31 January 2026, you keep every right to the material you upload — text, PDFs and images. Fatta, published by Zarro Labz AB, receives a narrow licence: process it with AI to build your study guides, store and display it in your account, and use anonymised usage statistics to improve the service. AI-generated content in your account belongs to you for personal use. The platform, design, logo and code remain the publisher's, and the fatta.ai trade mark is registered with the EUIPO under number 019315515. Fatta states it never shares personal study material with other users and never sells data. As controller, it answers privacy requests at privacy@fatta.ai within three working days and points complaints to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
Reuse rights
Fatta lists the purposes it processes data for: running the account and generating guides, saving progress, taking payment, sending optional SMS reminders, providing support, fixing and developing the service, preventing abuse, and marketing only with consent. Users supply an email address, name, birth year, school level, an optional profile photo and phone number, plus their uploaded study material, quiz results, chat history and progress; IP address, browser, device, logins, time spent and features used are collected automatically. No card number is stored by Fatta — the payment provider handles that under PCI DSS Level 1. Under the EU AI Act (2024/1689) the publisher declares its AI uses: guide and summary generation, Fatta Chatten, image analysis and OCR, voice transcription, AI podcasts and mathematical solving. It states as a matter of fact that AI models are not trained on personal study material — a declared default rather than a setting the user can switch, and no opt-out from training is documented. Children's data is not used for profiling or behavioural analysis beyond the purpose of the service, no advertising targets under-18s, and children's data is not resold. Generated content is labelled with an AI icon, podcasts are flagged as synthetic voice, and a human review of an AI answer can be requested at privacy@fatta.ai with the subject 'AI review'. Only necessary, functional and analytics cookies are set; there are no advertising cookies. The guides you generate are yours to reuse personally, without asking further permission.

The privacy policy is the authoritative statement: hosting is within the EU (France), and all sensitive user data and study material is stored encrypted within the EU, with database, file storage and hosting all located there. Locations are declared provider by provider: hosting EU (France), database EU, file storage EU (eu-west), payments Ireland (EU), transactional email Ireland (EU), SMS Sweden, authentication USA (EU SCCs) and text-to-speech USA (EU SCCs); the AI services are covered by GDPR-compliant processing agreements with no country stated. Certifications cited by provider include SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2/3 and PCI DSS Level 1. European Standard Contractual Clauses apply only to services that require processing outside the EU, namely AI generation and authentication. Data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS/TLS and encrypted at rest. Two gaps between pages should be noted without this listing settling them: a home-page badge advertises servers in Sweden while the legal documents name France, and the home page's security section states that data never crosses borders to the United States, which the privacy policy contradicts by placing two providers there under Standard Contractual Clauses.

- The AI can hallucinate. The site says so itself and advises checking important answers against a textbook or a teacher before an exam.
- Commercial small print: the 14-day right of withdrawal lapses as soon as the paid features are actively used, unused time is not refunded after cancellation except under the Fatta HP results guarantee, the Resultat price is presented as introductory and set to rise, and an account is deleted 24 months after the last login.
- 'Unlimited' means normal personal use: the Fair Use Policy allows Fatta to restrict access in cases of automation, mass production, commercial use or account sharing.
- The English version of the site describes the Fatta Tal module in two different ways, once as practising oral presentations with AI feedback and once as training number sense (subitising, part-whole relationships, ten-complements); the Swedish version and the product pages describe number sense.
