Competely
Competely is an AI competitive intelligence platform that turns your product URL into a sourced, side-by-side comparison across 100+ data points, then keeps watching rivals and emails you a brief whenever pricing, features or messaging shift.
What is Competely?
Competely is an AI competitive intelligence platform published by Lifehack Labs LLC, an Austin-based studio. It does two connected jobs in a single product: it builds the structured competitive analysis, then keeps watching the market on your behalf.
Getting started takes three steps. You enter your product URL, or a short description if there is no live site yet; you accept the competitors the AI suggests or add your own; and the analysis lands in fifteen to forty-five minutes depending on how many rivals you include. What comes back is a side-by-side comparison table spanning 100+ data points organised into eight dimensions. Marketing and messaging covers taglines, value propositions, positioning, keywords, channels, social media, influencer networks, PR and events. Product and features covers core and advanced capabilities, integrations, use cases, customisations, supported platforms, reliability and compliance. Pricing and sales covers business models, tiers, subscription terms, discounting and bundling, sales motions and price transparency. The remaining dimensions map audience and customers, customer sentiment drawn from public reviews, company profile including headcount and funding history, market and opportunity, and a full SWOT.
What separates this from a one-off chat prompt is provenance: every data point carries a link back to the page it came from, so any claim can be checked or defended internally. The engine gets there by deep-crawling competitor websites and related online sources, reading them in more than fifty languages, though the report itself is written in English.
Monitoring then runs on a schedule, re-analysing your competitors every one to four weeks depending on plan and emailing a two-minute brief. The brief interprets rather than merely alerts: it names what moved, a price, a feature or a message, and why it matters, instead of handing over a raw page diff. It deliberately does not rewrite your stored analysis, so refreshing that report stays a separate, conscious re-run.
Competely is sold openly to the self-serve SMB buyer rather than the enterprise CI function, with published pricing from 39 USD per month, no demo and no sales call. The site claims 3,228 startups and agencies as users, and also publishes four free templates that need no account at all.

When to use Competely / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Competely is the right fit.
When to use Competely
- Startup founders and small-business owners preparing investor meetings, strategy sessions or product launches
- Marketers and product managers who need competitor positioning, pricing and feature moves before committing to a campaign or a roadmap
- Agencies and consultants who deliver competitive analysis in pitches and then keep clients current with recurring monitoring reports
- Product marketing and competitive intelligence analysts working without a dedicated enterprise CI budget
- Teams in any sector whose rivals publish public websites, from software and healthcare to retail, education, construction, real estate and financial services
When not to use Competely
- Enterprise buyers whose security team requires SOC 2 or ISO certification, vendor security questionnaires or a signed data processing agreement
- Sales organisations looking for win-loss programmes or battlecards wired into Salesforce
- Anyone who needs a single throwaway answer they will never revisit, which a general-purpose AI assistant already handles
- Teams that only want the raw diff of one competitor page, without the change being interpreted for them
- Readers who need the analysis in a language other than English, since the report itself is only ever written in English
How to use Competely
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create a free account from the homepage, with no credit card required
- Enter your product URL, or describe your product briefly if you have no live site yet
- Review the competitors the AI suggests, then add or remove any you want
- Wait fifteen to forty-five minutes while the full side-by-side analysis builds
- Read the comparison across the eight dimensions, following the source link behind any data point you want to verify
- Unlock a paid plan from the free results page to keep the competitors already found and open the complete grid
- Open step 4 of the project to set the monitoring frequency and add your brief recipients
- Add a Slack channel email address as a recipient if you want briefs posted straight into a channel
- Export the analysis to CSV or PDF, or share it through a public link
- Re-run the analysis on demand whenever the stored report needs refreshing
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Published pricing and self-serve signup, where Crayon, Klue and Kompyte route public buyers through a demo or a quote first
- Every data point is cited, so findings can be verified and defended internally
- Continuous monitoring is included on every paid plan instead of being sold as a separate module
- A first analysis in fifteen to forty-five minutes, against the days or weeks a sales-led rollout takes
- A free account with no credit card lets you judge the actual output before paying anything
- Month-to-month billing with cancellation at any time and no long-term commitment
- The same structured schema on every run, so successive analyses stay comparable over time
Cons
- No SOC 2 or ISO certification, no vendor security questionnaires and no data processing agreement, which rules out most enterprise procurement
- The Terms of Service grant a perpetual training licence over submitted content while the help centre says no training currently happens, a contradiction the site never resolves
- No documented way to exclude your data from model training: the Terms simply tell you not to use the service
- No public support email, contact running through a JavaScript widget, and both published addresses sitting on lifehacklabs.org rather than competely.ai
- The company keeps ownership of the analysis it generates and forbids passing it to third parties without written consent
- Data is transferred to and processed in the United States with no named transfer mechanism, no Article 27 EU representative and no data protection officer
- Tight quotas of three to five analysis re-runs per month depending on plan, and fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Competely handles your data.
GDPR overview
The privacy policy, effective 13 May 2025, devotes a dedicated section to EU and EEA residents and enumerates concrete GDPR rights: access, update, deletion, rectification, objection, restriction, portability and withdrawal of consent, plus the right to complain to a national supervisory authority. Lifehack Labs LLC declares itself data controller and routes every request through a single address, legal@lifehacklabs.org, with identity verification possible before it answers. Implementation stops there. No EU representative under Article 27 is designated, no data protection officer is named, and the help centre states plainly that no data processing agreement is offered. Data from users outside the United States is transferred to and processed in the United States on the basis of consent, with no standard contractual clauses or other transfer mechanism named. Californian CCPA and CalOPPA rights are covered separately.
Who owns the data?
Ownership is split, and unevenly. Under the Terms of Service you keep ownership of the User Input Content you submit and warrant you have the right to it, but you grant Lifehack Labs LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free and non-exclusive licence to use, copy, modify, adapt, publish, translate and create derivative works from it. The generated analysis is treated differently: unless agreed otherwise in writing, the company retains all rights, title and interest in the AI Content and grants you only a limited, non-transferable licence to use it internally. The privacy policy separately states you are the only owner of your personal data, which is never sold or rented. These ownership clauses survive termination of the account.
Reuse rights
You may use the analyses Competely generates for your own internal personal or business purposes without asking further permission. Concretely, that covers exporting a report to CSV or PDF, sharing it through a public link with an unlimited number of viewers, and emailing monitoring briefs to teammates, executives or clients up to your plan's recipient limit. Beyond that the licence stops: the Terms of Service forbid distributing, selling, leasing or otherwise making the AI Content available to third parties without the company's express prior written consent. Showing an analysis to a client is covered; republishing or reselling it is not. Bear in mind too that the reports describe third parties and are AI-generated, and the Terms disclaim their accuracy entirely.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Competely publishes no hosting map, only a provider list and a jurisdiction. The privacy policy names AWS, Vercel, Cloudflare, Render and Hetzner for servers, compute, storage and networking, and Neon and Supabase for databases, alongside Stripe for payments, OpenAI and Anthropic for AI processing, and Google Analytics, PostHog, Mixpanel, Brevo, SendGrid, Sentry and Gmail for supporting functions. On jurisdiction the policy is explicit: users located outside the United States are told their data, personal data included, is transferred to and processed in the United States, and consent to the policy stands as consent to that transfer. No standard contractual clauses or other transfer mechanism is named, no regional data residency is offered, and no hosting certification such as SOC 2 or ISO is claimed, the help centre confirming that none exists. The site's own address resolves in the United States on Amazon infrastructure. In short: American jurisdiction, a named but unlocated provider stack, and no choice of region.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Competely.
- The Terms of Service grant a perpetual, irrevocable licence to train on everything you submit, and the only way out they offer is not to use the service at all, so think twice before pasting confidential strategy documents
- The help centre says no training currently takes place while the contract says otherwise; only the contract binds, and it can be exercised at any time without notice
- The company owns the analysis it generates for you and forbids passing it to third parties without written consent, which matters if you intend to resell it to clients
- The output is AI-generated and the Terms disclaim its accuracy entirely: competitor pricing, headcount or funding figures can be wrong, and acting on them without following the cited sources is your risk alone
- Continuous briefs can breed a false sense of coverage, because a brief never updates the stored analysis: the report you quote can quietly go stale while you feel perfectly informed
- Outsourcing competitive judgement to a scheduled email erodes the habit of looking at rivals yourself, and the interpretation you receive is a model's reading, not your team's
- With no data processing agreement, no EU representative and processing in the United States, feeding in personal data belonging to EU clients could expose you rather than the vendor
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Minimal. There is nothing to install, no code to write, no integration to configure and no technical skill required. You create a free account without a credit card, enter a product URL or a short description in the browser, confirm the suggested competitors, and the first analysis builds itself in fifteen to forty-five minutes. There is no onboarding project, no demo and no sales call. The only optional configuration is choosing how often monitoring runs and adding brief recipients, including a Slack channel email address if you want briefs delivered there.

Should you pick Competely?
Competely does one thing and says so plainly: it turns a product URL into a structured, sourced competitor analysis in under an hour, then keeps watching the market and tells you what moved. Within that scope it is unusually honest for its category. Pricing is published, signup needs no sales call, every data point carries a link back to its source, and the company documents its own limits, from the absence of win-loss programmes to the lack of Salesforce battlecards, rather than leaving buyers to discover them.
The trade-offs are just as clear. There is no SOC 2 or ISO certification, no vendor security questionnaire process and no data processing agreement, which closes the door on most regulated or enterprise purchases. Data leaves for the United States with no named transfer mechanism, no Article 27 EU representative and no data protection officer. Contractually the company keeps ownership of the analysis it generates and restricts passing it onward, while the Terms of Service grant a perpetual licence to train on whatever you submit, a licence the help centre then says is not currently exercised. That contradiction is the one point a prospective buyer should resolve before uploading anything sensitive.
The product is young. The domain was registered in August 2023 and first archived days later, and the published user counts disagree between pages. But the offer is coherent, the free account with no credit card lets you judge the output before committing, and month-to-month billing keeps the downside small.
For a founder, marketer, product manager, agency or consultant who runs their own competitive research and wants structure, sourcing and a nudge when rivals move, Competely earns its 39 USD a month. For anyone whose security or legal team has to sign off first, it is explicitly not the right fit.
