fynk
fynk is an AI-powered contract lifecycle management platform from Austrian company fynk GmbH. Legal, sales, procurement, HR and finance teams draft, negotiate, approve, e-sign and archive contracts in one place, with a built-in AI assistant on every plan.
What is fynk?
fynk is a contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform built by fynk GmbH, an Austrian company founded in Vienna in April 2022. It covers the whole life of an agreement in one place: drafting from templates, negotiation, internal approval, electronic signature, archiving and deadline tracking. The vendor describes it as the teammate that takes paperwork off your plate, and sums up the promise as automating contracts to maximize outcome.
The catalogue runs to 52 features grouped into seven families, Sign, Organize, Boost, Scale, Insights, Draft and Collaborate, but the center of gravity is the AI assistant, included on every plan, free one included. You talk to it: it searches the entire repository, creates a contract from a template by asking one question at a time, compares two versions, analyzes an imported PDF and builds dashboards. It asks for confirmation before acting and stays strictly inside the permissions of the person signed in. Around it, AI analysis reads each contract the moment it lands and returns dates, terms and risks as structured data, while AI review checks an agreement against the company's own playbook and flags what needs fixing.
Signature is native rather than bolted on: three eIDAS trust levels, simple (SES), advanced (AES) and qualified (QES), with unlimited signatures included. For teams that want fynk wired into their stack there is a documented REST API with scoped tokens, signed webhooks and pinned versioning, native HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive connectors, Zapier for 6,000+ apps, SAML 2.0 SSO, and an MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor drive fynk under the signed-in user's permissions, every action landing in the audit trail. Multi-entity management, document branding, approval workflows, tasks and reminders, a kanban view and a tamper-proof audit trail cover the daily work.
The guarantees are the European kind: AWS hosting on ISO 27001-certified servers inside the EEA, German data centers, AI processing kept in the EEA, ISO 27001 certification and a 99.5% SLA. fynk claims more than 3,000 teams, up to 80% of the time saved and contract handling down from an hour to two minutes, with 4.9/5 on G2 and 4.8/5 on OMR.
What it does
- Ask a built-in AI assistant, in plain language, to search the whole contract repository and answer questions about it
- Draft a contract from a template through a guided conversation, then route it for internal approval
- Collect legally binding electronic signatures at SES, AES or QES level under eIDAS, with a defined signing order
- Bulk-import PDFs signed elsewhere and have the AI extract dates, parties, amounts and clauses from them
- Compare two versions of an agreement to see exactly what the other side changed
- Automate approvals, deadline reminders and renewals, and build dashboards to track the portfolio
- Drive fynk from a CRM, from Zapier or from an AI agent through the REST API or the MCP server
When to use fynk / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if fynk is the right fit.
When to use fynk
- European small and mid-sized companies that need to pull contracts scattered across shared drives and mailboxes into one searchable repository.
- Small legal teams, sometimes a single contract owner, serving several departments at once and looking for leverage instead of extra headcount.
- GDPR-bound organizations that require EEA data residency, an ISO 27001-certified vendor and a published subprocessor list before they will sign anything.
- Sales teams running HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive that want the contract generated straight from the deal they just closed.
- Procurement and vendor management teams tracking auto-renewals, notice periods and supplier obligations across a portfolio nobody has fully read.
When not to use fynk
- Teams that need a native mobile app: fynk is browser and API only, with no iOS or Android release.
- Organizations working in languages other than English or German, the only two the vendor publishes.
- Solo users hoping to run integrations on the free plan, which is capped at one seat and excludes the MCP server, the API and the CRM connectors.
- Budget-conscious buyers who need API access, native CRM connectors, custom branding or multi-entity support: those start at the Business tier, EUR 39 per user per month on annual billing, while SAML SSO, custom SLA and DPA and priority support are quote-only on Pro.
- Anyone looking for legal advice: fynk drafts, reviews and flags, but it is software, not a law firm, and it represents nobody.
How to use fynk
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account on the fynk web app: every paid plan opens with a 14-day free trial and no credit card is required.
- If you would rather see it driven first, book the 30-minute personalized demo, which comes with no commitment.
- Centralize: drag contracts in from shared drives and mailboxes, or bulk-import hundreds of PDFs at once and let the AI sort them by name, date or party.
- Let fynk read what arrived: each document is analyzed on arrival and returns its dates, terms and risks as structured data.
- Create new agreements from templates by talking to the assistant, which asks one question at a time (dates, amounts, signatories) and sends nothing without your approval.
- Send for signature at the eIDAS level the deal requires, SES, AES or QES, setting the signing order and following progress.
- Set up approval workflows, tasks, reminders and renewal dates so recurring deadlines run without anyone watching them.
- Query the whole portfolio in plain language and build dashboards on the metadata that matters to you.
- Connect your CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive) or Zapier, and turn on SAML SSO if your organization requires it.
- For API work, create a token in Settings then Integrations then API, give it a role and send it in the Authorization header: there is no sandbox and no approval process.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how fynk handles your data.
GDPR overview
Implementation is concrete and documented. fynk GmbH, Heinrichsgasse 2/1/8, Vienna, is the controller (legal@fynk.com) and claims GDPR compliance by design. An external DPO is appointed: Kertos GmbH in Munich, Dr. Kilian Schmidt, dsb@kertos.io. The privacy policy, version 2.0 of 18 November 2025, sets out access (Art. 15), rectification (16), erasure (17), restriction (18), portability (20), objection (21), withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3)) and complaint (Art. 77) to the Austrian Data Protection Authority in Vienna. An Art. 28 DPA is published in the legal terms and can be customized on the Pro tier; the subprocessor list is a public PDF, current version dated 22/07/2026, with earlier versions archived. Transfers outside the EU rely on adequacy decisions (Art. 45) or standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c)), with encryption and pseudonymization as supplementary measures. The ISMS is ISO 27001-certified by DQS, accredited by DAkkS.
Who owns the data?
fynk states that customers remain the sole owners of all their data and the controller within the meaning of Art. 24 GDPR; fynk acts only as processor. It says it never sells customer data and never shares it with third parties for their own purposes, and that subprocessors work under strict processing agreements. Internal access is limited to authorized, trained employees on an event basis (setup, a service request), and every read requires authentication against the relevant database system. Reversibility is explicit and advertised as no lock-in: a full export, PDF archive plus metadata spreadsheet or metadata alone, can be run at any time, the download link staying seven days in the account history.
Reuse rights
Customer data stays the customer's to reuse, export and process freely; nothing in the published documents makes that conditional on fynk's permission. On fynk's side the use is deliberately narrow: contract data is never used to train AI models. fynk does not train models of its own, the assistant runs on established providers, currently Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and Mistral AI, and all AI processing stays inside the European Economic Area under the same data processing agreements. Those model providers appear in the published subprocessor list alongside hosting and e-signature. The built-in assistant works only within the permissions of the signed-in user and asks for confirmation before acting. One exception matters: connect your own AI tool through the MCP server and contract data leaves fynk for that provider, handled under its terms. On the marketing website, conversion tracking with Google, Meta and Reddit runs only after explicit consent, marketing profiling requires consent as well, and there is no automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Contract data is stored on ISO/IEC 27001-certified servers inside the European Economic Area, with Amazon Web Services named as hosting provider, among others. The pricing and API pages are more specific: the product is designed and developed in Austria and hosted exclusively in ISO 27001-certified German data centers, under European law. AI processing is confined to the same EEA perimeter and covered by fynk's data processing agreements. Transmission is encrypted and full backups are taken regularly on external servers. Availability is committed at 99.5% as an annual average. Transfers to third countries remain possible on the marketing website side, for tooling rather than contract data, and rely on an adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR or on standard contractual clauses under Art. 46(2)(c). The publisher is an Austrian company, so the governing jurisdiction is Austrian and, above it, EU law.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting fynk.
- Using the MCP server sends contract data out of fynk to whichever AI provider you connect, handled under that provider's terms; fynk says so itself and recommends the built-in assistant for sensitive agreements
- AI extraction and review are decision support, not legal advice: a summary that reads convincingly can still miss a clause, and nobody at fynk represents you
- Convenience dulls vigilance. When reminders, renewals and approvals run on their own, people stop reading contracts, and an auto-renewal nobody questioned is still binding
- Annual subscriptions require three months' notice before renewal, and per-seat prices are quoted excluding VAT: recalculate the real cost for your actual headcount
- The native HubSpot integration is marked currently under review, and Slack and Microsoft Teams are still coming soon: check availability before committing
- No support email address is published, the official channel being a contact form, and no minimum age appears in the public documents
- The privacy policy gives the controller's address as 1020 Vienna while the legal notice and contact page say 1010; the fynk.com domain was also registered in 2003, long before the company existed, so it is a second-hand domain
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low. Sign-up is immediate online and the 14-day trial needs no credit card; fynk advertises no IT, no training, and go-live in days rather than quarters. Existing contracts come in from drives and mailboxes in bulk and are sorted automatically by the AI, one customer starting with two licenses and over 2,000 uploaded documents. Developers get an API with no sandbox and no approval step: create a token under Settings, Integrations, API, give it a role, send it in the Authorization header. Heavier rollouts with SAML SSO or assisted onboarding are available on Pro or as a paid add-on.

Should you pick fynk?
fynk is a young but unusually complete European CLM platform: founded in Vienna in 2022, it claims more than 3,000 teams and has raised EUR 4.35M. Its two strongest arguments are easy to check. The first is compliance: contract data sits on ISO 27001-certified servers in German data centers, AI processing stays inside the EEA, the subprocessor list is published and versioned, an Art. 28 DPA is available, and the vendor commits in writing to never training models on customer data. For a GDPR-bound buyer, that combination removes most of the usual due-diligence friction. The second is the AI assistant itself, available from the free plan onwards, which is rare in a market where conversational features are usually reserved for the top tier, and backed by unlimited eIDAS signatures at all three trust levels.
The reservations are structural rather than fatal. Most of the integration capability, REST API, native CRM connectors, custom branding and multi-entity management, only unlocks at the Business tier, EUR 39 per user per month on annual billing, and the free plan is a single seat. There is no mobile app, the product is published in English and German only, and per-seat pricing means the bill follows headcount rather than contract volume. Slack, Microsoft Teams and the native HubSpot connector have not fully shipped yet.
The natural buyer is a European small or mid-sized company with a thin legal function, contracts scattered across drives and mailboxes, and a compliance team that asks where the data sits. Start on the free plan or the 14-day trial, load a real batch of signed PDFs and see what the AI extracts before deciding whether the Business tier is worth it: that test costs nothing and answers most of the questions.
