Overview

What is Amplemarket?

Amplemarket is a B2B sales platform published by Tagis Inc. and launched at the end of 2019 by João Batalha, Luís Batalha and Micael Oliveira. It brings into one product what outbound teams usually assemble from four or five separate tools: a contact database, an intent-signal engine, a multichannel sequencer and a deliverability toolkit.

The centrepiece is Duo, an AI copilot that runs on its own every twenty-four hours. There is no prompt to write and no agent to trigger. Duo scans the market, picks out the people worth contacting, and ranks them by the signal that justifies the approach: a champion who has changed jobs, a closed-lost prospect back in the market, a critical review left on a competitor, a message posted in a Slack community, a visit to your website, or a custom signal pushed from your own CRM. For each one it shows the full context before any outreach, then proposes a ready-written multichannel sequence tailored to that person and that trigger. The rep approves or dismisses, and every decision feeds the next day's selection.

Duo learns the business at sign-up by reading the company website, the open web and the CRM, then builds a shared library for the whole team covering competitors, target personas, case studies, value propositions and objection handling. Its siblings extend the same logic: Duo Copywriter for first touches, Duo Inbox for drafted replies, and Duo Voice for voice notes cloned from the rep's own voice.

Around this sit the data layer, with Searcher, intent signals, job-change alerts, competitive intelligence, social prospecting, enrichment and email validation, and the deliverability layer, with domain health monitoring, warmup, mailbox recommendation and spam checking. Published figures claim 35+ data sources, 200 million business profiles, 20 million companies and a bounce rate under 3%.

Access is through the web, a Chrome extension for LinkedIn work, a REST API, webhooks and 28+ native integrations including Salesforce, HubSpot and an MCP bridge to ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor. Gartner named the company a Cool Vendor in Generative AI for Sales.

What it does

When to use Amplemarket / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Amplemarket is the right fit.

When to use Amplemarket

  • SDR, BDR and account executive teams running multichannel outbound at scale
  • Sales organisations wanting to collapse several tools into one platform, as several published customers did after leaving Apollo, Outreach, ZoomInfo or Salesloft
  • Teams whose cold email suffers from bounces and spam placement, thanks to the built-in warmup, mailbox rotation and inbox placement testing
  • Founders running founder-led sales, targeted by the two-seat Startup plan
  • RevOps and sales operations leads instrumenting the whole revenue funnel with CRM-synced signals and analytics

When not to use Amplemarket

  • Small budgets: there is no free plan and entry costs USD 600 per month on an annual term for two seats
  • Anyone selling to consumers, since the terms restrict use to business relationships and exclude consumer-oriented offers
  • Organisations handling sensitive, health or Gramm-Leach-Bliley financial data, which the terms forbid submitting
  • Teams needing a mobile app, as the product ships only as a web app and a Chrome extension
  • Buyers who want a public price for every tier, since the two upper plans are quoted on request only

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  3. Let Duo read your website, the open web and your CRM so it learns your offer, competitors and target personas
  4. Connect your mailboxes, whether Gmail and Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Outlook, or your own SMTP
  5. Sync Salesforce or HubSpot two ways, and set up field mapping and exclusion lists
  6. Warm up your domains and mailboxes, then check placement with the spam checker before sending at volume
  7. Choose the buying signals that matter to you, adding custom ones from your CRM or through the API
  8. Review the daily list Duo produces, open a signal and read the context it has gathered
  9. Approve, adjust or dismiss the multichannel sequence Duo has drafted for that prospect
  10. Handle replies in the Unibox, then track results in analytics and refine from what Duo learns

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Genuine consolidation: published customers replaced Apollo, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, Cognism and others, one reporting a 56% cut in tooling costs
  • Deliverability is treated as a first-class product, not an afterthought, with warmup, mailbox rotation and placement testing
  • Signals are numerous and actionable, including custom ones pushed from the customer's own CRM
  • Duo works without prompting, delivering a ranked list every twenty-four hours and learning from each decision
  • Serious security posture: SOC 2 Type II, annual third-party penetration tests and a public trust portal
  • Fast to adopt, with integrations announced in under five minutes and a customer reporting proficiency in about a week
  • Published customer outcomes are specific, from 78%+ open rates to 9x return on signals

Cons

  • No free plan, and an entry point of USD 600 per month on an annual term for only two seats
  • Two of the three plans are quoted on request, so most of the pricing is not public
  • The licence taken on customer content is very broad: worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable and sublicensable
  • Submitted content is used to verify and expand the directory resold to other customers, with no documented way to opt out of that use
  • Hosting is United States only, with no European data residency option, and personal data is kept at least five years
  • No subprocessor list is published, and no support email address is exposed anywhere on the site
  • No mobile app, and the interface is English only

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Amplemarket handles your data.

GDPR overview

GDPR implementation is concrete and documented. Amplemarket publishes a dedicated GDPR page and a separate CCPA page, and bases its prospecting on legitimate interest rather than consent. It designates itself a controller, participates in the EU-US, UK and Swiss Data Privacy Frameworks under Department of Commerce certification with FTC oversight, and falls back on the 2021/914 Standard Contractual Clauses plus the UK Addendum where no adequacy decision applies. A Data Processing Addendum is published and incorporated into the terms, and a European representative is named in the privacy policy. Data subject requests are answered, and customers get geo-fencing and uploadable exclusion lists, with opt-out prospects added automatically. Notably, the vendor states it obtains no notices or consents on the customer's behalf, and concedes it may qualify as a data broker under the CCPA.

Who owns the data?

The terms split ownership in two. Customers keep full ownership of the Customer Submitted Content they upload. Amplemarket keeps ownership of system performance data, its machine learning algorithms and the aggregated results of that learning, and claims exclusive ownership of Usage Data, meaning everything collected or inferred while delivering the service, including deliverability data. In exchange, the customer grants Amplemarket a worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, perpetual and royalty-free licence to host, process, analyse and improve on that content, with the right to sublicense, assign or transfer it. Feedback given to the vendor may be exploited without restriction or compensation.

Reuse rights

Amplemarket may use submitted content to improve its service, explicitly including verifying and expanding the Service Output Data in its Information Directory, that is, the database served to other customers. It may host, copy, transfer and analyse that content with machine learning, and may publish or distribute it in aggregated, de-identified form for any purpose. It commits not to name the customer publicly or associate them with the content. On the customer side, reuse is deliberately fenced: prospect data may only be processed within a defined Business Scope, for business relationships relevant to the person's professional role, never for consumer-oriented or purely personal messaging. Any use beyond that scope requires an existing direct relationship or proper consent. The customer, not Amplemarket, carries the duty to issue notices and obtain consents.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Amplemarket keeps customer personal information for as long as the written agreement provides, and then for a minimum of five years under its customer retention policy. Users may ask for deletion, but the vendor reserves the right to keep whatever it needs to meet legal obligations, including financial reporting. Two things outlast the contract: usage data, which the vendor owns outright and may keep using, and the licence on submitted content, which is perpetual and irrevocable. Aggregated and de-identified data may be used or shared without time limit. No separate retention period is published for the prospect records held in the database. Requests go to privacy@amplemarket.com or to the privacy office in San Francisco.

Hosting summary

Amplemarket hosts its application on Google Cloud Platform, in containers running on managed services, so it states it does not operate servers or compute instances in production itself. Its GDPR page says services are hosted in United States data centres, under data protection agreements with its vendors, and the terms confirm that transfers from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland go to systems hosted in the United States. Those transfers are governed by the Data Privacy Framework and, where no adequacy decision applies, by the 2021/914 Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, with encryption keys managed through Cloud Key Management and hardware security modules. Security is audited annually against SOC 2 Type II, with third-party penetration testing, GitHub Advanced Security scanning and SonarQube analysis. Internal access is role-restricted and reviewed twice a year. No European data residency option is mentioned anywhere on the site.

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Amplemarket.

  • The licence granted on your content is worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable and sublicensable, and it survives the end of the contract, so anything uploaded is effectively given away for good
  • What your team submits helps verify and expand the directory sold to other customers, competitors included, and no documented setting lets you exclude it
  • Usage data belongs exclusively to the vendor, during and after the contract, which limits what you can take with you if you leave
  • Personal data is kept for a minimum of five years, and hosting is United States only, which may not fit a European data protection posture
  • The terms push the compliance burden onto you: the vendor states it obtains no notices or consents on your behalf, and identity resolution may count as a sale of personal data in some jurisdictions
  • Volume-driven prospecting makes it easy to mistake activity for relevance; the platform's own GDPR page argues that legitimate interest only holds when outreach is genuinely useful to the recipient
  • Leaning on AI to research prospects and write every first touch can erode the reps' own listening and writing skills, and cloned voice notes raise an honesty question with the person receiving them
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Low to moderate, but not instant. There is no self-service sign-up: access goes through a form and a conversation with a product specialist. Native integrations are announced at under five minutes, and Duo configures itself by reading your website, the web and your CRM. The real work is operational rather than technical: connecting mailboxes, warming up domains, setting rotation and mapping CRM fields. One customer reports about a week of daily use to become proficient. No coding is needed for everyday work; the API and webhooks serve advanced needs only.

Conclusion

Should you pick Amplemarket?

Amplemarket is one of the more complete outbound platforms on the market, and its pitch is consolidation rather than yet another point tool. The combination it offers is genuinely rare: a large B2B database, an intent-signal engine, a multichannel sequencer and a deliverability suite that most competitors leave to third parties. Its real differentiator is Duo, a copilot that works continuously without being prompted and hands each rep a ranked, contextualised list every morning, then drafts the outreach that goes with it. The published customer stories are unusually specific, and the security posture, with SOC 2 Type II and annual penetration testing, is solid.

The counterparts are just as clear. The entry ticket is high at USD 600 per month on an annual term for two seats, there is no free plan, and two of the three tiers are quoted on request, which makes budgeting difficult before a sales conversation. The contractual terms deserve a careful read: the licence granted on customer content is worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable and sublicensable, that content feeds the directory resold to other customers, and no opt-out from that use is documented anywhere. Hosting is United States only, personal data is kept for at least five years, and no subprocessor list is published.

For a European organisation, those last points are worth weighing against an otherwise serious compliance stance, which includes a published Data Processing Addendum, Data Privacy Framework participation, a named European representative, geo-fencing and exclusion lists. Amplemarket suits well-funded B2B sales teams that already run outbound seriously and want fewer tools rather than more. Teams with modest budgets, consumer-facing offers or strict European data residency requirements should look elsewhere.
