AdsLibrary
AdsLibrary is a Chrome extension and web app that saves ads, reels and organic posts from Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn into one searchable swipe file, then organizes, tracks and shares them with your team.
What is AdsLibrary?
AdsLibrary is an advertising creative library: a Chrome extension paired with a web application that lets marketing teams capture, store, organize and share the ads they come across. It is built around three product blocks.
The first is the swipe file, the personal library. The extension adds a save button on nine sources: Facebook and the Facebook Ad Library, the TikTok Ad Library, TikTok Creative Center, organic TikTok, organic Instagram, YouTube, Twitter/X and the LinkedIn Ad Library. Ads, organic posts, reels and shorts can all be kept, one by one or in batches on TikTok Creative Center and TikTok result pages. Each saved item carries its media and its metadata: advertiser, number of likes, CTA type, format, category, platform, the landing page link with a screenshot of it, whether the ad is still running and how long it has been live. Creatives are then filed into folders, groups and tags, found again through AI search and filters, commented on by the team, embedded in a Notion page, or shared through a public link that needs no account. Videos and photos can also be uploaded by hand, and any web page archived as a full-page screenshot.
The second block, Discovery, is a community library refreshed daily. Its ads come from what other users have saved plus a selection made by AdsLibrary on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram, a model the publisher contrasts with the bot-built traditional advertising spy tools. Volume claims are inconsistent: the home page advertises 1M+ ads and 80k+ brands, the Discovery page states 600k+ ads.
The third block, Ad Tracker, watches competitors' Facebook advertising 24/7. Advertisers are added by name search, by pasting a link or through the extension, and the tool returns real-time, daily or weekly email reports plus charts on live ad counts, new-ad trends and format distribution.
Two free tools sit outside the subscription, a YouTube Ad Downloader and a Facebook Ad Downloader. The site interface exists in seven languages, and a permanent footer disclaimer recalls that AdsLibrary is an independent third party with no affiliation to Meta Platforms, Inc. or Facebook.
What it does
- Save any ad, organic post, reel or short in one click from nine platforms, from the Facebook Ad Library to TikTok Creative Center and the LinkedIn Ad Library
- Download the creative and its data: advertiser, likes, CTA type, format, category, platform and landing page
- Organize the swipe file into folders, groups and custom tags, then retrieve anything through AI search and ten filters
- Share one ad or a whole group through a public link that recipients open without an account
- Track competitors' Facebook ads 24/7 and receive real-time, daily or weekly email reports
- Browse the Discovery community library, refreshed daily, and save from it in one click
- Capture a full-page screenshot of any web page and archive it beside the ads
When to use AdsLibrary / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if AdsLibrary is the right fit.
When to use AdsLibrary
- Media buyers and creative strategists building a permanent, searchable bank of competitor ad creatives
- Agencies that present references to clients, since any ad or group can be opened through a public share link with no account needed
- Growth teams running competitive monitoring on Facebook, using Ad Tracker's real-time, daily or weekly email reports
- Freelancers and small teams, for whom the Basic plan is explicitly positioned as “Perfect for individuals and freelancers”
- Marketers hunting cross-platform inspiration, paid ads and organic posts alike, without switching between several tools
When not to use AdsLibrary
- Teams looking for ad generation: AdsLibrary collects, organizes and analyzes creatives, it does not produce any
- Anyone needing competitor tracking beyond Facebook, since Ad Tracker monitors Facebook advertisers only
- Developers who want the data inside their own pipeline: no public API and no developer documentation are published
- Mobile-first users: there is no iOS or Android app, and the extension runs on Chrome alone
- Organizations facing a strict GDPR review, or planning commercial reuse of the collected material: the site never mentions the GDPR, publishes no DPA, and the terms limit saved material to monitoring and learning purposes only
How to use AdsLibrary
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account on the AdsLibrary web app with an email address or a Google account, with no credit card
- Install the AdsLibrary extension from the Chrome Web Store and sign in to it
- Open a supported platform, for instance the Facebook Ad Library, and search for a brand
- Click “Save to AdsLibrary” on each ad, post, reel or short you want to keep
- On TikTok Creative Center or TikTok result pages (Top/Video), select several videos and save them in one batch
- Archive a whole page from the extension icon: open the “Screenshot” tab, choose “Screenshot and Save to AdsLibrary”, and do not scroll during the capture
- Sort the library into folders and groups you name yourself, then add tags
- Narrow it down with AI search and the filters: Duration, Group, Tag, Category, Format, Platform, Status, Ad Date, Impression and Spend
- Download the media or the ad data through “Download Ads” in the extension, or from the detail view of a saved ad
- Share an ad or an entire group with the “Share” button, and add competitors to Ad Tracker by name search, link import or through the extension, then set the email report frequency
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Broad coverage: nine source platforms in a single tool, paid ads and organic content alike
- Metadata is captured along with the creative, not just the image or the video
- Public link sharing lets a client or a colleague review creatives without creating an account
- Saved ads are kept indefinitely and stay downloadable at any time
- A genuine free tier with Discovery access, and registration without a credit card
- Low paid entry point at 19 USD per month, with a 30% discount announced on annual billing
- Site and interface available in seven languages
Cons
- No refunds at all: the pricing FAQ answers “we do not offer refunds” and the refund policy makes fees non-refundable
- No free trial of the paid plans, stated plainly in the pricing FAQ, while the refund policy contradicts it by mentioning one
- Chrome extension only: no Firefox, no Safari, no mobile application
- Ad Tracker covers Facebook advertising only
- The Basic plan tracks a single advertiser; reaching 20 requires the Advanced plan
- Minimal legal documentation: a generated privacy policy dated September 2023, with no GDPR mention, no DPA, no processor list and no hosting country
- Thin corporate identity, with no legal form, no postal address and no about page, and library claims that contradict each other (1M+ ads on the home page against 600k+ on the Discovery page)
Pricing & Plans
AdsLibrary operates on a freemium basis. A permanent free tier gives one user access to the Discovery library and to partial ad data inside the Chrome extension, but excludes the swipe file, folders and groups, tags, ad saving, library filters, downloads, screenshots and team discussion. No free trial of the paid plans is offered. The lowest paid entry point is the Basic plan at 19.00 USD per month, and the pricing page announces a 30% discount on annual billing. All fees are stated in U.S. dollars. Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or annually, and can be cancelled at any time from Account > Subscription, but fees are non-refundable. Invoices are downloadable from Account > Invoice once billing details have been entered, and the refund policy indicates that payment may be handled by a third-party processor such as Stripe or PayPal.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how AdsLibrary handles your data.
GDPR overview
No GDPR implementation is stated. The words GDPR and CCPA appear nowhere on the site, in the privacy policy or in the terms of service, so the publisher neither claims compliance nor denies it. The privacy policy is dated 1 September 2023, declares that it “has been created with the help of the Privacy Policy Generator”, and is written from a United States perspective (“Country refers to: United States”). It names no Article 27 EU representative, no data protection officer, no legal basis for processing and no list of processors, and no data processing agreement is published or offered. International transfers rest on consent alone: “Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer.” The one right described in operational terms is deletion on request to service@adslibrary.ai, handled within two business days.
Who owns the data?
The terms grant users a limited, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to the software and the platform, so AdsLibrary retains the product itself. The captured advertising is not the user's either: the terms state that “the text, images, videos and other contents shown in the software are captured by the user, and the copyright of the above text, images, videos and other contents belong to the copyright owner”. Users therefore hold a working copy, not rights. Transferring that data to others or “mirroring” it on another server is expressly forbidden. Users also authorize AdsLibrary to use their company name, trademarks and signs in its commercial promotion. Personal data stays deletable on request to service@adslibrary.ai, within two business days.
Reuse rights
AdsLibrary states that it collects email address, first and last name, and usage data such as IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, date, time and duration of visits, device identifiers and diagnostic data, together with session and persistent cookies, Flash cookies and web beacons. That material serves to provide and maintain the service, manage the account and perform the contract, contact users by email, phone, SMS or push notification, send offers about similar products unless they object, handle their requests, run data analysis and improve the service. It may be shared with service providers, affiliates, business partners, other users in the public areas of the service, and in a business transfer. Nothing in the published documents mentions AI model training on customer data. On the user's side, reuse is restricted rather than free: the terms limit the material obtained through the platform to monitoring and learning purposes, forbid other commercial use, and rule out resale, transfer to third parties and mirroring.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
AdsLibrary declares no hosting country and no hosting region. Neither the privacy policy nor the terms of service names a cloud provider, a data centre location, or a certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001. The only statement on the subject is generic: personal data is processed “at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located”. The policy adds that data may be transferred outside the user's state, province or country, to jurisdictions whose data protection laws differ, and that submitting information after accepting the policy counts as agreement to that transfer. The document defines Country as the United States, the only territorial anchor available. One infrastructure element can be observed from outside without being claimed by the publisher: the domain is served behind Cloudflare, on the anycast address 172.67.72.105, which says where traffic is fronted, not where data rests. A buyer who needs to know where their data is stored will have to ask AdsLibrary directly, because the published documentation does not answer the question.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting AdsLibrary.
- Billing works against the hesitant buyer: subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or annually, and fees are non-refundable, so cancelling stops the next renewal but returns nothing
- The contract documents contradict each other: the refund policy mentions a free trial that the pricing FAQ says does not exist
- Restricted use of what you collect: the terms allow the saved material for monitoring and learning purposes only and forbid other commercial use, while the copyright of each ad stays with its owner
- Thin data documentation: a privacy policy generated by a tool in September 2023, with no GDPR mention, no data processing agreement, no processor list and no declared hosting country
- Unverifiable publisher: no legal form, no postal address, no about page, and a single generic email address for legal, privacy and support matters
- Creative dependence: a well-stocked swipe file makes imitation the easy path, and a team that lives inside it can quietly stop testing original angles of its own
- The TikTok coupon banner on the home page is a dated TikTok partner offer reached through a partner link, not a discount granted by AdsLibrary, and the single advertiser tracked on Basic pushes any serious monitoring towards a costlier tier
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. Getting started takes the three steps advertised by the publisher: create an account with an email address or a Google account, install the Chrome extension, then start saving ads. No credit card, no API key, no code and no configuration are involved. The only real requirement is a browser that accepts Chrome Web Store extensions. Advanced use, meaning folders, groups, tags, filters and Ad Tracker, is set up inside the web interface and needs no technical skill either. A marketer with no engineering support can be productive within minutes.

Should you pick AdsLibrary?
AdsLibrary does one thing well: it turns scattered advertising inspiration into a single searchable, shareable library. Platform coverage is its strongest argument, with nine sources, paid ads and organic posts alike, saved with their metadata rather than as bare screenshots. The public share link, which lets a client open a group of creatives without an account, removes real friction from agency work. At 19 USD per month the Basic plan is a fair entry point for a freelancer or a small team, and the permanent free tier makes it possible to judge Discovery before paying anything.
That free tier matters more than usual here, because it is the only way to evaluate the product: there is no trial of the paid plans, and the publisher states in plain words that it does not offer refunds. Anyone subscribing should treat the first payment as final and cancel before renewal if the tool does not fit.
Two limits deserve to be checked against your own use case. Ad Tracker, the competitive monitoring block, watches Facebook advertisers only, so buying AdsLibrary to follow TikTok or LinkedIn campaigns would be a mistake. And the terms restrict the collected material to monitoring and learning purposes, the copyright of every saved ad staying with its owner.
The weakest part of the file is transparency: no legal form, no postal address, no about page, a single generic email address, and a privacy policy dated September 2023 that says it was produced with a policy generator. It never mentions the GDPR, offers no data processing agreement and names no hosting country. A European organization with a compliance review to pass will have to raise these points before adopting the tool; a solo marketer building a swipe file will care far less.
