Aira

Aira is an AI front-office platform for service businesses. Its AI receptionist answers calls 24/7, screens callers, books appointments and routes urgent calls, while separate agents run the website, search visibility and Google Ads campaigns.

Overview

What is Aira?

Aira sells what it calls an AI workforce for the front office: several AI agents that share out the work of a department, rather than a single chatbot. The flagship is an AI receptionist that picks up inbound calls around the clock, in under a second according to the homepage. Five roles hand off within one call. A receptionist agent answers in the brand's voice, an intake agent captures contact details, the reason for the call and the best callback time, a qualification agent screens with the customer's own questions, a scheduler agent texts a booking link, and a direct transfer reaches a human when the caller needs one.

The pitch rests on numbers Aira repeats throughout the site: 62% of a small business's calls go unanswered, each missed call is worth $200 to $1,000, and roughly $126,000 a year walks away. The company claims 2.4 million calls handled and 148,000 hours saved.

Setup is presented as three steps in about ten minutes. You paste your website address and Aira reads your services, hours, FAQs and tone of voice. You describe how calls should be handled, setting intake questions, routing rules and follow-up preferences. You forward your existing number, which you keep. Every call then produces a summary sent by text and email, with a recording and a full transcript, and the data flows into a CRM, calendar or inbox through Zapier. Spam filtering cuts robocalls and telemarketers in the first seconds, and every call is transcribed, tagged and made searchable for analytics.

Three further agents extend the offer beyond the phone. Lead Conversion plans, writes, builds, hosts and maintains a conversion-focused website, with instant text follow-up and automated review requests. AI Search researches high-intent queries and publishes service, location, comparison and article pages with internal linking and structured data. Paid Campaigns sets up and runs Google Ads, including landing pages and conversion tracking, live in seven to ten days.

The publisher, Aira Inc., gives a 2026 copyright and a single email address. It publishes no postal address, no about page, no team page and no named executive.

  • Answer every inbound call around the clock, in under a second according to the homepage
  • Capture caller details, the reason for the call and the best callback time through custom intake questions
  • Answer routine questions from a knowledge base learned automatically from the customer's own website
  • Text a booking link during the call so the caller schedules on the spot

  • Filter robocalls and telemarketers out in the first seconds of the call
  • Push summaries, recordings and transcripts into the CRM, calendar or inbox through Zapier

When to use Aira / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Aira is the right fit.

When to use Aira

  • Owners of small service businesses whose phone is the main sales channel and whose staff are already busy with customers on site
  • Trades that cannot pick up while working, such as HVAC, roofing, plumbing, electrical and auto repair, all quoted in the site's own testimonials
  • Law firms and legal practices with heavy inbound intake, matched by integrations with Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, Lawmatics, Filevine and CasePeer
  • Dental, medical and therapy practices that need after-hours coverage and structured caller intake without hiring a second front-desk person
  • Real estate agencies and property managers, both of which have dedicated industry pages on the site

When not to use Aira

  • Engineering teams that need a public API: no developer documentation exists and every integration is routed through Zapier
  • Organisations under European data protection rules, since no GDPR mention, data processing agreement, subprocessor list or Article 27 representative is published anywhere on the site
  • Buyers who must know where their data is stored, as the privacy policy only asks for blanket consent to international transfers without naming a single country
  • Outbound prospecting teams, because the terms restrict calls to people who gave prior express consent or have an established business relationship, and forbid masking caller ID
  • Businesses looking for chat, ticketing or inbound email support, none of which Aira covers: the product is built around the inbound telephone line

How to use Aira

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Create an account at app.getaira.io/sign-up; there is no free plan or trial, so a paid plan is chosen at this point
  2. Paste your website address so Aira can read your services, opening hours, FAQs and tone of voice automatically
  3. Review and complete the knowledge base, adding by hand anything the site does not say, such as pricing, licence numbers or service areas
  4. Write the custom intake questions you want asked on every call, for instance name, email, case type and best callback time
  5. Set the routing rules that decide which calls transfer to which person, and which callers are screened first
  6. Choose a voice and preview it before going live
  7. Set follow-up preferences, deciding whether summaries arrive by text, email or both
  8. Forward your existing number to Aira from your phone settings or through your carrier, or take the free number included in the plan
  9. Connect your CRM, calendar or team chat through Zapier, using the guided setup included in every plan
  10. Monitor recordings, transcripts, summaries and call analytics from the dashboard, where the subscription can also be cancelled month to month

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Very low entry price for the category at $24.95 a month, against the $400 answering service and $3,000 full-time receptionist the site uses as benchmarks
  • Every call feature is included on all four plans; only the call allowance, the overage rate and support priority change
  • Billing is per completed call rather than per minute, so a twelve-minute booking costs the same as a thirty-second message
  • Fast, engineering-free rollout in about ten minutes, keeping the existing phone number
  • Systematic recording, transcription and summary of every call, delivered by text and email and pushed into the CRM
  • Configurable escalation to a human, where many voice bots stay in a closed loop, plus spam filtering that customers single out
  • No lock-in: month-to-month, cancellation from the dashboard, 20% off annual billing, and future features included

Cons

  • No public API or developer documentation; every integration depends on Zapier, which adds a third-party account and cost
  • Nothing about GDPR, no data processing agreement, no subprocessor list and no Article 27 representative anywhere on the site
  • No data hosting country or region disclosed, only a blanket consent clause covering international transfers
  • No documented way to keep customer data out of model training; the no-training commitment covers Google Workspace API data only
  • Marketing figures contradict each other across pages: 31, 33 or 70+ languages, and 54, 200+, 1,000+ or 7,000+ integrations
  • The company is barely documented: no postal address, no team page, no named executive, and a domain registered in September 2025 behind a privacy service
  • No free plan and no free trial, and calls beyond the plan allowance are billed individually, at $1.50 each on the entry plan

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Aira handles your data.

GDPR overview

There is no GDPR implementation to report. Across the thirteen pages collected, including the full terms of service and the privacy policy both dated 1 January 2025, the words GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation, CCPA and data protection officer do not appear once. No data processing agreement is published or offered, no subprocessor list exists, and no Article 27 representative for the European Union is named. The rights section of the privacy policy covers only account updates, marketing unsubscribes, replying STOP to text messages and browser cookie settings, and none of the European access, rectification, erasure or portability rights. International transfers rest on a single consent clause stating that data may be processed in other countries, with no country named and no transfer safeguard cited. The compliance framework Aira does invoke is entirely American: FCC rules, state telemarketing and call-recording laws, and United States governing law.

Who owns the data?

Aira's terms leave call recordings, transcripts and messages with the customer, who is described as solely responsible for that User Content. Submitting it, however, grants Aira a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, publish, distribute and sublicense it as necessary to operate and improve the service. The sublicensing right means unnamed third parties may be involved. The platform's own software, code, designs and materials remain Aira's property, and any feedback a customer sends may be reused without restriction or compensation. If an account is terminated, the customer may lose access to their User Content, and Aira states it bears no liability for that loss.

Reuse rights

The terms treat call recordings, transcripts, summaries and caller details as the customer's own User Content, so a customer may reuse them without asking Aira: review them in the dashboard, export them into a CRM, calendar or inbox through Zapier, and act on them commercially. Aira states plainly that it does not control how customers use those recordings. The constraint is legal rather than contractual. Recording is on by default, American states differ on whether one party or every party must consent, and the terms place the whole burden of complying with recording law on the customer, with no warranty from Aira. Contact details captured on a call may only be used to reach people who gave prior express consent or with whom an established business relationship exists, and evidence of that consent may be demanded. By contrast the platform's own software, designs and materials may not be reproduced, modified, distributed or resold.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Aira gives no retention period at all. The privacy policy states only that information is kept for as long as necessary to provide the service, fulfil the purposes described in the policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements, and that periods vary with the nature of the information and applicable law. No figure is given for any category of data, including call recordings and transcripts. No deletion-on-request procedure is described; the rights section covers only viewing and updating account information. Recordings and transcripts fall under the User Content that the terms license to Aira perpetually and irrevocably, and terminating an account may cost the customer access to that content. The one firm commitment is that personal information inadvertently collected from a minor will be deleted promptly.
Trains on customer data
Unclear

Hosting summary

Aira discloses nothing about where customer data is hosted. No country and no region are named anywhere on the site, and there is no trust or security page. The privacy policy handles the question with a single consent clause: information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the user's own, and by using the service the user consents to that transfer, including to countries whose data protection laws differ. No transfer safeguard, adequacy decision or standard contractual clause is mentioned. Hosting is listed among the activities carried out by third-party service providers, but not one of them is named, and no subprocessor list exists. Security is described only as reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, with the caveat that no measure is completely infallible; no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or comparable certification is displayed. As a technical indication that concerns the website and not customer data, the domain resolves to an American address on Amazon infrastructure, but that says nothing about where call recordings are stored.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Aira.

  • Submitting call recordings and transcripts grants Aira a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable and sublicensable licence over them, so content you consider private can be reproduced and passed on to unnamed third parties
  • Total liability is capped at one hundred dollars, and Aira may suspend or terminate access at any time and for any reason, with possible loss of access to your recordings and transcripts
  • Recording is on by default while the entire legal burden of consent sits with you; in two-party consent states an unannounced recording can expose you personally, not the vendor
  • Nothing is published about GDPR, a data processing agreement, subprocessors or the hosting country, and the only no-training commitment covers Google Workspace data alone, so callers' voices may be used in ways you cannot check
  • Letting an agent answer, screen and qualify every caller removes the informal knowledge a human receptionist builds up, and the team gradually loses the feel for who calls and why
  • Trusting a summary instead of listening to the call is comfortable and quietly erodes judgement, especially when a nuance, a hesitation or an angry tone never reaches the summary
  • Marketing figures that disagree between pages, an anonymous publisher and a domain registered in September 2025 are reasons to verify claims yourself before routing your main business line
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Very low. Setup is three steps in roughly ten minutes and requires no technical skill: paste your website address, describe how calls should be handled, and forward your number. The only step outside Aira's own interface is the call forwarding itself, set in your phone settings or with your carrier. Integrations need no development but do run through Zapier, which assumes a Zapier account on your side. Guided setup and help connecting existing tools are included on every plan. Paid Campaigns is the exception, with campaigns going live in seven to ten days.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to get Aira answering calls?
Aira advertises ten minutes from sign-up to the first answered call. You paste your website address so it can learn your services, hours and FAQs, choose a voice, and forward your existing number. Guided setup and help connecting your existing tools are included on every plan.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your existing number and Aira works through call forwarding, set up either in your phone settings or with your carrier. A free phone number is also included on every plan if you would rather take a new one.
Is there a free plan or a free trial?
No. The pricing page shows four paid plans starting at USD 24.95 a month and no free tier. No free trial, promotional code or money-back guarantee is mentioned anywhere on the site. Billing is month to month and can be cancelled from the dashboard.
How are long calls billed?
Per completed call rather than per minute. Aira states that a thirty-second message and a twelve-minute booking each count as one handled call. Calls beyond the plan allowance are charged individually, from USD 1.50 each on Starter down to USD 0.70 on Scale.
How many languages does Aira support?
The site gives three different figures: 31 languages on the pricing page, 33 in the features page metadata and 70+ on the homepage. Only two interface languages can actually be verified, English and Spanish, since the site itself is published in those two.
Does Aira offer an API?
No API documentation was found anywhere on the site. Every integration is described as running through Zapier, which connects 54 named applications including Salesforce, HubSpot, Clio, ServiceTitan, QuickBooks, Google Calendar, Slack and Stripe.
Are calls recorded, and who is responsible for consent?
Calls may be recorded by default under the terms of service. Aira states it does not know where callers are located, that American states differ on one-party and two-party consent, and that complying with applicable recording-consent law is entirely the customer's responsibility.
Is Aira GDPR compliant?
The GDPR is never mentioned on the site. No data processing agreement is published, no subprocessor list exists, no Article 27 representative is named, and no data hosting country is disclosed. The legal framework cited is American, under United States governing law.
Is the Google Ads budget included in the Paid Campaigns fee?
No. Aira states that advertising spend is separate and paid directly to Google, so the customer keeps control of the amount invested. The Google Ads account and the customer relationships also remain the customer's property.
Who is behind Aira?
The terms of service name Aira Inc., and the footer carries a 2026 copyright. The site publishes no postal address, no about page, no team page and no named executive, and lists a single email address, hey@getaira.io, for support, legal and privacy questions alike.
Conclusion

Should you pick Aira?

Aira makes a narrow, clearly stated promise: catch the inbound calls a small service business cannot answer, at a fraction of the cost of a front-desk hire. On that promise the offer is coherent. The entry plan is $24.95 a month against the $400 answering service and $3,000 receptionist the site itself uses as benchmarks, billing is per completed call rather than per minute, every feature is included on every plan, and rollout takes minutes rather than weeks while the business keeps its existing number. Recording, transcription, summary and CRM handoff on every call are genuinely useful, and the ability to escalate to a human by rule is what separates Aira from a closed-loop voice bot.

The reservations are documentary and legal rather than functional. The terms take a perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable licence over call recordings and transcripts, cap Aira's total liability at $100, and allow suspension at any time for any reason with possible loss of access to that content. Recording is on by default while consent compliance sits entirely with the customer. Nothing is published about the GDPR, a data processing agreement, subprocessors or the country where data is stored, and no security certification is displayed. The company itself is close to anonymous: no address, no team page, no named executive, and a domain registered in September 2025 behind a privacy service. Promotional figures also contradict each other from page to page, on both languages supported and integrations available.

For an American service business that wants its phone answered tomorrow and is comfortable with a young, lightly documented vendor, Aira is an inexpensive and well-scoped option. For a European buyer, or for anyone with a procurement checklist, the missing paperwork is the deciding issue.
