Flowjin
Flowjin is an AI clipping platform that turns long videos and podcasts into captioned short clips, writes platform-specific social copy, then schedules the posts to LinkedIn, X and YouTube from a single calendar. A free plan is available.
What is Flowjin?
Flowjin is a web-based AI clipping platform published by Flowjin Inc., a small Canadian company operating out of Toronto. It takes a long piece of video or audio, whether a webinar, a podcast episode, an interview, a recorded call, a live stream or a Twitter Space, and returns a batch of short, captioned, publish-ready clips together with the social copy that surrounds them.
The workflow runs in three stages. First, the AI scans the uploaded media, identifies the moments worth sharing and drafts 6 to 12 captioned clips automatically, with smart cropping and speaker tracking so a landscape recording becomes a usable vertical short. Second, it writes the platform-specific text: titles, descriptions, hashtags and calls to action tuned for LinkedIn, YouTube and X. Third, it schedules and publishes those posts across channels from a single calendar, so a full week of content can be approved and shipped in one sitting.
Around that core sits a real editor rather than a preview screen. Clips can be trimmed or extended, the transcript corrected, caption typos fixed, scene layouts changed and aspect ratios switched between 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9. Branded caption styles, logos, shapes, AI or manual B-roll, animated titles and lower thirds are all available, and style presets described as minimal, punchy or cinematic are inherited by later uploads so batches stay visually consistent.
Audio is treated as a first-class input rather than an afterthought: podcasts become audiograms, quote clips, waveforms and branded soundbites. The same recording also yields quote images and full blog articles, which is what the company means when it talks about turning one asset into ten pieces of content.
Import is deliberately wide, with more than fifty sources ranging from YouTube, TikTok and Twitch to Zoom recordings, Wistia, Apple Podcasts, Google Drive and Dropbox, and none of them are gated behind a paid tier. Direct uploads are capped at 1 GB. Processing covers seven languages, and picking the right one before clipping matters, since a wrong setting degrades the transcription and costs credits to redo. The homepage claims more than 87,000 uploads and 38,000 generated videos.

When to use Flowjin / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Flowjin is the right fit.
When to use Flowjin
- Founders and CEOs who want a steady LinkedIn cadence without adding production time to their week
- Marketing leads turning a single webinar or product keynote into a multi-week, multi-channel campaign
- Social media managers who would otherwise juggle a video editor, an AI copywriter and a separate scheduling tool
- Marketing agencies that need to deliver more client clips without hiring extra editors
- Podcasters and community managers repurposing episodes, interviews and Twitter Spaces into audiograms and quote clips
When not to use Flowjin
- Teams working mainly in languages outside the seven supported: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch, German and Italian
- Developers who want clipping inside their own pipeline, since Flowjin exposes no public API and no SDK
- Organisations with strict compliance requirements: no GDPR statement, no DPA, no subprocessor list and no declared hosting country
- Creators whose source material is already short, as the AI is tuned for recordings longer than ten minutes
- Buyers who need a refund safety net, because all sales are final on every plan including lifetime purchases
How to use Flowjin
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account on the Flowjin web app, by email or through Google sign-in
- Import your material: drag and drop a file of up to 1 GB, or paste a link from one of the fifty-plus supported sources
- Open the AI clipping settings and select the language actually spoken in the recording
- Start clipping and let the AI scan the media and generate its batch of captioned short clips
- Review the drafts and pick the ones worth keeping
- Edit through the transcript: trim or extend, adjust the clip length, change the scene layout, correct the framing
- Fix caption typos and apply your branded caption style
- Add the brand layer: logo, shapes, AI or manual B-roll, animated titles, lower thirds and overlays
- Review the AI-written titles, descriptions and hashtags for each destination platform
- Export in 1080p, or schedule and publish to LinkedIn, X and YouTube from the calendar

- No hosting country or region is declared and no security certification is displayed
- No public API and no mobile app, despite the privacy policy referring to a mobile application

- Projects expire quickly on the cheaper tiers, after five days on Free and sixty days on Starter

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Flowjin handles your data.
GDPR overview
There is no mention of the GDPR anywhere on Flowjin's site. A systematic search across every collected page, in visible text and in raw HTML, returned zero occurrences. No Article 27 EU representative is designated, no data protection officer is named, no Data Processing Agreement is published or offered, and no subprocessor list exists: the privacy policy dated 27 August 2025 refers only to unnamed vendors. Rights are offered without any European legal basis behind them, namely access and correction from the account, revocation of the Google authorisation, opt-out from non-essential emails, and account deletion on request to the contact address. The governing law is that of the Province of Ontario, Canada, with arbitration in Greater Toronto, and COPPA is cited for under-13s. European buyers should treat this as an unaddressed area, not a compliant one.
Who owns the data?
Flowjin's terms are unusually direct on this point: you own what you create. Any original content you upload, the media inside your flows and the information you provide to open an account remain yours and stay protected by copyright. In exchange you grant Flowjin a licence to translate, modify and reproduce your posts so it can run and improve the service and adapt your files to the technical constraints of networks and devices. That licence is described as royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable and worldwide. It sits alongside your ownership rather than replacing it. Anything you choose to share publicly carries an additional display and distribution licence to other users of the platform.
Reuse rights
Because you keep ownership of your material, you can reuse it without asking anyone: exported clips, separately downloadable subtitles and transcripts, quote images and the generated social copy are yours to edit, publish and monetise. The restrictions sit upstream rather than downstream. The terms forbid uploading anything you do not own or have no consent to use, and Flowjin reserves the right to remove allegedly infringing content and close the accounts of repeat offenders. Exported clips stay downloadable even once a project has expired, whereas draft clips do not. Nothing in the agreement transfers any right over Flowjin itself: its trademarks, logos and software remain entirely its own.

Hosting summary
Flowjin declares no hosting country and no hosting region. The privacy policy acknowledges that vendors host its servers, process payments and provide analytics, but names none of them and publishes no subprocessor list. AWS and Google Cloud logos appear in the trusted-by band on the homepage, which is not a hosting statement and should not be read as one. The domain resolves to a Cloudflare anycast node, so the network location tells you about the content delivery layer, not about where files are stored. On security the company claims commercially reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and secure development practices, while stating that absolute security cannot be guaranteed. No SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA certification is mentioned anywhere on the site. The legal jurisdiction is clearer than the technical one: the company is Canadian and the governing law is that of the Province of Ontario, with arbitration in Greater Toronto.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Flowjin.
- The licence you grant over your uploaded content is described as perpetual, irrevocable and worldwide, which is broader than most people read before clicking accept
- No GDPR statement, no DPA and no named subprocessors: recordings of customer calls or interviews may carry third-party personal data you cannot document a chain of custody for
- No hosting country or region is declared, so you cannot tell your own clients where their recorded voices end up
- All sales are final, so an unsatisfying first month is simply money spent
- Letting AI decide which moments are worth sharing quietly outsources editorial judgement, and a feed of algorithmically chosen highlights can flatten the nuance of the original discussion
- Volume is the explicit promise, and posting ten times more is only a gain if the audience wants it: the same tooling makes it easy to become the person who floods a timeline
- Draft clips vanish after five days on the free plan and sixty on Starter, so anything not exported in time has to be reprocessed and paid for again in credits
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. There is nothing to install: Flowjin is a web application, and you sign up by email or with a Google account. No editing skills are required and the site puts the first result at around five minutes. Connecting a YouTube channel through Google OAuth is optional and only needed to publish directly. The single point of attention is operational rather than technical: select the spoken language before you start clipping, because the wrong choice degrades the transcription and reprocessing consumes credits. No API, SDK or configuration work is involved.

How long are my projects kept?

Should you pick Flowjin?
Flowjin makes a coherent argument. Rather than competing on clip quality alone, it covers the whole chain a marketer actually walks through, from finding the shareable moments to writing the post that carries them to putting that post in a calendar. Its comparison page against Opus Clip leans on exactly that: the clipping is table stakes, the copywriting and scheduling are the point. At USD 19.00 per month against a stack the site itself values at USD 203, and with all fifty-plus import sources open even on the free tier, the tool is cheap to try and cheap to keep.
The reservations are real and fall into two groups. On compliance, the site is essentially silent: no mention of the GDPR, no data processing agreement, no named subprocessors, no declared hosting country and no security certification. For a product sold to marketing teams that process recorded customer calls and interviews, and that supports six European languages, that silence is a genuine obstacle for any buyer with a procurement checklist. On the product itself, several headline features are still labelled coming soon, including scheduling to a social account on the Starter plan, and the pricing page contradicts itself on quotas between the plan cards and the comparison table below them. Add the absence of any refund and the short project lifetime on cheaper tiers, and the free plan becomes the sensible way in.
For an independent creator, a founder building a personal brand, or a small agency that needs volume more than paperwork, Flowjin is a credible and inexpensive answer. For a regulated organisation, the compliance gaps would have to be closed in writing before it could be adopted.
