Brew is an AI-native email service provider. It learns your brand, then writes, designs, sends and measures on-brand campaigns, automations and transactional email from a plain-English prompt, in the app or through AI agents.
What is Brew?
Brew is an AI-native email service provider built by Brew Emails Inc. Rather than bolting AI onto a conventional ESP, the company says it broke the email marketing workflow into its parts — strategy, copywriting, design, segmentation and analysis — and rebuilt each one around AI. Everything starts with the brand. Brew learns a company's palette, typography, imagery and tone of voice up front, and reference emails teach it how the team actually writes. That identity is stored as markdown files the system reads at generation time, so a first draft already looks like it came from the team rather than from a stock template. Footer, legal text and unsubscribe link are applied to every send. From there the work happens in a chat and on a canvas. A prompt produces a draft; any block can then be edited in place by describing the change in ordinary English. Campaigns and multi-step automations share the same canvas, so welcome flows, abandoned-cart, re-engagement and post-purchase sequences sit alongside one-off sends. Automations fire from signups, payments and product events, and audiences are built by describing who you want to reach, which Brew turns into a live filter. Sending is either native, from a domain you verify, or delegated: templates export to Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp and nine other platforms, and paid plans can download raw HTML. Rendering discipline is a stated priority — the same HTML is meant to hold in Apple Mail, Outlook, Gmail and dark mode — and any send can be previewed in real inboxes and audited beforehand. The second entry point is machine-facing. A hosted MCP server exposes the same toolbelt to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Cursor, Codex and other clients, while a REST API v1, an OpenAPI 3.1 specification, signed webhooks, a TypeScript SDK and a CLI cover backend integration. Twenty-two or more one-click connections cover ESPs, authentication, commerce and billing, plus a Figma import that turns design frames into responsive email. Brew serves permission-based email only: cold outreach is prohibited and actively monitored.

GDPR overview
GDPR is addressed concretely rather than in passing. Brew publishes a dedicated GDPR page, a full Data Protection Addendum and a dated, named list of subprocessors. Roles are set out explicitly: the customer is controller for recipient data, Brew is processor, and Brew is controller for its own account, billing and site-usage data. Cross-border transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Module 2), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Swiss equivalents; Brew states it has not self-certified to the Data Privacy Framework. Data-subject requests concerning data Brew controls go to legal@brew.new, with a right to complain to a local supervisory authority. Two gaps are worth noting: no Article 27 EU representative and no Data Protection Officer is named anywhere in the legal pages.
Who owns the data?
Brew's terms state that, between the parties, the customer owns the Outputs generated from their prompts, minus any Brew materials, system prompts or templates embedded in them; Brew and its suppliers own the Service itself. For recipient data uploaded to the platform, the customer is the controller and Brew the processor under the published DPA. For account, billing and security-log data, Brew acts as an independent controller. Brew may also derive anonymised, aggregated Analytics Data and use it for its own purposes. Separately, Brew may attach a discreet attribution to public emails, feature published templates in its gallery, and name the customer commercially, which can be refused by emailing legal@brew.new within thirty days.
Reuse rights
Customers can reuse what they create without asking permission: they own their Outputs, keep their contact data, and can export it at any time from the same Audience section used to import it, a position Brew frames as a rejection of vendor lock-in. Finished emails can be sent from Brew, pushed as templates into a connected ESP, or downloaded as raw HTML on paid plans. On Brew's side, the security page states that limited samples from Free Plan accounts may be used to train or fine-tune Brew-hosted models, while paid plans are excluded from training; outputs from any account may still be evaluated to improve the system without training a model. The terms also allow Brew to scan content, links, inputs and outputs for abuse, malware, spam and policy violations. Feedback sent to Brew is licensed to it perpetually and irrevocably.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Brew states that it processes and stores data primarily in the United States, and invites customers with specific residency requirements to contact the team; no self-service European region is offered. The application runs on Vercel, with Cloudflare for DNS and network security, Convex and MongoDB Atlas as databases, Upstash for caching, Turbopuffer for vector search, Clerk for authentication, Datadog for monitoring and Resend, Mailgun and Entri for sending and domain services. Model traffic is routed mainly through Vercel's AI Gateway to Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, xAI, AWS, Fal.ai and Cohere. Data at rest is encrypted with AES-256, with row-level encryption on sensitive tables; data in transit uses TLS 1.3 or higher. Backups are point-in-time, kept for 30 days and replicated globally. The full subprocessor list is public and dated, and Brew commits to updating it whenever a provider changes.

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Brew.
- Consent stays your responsibility: Brew explicitly says it is not the system of record for consent or opt-out tracking, and you must keep suppression lists indefinitely
- Sending thresholds are enforced, not advisory: bounces must stay under 2% and complaints under 0.08%, with the acceptable use policy setting a hard ceiling at 0.3%, and an in-flight gradual send halts by itself
- On the free plan your content may be used to train Brew-hosted models, so anything confidential should not be drafted there
- Fluent output is not correct output: a generated email can read persuasively while getting an offer, a price or a claim wrong, so the pre-send audit and a human read are not optional
- Letting an agent generate, segment and send without review compresses the gap between a bad idea and a mailing to your whole list
- Delegating brand voice to a model over months can quietly erode the in-house judgement that made the voice worth having
- Commercial fine print bites: credits expire monthly, payments are non-refundable, subscriptions renew automatically, and Brew may attach attribution to public emails and use your name and logo unless you opt out within thirty days

The one genuinely technical step is verifying a sending domain through DNS records for SPF, DKIM and DMARC, with step-by-step instructions and automatic verification. Brew makes an unusually clear bet: rather than adding AI features to an email platform, it rebuilds the platform around them. That shows in how the product is put together. The brand comes first and is stored as text the system reads at generation time; campaigns and automations share one canvas; audiences are described rather than filtered by hand; and the whole toolbelt is exposed twice over, once to people and once to AI agents through a hosted MCP server and a documented REST API. Few email tools of this size ship an OpenAPI specification, a TypeScript SDK and a CLI alongside the marketing pages. The commercial terms are equally low-friction. Every feature is on every plan, seats and sending domains are unlimited, the free tier is permanent rather than a countdown, and the vendor states plainly that exporting your data should be easy. Teams unwilling to abandon Klaviyo, HubSpot or Mailchimp can adopt Brew as a creation layer only. The reservations are real and mostly about maturity. There is no security certification yet, multi-factor authentication is still a planned feature, and data on the free plan may feed model training, with the paid tiers as the way out. Processing sits in the United States, with no European region on offer and no Article 27 representative named despite a serious GDPR page. The domain itself was only registered in July 2025. For a lifecycle, e-commerce or SaaS team that wants to produce far more email without hiring for it, Brew is worth a trial on the free plan.
