Brightcall
Brightcall is an AI calling platform that lets sales and support teams deploy voice agents around the clock, call every inbound lead within a minute, and run high-volume outbound campaigns from one CRM-connected account.
What is Brightcall?
Brightcall is a telephony platform built around AI voice agents, published by the Swedish company Brightcall AB. It gathers three products under a single account. AI Agent is the newest: you configure one agent, its personality, voice, script and knowledge base, then duplicate it into as many copies as the workload needs. Those agents make cold calls, call inbound leads, answer support calls, qualify prospects before transferring them to a human along with everything gathered on the way, and book appointments. Brightcall says they run 24/7 and can handle hundreds of simultaneous calls. Speed To Lead works the other end of the funnel: a phone button and a pop-up added to the customer's website capture a visitor's number and trigger a call back, which the publisher claims happens within 55 seconds. If the customer's own team is busy, a fallback team at Brightcall takes the call instead. Multi Line Dialer is the outbound engine, announced at 80 to 120 dials per hour per agent, with cadences mixing voice and SMS and contacts imported from a spreadsheet or another system. Local caller ID runs across all three products and is credited with a fourfold lift in answer rates. Reporting is deliberately operational: a filterable call list, a conversion funnel, a per-agent activity report and call recordings. Since August 2024 an AI Intelligence layer adds call summaries, sentiment analysis and next-best-action suggestions. Integrations are a selling point, with Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, Zendesk, Bitrix24, Odoo, Kommo, GoHighLevel and around twenty more installed by a Success Manager, plus Zapier and a documented REST API for everything else. The company was founded in Stockholm in 2018, expanded through Scandinavia, then Dubai, then North and South America, launched its AI agent platform in December 2023 with voices in twenty-nine languages, and claimed more than a thousand customers in January 2025. The interface and documentation are in English, with native Arabic support claimed for the Gulf market. No price appears anywhere on the site.

A quick filter to help you decide if Brightcall is the right fit.
When to use Brightcall
- Sales teams that have to call every inbound web lead within minutes rather than hours
- SDRs and BDRs running high-volume outbound campaigns and chasing dial counts per hour
- Lead-generation agencies that must prove to clients how fast each lead was followed up
- Real estate brokerages and franchise networks, the vertical most of Brightcall's own references come from
- Non-technical teams that want voice AI without assembling a stack, with a Success Manager doing the CRM setup
When not to use Brightcall
- Developers who want to assemble their own voice pipeline component by component
- Buyers who need a published price list before they will start a conversation
- Organisations procuring against a compliance checklist: no security certification, no DPA, no subprocessor list
- Teams whose customer contact happens in chat, email or messaging rather than on the phone
- Solo users expecting instant self-service, since an introductory call with an advisor is part of onboarding
How to use Brightcall
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Sign up on the Get Started page with an email address, a password of at least eight characters, a phone number and your main product of interest
- Book the introductory call with an advisor, who reviews your use case and shows how to build a project and place test calls
- Enter the account and watch the Quick Start Video that opens on arrival; it stays available at the top of the left-hand menu
- For the AI Agent, define the agent's personality, voice, script and knowledge base
- Set the call cadence: when each contact is called and how long to wait between attempts
- Import contacts from an Excel file, or push them in directly from another system
- For Speed To Lead, paste the Brightcall JavaScript snippet on your site and connect a web form, a Facebook Lead Form or another lead source
- Have your Success Manager install the CRM integration, or connect it yourself through Zapier
- For programmatic calls, take the widget key and API key from your account and send widget_key, api_key and lc_number to the REST endpoint over GET or POST
- Turn on local caller ID, set the transfer rules to human agents, then track results in the call list, the funnel and the activity report
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Three calling modes, AI agent, lead callback and multi-line dialer, in a single account
- Explicitly no-code, aimed at sales and marketing teams rather than developers
- Guided onboarding, with a Success Manager installing the CRM integrations
- Broad integration catalogue documented article by article, plus Zapier and a public REST API
- Concrete operational reporting: call list, funnel, per-agent activity and recordings
- Operating since 2018, with named customer references and offices on three continents
- Native Arabic support, a genuine differentiator on Gulf markets
Cons
- No public pricing at all: no pricing page, and the terms send you to the admin panel
- You cannot buy without going through an introductory call with an advisor
- Legal documentation is dated, the privacy policy having been unchanged since 31 May 2018
- Not a single GDPR mention on the site, even though the publisher is a Swedish company
- No security certification, no trust page, no data processing agreement and no subprocessor list
- Non-refundable fees and long notice periods, over three months to stop an annual plan
- Convolo-era leftovers still sit in the footer, the FAQ and several links, some of them broken
Pricing & Plans
Brightcall publishes no pricing. The site has no pricing page and the 836-URL sitemap contains none; the terms of use state that plan details and prices are visible only in the Brightcall Admin panel, once a subscription is active. The same document specifies that pricing is denominated in EUR while invoices are issued in local currency at official exchange rates, and that the service is priced on usage, measured by the number of lead calls over a given period. Fees are billed in advance, are non-refundable and renew automatically on a monthly or annual basis. A Free Trial Period and a Money Back Trial Period are referred to without any published duration or condition, and the homepage offers a free account as an entry point. No entry price, currency amount or billing unit can therefore be recorded.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Brightcall handles your data.
GDPR overview
There is no GDPR mention anywhere on the site. Searching every collected page, from the homepage to the privacy policy, the cookie policy and the terms of use, returns zero occurrences of the term. The privacy policy has been in force since 31 May 2018 and reads as a United States document: it cites the Californian Shine the Light law, sets thirteen as the age floor, and asks users to consent to their data being stored and processed in the United States. No Article 27 EU representative and no data protection officer are named, no data processing agreement is offered, and no subprocessor list is published. Deletion is handled by emailing support@brightcall.ai with the subject Data Deletion Request. The only European rule cited anywhere is the NIS2 directive, in a banner about mandatory two-factor authentication. The silence is notable, since the publisher is a Swedish company.
Who owns the data?
Section 4.1 of the terms of use states that the customer keeps ownership of the information, data and statistics Brightcall gathers from their site. That ownership comes with a broad counterpart: the customer grants Brightcall a royalty-free, non-exclusive and irrevocable licence to collect the data, use it to deliver the service, analyse and improve the service generally, and compile aggregated statistics and trend data that Brightcall may use for marketing and promotional purposes. Anything posted on Brightcall's own website falls under a separate, perpetual and sublicensable worldwide licence. The customer warrants holding every right and consent needed to grant these licences.
Reuse rights
The terms mostly describe what Brightcall may do with the data rather than restricting the customer. Customers keep their raw data and log files and are meant to push call details, outcomes and recordings into their own CRM, so reuse for their own records is unrestricted. In the other direction, Brightcall may reuse that data to run the service, to improve it in general, and to build aggregated statistics and trend data for marketing and promotional purposes, with no opt-out documented anywhere. The customer carries obligations of their own: obtaining every consent required from their site visitors, publishing a privacy policy that discloses the tracking, and linking to Brightcall's opt-out. Nothing on the site states whether calls or transcripts feed AI model training.

Hosting summary
Brightcall names no hosting region, no cloud provider and publishes no trust or security page. The privacy policy says visitor data is stored on web servers and databases used by Brightcall, without saying where, and asks users to consent to their information being collected, stored, processed and transferred in and to the United States, or other countries and territories, under United States law. That is the only jurisdiction the documents name, which is striking for a Swedish publisher: no European hosting is claimed anywhere. Security is described in generic terms, namely limited password-protected access, firewalls and SSL encryption in transit, with an explicit disclaimer that no system is impenetrable. No SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA or PCI DSS certification is claimed. The marketing site itself sits behind Cloudflare, which says nothing about where customer records or call recordings are kept. Anyone with a data residency requirement should obtain a written answer before signing.

Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Brightcall.
- Automatic renewal with an unusually long notice period: an annual plan must be cancelled more than three months before it renews, a shorter plan more than one month
- Fees are non-refundable outside the trial periods, and downgrading may cost you content, features or capacity with no liability on the publisher's side
- Cancellation only works through the link inside the account; requests sent by email or made by phone are explicitly not accepted
- The privacy policy dates from 2018 and never mentions the GDPR, while asking you to consent to your data being stored and processed in the United States
- No data processing agreement, no subprocessor list and no security certification: a compliance review will find very little to lean on
- The terms impose individual arbitration under Californian law in Los Angeles County and waive any class action
- Automated outbound calling is regulated differently in every country and the tool does not carry that responsibility for you; letting an AI voice call people at scale can damage a brand as fast as it fills a pipeline, and it is easy to mistake dial volume for genuine commercial progress
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low for the buyer, by design. Brightcall markets itself as no-code and a Success Manager installs the CRM integrations. Speed To Lead only needs a JavaScript snippet pasted on the website, which does require access to it. An introductory call with an advisor comes before the first project, and a Quick Start Video opens on first login; the publisher warns that skipping it makes the first project painful. Going further is optional: JSON webhooks and a REST API with keys taken from the account for developers, Zapier for everyone else.

Should you pick Brightcall?
Brightcall is a mature, opinionated tool on its own ground: the sales telephone. Its three modes cover the whole calling problem rather than a slice of it, from an AI agent that answers and qualifies, to an instant callback on web leads, to a dialer built for volume. What holds the offer together is a deliberate choice of audience: this is voice AI packaged for sales and marketing teams, not for engineers, with a Success Manager doing the CRM plumbing and a Quick Start Video instead of a documentation portal. Teams that measure themselves in dials, answer rates and speed of response will recognise their own vocabulary in the reporting. The weaknesses sit almost entirely on the buying and governance side. Nothing about price is public, so comparison is impossible before an introductory call, and the terms make that commitment heavier than it looks: fees paid in advance, no refunds, automatic renewal and a notice period of more than three months on annual plans. The legal documentation has aged badly. A privacy policy unchanged since May 2018, written to Californian law, that never once mentions the GDPR is a striking thing to find under a Swedish company; add the absence of any DPA, subprocessor list, security certification or availability commitment and a formal procurement review will have very little to hold on to. The performance figures on display are the publisher's own and come with no methodology. The verdict follows from that split. Brightcall is a reasonable candidate for a team that wants to call more and faster, that is willing to negotiate its price, and whose compliance requirements are light. It is a poor fit for an organisation that buys against a security and data protection checklist, at least until Brightcall refreshes the documents it publishes.
