aGIS is a Spanish geospatial intelligence platform that combines GIS, artificial intelligence and IoT telemetry. Three shared-platform instances cover telecom networks, farming and smart-city assets, with an MCP endpoint that lets AI assistants query live map data.
What is aGIS?
aGIS is a geospatial intelligence platform published by Stratos Global Solutions, S.L., a Spanish company based in Tomares, near Seville. Its stated ambition is to move beyond cartography: the homepage claims that aGIS does not draw the territory but interprets it, turning a network, a farm, a city or an infrastructure estate into analysis, planning and decisions.
The product rests on three declared pillars. GIS handles the rendering of very large volumes of spatial data on an interactive map, with digitisation and design of networks. IoT brings live telemetry through named connectors: LoRaWAN, ChirpStack, Tuya Smart, cameras and SensorThings, plus GPS tracking and weather feeds. AI runs across the whole system, with geographic agents that converse with the map, assisted network design, alerts and prediction over the user's own layers.
The AI claim that stands out is the Model Context Protocol endpoint. The vendor states that aGIS exposes a customer's infrastructure through MCP so that Claude or other models can query inventory, telemetry and geometry in natural language, without SQL and without intermediate dashboards. Activating that endpoint is presented as step four of a five-step onboarding path.
One account opens three instances that share the same platform. aGIS TELCO covers GIS management of telecommunications networks, with FTTH inventory and network logic. aGIS AGRO covers agricultural GIS, with parcels, SIGPAC records and farm holdings. aGIS SPHERE covers urban asset management and smart city work. Each instance is subscribed separately, and from the PRO tier upwards two or more instances can be combined and worked on together.
Alongside the paid product, the vendor publishes aGIS Open Geodata, a free and open repository of 75 geographic data sources grouped into thematic presets, drawing on Natural Earth, the Spanish cadastre, Copernicus land cover, EMODnet marine layers, EFFIS fire detections, seismic catalogues and air-quality models.

GDPR overview
The vendor publishes a Spanish-law legal notice and a privacy policy, both naming Stratos Global Solutions, S.L. as controller, with tax number B72492994, a postal address in Tomares (Seville) and info@stratosgs.com as the contact point. A section headed Declaracion de cumplimiento normativo states that security measures follow Regulation 2016/679. Concrete provisions are present: the full set of GDPR rights with an exercise route by email or post, notification of breaches to the Spanish supervisory authority within 72 hours, a list of technical and organisational measures, and a stated minimum age of 18. Two limits matter. The document describes the corporate website, not the platform, although the subscription agreement designates it as the application's privacy policy. And it still invokes the Privacy Shield, a framework invalidated in 2020.
Who owns the data?
The subscription agreement leaves customer content with the customer. Clause 5.5 states, in Spanish, that control of all information hosted in the application belongs exclusively to the client, who is solely responsible for its legality, suitability and accuracy, and who warrants ownership of the intellectual property rights in that content. Ownership of the software itself runs the other way: clause 6.1 reserves all intellectual property rights in the application to Stratos, and the licence granted is non-exclusive and non-transferable. One caveat deserves attention. Clause 9.8 invokes Article 28(3) of the GDPR, which governs processors, yet names Stratos as the controller in the same sentence. The two qualifications are incompatible in a SaaS arrangement, and the point should be clarified before signing.
Reuse rights
The agreement does not grant Stratos any right to reuse or exploit customer content. It frames the relationship as access to data on behalf of the data controller rather than a transfer, and commits the parties, where applicable, to conclude a separate data-processing agreement. On the customer side, the licence is a right of use only. Clause 5.4(d) forbids using the application to provide services to any third party, whether for a fee or otherwise, so reselling or white-labelling the platform is not permitted. Clause 7.11 also reserves an audit right over how the customer and its end users access the contracted services. The privacy policy published by the vendor describes only website processing: newsletters, contact forms, blog comments, social channels and analytics. It never addresses what happens to the geographic data held in the platform. Nothing anywhere on the site states whether customer data is used to train AI models.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
The vendor makes no hosting declaration for the platform. Neither the plans page, the homepage, the subscription agreement nor the privacy policy states where customer data is stored. The closest statement appears in the privacy policy and concerns third-party tools used on the corporate website: the company says it tries to use secure tools whose servers are preferably in Spain, or failing that in a European Union member state, or that otherwise comply with European law. That is a preference, not a commitment, and it is expressed about the website rather than the application. The same section still refers to the Privacy Shield, a transfer framework invalidated in 2020. The subscription agreement adds that if providers located in third countries are engaged, the required safeguards will be applied, with details available on request. Governing law is Spanish and jurisdiction lies with the courts of Seville, which anchors the contractual relationship in the European Union even though the physical hosting location is left unstated. Buyers with a data residency requirement should ask for it in writing.
