The rewriting side is called AI Eraser. GDPR overview
GDPR is addressed explicitly, but only in part. The privacy policy carries a dedicated section stating that EU GDPR and UK law require a legal basis, and it names four: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with a legal obligation. Region-specific rights are promised, with correction through account settings, marketing opt-out by unsubscribing, and deletion from the account page. What is missing matters as much. No Article 27 representative for the European Union is designated, no data protection officer is named, and the only channel is a shared mailbox. All data is transferred to and stored in the United States, with no transfer mechanism such as standard contractual clauses described anywhere. The text has not been revised since 10 July 2023.
Who owns the data?
The privacy policy, in force since 10 July 2023, treats everything you paste or upload as user content that remains yours: AI Detector Pro stores it to run the service and claims no ownership over it. The publisher states three separate times that it does not sell personal data. Documents stay in your account until you delete them or close the account, and a delete-account item on the account page purges them. The real caveat is who else reads the text: running a scan means passing it through AI models, some of them operated by third parties that the policy never names.
Reuse rights
The terms place no restriction on reusing what comes out of the tool. The privacy policy claims no intellectual property over the text you submit, so scan reports and humanized rewrites can be published, submitted or sold without asking permission.
