Flowmapp is an all-in-one visual platform for the part of a web project that happens before design: deciding what the site contains, how people move through it, what each page says, and what the whole thing costs. The sitemap is the spine. It is an interactive drag-and-drop map with a page editor, sticky notes on the canvas and design or development status tags on each area. Hi-fi wireframes are then generated for every page in desktop and mobile form, and a presentation mode turns them into clickable mockups for a client meeting. The Content module behaves like a small Notion inside each page, holding briefs, copy, images, files, reference links and SEO data, with comments for the client and the team. User flows add the journey view, with shapes, connectors and icons whose nodes point back to sitemap pages.
The last module is what separates Flowmapp from a diagramming tool. Hourly rates or fixed costs are assigned per task or per team member, budgets compute automatically with a per-page breakdown in hours and money, and an invoice comes out at the end as the closing document of a proposal. Everything exports to Figma, PDF, PNG, XML, CSV or a web page.

GDPR overview
Flowmapp devotes a dedicated section of its privacy policy, effective 1 September 2024, to GDPR rights for EU and EEA residents. It enumerates access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability and withdrawal of consent, mentions the right to complain to a supervisory authority, and warns that identity may be verified first. Erasure requests go to support@flowmapp.com, general privacy questions to privacy@flowmapp.com. Flowmapp declares itself data controller and treats its suppliers as processors. The gaps are as telling as the mentions: no Article 27 EU representative is designated, no data protection officer is named, no data processing agreement is published or offered, and neither standard contractual clauses nor an adequacy decision is invoked, although the policy explicitly allows transfers outside the user's jurisdiction.
Who owns the data?
Under the Terms of Use the content you post stays yours: you must own it or hold the rights to it, and you carry responsibility for its legality. Flowmapp declares itself data controller, states on its security page that nobody reaches your data unless you hand over a temporary support token, and says it never sells user data. Two carve-outs deserve attention. Flowmapp may use your name, logo and trademarks to identify you as a customer, and client logos appear on its website by default unless you email a refusal to info@flowmapp.com. Personal data may also change hands in a merger, acquisition or asset sale.
Reuse rights
You can reuse everything you produce without asking permission. Projects export to PDF, PNG, XML, CSV, a shareable web page or straight into Figma, and sitemaps come back in from a crawled URL or an XML file. Sharing settings, unlimited viewers and client collaborators let the work circulate well beyond your own team, while manual backups and project ownership transfers are available on the higher tiers. One limit is worth knowing before committing: if a paid subscription lapses, every project but one is archived until you subscribe again, so routine access to your own material depends on the plan staying active.

Hosting summary
Flowmapp hosts its server systems in Canada, with OVH as cloud provider. The security page describes physical controls at the datacentre, including RFID badges, fenced perimeters, video surveillance, motion detection and on-site teams around the clock, alongside network controls: a firewall exposing only necessary ports, SSH key access restricted to authorised staff over VPN, and continuous internal and external monitoring with a public uptime page. Connections are SSL-only, with HSTS, forward secrecy and AES256 encryption. The infrastructure is presented as fully redundant across load balancing, application, database and storage layers, with MySQL replication and regular on-site and off-site backups. Payment processing is outsourced to FastSpring, so Flowmapp holds no card data and states it is not subject to PCI obligations. Two things are missing: no EU hosting region is offered or announced, and the privacy policy explicitly permits transfers to computers outside the user's own jurisdiction. For European users, data therefore sits under Canadian jurisdiction by default, with no regional choice and no data processing agreement to frame it.

- An AI-generated sitemap is a plausible structure, not a researched one: leaning on prompts and templates for every project can quietly replace design thinking with pattern-filling, and a client may receive the result as validated UX
- The estimator computes what you feed it and never checks that the hours are achievable, yet the client reads the resulting figure as a commitment
- Nothing on the site says whether client briefs and page content feed AI model training, and no opt-out is documented, so confidential material deserves caution
- Data is hosted in Canada and the privacy policy explicitly allows transfers outside your own jurisdiction, which matters when the end client is European
- Without a data processing agreement, using Flowmapp as a subprocessor for European clients is not contractually covered
