What is Parky.ai?
Parky.ai is a mobile app that reads parking signs and works out what they mean, published by Ateliers Underlabs Inc. of Montreal, Quebec. You photograph the signs; the app identifies the visible rules and decides which of them apply at the moment shown. Three conclusions are possible: Yes, the visible rules allow it; No, a visible rule forbids it; Not sure, the visible information is incomplete, contradictory or ambiguous. Each answer comes with its reasoning, naming which rules apply, which are ruled out and why. The home page shows the idea in one example: on a Tuesday at 3:20 pm with no permit, facing three stacked signs, the verdict is No, because the weekday afternoon ban applies while the permit rule falls outside its own time window. Signs in 85 languages are supported and the explanation comes back in your language. Coverage is claimed worldwide, with the caveat that conditions outside the photo can change the answer. No account is required, the privacy policy states that no personal information is collected, and device location is not used: the app works from the picture plus the device's date, time, time zone and language. Distribution is App Store and Google Play only, with no web version, no API and no extension. Some features require a subscription or in-app purchase.

Pricing & Plans
The model is freemium: the app is free to download and offers a free level of use, while certain features require a paid subscription or another in-app purchase. No price point is published on the site, which carries no pricing page, no amount, no currency and no tier. The terms state that prices, billing periods, trial terms if any, and applicable taxes are displayed before purchase, inside the app. Billing runs through the user's App Store or Google Play account, under that store's payment rules, and renews automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Cancellation is handled from the App Store or Google Play account settings and does not, as a rule, entitle the user to a refund for a period already begun, except where the law or the store's own rules require one. Subscription prices may be changed by the publisher or by the store.

GDPR overview
There is no mention of the GDPR anywhere on the site. Across the four pages collected, no reference to the GDPR, to a data protection officer, to an Article 27 representative, to a data processing agreement or to subprocessors appears in the visible text or in the archived HTML. The regime that is stated is a different one: the terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada, with the courts of the judicial district of Montreal, while expressly reserving the mandatory consumer rights of your place of residence. The privacy policy claims that no personal information is collected at all, which, if accurate, leaves very little for a GDPR analysis to bite on. Who owns the data?
You keep ownership of the images and other content you submit. Ateliers Underlabs Inc. takes only a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, transmit, reproduce, process and analyse that content, and only as far as it needs to in order to handle your submission and to provide, secure and troubleshoot the service you asked for. You are expected to have the right to submit the image in the first place. Everything on the other side of the exchange belongs to the publisher: the software, design, interfaces, text, graphics and the Parky brand are owned by Ateliers Underlabs Inc. or licensed to it, and you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable right to use them.
Reuse rights
The image you send is used to produce the interpretation you asked for, and nothing beyond it: the terms state that submitted images are not retained after processing, are not logged, and are not used for model training. Alongside the picture, the app uses only the device's date, time, time zone and language, and the terms are explicit that device location is not used. The privacy policy goes further and states that no account is required and that no personal information, location data or IP address is collected or stored. One documented exception exists: if you voluntarily report a misreading, the publisher may review the generated result attached to that report, and that report neither identifies you nor traces back to you. The publisher also advises against capturing identifiable people, licence plates or private information in your photos.

Hosting summary
Nothing is published about hosting. Across the four pages collected, home page, terms, privacy policy and help, no country, region, data centre, hosting provider or subprocessor is named, in the visible text or in the archived HTML. The terms go no further than a general commitment that the publisher takes appropriate security measures against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. The only technical element available is a network probe, not a statement by the publisher: the domain resolves to 172.67.172.251, AS13335 Cloudflare, an anycast address. That is a delivery node, and it says nothing about where images are actually processed. What is documented is the legal side instead: the publisher is established in Montreal, Quebec, and the contract is governed by Quebec and Canadian law, which tells you where a dispute would be heard rather than where the data sits. - Liability is capped at the greater of what you paid over the previous six months or CAD 25, the minimum age is 18, and the terms forbid using the app while driving
- The privacy policy of 25 April 2023 predates the terms of 17 July 2026 by more than three years and asserts an absence of collection that the terms qualify; and with no public pricing, the financial commitment only becomes visible after installation

Effectively none. There is nothing to install beyond the app itself, from the App Store or Google Play, no account to create and no personal information to provide. The only skill required is taking a photograph that is sharp and framed wide enough to take in the whole pole, which is where the real effort lies, and why the help page devotes most of its content to shooting advice rather than to setup.

Two strengths stand out: it reads a pole as a system of overlapping rules rather than a list of signs, and it is willing to answer Not sure instead of ruling wrongly. The privacy position is unusually clean and checkable in the documents themselves: images not retained, not logged, not used for training, location not used. Two reservations belong beside that. The accuracy benchmark is self-reported and limited to four countries, and no price is public, so the financial commitment only appears once the app is installed. The publisher is identified, with a postal address and a stated jurisdiction, which is rare for a site this thin. Take the app for what it is, a reading assistant and never an authority. The ticket, and the responsibility for it, stay with the driver.
