SPAI is Earthpulse's geo-analytics platform. It turns satellite and Earth Observation data into ready-to-use risk indicators — maps, dashboards, alerts and API feeds — for teams running water, energy, transport and infrastructure assets, without any in-house GIS expertise.
What is SPAI?
SPAI — Satellite Processing by Artificial Intelligence — is the geo-analytics platform built by Earthpulse, a Barcelona company. It brings Earth Observation data, AI models and geospatial analytics together in a single environment and automates the satellite processing work that has traditionally been slow and reserved for specialists. The claim on the product page is blunt: an organisation gets structured, evidence-backed intelligence without keeping geospatial expertise in-house.
The platform is the engine; what customers actually buy are called Pulses. A Pulse is a ready-to-deploy solution assembled from curated geo-analytics indicators, and the catalogue listed eleven of them: Vegetation Interference, Road Safety, Water Leak, Water Stress, Water Quality, Carbon Sequestration, Wildfire, Landslide, Flood, EUDR and Location Intelligence. Each is filed under the kind of decision it supports — Act, Plan or Prove — and under an industry.
The processing chain runs in four stages. Inputs combine multi-source Earth Observation imagery, with Copernicus named, alongside in-situ readings and third-party layers such as socio-economic, demographic, terrain, meteorological and traffic data. AI models turn those layers into indicators. Outputs arrive as interactive maps, KPI dashboards, automated alerts, reports and API endpoints. Every result is meant to carry documented sources, model logic, version control and audit trails behind it.
Two elements stand apart. SPAI Chat is a conversational interface built into the platform, trained on Earth Observation data and on the customer's own outputs, so an indicator can be questioned in plain language. And the platform is sold around data sovereignty: proprietary knowledge, methodologies and outputs are said to stay in-house, with on-premise deployment supported where needed.
Earthpulse addresses six sectors — water, energy, civil infrastructure, insurance and financial services, supply chain and logistics, and humanitarian aid. Its methodology is presented as validated by the European Space Agency, and its case studies name Aigües de Manresa, an unnamed digital insurer, and an ESA programme run with the World Bank in the Dominican Republic. SPAI has been listed on Microsoft Marketplace since November 2025.

A figure can only be obtained by booking a demonstration and going through a scoping conversation, after which Earthpulse issues a customised implementation plan. GDPR overview
GDPR compliance is claimed explicitly and in concrete terms, but only for the website. The privacy policy, written in Spanish, names EARTHPULSE, S.L. (tax ID B01779404) as controller and invokes Regulation (EU) 679/2016 together with Spanish Organic Law 3/2018. It lists the lawful bases used — consent under Article 6.1.a for enquiries, legitimate interest under Article 6.1.f for follow-up information — and grants access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent, exercised at protecciondedatos@earthpulse.ai. It names the Spanish supervisory authority, the AEPD, as the route for complaints, and states that no automated decision-making or profiling takes place. No data protection officer is named, no processing agreement is offered, and nothing in the document addresses customer data handled inside SPAI. As the company is established in Spain, no Article 27 representative is required.
Who owns the data?
Earthpulse publishes no terms of service, so ownership of customer data is never set out contractually in public. What the marketing says is consistent and favourable: on the SPAI page, a customer's proprietary knowledge, methodologies and outputs "stay in-house — fully secure, never shared", and the About page states "Your data, your models, your control", adding that a customer can walk away with their intellectual property intact. The only binding document, the Spanish-language privacy policy, covers website visitors rather than the product: it names EARTHPULSE, S.L. as controller and says visitor data is never transferred to third parties except under a legal obligation. Treat the product-side promises as commitments still to be written into a contract.
Reuse rights
There are no published terms, so nothing states what a customer may do with the intelligence SPAI produces, and no reuse, redistribution or licensing rules are set out. Reading across the site, the outputs are clearly meant to be used freely inside the customer's own workflows: they are delivered into SAP, GIS and ERP systems and through API endpoints, and Earthpulse says a customer can leave with their intellectual property intact. The reverse direction is less settled. The About page says Earthpulse enhances its models with customer data, while the SPAI page says customer outputs are never shared, and SPAI Chat is described as trained on Earth Observation data and on the customer's own outputs. No opt-out mechanism is documented anywhere. Anyone sensitive to model training should get that boundary written down before signing.

Hosting summary
Earthpulse publishes hosting information for its website only; nothing is stated about where customer data processed inside SPAI is held. The Spanish-language privacy policy declares international transfers outside the European Union to countries covered by European Commission adequacy decisions and by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Three third parties are named: Microsoft, providing the cloud infrastructure; Vercel, hosting the website and located in the United States; and Google Analytics through third-party cookies. Each is linked to its own data protection policy. One discrepancy is worth flagging: the site declares Vercel as its host, but the pages are in fact served through HubSpot's content management system behind Cloudflare, and the resolved server address is an anycast node. Jurisdiction for the platform itself, and any option to keep processing within the European Union, must be confirmed with the vendor — the on-premise deployment mentioned on the About page may be the relevant answer.

- Basic contact details disagree between pages — the displayed phone number differs from the one behind the link, and the street number varies — so confirm anything you intend to rely on

Should you pick SPAI?
SPAI is a serious, narrowly aimed product rather than a tool you try on a whim. Its logic is sound: most organisations that would benefit from Earth Observation cannot afford a geospatial team, so Earthpulse sells pre-built solutions — Pulses — and keeps the satellite work invisible. The catalogue of eleven Pulses, the four-stage processing chain, the delivery into SAP, GIS and ERP systems, and the emphasis on documented sources and audit trails all point at buyers with real regulatory and operational stakes: utilities, water networks, insurers, logistics operators and development institutions. The institutional grounding is genuine, with European Space Agency programmes, open-source contributions and named case studies rather than vague claims.
The reservations are all about what is not published. There is no price anywhere, which is a defensible choice for bespoke enterprise work but leaves a buyer unable to gauge fit before investing time. More awkwardly, there are no terms of service at all, no data processing agreement, no security certification on display, and no API documentation despite the API being sold as a delivery mode. The privacy policy exists, is specific and cites the right legislation, but it is in Spanish on an English site and covers website visitors rather than the customer data flowing through the platform.
