Overview

What is MuleRun?

MuleRun is an AI agent platform published by Intelligent Cloud Computing (Singapore) Private Limited. Its pitch is a workforce rather than an assistant: instead of answering inside a chat window, an agent takes the whole job and hands back a finished result.

The architecture follows from that premise. Each account gets a dedicated cloud computer that stays powered on, with its own disk and workspace, so a task assigned in the evening keeps running once the browser tab is closed. Paid tiers size that machine explicitly, from two cores and 4 GB of RAM on Plus up to eight cores and 16 GB on Pro.

Eight modules are documented. Chat is the entry point, an observable conversation where the agent's reasoning and tool calls stay visible. Computer is the persistent machine itself. Drive stores files shared between you and your agents. Knowledge holds reusable skills and past experience that the system injects into a task automatically. Pages publishes static or dynamic sites in one click, with custom domains and databases. Datasources plugs in third-party data APIs. Browser Connector is a Chrome extension that runs work inside your own browser, keeping credentials and sessions on your machine. Scheduled Tasks handles recurring jobs and delivers results to MuleRun or a connected messaging channel.

Beyond the web interface sits a command line installed through npm, covering coding sessions, the machine, storage, page deployment and Studio, the multimodal surface for images, video, speech and music. An API is documented and roughly forty OpenAPI specifications are published, naming the third-party models reachable through the platform: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Veo, Alibaba Wan, Kling AI, Midjourney and ByteDance Seedance among them. MuleRun is explicit that it orchestrates these models rather than training or hosting them.

The public showcase groups results into websites and apps, reports and documents, presentations, and browser games, each with a viewable output and a reusable template. Safety checkpoints request approval before critical actions and confidence thresholds are configurable. An iOS app shipped in May 2026, and the site is published in seven locales.

What it does

  • Runs multi-step tasks end to end on a cloud computer that stays online 24/7
  • Produces finished deliverables: PowerPoint decks, Word documents, HTML reports and spreadsheets
  • Builds and deploys working websites and web apps, with a custom domain on paid plans
  • Researches the live web, scrapes sources and structures what it collects
  • Generates images, video, speech and music through Studio
  • Monitors chosen metrics on a schedule and acts when something changes
  • Drives your own logged-in Chrome through a local browser connector

When to use MuleRun / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if MuleRun is the right fit.

When to use MuleRun

  • Marketing and growth teams with recurring competitor, campaign and content work that never quite justifies building a rigid automation
  • Operations and administrative staff who spend their days turning raw data into decks, reports and Word documents
  • Founders, freelancers and consultants working without support staff, who need one tool that both researches the question and produces the deliverable
  • Analysts and researchers who want live data gathered, structured and rendered as a readable report rather than a raw export
  • Developers who would rather stay in a terminal: the CLI, the API and the published OpenAPI specifications expose the same platform

When not to use MuleRun

  • Anyone who simply wants a conversational assistant, since MuleRun positions itself against chatbots and prices task execution rather than chat
  • Organisations under a formal GDPR requirement: the site never once mentions the regulation and names Singapore's PDPA as its framework
  • Teams that must keep personal data inside the European Union, as hosting is declared in Singapore with no residency option
  • Regulated decision-making in credit, employment, housing, insurance, legal rights or medical treatment, which the terms of use place off limits
  • Under-18s, excluded by the privacy policy, and anyone caught by the export-control and sanctions restrictions in the terms

How to use MuleRun

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Create a free account; no card is required for your first workflows
  2. Describe the task you want done in plain language, in the chat box on the home page or in the app
  3. Press Run Agent and let MuleRun route the request to the right agent
  4. Watch the run unfold, since the interface shows the agent reasoning, calling tools and producing output
  5. Approve the steps it flags as critical, and pause or redirect the run at any point
  6. Or start from the Use Cases gallery, where each example ships with a viewable result and a one-click template
  7. Collect the deliverable, or publish it as a live page with a custom domain on a paid plan
  8. Set the job to repeat on a schedule and choose where the results should land
  9. For developers, optionally install the CLI with npm and authenticate through browser OAuth
  10. Optionally add the Chrome Browser Connector so the agent works in your already logged-in browser

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how MuleRun handles your data.

GDPR overview

There is no GDPR implementation to report, and that is the finding rather than a gap in the research: across every page collected, the words GDPR and General Data Protection Regulation appear nowhere, neither in the rendered text nor in the raw HTML. The framework MuleRun does name is Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012, with a dedicated Singapore addendum covering consent, cross-border transfers, access and correction. A Data Protection Officer is appointed and reachable at intldpo@mulerun.com, and a Data Processing Addendum is published for Creators, again built on the PDPA. Data subject rights are stated conditionally, phrased as depending on where you live rather than anchored in European law. No Article 27 representative is designated. European users should treat compliance as unverified rather than assumed.

Who owns the data?

Under the terms of use you keep ownership of your User Content, a category covering both the prompts and files you submit and the outputs the agent produces. That ownership is qualified by a licence you grant MuleRun and its affiliates: worldwide, royalty-free, covering inputs and any outputs you hold rights in, and allowing the company to operate, optimise and enhance its products, including internal research, service improvements and brand promotion. Feedback you volunteer is treated separately and more broadly still, under a perpetual, irrevocable licence carrying no confidentiality obligation. MuleRun also disclaims any duty to store your content or hand back a copy of it.

Reuse rights

You may reuse what the agent produces without asking permission. The terms confirm that you own the intellectual property rights in your User Content, outputs included, so commercial use is yours to make. Two limits deserve attention. Outputs carry no guarantee of uniqueness, and the terms warn that identical or substantially similar results may be produced for other users, so exclusivity cannot be assumed. And you stay solely responsible for reviewing accuracy, appropriateness and third-party rights before acting on anything, having also warranted that you held the rights to whatever you submitted in the first place.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
No retention period is ever put in figures. The privacy policy ties retention to an ongoing legitimate business need, giving as examples providing a service you asked for and meeting legal, tax or accounting obligations, and adds that data may be kept after the relationship ends where the law requires it. Actual periods are said to depend on the nature of the data and the reason it was collected, which leaves them undisclosed. On the content side the terms are blunter: MuleRun is under no obligation to store, maintain or return your User Content, which may be removed or made inaccessible even when you have not marked it for deletion. A deletion right is mentioned, but conditionally, framed as depending on where you live.

Hosting summary

MuleRun states that it generally stores personal data on secure servers located in Singapore, and its Singapore addendum puts it more plainly still: your personal data will be stored in Singapore. Transfers out of that jurisdiction are anticipated rather than excluded. Data may be reached by officers, employees, support staff, agents, third-party service providers and their own subprocessors, and by affiliated companies, any of which may sit in other countries. Those transfers are governed by the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, under a commitment to maintain protection at least comparable to the Singapore standard. The security measures named are industry-standard TLS in transit, identity, credential and access management, and internal access limited to staff who need it for their work. No European region is offered and no data residency choice exists. Separately from anything the company declares, the site's own IP address resolves to Hong Kong on an Alibaba group network, which describes infrastructure rather than the location of user data.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting MuleRun.

  • Data governance is the weak point: no GDPR mention, hosting in Singapore, no published retention period and no subprocessor list
  • The licence you grant over inputs and outputs reaches further than most people will read, as far as internal research and brand promotion
  • An agent acting autonomously with real tools can act wrongly at scale, and the terms place the duty to review every output squarely on you
  • The browser connector runs tasks inside your already-authenticated Chrome, which is convenient and widens the blast radius of a careless instruction
  • Delegating the whole task rather than the first draft erodes the habit of doing the work, and skills you stop practising are skills you lose
  • Credit billing rewards inattention: an always-on agent can consume quietly while nobody is watching the meter
  • MuleRun is under no obligation to keep your content, so anything you value needs a backup elsewhere
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Very low on the standard path. An account and a browser are enough: you describe the task in plain language and press a button, and MuleRun states that no coding, no complex setup and no IT tickets are required. Ready-made templates in the Use Cases gallery shorten the first run further. The optional layers ask more of you: the command line needs npm and a browser OAuth login, the Chrome connector needs an extension installed locally, and custom domains on Pages assume you can edit DNS records.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is a MuleRun agent different from ChatGPT?
A chatbot generates text inside a conversation. A MuleRun agent acts: it opens tools, follows a multi-step workflow and hands back the completed work. The site frames the difference as asking for advice versus hiring someone to do the job.
What kinds of tasks can it handle?
Data analysis, content creation, email management, document processing, project coordination, monitoring dashboards, competitor research and social media scheduling are the examples MuleRun gives. The published gallery adds slide decks, Word documents, HTML reports, deployed websites and browser games.
What does always-on actually mean?
The agent runs on a dedicated cloud computer rather than a browser tab, so it keeps working after you log off. You can schedule overnight jobs, set up continuous monitoring or run recurring tasks, with results delivered to MuleRun or a connected channel.
Is my data used to train AI models?
MuleRun states it does not design, train, fine-tune, modify or host the underlying models, and that its collective intelligence learns from anonymised workflow patterns rather than private data. Note that the terms still grant a broad licence over inputs and outputs for internal research and service improvement.
Is it GDPR compliant?
The site never mentions the GDPR. Its stated framework is Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012, a Data Protection Officer is named at intldpo@mulerun.com and a Data Processing Addendum is published, but no Article 27 EU representative is designated.
Where is my data stored?
In Singapore, according to the privacy policy, with onward transfers to service providers, subprocessors and affiliates in other jurisdictions anticipated and governed by the PDPA. No European hosting region or data residency choice is offered.
Is there a free plan, and what does the cheapest paid tier cost?
The free plan is permanent, with 500 credits on signup and 200 refreshed daily. Plus starts at USD 16 per month on annual billing, or USD 192 per year, and annual commitment is discounted by 20%.
Do I need technical skills to use it?
Not for the main path. MuleRun states that no coding, no complex setup and no IT tickets are required: you describe the task and the agent handles execution. A command line and an API exist for developers who want them.
Is there a mobile app?
An iOS app, MuleRun - AI Agent Assistant, was released in May 2026 in the Productivity category. No Android application was found on Google Play at the time of review.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes. The privacy policy states the services are not directed at and must not be used by minors, including anyone under the age of 18.
Conclusion

Should you pick MuleRun?

MuleRun is a more substantial product than its marketing register suggests. Eight documented modules, a command line on npm, a documented API with some forty published OpenAPI specifications, an iOS app and seven site locales add up to real engineering rather than a wrapper around someone else's model. The core claim, that an agent should hold a persistent machine and finish the job instead of returning text, is genuinely different from the chatbots it compares itself against, and the published gallery lets you inspect actual outputs before spending anything.

Pricing is public and readable, the free tier is unusually generous with its daily credit refresh, and the credit model is stated plainly, though it does mean the real cost follows usage rather than the subscription line alone.

The reservations sit almost entirely on the governance side, and they are not small. The word GDPR appears nowhere on the site. Personal data is stored in Singapore under the PDPA with no European option, no subprocessor list is published, no retention period is ever quantified, and the licence granted over inputs and outputs stretches as far as brand promotion. There is no postal address, no contact page and no about page. Both the company and the product are young: the domain was registered in March 2025 and the mobile app shipped in May 2026.

The sensible reading is to match the tool to the work. For research, drafting, reporting, slide production and site building on material you would not mind seeing leave your premises, it is a capable and well-priced assistant. For regulated data, personal data belonging to European subjects, or anything where retention and subprocessing must be demonstrable, wait until MuleRun documents its position properly.
