InvestGlass
InvestGlass is a Swiss-hosted platform combining digital onboarding, CRM, portfolio management, a client portal and marketing for regulated financial institutions. Data stays in Switzerland or on the customer's own servers, and no-code tooling automates KYC and approvals.
What is InvestGlass?
InvestGlass is a client-management platform published by InvestGlass SA in Geneva, Switzerland, and launched in 2014 according to the company's developer page. It targets regulated financial institutions — banks, private banks, wealth managers, asset managers and insurers — along with organisations bound by data residency, confidentiality and internal governance requirements. The vendor presents it as the #1 Swiss platform combining onboarding, CRM, PMS, client portal and marketing in one smart API and open ecosystem, a claim it makes for itself rather than one an independent benchmark establishes.
Six product pillars make up the suite: digital onboarding, CRM, a portfolio management system, a marketing cloud, a customer and employee portal, and artificial intelligence. Onboarding supplies a no-code form builder, document upload for identity papers, permits and proof of address, electronic signature, fraud and identity scoring through third-party APIs, and a PDF generator. The CRM adds configurable pipelines, contacts and accounts, custom fields, layouts and dashboards, two-level approval processes, object-level permissions and a Field Audit Trail that preserves field history for up to ten years. The portfolio side connects to core banking systems and offers more than twenty suitability metrics, portfolio reporting, risk monitoring, automated advisory and discretionary mandates, ESG screening and stress testing.
The AI layer reads documents and forms with NLP and OCR, analyses workflows, generates JSON payloads, helps build the data model and runs AI agents under role-based access control. An open API exposes CRM and pipeline endpoints, portfolio data and KYC integrations, with OAuth2 authentication, webhooks and JSON responses.
The central argument is Swiss sovereignty. The vendor states that InvestGlass is Swiss owned and hosted, with Swiss infrastructure and an on-premise deployment option for organisations that require more direct control; the servers sit in Plan-les-Ouates and are managed by STACK Infrastructure and Exoscale SA. The developer page claims 65,000 community members and more than 250 clients, and customer testimonials are grouped by city and sector, from an Abu Dhabi crypto broker to a Zurich family office and a Geneva private bank.
Two limits come from the vendor itself: InvestGlass SA is not an investment advisor, broker or dealer, and the service is not intended for trading. The marketing site exists in sixteen languages, but no interface language list is published.
What it does
- Onboard clients online with digital forms, document collection, consent capture and account opening journeys
- Centralise the client relationship: profiles, household structures, communications, meeting notes, tasks and documents
- Run compliance work: KYC checks, approval steps, periodic reviews and configurable audit trails
- Consolidate client, investment and portfolio information in a single view
- Automate repetitive work: follow-ups, document requests, review reminders, task routing and internal approvals
- Segment and run email and SMS campaigns, and open a client-branded portal for secure document exchange
- Adapt fields, forms, dashboards, reports and workflows without development, using no-code builders and AI assistance
When to use InvestGlass / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if InvestGlass is the right fit.
When to use InvestGlass
- Private banks and wealth managers that need client data to remain under Swiss jurisdiction, with an on-premise option when hosting is a governance requirement
- Compliance, KYC and AML teams running multi-step approval chains, periodic reviews and jurisdiction-specific controls
- Asset and portfolio managers who want CRM records, portfolio data, suitability metrics and risk monitoring in one view
- Insurance brokers and financial intermediaries qualifying large prospect lists, a use the vendor's comparison page calls out explicitly
- Medium to large teams looking for a single all-in-one system covering CRM, onboarding, client portal and portfolio management rather than five separate tools
When not to use InvestGlass
- Outside sales teams: the vendor's own comparison page states InvestGlass is not designed for field sales
- Businesses that need inventory or stock management, which the same page lists as out of scope
- Solo operators and early-stage startups on a tight budget, since entry costs CHF 50 per user per month and no permanent free plan exists
- Investors looking for advice or execution: the terms state InvestGlass SA is not an investment advisor, broker or dealer, and that the service is not intended for trading purposes
- Teams that require a mobile application, as no iOS or Android app is published
How to use InvestGlass
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Start from the Get Started Free page: there is nothing to install, no credit card is required, and the trial runs for 30 days
- Define the client journeys, data fields and workflows your organisation actually needs before loading anything
- Import or connect existing client and portfolio data, including core banking or custodian feeds where relevant
- Configure roles and permissions, then the onboarding, compliance and service processes that apply to your jurisdiction
- Reuse the roughly twenty supplied templates and adapt them to your own specifics; the vendor advertises a success coach for implementation
- Build forms, approval chains, audit trails and periodic reviews with the no-code builders
- Give relationship managers and operations teams access so they all work from the same client record
- Open secure digital forms and the branded client portal to your end clients
- For technical teams, connect through the OAuth2 API and webhooks and extend the data model with custom JSON payloads
- Work day to day at app.investglass.com; support runs through help.investglass.com, and listed partners provide on-site training and account configuration
Pros & Cons
Pros
- All four prices are published in full; the vendor's comparison page contrasts this with competitors that require a sales call and carry complex or hidden costs
- Data sovereignty is concrete rather than rhetorical: Swiss hosting in Plan-les-Ouates plus an on-premise deployment option, which is uncommon in this market
- Broad functional coverage in a single platform — onboarding, CRM, portfolio management, client portal and marketing — instead of five separate tools
- Deep traceability: configurable audit trails, role-based and object-level permissions, and a Field Audit Trail keeping field history for up to ten years
- Customisation without development for fields, forms, dashboards, reports and workflows; the vendor states no admin or developer is needed and that every customer gets a dedicated success team
- Open API with OAuth2, webhooks and JSON responses, and Data Processing Agreements supplied to any customer who asks
- 30-day free trial with no credit card, monthly billing and cancellation at any time; the vendor also advertises quarterly penetration tests
Cons
- The entry price is high for a small organisation: CHF 50 per user per month rising to CHF 700 for the on-premise tier, quoted only in Swiss francs, with no permanent free plan
- The privacy policy was last revised on 19 November 2019 and addresses neither generative AI, nor model training, nor sub-processors in the modern DPA sense
- No maintained sub-processor list is published, and no ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification appears anywhere on the site
- No EU representative is designated under Article 27 of the GDPR, and no postal address is published in the legal or contact pages
- The vendor names its own weaknesses: not designed for outside sales teams, not designed for inventory management, and prebuilt SMS or email listed as a weak point
- No mobile application is published, and the integrations page lists only two partners while other integrations are announced elsewhere on the site
- Editorial finish is uneven: several pages still carry Lorem ipsum filler text and typographical errors, which invites caution on peripheral pages
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanent free plan. Four paid tiers are published, all quoted in Swiss francs per user per month: Starter at CHF 50, Standard at CHF 200, Enterprise at CHF 500 and Ultimate at CHF 700. The lowest entry point is therefore CHF 50 per user per month. Prices are per seat and billed monthly, and the pricing page states that a subscription can be cancelled at any time. A 30-day free trial is offered, with nothing to install and no credit card required; the first three tiers are reached through a Try for free button, while the Ultimate tier goes through Contact Sales. No annual discount, volume pricing or alternative currency is published.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how InvestGlass handles your data.
GDPR overview
The privacy policy, last revised on 19 November 2019, lists the eight GDPR rights: to be informed, access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection, and not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling. Requests go to contact@investglass.com with a stated 30-day response time; a Chief Cybersecurity Officer and Data Protection Office answer compliance questions, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority is acknowledged. The vendor states that it provides Data Processing Agreements to any customer who may need them, through a DocuSign signature link. Product pages describe GDPR-compliant email campaigns with audit trails and automated checks against GDPR and FINMA standards. Two gaps: no EU representative is designated under Article 27, and no ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification is published.
Who owns the data?
InvestGlass SA retains exclusive ownership of the platform and its intellectual property. Everything a user stores — reports, addresses, files, records and documents — is Client Data, and the privacy policy places its management under the corporate client's own privacy policy: requests for access, correction or deletion must be addressed to that client, not to InvestGlass. The vendor deletes, changes or blocks personal data only on the responsible client's written request, and reserves the right to keep an archived copy for legal defence. Collected information, personally identifiable information included, is described as a business asset that would pass to an acquirer. The terms also require users to back up their own content.
Reuse rights
A customer's own records stay usable by that customer: the corporate client governs reuse, export through the API and sharing, with an InvestGlassID token controlling what authorised third-party users see and an UNLINK function to stop that sharing. On the vendor's side, the privacy policy limits personal information to delivering the requested service, communicating, sending service notifications and, where the user has opted in, promotional offers, with unsubscribe honoured within ten working days. Payment details may be passed to PayPal and Xero to execute an order, support exchanges are stored in Intercom or by email, and usage data — IP address, browser, pages viewed, time spent, search terms — is used to administer, improve and personalise the service, potentially through third parties bound by confidentiality. Cookies also serve advertising and audience measurement. The policy states plainly that the company is not in the business of selling information about you to advertisers or other third parties. One silence matters for a buyer: nothing on the site says whether customer data is used to train AI models, and no opt-out is offered.

Hosting summary
Personal information provided to InvestGlass is kept on secure servers in Switzerland, managed by STACK Infrastructure and Exoscale SA. The privacy policy names Plan-les-Ouates, in the canton of Geneva, as the hosting location, and the site describes itself as 100% Swiss owned and hosted. According to the AI product page, data is encrypted in transit and at rest within that Swiss cloud infrastructure. Customers can choose between the Swiss Cloud and their own servers: on-premise hosting and on-premise AI belong to the Ultimate tier. The same policy warns that service providers may be located in the United States and treats submission of data as consent to that transfer. No broad hosting region — EU, North America, APAC — is named as such; only the country. One technical caveat: the public IP address of the domain resolves to a Cloudflare anycast node geolocated in the United States. That is the CDN in front of the marketing site, not the application hosting, and it says nothing about where customer data actually sits.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting InvestGlass.
- The privacy policy and terms of service were last revised on 19 November 2019 — years without a published update, on a product that now ships AI agents
- The privacy policy describes collected information, personally identifiable information included, as a business asset that would be transferred to an acquirer in a merger, acquisition, asset sale or bankruptcy
- Deleting a lead in the interface does not erase it from the database: a written request from the responsible client is required, and InvestGlass reserves the right to keep an archived copy for archiving or legal defence
- The terms state that InvestGlass does not guarantee backup of user content and that users must back up their own, and allow termination or suspension without notice and without cause
- Service providers may be located in the United States and submitting data is treated as consent to that transfer; hosting in Switzerland also sits outside the EU with no Article 27 representative designated
- The site is entirely silent on whether customer data is used to train AI models, so the question has to be settled in the contract rather than on the website
- Beta services are supplied as-is and the terms advise against relying on them in production; on-premise hosting and the core banking connection require the Ultimate tier at CHF 700 per user per month
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low for standard use. The vendor states there is nothing to install, that no programming is needed, and that no admin or developer is required; a success coach and around twenty reusable templates support implementation. The real effort is configuration: defining client journeys, data fields and workflows, importing or connecting existing client and portfolio data, and setting roles and permissions. Partners provide on-site training and account setup. Technical teams can go further through the OAuth2 API, webhooks and custom data models. The Ultimate tier — core banking connection, on-premise hosting and AI — is a project, not an activation.

Should you pick InvestGlass?
InvestGlass occupies a niche it has chosen deliberately: Swiss data sovereignty as an answer to the American CRM giants it compares itself to. For a bank, a wealth or asset manager or an insurer that must keep client data under Swiss jurisdiction, the argument is concrete rather than rhetorical — servers in Plan-les-Ouates, an on-premise option, and a company incorporated and run from Geneva.
The functional coverage is unusually broad for a vendor of this size: digital onboarding, CRM, portfolio management, a client portal, marketing, and an AI layer that reads documents, builds data models and runs agents under role-based access. Pricing transparency is real too. Four tiers are published in full, from CHF 50 to CHF 700 per user per month, where the competitors named on the vendor's own comparison page require a sales call.
The weak side is documentation. The privacy policy and terms were last revised in November 2019 and say nothing about generative AI, model training or modern sub-processor disclosure. No sub-processor list is maintained, no ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification is published, no Article 27 representative is designated, and no postal address appears anywhere in the legal or contact pages. Parts of the site are visibly unfinished, with filler text and typographical errors on peripheral pages.
The tool deserves a look from medium to large teams in regulated finance that want one system instead of five and value Swiss hosting enough to pay CHF 50 per user per month at entry, or CHF 700 for the on-premise tier. Before committing, ask in writing for a current DPA, a sub-processor list, a statement on AI model training and the certifications the site does not publish. The 30-day trial answers the product questions; only the contract answers the rest.
