Blastness
Blastness is an Italian hospitality technology suite for independent hotels, resorts and chains. It brings direct bookings and distribution, AI-driven revenue management and digital marketing together on one platform, backed by in-house consultancy and a dedicated web agency.
What is Blastness?
Blastness is an Italian hospitality technology company founded in 2004 in La Spezia on an idea by Andrea Delfini, with its registered office in Milan and operational sites in Rome and La Spezia. The name combines the Greek blastos (to grow) with the English word business. The company describes itself as three businesses at once: "We develop proprietary technologies for electronic distribution and rate management, provide specialist revenue management consultancy, and operate an in-house web agency dedicated to the hospitality industry."
What ties everything together is the Blastness Suite, launched in 2022 and presented as "the first platform designed to give you a complete and operational view of hotel performance in real time". It is a single entry point to every Blastness system, organised in three families. Direct Bookings & Distribution covers the Booking Engine and AIBE, the Channel Manager, the CRS, the CRM, the AI Chatbot, Direct Revenue Tools, GDS Distribution and connectivity. Revenue & Intelligence covers the RMS, the IMS, Market Intelligence, Rate Shopper with Parity Check, and Business Intelligence. Web & Digital Marketing covers SEA and metasearch, the BMS bid manager, hotel websites, a CMS, SEO, social media and branding.
Artificial intelligence appears product by product rather than as one central engine. The RMS runs on the proprietary S2 algorithm with predictive AI, Open Price, occupancy and revenue forecasts, an Autopilot mode, and Dual Revenue Management, which the vendor claims is the only system on the market able to steer direct and OTA rates separately. The AI Booking Engine adapts content and the booking path to each visitor, with a multi-room cart and mobile-first layouts built on Microsoft Azure, and a Content Media Manager that generates and translates copy into more than 18 languages. The AI Chatbot answers in any language, grounded exclusively in the hotel's website and the official sources it supplies, with a configurable tone of voice and an internal module for staff.
Recognition is documented: HotelTechReport named the CRS best in the world for 2026 with a 5/5 score, and placed the Booking Engine and the RMS in its global Top 10. Connectivity reaches more than 80 PMS. The limits are equally clear: no public pricing, no free trial, no mobile app, no public API documentation, and support in Italian and English only.
What it does
- Centralise rates, availability and reservations across the official website, OTAs and GDS through the CRS
- Set different prices for the direct and the indirect channel with Dual Revenue Management
- Let the S2 algorithm suggest rate changes, or apply them on its own in Autopilot mode
- Personalise the booking journey for each visitor with the AI Booking Engine
- Answer guest questions 24/7 in any language through the AI Chatbot
- Monitor competitor rates and rate parity with Rate Shopper and Parity Check
- Run PPC search and metasearch campaigns from the BMS bid management system
When to use Blastness / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Blastness is the right fit.
When to use Blastness
- Independent hotels that want to grow direct bookings and reduce their dependence on OTAs
- Resorts and hotel chains looking for a one-stop shop rather than several separate vendors
- Revenue managers who want to steer direct and OTA rates separately through Dual Revenue Management
- Hoteliers with no in-house revenue team, who can outsource the function to a dedicated Blastness Revenue Manager
- Properties that also want to hand over digital marketing: SEA, metasearch, SEO, social media and the hotel website
When not to use Blastness
- Buyers who need published pricing: there is no public rate card, and every engagement starts with a sales conversation
- Teams looking for a free plan or a self-service trial: the three collaboration models are negotiated contracts, and the site only offers a consultation or a demo on request
- Users who expect a native mobile app, as no iOS or Android application is mentioned anywhere on the site
- Businesses outside hospitality, since the whole suite is built exclusively for hotels and accommodation
- Organisations that need human support in a language other than Italian or English

Pros & Cons
Pros
- Very wide functional coverage: distribution, revenue management and digital marketing from a single supplier
- CRS named best in the world for 2026 by HotelTechReport with a 5/5 score, and Booking Engine and RMS in the same global Top 10
- Dual Revenue Management, claimed by the vendor as unique on the market, prices the direct and indirect channels separately
- More than twenty years of exclusive specialisation in hospitality
- No set-up or activation cost as an upfront investment, and no minimum budget required for the Pay per Reservation model
- Staff training sessions are built into the service, alongside supported initial configuration
- Open data governance: sub-processors listed by name in a public PDF with an EU-server storage requirement, and a DPA accessible online without authentication
Cons
- No public pricing at all: budgeting or comparing is impossible without going through a salesperson
- No free trial and no free plan, only a demo on request
- No public API documentation, despite an extensive connectivity offer
- No mobile app for iOS or Android
- Human support is limited to Italian and English, during business hours rather than 24/7
- Site and communication strongly centred on the Italian market, from case studies to events and testimonials
- Nothing published on AI model training or an opt-out, and no security certification such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2 claimed on the site
Pricing & Plans
Blastness publishes no prices. No tier, no range and no currency appears anywhere on the site, and neither a free plan nor a free trial is advertised: the only entry point is a consultation or a demo requested through the contact form. Commercial terms are settled through one of three negotiated collaboration models, namely Pay per Result, Pay per Product and Pay per Reservation. On set-up, the FAQ states that "There are no activation or set-up costs, and no minimum budget is required." For Pay per Reservation, Blastness advertises savings of more than 30% on intermediation costs, and up to 50% on its pricing page; these figures describe expected savings, not the cost of the tool. A starting price therefore cannot be stated.
- a win-win partnership combining a fixed share with a variable share tied to the objectives reached
- with no published price
- products bought individually or as a bundle
- paid in a single payment or in instalments and with no upfront cost
- with no published price
- PPC search and metasearch campaigns billed exclusively on tracked reservations
- with no published price
Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Blastness handles your data.
GDPR overview
Implementation is concrete rather than declarative. Blastness is established in Italy, so the GDPR applies directly, and the site publishes two full English-language notices plus a Data Processing Agreement readable without any login. A Data Protection Officer is designated under Article 37 (dpo@blastness.com). Rights under Articles 15 to 21 are set out individually: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, together with the right to complain to the Italian Garante. Transfers outside the EEA are addressed: the United Kingdom and the United States under adequacy decisions, with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework named, and other transfers covered by standard contractual clauses under Articles 44 et seq. Notably, the words "GDPR compliant" never appear: compliance is applied in detail but never claimed as a label.
Who owns the data?
Blastness S.p.A. publishes two separate notices, both updated on 14 January 2026. For its own website, event and marketing processing it acts as Data Controller, reachable at privacy@blastness.com, with a Data Protection Officer appointed under Article 37 GDPR at dpo@blastness.com. For data handled inside the platform on behalf of a hotel the roles reverse: the freely published Data Processing Agreement makes the hotel the Controller and Blastness the Processor, acting on the client's instructions. That agreement states that "The Controller grants Blastness general authorisation to involve external parties, as Sub-Processors, for the performance of the processing activities related to the Services." The supervisory authority named is the Italian Garante.
Reuse rights
The published documents describe purposes rather than reuse rights. Website data is processed for navigation, information requests, webinar and event registration, event photographs and videos, and direct marketing where consent is given. Contract data is processed for pre-contractual and contractual management, legal and tax obligations, defence in legal proceedings, and consented marketing. The legal bases cited are Article 6(1)(a) consent, (b) contract, (c) legal obligation and (f) legitimate interest. The AI Chatbot answers "drawing exclusively from your website and the database of official sources that you will provide", so the hotel's own content remains the reference material. Nowhere on the site does Blastness state whether customer data is used to train AI models, and no opt-out is described.

Hosting summary
The only first-party statement on hosting sits in the sub-processor PDF, where Blastness says it "requested that suppliers store personal data exclusively on servers located within the European Union." The same document adds an explicit reservation: a transfer to the United States by a supplier acting as an autonomous controller cannot be ruled out. The named storage sub-processors are Seeweb S.r.l., AWS Amazon Aurora and Microsoft Azure. No specific country is named for the platform, only the EU region, which is why this record carries a region and no hosting country. Hosting of the public website is a separate matter, handled by Register S.p.A. with a United Kingdom mention covered by an adequacy decision, and should not be confused with where platform data sits. The privacy notices also cover transfers to the United Kingdom and the United States under adequacy decisions, and other extra-EEA transfers under standard contractual clauses.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Blastness.
- The founding date shown here, 07/10/2004, comes from the GLEIF register and not from Blastness: the site only publishes the year "2004". Two other dates circulate, 01/03/2005 as start of activity and 28/11/2016, which is a re-registration in Milan after the head office moved from La Spezia, not the birth of the company. Whether 07/10/2004 is the incorporation or the registration date remains undetermined, as the Italian public business register is closed
- Autopilot delegates a commercial decision to the algorithm: letting the RMS apply rate changes without human validation can erode a team's own pricing judgement over time, so the mode should be a deliberate choice rather than a default
- The Customer Privacy notice names "Nero Lifestyle S.r.l." as another group company, while the website notice refers only to the "Blastness group" without naming it: an inconsistency worth clarifying before signing
- No security certification is claimed anywhere on the site. A third-party aggregator mentions ISO 9001 and ISO 27001, but with no first-party confirmation the claim has been set aside here
- The API capability recorded here reflects a contractual connectivity offer (XML, more than 80 PMS, GDS, metasearch, payment gateway), not public documentation: no API documentation page exists on the site
- The homepage structured data declares itself as "@type: Hotel" and names the organisation "Blastness 2025": faulty markup with no bearing on the facts retained, but a reminder that automated readings of this site can go wrong
- Testimonials are handled differently from page to page, named on the homepage but anonymised by property type on the Suite page, so they cannot all be verified in the same way
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low technical effort for the hotel, but nothing is self-service. Deployment is driven by the Blastness team after a commercial qualification, with no self-installation path. Initial configuration is supported, then dedicated training sessions are run for the staff. The existing PMS is connected through the PMS Manager, compatible with more than 80 systems, and further integrations are possible with third-party CRS, CRM, GDS, metasearch and a payment gateway. No set-up cost is charged as an upfront investment, and dedicated support covers operational and technical needs. The real effort is organisational and commercial rather than technical.

Should you pick Blastness?
Blastness is one of the most complete hospitality technology offers a hotel can buy from a single supplier. Twenty years of exclusive specialisation, a suite spanning distribution, revenue management and digital marketing, and verifiable sector recognition, with a CRS rated best in the world for 2026 by HotelTechReport at 5/5 and a Booking Engine and RMS in the same global Top 10, put it in a credible position for independent hotels, resorts and chains that would rather deal with one partner than five. The AI is real and documented product by product rather than being a showcase argument: the S2 algorithm and Dual Revenue Management in the RMS, per-visitor personalisation in the AI Booking Engine, and a chatbot grounded exclusively in the hotel's own official sources. Governance is unusually open too, with a freely accessible Data Processing Agreement, sub-processors named in a public PDF, and an EU-server storage requirement placed on suppliers. The main reservation is total pricing opacity. Not a single amount appears on the site, no tier, no range, no currency, so no property can budget or compare without speaking to a salesperson, and the three collaboration models are negotiated contracts rather than subscriptions anyone can start alone. There is no free plan and no free trial; the only door is a consultation or a demo on request. A secondary reservation is the strong Italian anchoring, visible in the case studies, events and testimonials, combined with human support offered only in Italian and English during business hours. For a European hotel ready for a commercial conversation, the offer is substantial and well documented. For anyone who wants to evaluate a tool alone, before talking to anyone, it remains a closed door.
