AskYura
AskYura is a no-code AI chatbot that does more than reply: it processes refunds, checks orders, books appointments and updates CRM records through your own APIs, then hands complex cases to a human with full context.
What is AskYura?
AskYura is a conversational AI platform for customer support and business automation, published by AskYura LLC in the United States. Its own documentation puts the claim plainly: unlike a traditional chatbot, Yura does not only answer questions, it performs real actions. Where an FAQ bot explains how to request a refund, AskYura is built to issue it.
Four pillars are advertised on the homepage: Unified AI, Actionable AI, Smart Escalation and Custom Trained. You describe what the agent should do in ordinary English rather than drawing a flowchart, and it learns your voice from past conversations, FAQs and policies. When a request is sensitive, high-value or simply awkward, it routes the conversation to a person with the full history attached, so the customer never has to start over.
Three technical building blocks do the work. API Tools let an agent call any REST endpoint you already run, configured per agent with endpoints reusable across them. Browser Function executes JavaScript functions you have registered inside your own web application, opening a modal, switching a tab or jumping to a settings panel, and runs nothing outside that declared list. Chat Suggestions place tappable first-message prompts in the web chat and the in-app SDK from a single configuration.
Around them sits a complete support desk: knowledge base with AI search, inbox and ticketing, contacts, automation rules, canned responses, queueing, labels, audit log, roles and permissions, two-factor authentication and multi-tenant workspaces. An 85-page documentation set covers all of it, along with a Telegram channel and a marketplace of third-party apps that workspaces can install or build themselves. The widget embeds on your site, or runs from a URL AskYura supplies if you have no site at all.
Five verticals are tooled explicitly, namely e-commerce, hospitality, banking, automotive, and fitness and wellness, with SaaS added on the product page. The vendor claims more than 10 million conversations handled, more than 100 million AI responses generated and up to 70% of issues resolved. None of those figures carries a source, and the companies shown as examples are fictional illustrations. The domain was registered on 1 July 2025, so the product is young.
What it does
- Answer customer messages instantly, 24 hours a day
- Process a refund end to end through your own systems
- Check an order and report its live status
- Take, change or cancel a booking
- Create and update CRM records
- Escalate to a human agent with the whole conversation attached
- Trigger a JavaScript function or navigate a user inside your web app
When to use AskYura / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if AskYura is the right fit.
When to use AskYura
- Small businesses and lean teams with nobody to cover the inbox around the clock
- Online stores handling order tracking, refunds, stock questions and abandoned-cart recovery
- Hotels, gyms and service garages whose customers mainly want to book, change or cancel
- Retail banking teams fielding balance checks, card blocks and KYC questions
- SaaS teams qualifying inbound leads and absorbing tier-1 support without new headcount
When not to use AskYura
- Engineering teams needing a public API to drive the platform programmatically, since AskYura publishes none
- Procurement and security functions that require a signed DPA, a subprocessor list or a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certificate
- Organisations that must keep their data out of model training, as the vendor trains on customer data continuously with no documented opt-out
- Businesses with spiky volumes, because the quota is a daily response allowance and unused responses never roll over
- Buyers who need a settled vendor: no postal address, no named team, and a domain registered only in July 2025
How to use AskYura
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account on the AskYura dashboard and set up your first agent
- Connect your CRM, order management system or helpdesk through its API
- Use the announced connectors for Shopify, HubSpot or Zendesk, or point the agent at any REST endpoint
- Write your workflows in plain English, such as processing a refund below a set amount and updating the CRM
- Register the API tools each agent may call, reusing endpoints across agents where it makes sense
- Declare and authorise, through the SDK, any browser functions the agent may trigger inside your web app
- Upload your FAQs, support documents and product data so the agent learns your policies and tone
- Add first-message chat suggestions once in the SDK so they appear on every channel
- Embed the widget on your site, or use the URL AskYura provides if you have no website
- Watch performance in the analytics dashboard and refine the instructions as real conversations come in

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how AskYura handles your data.
GDPR overview
Concrete and reasonably detailed. The privacy policy, effective 1 July 2025, names AskYura LLC as data controller under both GDPR and UK GDPR, lists its lawful bases (consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation) and enumerates the rights it honours: access, rectification, erasure, portability in CSV or another machine-readable format, restriction, objection, information and breach notification. Parental consent is required below the age of 16. Transfers out of the EEA are said to rely on European Commission standard data protection clauses, binding corporate rules or another legally accepted mechanism, and UK complaints are directed to the ICO. Two gaps stand out: no Article 27 EU representative is designated and no data protection officer is named, so privacy requests go to a generic team address. No DPA and no platform subprocessor list are published.
Who owns the data?
Under the terms of service you keep the intellectual property in the content you submit, and AskYura LLC states it will never claim ownership of it. In exchange you grant the company a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable and worldwide licence to use, distribute, modify, copy, display, translate and adapt that content. Deleting the content or your account ends the licence, except where the material has already been used in commercial or sponsored placements, in which case it runs until that placement stops. For personal data, AskYura LLC declares itself the data controller under both GDPR and UK GDPR. If the company is acquired or wound up, personal data passes to the acquirer among the transferred assets.
Reuse rights
AskYura LLC sets out broad purposes of its own: running the service, personalisation, contact, analytics and market research, advertising and marketing, legal compliance and technical assessment. It collects log data such as IP address, browser, pages visited and timestamps, device data, anything you volunteer including name, email, phone and postal address, and any content you post. The named third parties on the site are Google Analytics, Open Web Analytics, Meta Pixel and MailChimp, while the recipient categories extend to hosting, advertising, payment and debt-collection providers. The company states it does not sell personal information such as email addresses to unrelated third parties. On your side, you retain ownership of what you submit and may reuse or delete it without asking permission, and deleting it also ends the licence you granted. The significant caveat concerns training: the homepage FAQ states the AI trains on your data continuously, and the site documents no way to exclude it.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
The site makes exactly one statement about where data lives, and it sits inside the Canadian PIPEDA section of the privacy policy: data is primarily stored in Canada and may be processed in the United States, the United Kingdom or the EEA under equivalent security measures. Because that sentence appears in a section addressed to Canadian law, the vendor never says whether it describes the platform as a whole or only Canadian users' data, which is worth clarifying before signing. Transfers out of the EEA are said to rely on European Commission standard data protection clauses, binding corporate rules or another legally accepted mechanism. Beyond that, nothing: no trust or security page, no named hosting provider, no datacentre region, and no list of the storage and server providers the policy refers to only by category. The website itself is served through Cloudflare, but that is a content delivery network and says nothing about where customer data is kept.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting AskYura.
- The vendor states it trains on your customer conversations continuously, with no documented opt-out, so every exchange may feed the model
- An agent authorised to issue refunds, block cards or move funds can act wrongly at machine speed: scope each API tool narrowly and read the audit log
- Customers may not realise they are talking to software, since the tool is explicitly built to sound as though you wrote the replies yourself
- Leaning on automated resolution can quietly erode your team's own grasp of what customers actually struggle with
- No Article 27 EU representative and no data protection officer are designated, despite a stated GDPR and UK GDPR posture
- Personal data is listed among the assets that would transfer if the company were acquired or wound up
- Browser Do Not Track signals are not honoured, and the site runs analytics and advertising trackers
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low for the basics, moderate for the advanced layers. Configuring an agent needs no developer: instructions are written in ordinary English, and the vendor's go-live claims range from a few minutes to 48 hours. Deployment is a widget embed, or a URL AskYura supplies if you have no website. The technical work starts beyond that, with declaring REST endpoints, registering and authorising JavaScript functions in the SDK, and wiring the agent into a CRM or order system. None of it requires rebuilding your application, and a five-step quick-start guide covers the path.

Should you pick AskYura?
AskYura makes a clear and unusually concrete promise: an assistant that closes the request rather than explaining how to close it. The three building blocks behind that promise, REST API tools, authorised browser functions and plain-English instructions, are documented in real detail, and an 85-page guide suggests a product with more depth than its age would predict.
The commercial model is refreshingly legible. Every feature ships on every plan, including the free one, and only the daily response allowance and the number of seats change. A permanent free tier of 100 responses a day, with no card required, lets you judge the thing on evidence rather than on the vendor's numbers, which matters because those numbers deserve caution. The 10 million conversations, the 70% resolution rate and the per-vertical gains carry no source, and the companies displayed as examples are fictional illustrations.
The reservations concern the company more than the product. AskYura LLC publishes no postal address, even though its own privacy policy points readers to one. No founder or team member is named. The domain was registered on 1 July 2025, giving barely a year of track record. And for anyone with a compliance function, three things are missing together: a data processing agreement, a subprocessor list, and any security certification. Add the vendor's own statement that it trains on customer data continuously, with no documented opt-out, and a regulated buyer has a real conversation to have first.
For a small business or a lean team that simply needs the inbox covered quickly and without a developer, AskYura is worth the afternoon it asks for. For a regulated organisation, or one that needs to drive the platform programmatically, the gaps are structural rather than cosmetic and should be settled with the vendor in writing.
