What is Albato?
Albato is a no-code integration platform as a service published by Albato Limited. It sells two products on one platform: a self-serve automation tool for individuals and teams, and Albato Embedded, a white-label version that SaaS vendors drop into their own interface. Both rest on the same library of 1,000+ maintained connectors and more than 20,000 actions, spread across some fifty application categories that run from CRM and ERP to telephony, analytics, e-commerce, accounting, learning platforms and databases.
Three layers make up the platform. A workflow engine handles retries, idempotency and scheduling. An agentic layer, exposed as an MCP server, lets a language model call any of those connectors as a tool. A set of embeddable interface components carries the whole thing into someone else's product.
The copilot is the entry point most users meet first: describe what should happen and it asks the follow-up questions, maps the fields, proposes the logic and fixes errors, in whatever language you type. AI agents go one step further. An agent is an action step driven by a model of your choice — OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek or Albato's built-in AI, with Anthropic, Bedrock, Azure and self-hosted models available on the embedded side. You give it a user message, system instructions and guardrails, then attach tools that are simply actions from the connector library. Agent Fields lock critical values such as email addresses, amounts or deal stages so the agent only touches what you allow, and it never sees your credentials.
Around that sit twenty-odd processing tools — an IF-ELSE router, filters, JSON parsing, date and maths operations, historical data migration, automatic replay of failed records — plus an App Integrator for building your own connectors and shareable Solutions templates. Billing counts transactions, meaning action steps that ran successfully after the trigger; triggers themselves are free. The company reports 500,000+ active users, 100+ employees and 300 million tasks a month.

GDPR overview
GDPR compliance is claimed explicitly and backed by documents rather than a slogan. A Data Processing Agreement is published as an appendix to the licence agreement and binds without a separate signature; a signed copy can be requested from support@albato.com. That agreement is governed by Cypriot law and names the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection as competent supervisory authority. Access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability and withdrawal of consent are all covered, exercised by email or through the in-account support chat once identity is verified. Personal data is processed in the EEA and the United States under standard contractual clauses, with AWS, certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as the sole international recipient. No Article 27 representative is named: the company is itself established in the EU.
Who owns the data?
For anything flowing through your automations you remain the controller and Albato acts only as processor, handling that data on your documented instructions alone. The automation log exists purely as a backup so that failed transfers can be resent, and the vendor states it never uses or analyses what passes through the platform. When the contract ends, your data is deleted or returned at your direction unless a law requires it to be kept. Albato does retain aggregated, anonymised statistics about how the service is used. For website, prospect and billing records the controller is Albato Ltd in Cyprus, and the usual GDPR rights apply to them.
Reuse rights
Customer data stays yours and can be reused freely: Albato moves it rather than claiming any licence over it, and the licence agreement states plainly that the platform does not process your data beyond transporting it. Third-party credentials are held encrypted with AES-256 and are never handed to the AI model, which receives instructions and tools rather than access. The automation log keeps a copy for up to sixty days so that failed transfers can be replayed, and that recording can be switched off in the account settings at any time, with the trade-off that resending data then stops working. Only aggregated, anonymised usage statistics remain in Albato's hands.

The whole infrastructure runs on Amazon Web Services, deployed across two availability zones for resilience. Storage sits in the United States by default; EU, UK or Canadian data residency is offered on request to embedded customers, and self-hosting in a private cloud or on premises is available on the embedded Enterprise plan. The privacy policy states that personal data is processed in the EEA and in the United States, and the transfer impact assessment identifies AWS as the only international recipient, certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and complemented by standard contractual clauses. The hosting environment is reachable only through a VPN on the private network, never directly from the public internet, and only authorised staff may read the logs. Database backups are encrypted and the decryption keys are held on a separate, standalone server. Data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.2 or 1.3 in transit.

- Automating a routine well can quietly erase the team's memory of how it worked; keep at least one person able to run the process manually
- Three different legal entities, in Cyprus, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates, may be your counterparty depending on the invoice, which affects which law governs your contract

Albato occupies a clear position: a cheaper, more accessible alternative to the established integration platforms, with an AI agent layer built into the same product rather than bolted on. The connector library is broad, the copilot genuinely lowers the barrier for people who do not write code, and the decision to bill only successful action steps while leaving triggers free is unusually favourable to the customer. For SaaS vendors, publishing a public entry price for a white-label embedded platform is rarer still, and the five-week onboarding path with a dedicated team is spelled out rather than promised vaguely.
The compliance groundwork is stronger than the price suggests: SOC 2 Type 2 audited every year, a published Data Processing Agreement, encryption at rest and in transit, third-party penetration testing, and an explicit commitment that data passing through the platform is never analysed. Automation logs disappear after sixty days and can be turned off altogether.
