FuturMotion
FuturMotion is a browser-based AI tool that turns a still product photo into a short animated video. Aimed at fashion and e-commerce teams, portfolios and presentations, it runs on monthly credit plans starting at USD 25.
What is FuturMotion?
FuturMotion is a web service that animates a still image into a short video. The home page promise is blunt, "Transform any photo into Living Motion video in one click", and the site describes itself as "a creative tool that transforms static images into eye-catching, animated videos". It is published under the FuturMotion name by Uros Gazvoda, founder of Futuristica.
Two building blocks can be chained. The first is virtual try-on: a flat-lay garment shot plus a model photo returns an on-model image. The second sets that image, or any image, in motion. The site puts numbers on the pipeline: roughly 5 seconds to upload, about 30 seconds for the on-model render and about 15 seconds for the video, under a minute end to end. An AI Image Edit step reworks the picture from a text instruction beforehand, and FrameSync assembles up to four photos into a single clip.
Background work is a distinct strand. FuturMotion says its removal and replacement model is trained specifically on fashion, citing sheer fabrics, fur, fringing, cast shadows and colour fidelity, and offers marketplace white, lifestyle scenes or custom backdrops. Camera Controls, Lighting Settings and sector templates for fashion, food or electronics shape the result. Exports are MP4, described as high-resolution, with per-platform presets; the clips in the public Explore gallery all run 5 seconds. Accepted inputs are JPEG, PNG and WebP up to 10.0 MB. Explore itself is fed by users' own creations, sorted into Auto, Fashion, Food, Ecommerce, Home Decor, Electronics, Deep Nostalgia and Custom.
The marketing numbers should be read as claims. The site advertises up to 500% more engagement and speeds 10x faster than manual methods, attributed only to AI market analysis, plus cost comparisons from USD 0.50 per product against USD 25-50 for ghost mannequin work, and from USD 0.05 per image against USD 1-5 for manual retouching. Badges read Early Access Launch, Launch Pricing, 10+ Years Digital Innovation and First 50 Founding Members, while the fashion page invites visitors to join 500+ fashion brands.
A public changelog runs from v0.1.0 on 23 December 2024 to v1.6.8 on 11 May 2026. There is no API, no mobile app and no official social account.

When to use FuturMotion / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if FuturMotion is the right fit.
When to use FuturMotion
- Fashion and apparel brands that need on-model imagery without booking a studio, a model or a photographer.
- E-commerce and marketplace teams preparing high-volume catalogues, where white backgrounds are presented as meeting Amazon, Zalando and ASOS requirements.
- Social media managers turning existing product stills into vertical video for Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, with format presets provided.
- Small teams with no video editing skills, since the site states that none are required and that default settings are enough.
- Sellers in the verticals the site showcases: automotive, food, home decor, electronics, beauty, jewellery, hospitality and real estate.
When not to use FuturMotion
- Developers and automation teams: FuturMotion publishes no API, and no documentation page appears anywhere in its sitemap.
- Mobile-first users: no iOS or Android application is linked from any page of the site.
- Anyone expecting a permanently free tool: there is no free plan, only a single complimentary generation.
- Buyers with strict data governance requirements: the site makes no GDPR commitment and offers no DPA, no sub-processor list, no hosting country and no retention period.
- Teams needing long-form video or non-image sources: uploads are limited to JPEG, PNG and WebP up to 10.0 MB, and the clips shown in the public gallery all run 5 seconds.
How to use FuturMotion
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Open the home page and drop in an image, or pick a file: JPG, PNG or WebP, 10.0 MB maximum.
- Create an account where required; clause 3 of the terms asks for one for certain features, and Google sign-in has been available since v0.6.4.
- Choose the mode: Single Photo, or Frame Sync to combine several images.
- Optionally describe the retouch you want in plain text with AI Image Edit.
- For apparel, add a model photo as well to run the virtual try-on: the on-model image is announced in about 30 seconds.
- Remove or replace the background if needed: marketplace white, a lifestyle scene or a custom backdrop.
- Start the animation: the video is announced in about 15 seconds.
- Adjust Camera Controls and Lighting Settings, or start from a sector template.
- Export to MP4 and pick the format preset matching the platform you publish to.
- Nothing to install: the site states that it works in your browser, and that no design or editing skill is required.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Speed claimed by the publisher: under 60 seconds from flat-lay to finished video, and under 5 seconds for a background cut-out.
- No technical skill and no software to install; the whole process runs in the browser.
- Commercial use of the videos is granted, and a subscription can be cancelled at any time from the dashboard, no questions asked.
- Free trial with no credit card required.
- Background removal presented as trained specifically on fashion, including sheer fabrics, fur and fringing.
- White backgrounds presented as meeting Amazon, Zalando and ASOS marketplace requirements.
- A complete photo-then-video chain, where the alternatives the site names only return an image; a dated public changelog also makes product changes traceable.
Cons
- No permanently free plan: a single free generation is all that is offered, and a FuturMotion watermark may appear during the trial.
- Credits do not roll over and expire at the end of each monthly cycle (terms 5.2, a clause that still refers to email generation credits, apparently left over from another product).
- The three plans list exactly the same five feature lines; only the credit volume changes.
- Refunds are capped at 14 days and limited to unused products, with no refund at all if the account is suspended for a breach (terms 4.2d).
- No API, no mobile application and no browser extension.
- No full legal entity name and no postal address on the site; no GDPR commitment, no DPA, no sub-processor list, no hosting country and no retention period either.
- Generated content is public by default, privacy being the user's own responsibility to switch on, and no interface language other than English is announced.
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanently free plan. FuturMotion offers a free trial that requires no credit card and includes one complimentary generation; beyond that, access is by monthly subscription. The lowest paid entry point is the Basic plan at USD 25 per month, which includes 2,000 credits. Creator costs USD 49 per month for 5,000 credits and Studio USD 199 per month for 25,000 credits, with the site advertising per-credit savings of 22% and 36% respectively. Billing is in advance (terms 5.1), and credits are valid for the billing cycle only, with no roll-over (terms 5.2). The publisher claims a cost from USD 0.50 per video and from USD 0.05 per background-removed image. Cancellation with refund is possible within 14 days, only if the service has not been used, with processing announced within 10 business days. No annual pricing and no currency other than the US dollar is published.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how FuturMotion handles your data.
GDPR overview
The site never uses the words GDPR or General Data Protection Regulation: the acronym appears nowhere across the pages reviewed, neither in visible text nor in page source. FuturMotion therefore neither claims nor denies compliance. What the privacy policy does offer, effective 1 January 2025, is a Your Rights section opened by a caveat, "Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information": access, correction, deletion and opting out of marketing, all exercised by emailing info@futurmotion.com. The only firm European anchor is jurisdictional rather than contractual: the terms state that they are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia, an EU member state, with disputes resolved exclusively in Slovenian courts. No Article 27 representative and no data protection officer is named, no DPA is published or offered, and no list of sub-processors exists.
Who owns the data?
The FAQ is explicit on ownership: all videos you create are yours to use commercially. The reservation lies in visibility rather than in title. Clause 4.3a of the terms makes every generation public by default and allows it to be showcased on the Explore page or similar public galleries. Clause 4.3b lets the user switch a Private toggle on, before or just after generating; while that toggle is off, clause 4.3c grants FuturMotion the right to display, feature and promote the content. Clause 4.3d warns that switching an item back to private only applies going forward, as cached copies may persist. The terms place responsibility for visibility settings squarely on the user.
Reuse rights
The privacy policy, effective 1 January 2025, states that FuturMotion collects a name, an email address and payment details, plus browser type, IP address, device information, pages visited, time spent and diagnostic data. That data is used to provide, maintain and improve the service, process payments, answer support requests, and send both product updates and promotional material. The publisher writes that "We do not sell your personal information", while reserving the right to share it with service providers such as payment and analytics vendors, with legal authorities, and in the event of an asset transfer. Cookies and similar technologies are used and can be blocked in the browser, at the cost of some functionality. Security is described only as industry-standard measures, with no certification named and no absolute guarantee. Two third-party trackers are observable in the page code, a Facebook pixel and Yandex Metrica, without being named in the policy. Nothing is said, in either direction, about whether user-uploaded images or generated videos are used to train models.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
FuturMotion publishes no hosting information. Neither the privacy policy nor the terms names a hosting country, a region or a provider, and the site has no trust or security page. No certification is claimed either: searches for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 across the pages reviewed, in text and in page source, returned nothing. Security is described only as industry-standard measures, with no technical detail and no absolute guarantee. What can be observed technically is not a hosting declaration. The domain resolves to 172.67.190.116, announced by AS13335 (Cloudflare) on an anycast address: that is a delivery node, and the San Francisco geolocation attached to it must not be read as the country where data is stored. Two asset sub-domains are visible, static.futurmotion.com for videos and static-cms.futurmotion.com for blog images, but neither says where the underlying storage sits. In short, the jurisdiction holding uploaded images and generated videos cannot be established from the site. The only jurisdiction the publisher does commit to is legal rather than technical: the terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting FuturMotion.
- Creations are public by default and can be showcased on the Explore gallery; switching on the Private toggle is entirely the user's responsibility (terms 4.3).
- Going back to private only applies going forward: copies already cached or shared outside the service may persist (terms 4.3d).
- Credits are lost at the end of each monthly cycle with no roll-over, and a refund is only possible within 14 days and only if the service has not been used.
- An account suspended for prohibited content loses access with no refund (terms 4.2d).
- No full legal entity name and no postal address appear on the site, so recourse comes down to Slovenian law and an email address; the site's email addresses are also obfuscated by Cloudflare and are not visible to a direct reading.
- The performance figures on display, up to 500% engagement and multipliers of 4x, 3.5x, 5x, 2.8x, 3.1x or 32%, are attributed to AI market analysis with no named source: treat them as claims, not as measurements.
- No data retention period and no hosting country is published; and the domain's first Wayback capture dates to 2 June 2017 while the current registration only starts on 22 November 2024, so domain age says nothing about the product's age.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. There is nothing to install: the site states that it works in your browser, and the whole flow, from upload to settings to export, happens on the page. An account is required for certain features under clause 3 of the terms, and Google sign-in has been available since v0.6.4. No API key, no webhook and no integration has to be configured. FuturMotion says that no design or video editing skill is needed, that the default settings are enough, and that a first video comes back in under 60 seconds.

Should you pick FuturMotion?
FuturMotion is a young product: its public changelog opens at v0.1.0 on 23 December 2024 and reaches v1.6.8 on 11 May 2026, and the home page still carries an Early Access Launch badge. The scope is narrow but coherent, covering the visual chain of fashion e-commerce from a flat-lay to a vertical clip ready for social. Virtual try-on, fashion-trained background removal, prompt-based image editing and image-to-video sit in one place, more than remove.bg, Photoroom or Photoshop return on their own.
Pricing is easy to read: three tiers, one identical feature set, only the credit volume changing, at USD 25, 49 and 199 a month. The counterpart is that credits expire with each cycle and refunds are limited to 14 days on an unused service.
The legal documentation is minimal. Neither GDPR nor a DPA, sub-processors, a hosting jurisdiction or a retention period appears anywhere on the site. The publisher itself is thinly identified: no full legal entity name and no postal address, only Slovenian governing law and a named founder, with support and legal contact sharing a single email address.
Two points deserve a decision before signing up. Generated content is public by default and the user has to switch privacy on. And the performance figures on display, up to 500% more engagement and multipliers of 4x, 3.5x or 5x, are attributed to AI market analysis with no named source, so they read as publisher claims rather than measurements.
With no API and no mobile app, FuturMotion remains a self-contained web service. For a small fashion or e-commerce team that wants product visuals fast and can live with a thin compliance story, it is a low-commitment try; for anyone with procurement or data governance requirements, those gaps decide.
