SpiderAds
SpiderAds is a Swedish advertising automation platform that reads a company's website or data feed, builds branded ads from it, and publishes them automatically across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube, with campaign reporting included.
What is SpiderAds?
SpiderAds is an advertising automation system built by the Swedish company SpiderAds AB, based in Stockholm. Its premise is that most digital advertising work is repetitive: the same offers, listings or vacancies already exist on a company's own website, and turning them into adverts is manual labour. SpiderAds removes that step. The system synchronises with the customer's site or data feed, extracts the relevant items according to criteria agreed during setup, and produces finished adverts from them. When the website changes, the adverts change with it.
The offer is organised into five modules rather than pricing tiers. AutoAds Always On runs continuously and comes with a contract period; it is aimed at organisations that need a permanent local presence, and it can convert store flyers into video and HTML5 formats automatically. AutoAds On Demand covers single campaigns and is charged per use, with an advert produced in fifteen to twenty seconds. Integration+ embeds SpiderAds inside another company's platform so that its clients create and publish adverts without leaving it. White Label goes further, letting a partner operate the technology under its own logos, templates, fonts and domains. Reports supplies the measurement layer.
Distribution covers Google and Meta's channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Marketplace and Audience Network, plus LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, web TV, display inventory and digital outdoor screens. LinkedIn publishing is switched off by default and enabled on request. Targeting works on gender, age and geography, and the vendor says optimisation draws on Facebook's Twin AI together with its own algorithms working from live interaction data.
Reporting returns impressions, reach, clicks, click-through rate and device, in real time or on a weekly, monthly or end-of-campaign schedule, and a Partner API exists for customers who want the figures inside their own systems.
Named users include the grocery chain ICA, the retailers Elon and Autoexperten, the estate agency Notar, the dealership group Stendahls Bil, the software vendors Visma and Vitec, and Swedish public bodies such as Kronofogden, Skatteverket and Försäkringskassan. No installation is required of the customer: a modern browser is the stated requirement, and the vendor says a new account can be live in under fourteen days.
What it does
- Generate ready-to-publish adverts automatically from the content of a website or data feed
- Publish and schedule campaigns across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube
- Run continuous local advertising per store, branch, listing or job opening
- Apply a brand template so every generated advert keeps the company's colours, fonts and layout
- Track impressions, reach, clicks, click-through rate and device in a reporting dashboard
- Push campaign statistics into the customer's own systems through the Partner API
- Embed the whole ad engine inside a partner platform, optionally under the partner's own brand
When to use SpiderAds / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if SpiderAds is the right fit.
When to use SpiderAds
- Multi-site retail chains that need local, store-by-store advertising kept up to date without a designer touching each campaign
- Software vendors and platforms that want to offer advertising to their own customers without building it, through Integration+ or the white label edition
- Recruiters and employer-brand teams publishing a steady stream of job adverts across social and search channels
- Estate agencies and car dealerships whose listings change constantly and have to be promoted individually
- Public bodies and large organisations running one-off information campaigns that must go live quickly and stop cleanly
When not to use SpiderAds
- Anyone who wants to sign up and start alone: there is no self-service registration, every route on the site leads to a sales conversation
- Buyers who must budget before talking to a salesperson, since no price is published anywhere on the site
- Teams looking for a mobile app, as no iOS or Android application exists and a modern browser is the stated requirement
- Organisations that need the interface in a language other than English, which is the only language the site and the client application expose
- Anyone shopping for organic social or search optimisation, since this is a paid advertising engine and the vendor addresses organic reach through a partnership instead
How to use SpiderAds
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Contact the vendor through the website, since there is no self-service sign-up; every button on the site points to the contact form
- Choose a subject on that form, which offers Book a demo, Support, Sales, Contact and Others
- Agree the selection criteria that decide which content becomes an advert, such as all offers in chosen product categories or the forty most recent items
- Have the brand template built during the initial setup phase so generated adverts match the company's visual identity
- Connect the data source, whether that is the website itself or another feed the vendor integrates
- Pick the module that fits the need: Always On for continuous presence, On Demand for a single campaign, Integration+ or White Label to embed the engine elsewhere
- Select the channels and let the system create, optimise and publish the adverts
- Let the content refresh itself, since adverts update automatically when the source website changes
- Read performance in the reporting dashboard or in the scheduled email reports, or pull it through the Partner API
- Edit, pause or stop a campaign at any time, by email or through the link in the confirmation message for On Demand campaigns
Pros & Cons
Pros
- End-to-end automation that genuinely removes the repetitive part of local advertising, with adverts refreshing themselves when the source website changes
- Verifiable and named customer base, including Swedish public authorities and large retail chains, rather than anonymous testimonials
- Broad channel coverage in one place, from Google and Meta to LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, display and digital outdoor
- Three distinct delivery routes, direct, embedded in a partner platform, or fully white labelled
- A Partner API that lets customers keep campaign statistics inside their own reporting stack
- Fast operational tempo, with adverts produced in seconds and onboarding stated at under fourteen days
- No lock-in on the lighter offer, since On Demand is charged per use and campaigns can be stopped at any time
Cons
- No pricing transparency at all: there is no pricing page, no published figure, and every enquiry is routed to a salesperson
- The API is offered but has no public documentation anywhere on the site, in its sitemaps or on a developer subdomain, so its scope cannot be assessed before signing
- No data processing agreement and no subprocessor list are published, which is awkward for buyers with procurement checklists
- No security certification such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2 is claimed anywhere on the site
- The privacy policy is visibly unmaintained: it still names the company under its former name, refers to a data transfer to Ireland that fits nothing else on the site, and carries no effective date
- Nothing is said about whether customer data is used to train models, so the question cannot be answered from the published material
- The login dashboard is described in the vendor's own FAQ as still under development
Pricing & Plans
No price is published. SpiderAds does not operate a pricing page, and the FAQ states that packages are assembled according to each company's needs, with figures supplied on request through a direct commercial contact. The only structural information given is the billing principle: a setup component plus fixed CPM rates, which the vendor presents as excluding hidden costs. AutoAds Always On carries a contract period, while AutoAds On Demand is charged per use with no commitment. Upgrades are possible at any time; downgrades depend on the service and its terms. Invoicing is issued against a cost centre and a named reference person supplied at order time, and payment is taken by Bankgiro in Sweden or by IBAN and BIC internationally. Neither a permanent free plan nor a free trial is mentioned on any page.
Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how SpiderAds handles your data.
GDPR overview
The site never claims to be GDPR compliant in so many words, but its privacy policy is written around the regulation. It sets out legal bases for processing, and lists data subject rights: access, update and deletion, rectification, objection, restriction, portability, and withdrawal of consent, along with the right to complain to a data protection authority in the European Economic Area. Identity verification may be requested before a response. No data protection officer is named, and no Article 27 representative is designated, which is consistent with a publisher established in Sweden. Requests go to the general support address. Two limits are worth noting. The document names the publisher under its former company name, and its data transfer clause refers to Ireland, which matches neither the Swedish publisher nor the hosting observed. It also carries no effective date despite promising one.
Who owns the data?
The privacy policy is the only legal document published on the site, and it names the publisher as the data controller for the personal data it collects through the website and the SpiderAds software. The categories listed are contact details: email address, first and last name, telephone number, and postal address with city, state or province and postcode. The document separates the roles of controller and processor in its definitions, and states that third-party processors may act on the publisher's behalf. It does not, however, say anything about ownership of the campaign data or the customer content that the advertising platform itself ingests and republishes, so that question is left unanswered by the material available.
Reuse rights
The published purposes are to provide and maintain the service, notify users of changes, enable interactive features, deliver customer support, monitor usage, detect and repair technical faults, and send news and offers about comparable products and services. Direct marketing is included and can be refused through an unsubscribe link or by contacting the publisher. The legal bases stated are consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interest, payment processing and legal obligation. Google Analytics, Google AdWords remarketing and Facebook remarketing are named as third parties. Do Not Track signals are explicitly not supported. Nothing in the document grants or restricts a reuse right over the data for the end user, and nothing addresses whether customer data feeds any model training.

Hosting summary
The site does not state where customer data is hosted. The privacy policy contains only one geographical statement, a transfer clause naming Ireland, and that clause sits oddly with the rest of the document, which describes a Swedish publisher and elsewhere names the company under its former name with an English company suffix. It reads as unedited boilerplate, so no hosting fact has been drawn from it. What can be observed is infrastructure rather than a declaration: the public website is served from Denmark by a Danish hosting provider, and the customer application runs on Microsoft Azure. Neither of those is a statement by the publisher about where customer data resides, and the hosting of a marketing site says nothing about the platform behind it. The policy does acknowledge that information may be transferred outside the user's own jurisdiction, and commits to taking reasonable steps to keep it secure, without naming a country or a safeguard mechanism. Buyers with a data residency requirement will need to obtain this in writing.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting SpiderAds.
- Fully automated advert generation means brand-sensitive material can go live without a human reading it; the selection criteria set at onboarding are the only editorial control
- Because adverts are rebuilt from the website, an error or an unfortunate wording on a product page propagates straight into paid media across every channel
- Buying without a published price makes cost comparison impossible and leaves the customer dependent on a negotiation they cannot benchmark
- AutoAds Always On involves a contract period, so a decision taken quickly can bind an organisation for longer than the trial of the idea warrants
- The absence of a published data processing agreement, subprocessor list and security certification shifts the compliance burden entirely onto the customer's own due diligence
- The privacy policy names a former company name and an unrelated transfer jurisdiction, so any contractual fact drawn from it should be confirmed in writing before being relied upon
- Handing local advertising to an automated system can erode the in-house skill of writing and targeting campaigns, leaving the organisation less able to judge the results it is shown
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low for the customer, because almost all of the work sits with the vendor. Nothing is installed: the stated requirement is a computer able to run a modern browser. Setup consists of agreeing which content should become adverts and having the brand template built, after which the system synchronises with the website itself. The vendor quotes under fourteen days to go live and handles advertising platform changes without customer involvement. Connecting a CRM or other marketing tools is possible but scoped case by case. The Integration+ and White Label routes are the exception and require real engineering work on the partner's side.

Should you pick SpiderAds?
SpiderAds is a mature, working product rather than a launch announcement. The Swedish company behind it has been registered since 2014, has run advertising for the grocery chain ICA since 2019, and lists customers that can be checked, including several Swedish public authorities. The proposition is narrow and coherent: if your offers, listings or vacancies already live on your own website, the system will turn them into adverts and keep them current without anyone rebuilding each campaign by hand. The three delivery routes are its real differentiator, since a software vendor can embed the engine in its own platform or resell it under its own brand rather than merely buying advertising.
The reservations are commercial and documentary rather than technical. Nothing is priced in public, so no reader can judge whether the tool fits a budget without contacting a salesperson, and the only structural hint given is a setup fee plus fixed CPM rates. The API is offered but not documented, so its scope cannot be assessed in advance. More awkwardly, the contractual material is thin and visibly unmaintained: the privacy policy is the only legal document on the site, it still names the company under a name the register replaced in October 2024, it refers to a data transfer to Ireland that matches nothing else, and it carries no effective date. There is no data processing agreement, no subprocessor list and no security certification on offer.
For a marketing team in retail, property, motor or recruitment that wants local advertising to run itself, SpiderAds is a serious candidate worth a demonstration. For a buyer whose purchasing process starts with published prices and compliance paperwork, the groundwork will have to be done in conversation.
