GDPR overview
The word GDPR appears nowhere on Motionit's public pages. The privacy policy, produced with the Free Privacy Policy Generator and untouched since 2 February 2023, names no data protection officer, no Article 27 representative and no legal basis for processing, and lists none of the Articles 15 to 22 rights. It grants only a generic deletion right, exercisable from the account panel or by writing to hello@motionit.ai, and treats international transfers as covered by the user's consent, citing neither standard contractual clauses nor an adequacy mechanism. The terms of service are more concrete about EU law, granting European consumers a 14-day right of withdrawal, a two-year legal guarantee of conformity and their home-country jurisdiction. Consumer-law obligations are acknowledged; data protection obligations are not documented.
Who owns the data?
Motionit's terms reserve all content available on the application to the Owner or its licensors, with all rights reserved. The privacy policy, produced with a free generator and unchanged since 2 February 2023, says the company collects email address, first and last name and usage data, and may share it with service providers, affiliates, business partners, other users, and any acquirer in a merger or asset sale. Signing in through Google, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn lets it collect data already attached to those accounts. Neither document states who owns the slide decks a user generates, which is a notable silence for a content-production tool.
Reuse rights
The terms keep intellectual property in the application's own content with the Owner: users may not copy, download, share, modify, translate, publish, transmit, sell, sublicense or create derivative works from it, except where the site explicitly permits a download for personal, non-commercial use with attributions preserved. Reselling or exploiting any part of the service requires prior written permission. Decks generated by the user can be exported to Google Slides, PowerPoint and PDF with no restriction stated on those exports, but no clause grants an explicit commercial licence over generated slides either, so anyone planning to sell or redistribute the output is working without a written answer.

Hosting summary
Motionit names no hosting country and no hosting region anywhere on its site. The privacy policy says only that personal data is processed at the company's operating offices and wherever the parties involved in the processing happen to be, and that information may be transferred to and held on computers outside the user's state, province or country, in jurisdictions whose data protection law differs from their own. That transfer is presented as covered by the user's consent, given by submitting the data; no standard contractual clauses or adequacy decision is cited. The company commits in general terms to taking all steps reasonably necessary to keep data secure and to avoid transfers to organisations or countries lacking adequate controls. Two contextual details are worth noting, though neither is a vendor statement about storage: the privacy policy gives Italy as the company's country of reference, and the domain resolves to an anycast address on Vercel's infrastructure, geolocated in the United States.
