Coniva
Coniva is a Singapore-based no-code platform for building AI support agents trained on your own documents, website and FAQs, then deploying them on a web widget, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram. Pricing is token-based, with a free tier.
What is Coniva?
Coniva is a cloud AI platform published by Coniva.ai, a business established at 60 Paya Lebar Road #06-28, Singapore 409051. Its terms of service define it as a platform that lets businesses create and deploy custom AI agents trained on their own content; the commercial tagline is Conversations that Convert. The product is presented as four blocks. AI Agent covers natural-language understanding, contextual answers, multi-turn conversations with memory, real-time sentiment analysis, intent recognition and entity extraction. Custom Training covers document upload (PDF, DOC, TXT, CSV, up to 100 MB), website crawling with parsing, FAQ import with automatic categorisation, custom question-and-answer pairs, continuous learning, and versioning with rollback. Easy Integration advertises a one-line JavaScript embed alongside a WordPress plugin, a Shopify app, a REST API, webhooks and Zapier. Advanced Analytics covers real-time conversation analytics, CSAT scoring, answer accuracy, top questions, conversion tracking and funnels, custom reports and export. In practice, the channels marked Available on the homepage are the web widget, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. Calendly, Cal.com, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, Discord, Shopify, WordPress, Zapier and HubSpot are labelled Coming Soon there, even though the features page presents several of them as existing capabilities. That is one of several discrepancies between pages: the rating is 4.2/5 on the homepage and the about page but 4.9/5 on the features page, and language coverage is announced as 5+ languages on the homepage against 95+ on the features page, without a single language ever being named. Security claims include AES-256 encryption, encryption in transit and at rest, a web application firewall, access controls and regular security audits; SOC 2 Type II is described as in progress. Maturity matters when reading all of this. The domain was registered on 13 August 2025 and the first Wayback Machine capture dates from 18 February 2026. Coniva claims 150+ beta users and early adopters and 8K+ messages handled, with a sector split led by SaaS (12+) and e-commerce (8+). Twelve sector pages are published under /solutions, but the knowledge base holds a single article and one named testimonial is shown. The application runs at app.coniva.ai, and a miniature demo agent on the homepage can be tried without signing up.
What it does
- Train an AI agent on your own content: PDF, DOC, TXT and CSV uploads, a crawl of your website, and imported FAQs.
- Deploy the agent on your website with a one-line JavaScript snippet.
- Answer automatically on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram from the same agent.
- Capture and qualify leads, then synchronise them with a CRM on the Professional plan.
- Hand a conversation over to a human agent when the bot reaches its limits.
- Track conversations, CSAT and conversions in a real-time dashboard, with CSV and PDF export.
- Apply your own branding to the widget through the white-labelling add-on.

A quick filter to help you decide if Coniva is the right fit.
When to use Coniva
- Startups and small businesses with no structured support desk, the audience Coniva addresses directly with its "essential features built for startups and growing teams".
- E-commerce and SaaS operations fielding repetitive pre-sales and support questions; Coniva claims 12+ SaaS and 8+ e-commerce companies among its early users.
- Teams that want a single agent answering across a website widget, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram instead of four separate inboxes.
- Marketing and growth teams focused on lead capture, offered as Basic, Enhanced and Advanced tiers, with CRM sync on the Professional plan.
- Businesses in the twelve sectors Coniva publishes dedicated pages for: healthcare, e-commerce, retail, education, SaaS, finance, insurance, travel, real estate, hospitality, logistics and general business.
When not to use Coniva
- Teams that need a public API today: the pricing table lists "API Access: Coming soon" and no API documentation page exists on the site, even though the features page advertises a REST API.
- Organisations whose procurement requires a certification or a signed data processing agreement: SOC 2 Type II is described as "in progress" and no customer DPA is published or announced.
- Companies that must keep their data inside the European Union: no hosting country or region is stated anywhere, AWS being the only named infrastructure provider.
- Workloads involving health records or financial account numbers, which the terms of service (section 4.3) prohibit without prior authorisation and PCI compliance.
- Buyers who need per-seat budget predictability or verifiable customer references: billing is metered in tokens rather than users, and a single named testimonial supports the 150+ beta users claimed.
How to use Coniva
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Try the miniature demo agent embedded on the Coniva homepage; no signup is required.
- Create an account at app.coniva.ai, a step the site says takes about 30 seconds.
- Choose a plan: the free tier grants 150 tokens per month, and the homepage offer covers a first month of Starter with no credit card.
- Configure the agent through the setup wizard, with no code to write.
- Train it: upload documents (PDF, DOC, TXT, CSV), crawl your website, import an FAQ and add custom question-and-answer pairs.
- Deploy on your website by pasting the one-line JavaScript snippet into your pages.
- Connect the social channels, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram, through OAuth; the resulting tokens are stored encrypted (privacy policy section 1.3).
- Set up lead capture and, on the Professional plan, the CRM synchronisation.
- Follow conversations, CSAT and conversions in the real-time dashboard; the announced time to launch is under five minutes.
- Watch token consumption: an alert fires at 80% of the quota, and extra tokens can be bought or auto-refill enabled to avoid interruption.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- No-code setup: a configuration wizard and a one-line embed, with a stated time to launch of about five minutes.
- A permanent free plan of 150 tokens per month, plus a first Starter month offered without a credit card, so the tool can be assessed at no cost.
- Social channels covered from the outset, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, alongside the web widget.
- Training on your own sources, documents, site crawl and FAQ, with version history and rollback.
- A clear stated position on model training: no general AI models trained on customer data, and a contractual training ban imposed on OpenAI and Anthropic.
- Sub-processors named openly (AWS, OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe), which publishers of this size often omit.
- Retention periods published as figures, 90 days after account closure, 12 months of chat logs, 24 months of aggregated analytics and 7 years of billing records, together with a 72-hour breach notification commitment and fully public pricing including the per-token rate.
Cons
- A very young product: domain registered in August 2025, first Wayback Machine capture in February 2026, 150+ beta users claimed, no mobile application and a single article in the knowledge base.
- Headline figures contradict each other from page to page: 4.2/5 against 4.9/5, 5+ against 95+ languages, 15+ against 30+ metrics, and a response time given as under 1 second on one page and under 3 seconds on another.
- The REST API is advertised on the features page but marked "Coming soon" in the pricing table, with no documentation published anywhere on the site.
- Most flagship integrations, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Shopify, WordPress, Zapier, HubSpot and Calendly, are labelled "Coming Soon" on the homepage, as are the interactive demos on the features page.
- Compliance gaps for larger buyers: SOC 2 Type II only "in progress", no customer DPA, no Article 27 EU representative, no stated hosting country or region, and a Cookie Policy linked in the footer that has never been published ("Expected launch: Q1 2025").
- Tight seat counts, one on Free and Starter, three on Professional, which makes equipping a team expensive.
- Token billing offers weak budget predictability, since AI actions and human handoffs each consume tokens; fees are non-refundable and no pro-rata refund is granted (terms of service section 7.3).
Pricing & Plans
A permanent free plan is available, limited to 150 tokens per month and one seat. The lowest paid entry point is the Starter plan at 99.00 USD per month, which includes 2,500 tokens at a rate of 0.04 USD per token and one seat. The Professional plan costs 199.00 USD per month for 10,000 tokens at 0.02 USD per token and three seats, while Enterprise pricing is quoted on request. White labelling is an optional add-on at 29.00 USD per month on any tier. Billing is prepaid monthly or annually in US dollars through a third-party payment provider; because consumption is metered in tokens, and because AI actions and human handoffs also consume them, the final invoice depends on conversation volume, with overages charged and prices subject to change on 30 days' notice.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Coniva handles your data.
GDPR overview
Coniva claims "GDPR-compliant data handling" (privacy policy section 4, effective 15 January 2025) and shows a "GDPR Ready" badge on its homepage; this is a self-declaration, not an audited certification. The policy names EEA legal bases, namely contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations and consent for marketing, and offers access, portability, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Transfers out of the EEA and the UK are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (section 8), breach notification to affected users is promised within 72 hours (section 14), and privacy requests go to privacy@coniva.ai with a 30-day target. CCPA/CPRA and Singapore's PDPA are addressed too. Two gaps: no Article 27 EU representative is named anywhere on the site, although the publisher is established outside the EU, and SOC 2 Type II is only "in progress".
Who owns the data?
Under the terms of service in force since 15 January 2025, the customer keeps all rights to the content uploaded to the service and Coniva claims no ownership of it (section 5.1). The customer grants Coniva a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence strictly limited to operating the service: storing, processing and analysing that content, generating responses and producing anonymised analytics (section 5.2). The customer remains solely responsible for the content and must hold the necessary rights (section 5.3), and Coniva may remove content that breaches the terms. One clause runs the other way: any feedback, suggestion or idea sent to Coniva becomes Coniva's property and may be used without compensation or attribution (section 5.4).
Reuse rights
The privacy policy in force since 15 January 2025 lists the purposes Coniva claims for the data it processes (section 2): delivering the service, training the customer's own agents, account management, support, product improvement, research and development, communications and legal obligations. Conversation content is passed to OpenAI and Anthropic for language-model processing (sections 3.1 and 9.2); Coniva states that enterprise agreements with those providers limit retention and contractually prohibit them from training on customer data. Coniva also states that it does not train general AI models on customer data and that each customer's agent training data stays isolated to their account (section 9.1), and that it does not sell personal information (section 3.5). Data may nonetheless be shared with service providers, transferred in a merger or acquisition, disclosed to meet legal obligations, shared with consent, or used in aggregated and anonymised form. Where the Meta channels are connected, Facebook and Meta may access conversation metadata; Coniva states that it does not use Facebook data for advertising purposes (section 13). Customers reuse their own content freely, since they never assigned it; the licence granted to Coniva does not restrict them.

Hosting summary
Coniva names AWS as its hosting infrastructure, described as AWS for cloud hosting and storage (privacy policy section 3.1, effective 15 January 2025), but publishes no AWS region, no hosting country and no data centre location, and offers no European or Asia-Pacific residency option. The publisher is established in Singapore, and the policy states that information may be transferred to and processed in various locations including the United States, where some of its service providers are located (section 8). The other named sub-processors are OpenAI and Anthropic for language-model processing and Stripe for payments. The safeguards claimed for these transfers are Standard Contractual Clauses for EEA and UK data, PDPA-compliant transfer mechanisms for Singapore data, and data processing agreements with sub-processors. Announced security measures include encryption in transit and at rest with AES-256, a web application firewall, access controls, and regular security audits and penetration tests. In short, the publisher's jurisdiction and the infrastructure provider are known, but the actual storage location is not disclosed, a point to clarify directly with Coniva where data residency is a requirement.

Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Coniva.
- Figures contradict each other across the site: 4.2/5 against 4.9/5, 5+ against 95+ languages, 15+ against 30+ metrics, response times under 1 second against under 3 seconds, and "150+ Beta Users" against "150+ Active Users" and "hundreds of early adopters". Verify anything that matters to your decision.
- Documents that are advertised but missing: the Cookie Policy linked as a legal document is unpublished and shows "Expected launch: Q1 2025", and no API documentation exists despite a REST API being announced.
- Corporate identity is thin: the site shows no legal form, no registration number and no named executive, only "Coniva.ai" and a Singapore address. No customer data processing agreement, no Article 27 EU representative and no hosting country are published.
- Any feedback, suggestion or idea sent to Coniva becomes its property, with no compensation and no attribution (terms of service section 5.4).
- Commercial terms to read before committing: fees are non-refundable with no pro-rata refund, overages are billed, only one free account is allowed per person or entity, and the publisher may terminate an account for prolonged inactivity.
- Beta features are supplied as is and may be withdrawn at any time (terms of service section 18), which matters for a product still described in beta terms.
- An agent trained on your own content will still get answers wrong: accuracy is advertised at 95%, so the human handoff should be configured and transcripts read regularly rather than relying on dashboard summaries alone, at the risk of losing first-hand understanding of what customers actually ask.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low. No development skills are required: the site repeats that no coding is required, an account is created in about 30 seconds and a wizard handles configuration. Website deployment means pasting a one-line JavaScript snippet, and the social channels are connected through OAuth for WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. Training is done by uploading files and crawling your site. Time to launch is advertised at under five minutes. The more technical routes announced on the features page, REST API, webhooks, WordPress plugin and Shopify app, are undocumented, so anything beyond the standard path cannot be assessed.

Should you pick Coniva?
Coniva is a recent entrant: the domain was registered in August 2025, the first web archive capture dates from February 2026, and the publisher still speaks of beta users and early adopters rather than an installed base. Read with that in mind, the functional core is credible for its purpose, a no-code multichannel support agent trained on your own documents, website and FAQs, live on a web widget plus WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, with lead capture, human handoff and a conversation dashboard. The legal documentation is unusually complete for a company of this size: sub-processors are named (AWS, OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe), retention periods are published as figures, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and PDPA are all addressed, and the privacy policy states that customer data is never used to train general AI models. The reservations are just as clear. The REST API is advertised on one page and marked Coming soon on another, with no documentation; most flagship integrations are still labelled Coming Soon; SOC 2 Type II is only in progress; the Cookie Policy linked in the footer has never been published; and the marketing figures contradict each other from page to page. Taken together, they mean the claims deserve to be tested rather than trusted. Entry cost is low, which is the point: a permanent free plan of 150 tokens per month and a first Starter month without a credit card let a small team evaluate the product on its own traffic. For a startup or a small e-commerce or SaaS operation, that trial is a reasonable step. For a buyer who needs a signed data processing agreement, a certification or European data residency, Coniva is not there yet.
