Keepmind is an AI-powered study assistant that describes itself as a personal memory repository. You give it the material you already have, and it gives back everything needed to revise it: a summary, a mind map, structured chapters, flashcards, a quiz and a review schedule. Input is deliberately broad. Keepmind accepts PDFs, web pages, text files, slide decks, videos, .xlsx spreadsheets and existing card sets, and it can also build a deck from nothing more than a topic you type. The revision engine is the serious part. Keepmind schedules reviews along the forgetting curve using FSRS (FSRS-6 on the current home page, FSRS-5 in the earlier build and on Google Play) and exposes the parameters that usually stay hidden: how many new cards per day, what retention rate to aim for, how long an interval may become. It runs in the browser and as native iPhone, iPad and Android apps released on 5 June 2025, with a direct APK for devices without Google Play and a guest mode for trying it without an account. GDPR overview
There is nothing to report, and that is the finding. The word GDPR appears nowhere on the site: no legal basis, no described data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability), no Article 27 EU representative, no data protection officer, no data processing agreement and no sub-processor list. No hosting country or region is declared. The privacy policy, effective 10 May 2024, is a generic document whose only age rule is the COPPA threshold of 13, not the 15 or 16 usually applied in Europe. The Chinese version of the same policy offers a complaints channel answered within 15 days; the English version offers none. Publicly available signals point away from the EU: a Beijing developer on Google Play, and a service that resolves to Singapore. Who owns the data?
Neither the terms of use nor the privacy policy claims ownership of what you upload, and no content licence transfers rights over your decks to the publisher. Reuse rights
Nothing in the English terms restricts what you do with the material you generate: cards and quizzes can be edited, duplicated, shared by link, exported to print-ready PDF or HTML and reused without asking permission, and the non-commercial limit found in the Chinese version does not appear in the English one. On the publisher's side, the stated purposes are creating your account and profile, providing, personalising and improving the service, contacting you, enabling contact between users, fulfilling orders and analysing usage. First name and email may also be collected for marketing, including newsletters and promotional emails. Session and persistent cookies and web beacons are used, and signing in through Google, Apple or WeChat passes the name and email held by that account.
