Behind it stands Diffuse B.V., a Dutch creative development agency based in Haarlem and registered under KvK number 37128671. The domain was registered on 2 February 2023 and first archived a day later.

Diffuse B.V. is established in Haarlem, in the Netherlands, so the GDPR applies to it as a matter of law. The site itself, however, makes no GDPR claim at all: searching the archived pages for "GDPR" or "AVG" returns nothing on ai-ghostwriter.com. There is no privacy policy for the plugin, no data protection officer, no DPA offered and no subprocessor list. No Article 27 representative is named, which is expected since the publisher sits inside the Union. Diffuse does publish a privacy statement for its separate Diffuse Tools platform, last modified on 22 June 2021, which sets out access, rectification and erasure rights and points users to the Dutch supervisory authority.
