Fluidwave is an AI task manager built around a simple bet: deciding what to do next is harder than doing it. Rather than handing you another empty list, it ranks your tasks automatically and shows you the one that matters now. Around that core sit four interchangeable views of the same data, Table, Calendar, Kanban and Card, plus a distraction-free focus mode and an AI feature that splits a large or vaguely worded task into small, concrete steps you can export as CSV.
The second half of the product is more unusual and, so far, less finished. Fluidwave advertises a marketplace of human virtual assistants: you flag a task you do not want to handle, set a budget and a deadline, and a real person picks it up, paid per completed job with no subscription. The publisher announced it in April 2025, but the homepage still labelled it Launching soon in May 2026, so it should be read as a promise rather than a feature.
The tool reaches you under three names. The domain simplerlist.com opened in 2022 with a product called simpler, became OneTask, an AI to-do app explicitly aimed at creative, ADHD and neurodiverse users, and now redirects to Fluidwave. The same customer testimonial appears on the 2022 and the 2026 homepages, which confirms one continuous product rather than three.
Practically, Fluidwave runs in the browser and as native desktop apps for macOS on Apple Silicon and Intel, Windows 10 and later, and Linux. Native mobile apps are announced but not shipped. It connects to Google Calendar for scheduling, Google Tasks for import and Slack for capturing tasks from chat, with Todoist listed as coming soon. A custom MCP connector lets Claude read and write your tasks directly. Fifteen free AI productivity tools, from an Eisenhower matrix to a procrastination quiz, are open on the site without any account. The free plan runs to 100 tasks; premium unlocks analytics, automation, custom prioritization, goals and habits.

GDPR overview
There is no mention of the GDPR anywhere in the published legal documents: the acronym does not appear once in the terms, the privacy notice or any collected page. The publisher neither claims compliance nor denies it. What the privacy notice does provide is narrower: it acknowledges that residents of the EEA and the United Kingdom may complain to their local supervisory authority, and links to the European Commission's directory of authorities, plus the Swiss regulator. It also states plainly that servers sit in the United States and that destination countries may not have data protection laws as comprehensive as the user's own. No Article 27 representative is designated, no data protection officer is named, no legal bases are set out, and no standard contractual clauses are referenced. Data subject requests go to the general support address.
Who owns the data?
The split is explicit but uneven. Your User Content remains yours, and the terms treat it separately from the publisher's own content, over which Conscious Apps Inc. keeps every intellectual property right. Usage Data is another matter: diagnostic, technical and usage information about your devices, systems and software belongs solely and exclusively to the publisher, and you assign it any ownership right you might otherwise hold. It is used to run, monitor and improve the service. Personal data may also be shared with your consent, to meet legal obligations, or transferred wholesale during a merger, an asset sale, a financing round or an acquisition.
Reuse rights
Nothing in the published documents grants users a reuse licence over anyone else's data, and the terms are silent on redistributing your own content outside the service. In practice you keep ordinary control of what you create: you can review, change or delete your account at any time, and you can request access, correction or erasure of your personal data by emailing support@fluidwave.com. Tasks can be exported in one documented way only, the CSV file produced by the AI step-breakdown feature. Content shared into public areas of the service may be seen by other users indefinitely, so reuse by third parties is possible there without any further permission from you.

International transfer is stated openly, with a warning to residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom that destination countries may not have data protection laws as comprehensive as their own. The publisher undertakes to protect personal information in line with the notice and applicable law, without detailing the mechanism, since no standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions are referenced. On the security side, AES-256 encryption is mentioned for tokens. On that ground it delivers. The free tier is real rather than decorative, the paid entry point is low, the four views are well thought out, and the native desktop apps and Claude connector are the kind of engineering effort many rivals skip. The fifteen free tools published without a signup wall are a fair way to judge the product before committing.
The reservations are about the company more than the software. The marketplace of human virtual assistants is the argument the homepage leads with, and it was still labelled Launching soon more than a year after being announced, so half the pitch remains unbuilt.
