It runs entirely in the browser at app.iaudit.fr, with no installation and no manual updates, and its stated ambition is to let firms spend less time on routine verification and more on judgement. The publisher presents it as software written "by auditors, for auditors", and it was the winner of the first hackathon organised by the French national auditors' body, the CNCC.
The engagement starts by importing accounting data: a general ledger file, a trial balance or a detailed ledger in .xls or .csv format, with a downloadable template provided. A Pappers connector can open a new file straight from a company registration number. From there the platform maps the accounts, proposes materiality thresholds that the auditor can accept or override, and builds a risk and assertion map together with a sector-specific work programme. The embedded AI then analyses the entries, raises automated tasks and alerts, and points to risk areas; the publisher claims up to 50% of audit tasks can be automated while the auditor keeps control of content and supporting documentation. Dedicated fraud checks look for round amounts, suspicious wordings, entries booked at weekends or on public holidays, and possible duplicate payments.
Output includes analytical reviews, engagement syntheses, lead schedules, custom charts and a Power BI export. Documents and access rights are handled through the firm's own Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint tenant, so the publisher's staff never sees the underlying files. A client portal lets audited companies upload their documents. Electronic sign-offs, timestamping, change tracking and role-based rights (signing partner, engagement manager, associate) cover the documentation trail, and a one-click carry-forward moves a closed file into the following year.
Beyond the audit module, the suite covers mission acceptance and KYC, drawing on the French Treasury asset-freeze API and the INPI registry API, plus a time-tracking, planning and performance module that also handles accounting, advisory and payroll engagements. The vendor states the product follows the assertion and control-risk structure required by the French NEP 315 and NEP 330 auditing standards.

GDPR overview
GDPR implementation is documented in concrete terms. A privacy policy dated 23 December 2025 sits on the site, and a twelve-page "Engagement en matiere de RGPD" PDF adds processing clauses in seven articles plus an annex listing the purposes. The controller is named as Intelligent Audit S.A.S, 14 rue Galvani, Paris. The vendor describes itself as a processor acting for the accounting firms. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability rights are offered. A breach procedure exists, including notification to the data subjects and to the French regulator CNIL, with a breach register. Hosting is in France with no announced transfer outside the EU. Work on the EU AI Act is described as started, covering transparency, documentation and post-market monitoring.
Who owns the data?
The terms of sale are explicit: client data is "the entire and exclusive property of the Client", who is deemed the producer of the database and the controller for personal data. The GDPR commitment document repeats it — audited companies remain owners of their own data, and accounting firms remain owners of what they upload. Intelligent Audit positions itself as a processor acting on the firms' documented instructions. What belongs to the vendor is only its own material: documentation, images, logos and interface screens. Support staff can see file metadata alone (file name, opening and closing dates), never the contents of documents or the underlying accounting figures.
Reuse rights
Clients keep full freedom over their own data: they can export the whole dataset at any point during or at the end of the contract, on request and with a 30-day processing time, and no permission from the vendor is required. The vendor's own use is narrow and stated. Data is processed to deliver the service, plus navigation tracking and statistical reporting to improve it. There is no resale, rental or exchange with third parties, and no profiling, advertising or marketing analysis. AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot may be used, with anonymisation or restriction of sensitive data, and the terms state that data processed through them is never used to train those models. Reuse to build a competing product is contractually forbidden.

Hosting summary
All data is hosted in France, in the European Union. The vendor names Scaleway as its hosting provider and locates the data centre at Vitry-sur-Seine, in the Paris region, adding that physical security of the servers is Scaleway's responsibility and that backups are taken daily in France. No transfer of personal data outside the European Union takes place, except where the provider is compelled by a lawful request from a competent authority. The stated reason is risk management under the GDPR and under the requirements of the French accountancy and statutory audit bodies. One qualification matters: engagement documents and access rights are stored through the firm's own Microsoft Office 365 account using single sign-on, so for that portion the applicable policy is Microsoft's, not the vendor's. The homepage claim is that the tool is designed, hosted and developed in France. Scaleway's and Microsoft's own guarantees belong to them, not to the publisher.

The published entry price is unusually transparent for this market at EUR 199 excluding VAT per month with no lock-in, the overage rates are written into the terms rather than negotiated case by case, and the vendor commits contractually never to use client data to train AI models. Hosting sits in France with Scaleway, in a Vitry-sur-Seine data centre, with no announced transfer outside the European Union — a meaningful argument for a regulated profession. The public GitBook documentation and a changelog updated month after month suggest a product that is genuinely maintained.
The reservations are real too. There is no English version of the site, interface or documentation, and the whole product assumes French audit norms, so its usefulness stops at the border.
