Pebblely
Pebblely is an AI product photography tool that turns plain product shots into polished marketing visuals in seconds. It generates the background, shadows and reflections around your item, so online sellers and marketers need no Photoshop skills.
What is Pebblely?
Pebblely is an AI product photography tool. You upload a photo of a product, describe or pick the scene you want around it, and the model composes the final image. What matters commercially is that the real product is preserved: the AI generates the set, the shadows and the reflections around it rather than redrawing it. The publisher made this its differentiating argument in 2023, pointing out that general-purpose image generators warp the product, which is unacceptable when you are trying to sell it. Since the rebuilt version announced in Introducing the New Pebblely, you no longer have to cut the product out before generating: the model reads the product and builds the scene around it, and copes with harder cases such as a person holding the item, complex compositions, packaging text and fine textures. Two generation modes sit side by side. Templates offers more than 100 ready-made scenes and over 40 background themes; Custom takes a free prompt in plain language. You can steer the look with brand colours, six presets (white, cream, sage, blue, tan, black) plus a free colour picker, or with a style reference image. When a product is first saved, Pebblely extracts the text printed on its packaging, such as brand, ingredients and dosage, then reuses it at generation time so labels survive; you can correct that text or add elements with their own position and style. Output comes in five formats: Square 1:1 for Instagram and Shopify, Portrait 4:5, Story 9:16 for Instagram and TikTok, Landscape 16:9 and Facebook Ad 16:9. A standard image takes about ten seconds and costs one credit, while high-resolution mode runs a more powerful model for two credits in roughly thirty seconds. Results can be edited by instruction, along the lines of make the lighting warmer, without starting again, and Bulk generate handles several products at once on the Basic and Pro plans. The publisher, Pebblely Pte Ltd of Singapore, launched the product on 4 January 2023 and displays more than 25,000,000 images generated and over 1,000,000 creators. Access is through the web application at app.pebblely.com: no mobile app is published, and the API documented on the site no longer has working infrastructure behind it.
What it does
- Upload a product photo and get a complete scene generated around it
- Describe the background you want in plain language instead of shooting it
- Turn one product into several formats for marketplaces, social media, websites and ads
- Generate in bulk to cover an entire catalogue
- Refine a result with a written instruction rather than starting over
- Keep packaging text readable thanks to automatic text extraction

A quick filter to help you decide if Pebblely is the right fit.
When to use Pebblely
- Online sellers and small brands with neither the budget nor the logistics for a photo shoot
- Marketplace and Etsy merchants in niches such as jewellery, candles, phone cases or furniture
- Marketing teams that have to feed several channels from a single product photo
- Fast-moving catalogues, where bulk generation covers several products in one pass
- Brands sitting on plain white-background shots that need lifestyle scenes instead
When not to use Pebblely
- Developers who need an API: the documentation is still on the site, but the api.pebblely.com and dashboard.pebblely.com hosts no longer have any DNS record
- Anyone who wants a mobile app, as no iOS or Android application has been published
- Buyers who require contractual GDPR guarantees: no data processing agreement, no subprocessor list, no hosting country and no Article 27 representative are published
- People who want to test before paying or who count on a refund: the publisher states it offers no free trial, the pricing page shows no free plan, and the no-refund policy is explicit
- Anyone shooting something other than products, such as portraits, real estate or events, since the tool is built for product images only
How to use Pebblely
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account at app.pebblely.com/signup; there is nothing to install, everything runs in the browser
- Click Add product and attach your product photo, using a clear image cropped tight on the product to avoid confusing the AI
- On first save, crop the shot, name the product and add tags
- Check the packaging text the AI has extracted, correct it, and add any text element with its position and style
- Click the product, then pick a template or open the Custom tab to describe the scene you want in plain language
- Set the number of images and the output format: 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9 or Facebook Ad 16:9
- Add a brand colour or a style reference image if you want the result to match your visual identity
- Switch on High-resolution for products with text or fine detail: two credits and about thirty seconds, instead of one credit and about ten
- Collect the results in Recent Images, filtering by resolution (All, HD, Standard) or searching by theme or prompt, then download
- Use the edit button on any result to describe a change, switch format, or move it to high resolution
Pros & Cons
Pros
- The publisher states plainly that uploaded and generated images are not used for any AI training
- Ownership of generated images is expressly granted to the user, in the terms of service and in the FAQ
- Short learning curve: three steps, no cut-out beforehand, no retouching skill required
- Fast output, around ten seconds per image in standard mode
- Formats cover the main channels, from Instagram and TikTok to Shopify listings, banners and ads
- Bulk generation is included from the 19 USD per month plan upwards
- Traction is real and dated: over 25,000,000 images generated, more than 1,000,000 creators, paying customers in over 100 countries
Cons
- No free trial, stated in so many words on the pricing page, and no free plan displayed, while the terms of service modified on 14 February 2024 still mention a generous free version: the contradiction is left unresolved
- No refunds, including on a renewal that has already been charged
- Image credits do not roll over from one month to the next, and the entry plan is tight at 30 images a month for 9 USD
- High-resolution mode consumes two credits instead of one, halving the usable quota on detailed products
- Thin legal documentation: no mention of the GDPR, no hosting country, no subprocessor list, no data processing agreement, and a privacy policy unchanged since 15 February 2023
- Barely any company information: no postal address, no contact page or form, a single email address, no about page and no company social account linked from the site
- Narrow technical scope: no mobile app, and the documented API is out of service since its hosts no longer resolve
Pricing & Plans
There is no free trial, the publisher stating explicitly that it does not offer one, and no free plan is displayed on the pricing page, although the terms of service still refer to a generous free version; that contradiction is reported here and not resolved. The lowest paid entry point is 9.00 USD per month, on the Lite plan, within a three-tier monthly range of 9, 19 and 39 USD. On annual commitment the same tiers come to 7.50, 15 and 32 USD per month, billed 90, 179 and 379 USD per year. Consumption is measured in image credits: one credit per standard image and two in high resolution, with no roll-over from one subscription month to the next. Subscriptions renew automatically, can be cancelled from within the application, and are not refundable.
- 9 USD per month
- or 7.50 USD per month on annual billing (90 USD per year)

- All three plans are subscribed from app.pebblely.com/signup
- no enterprise plan and no quote-based pricing are displayed for the web application
Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Pebblely handles your data.
GDPR overview
The GDPR is never named on the site: the word appears neither in the privacy policy, nor in the terms of service, nor on any other page collected. There is no Article 27 representative, no named data protection officer, no data processing agreement published or offered, no subprocessor list, and no declared hosting country or region. The publisher is established in Singapore, outside the European Union. The privacy policy does grant rights that overlap with GDPR ones: being told whether personal data is held, access, rectification, deletion, portability and objection to marketing, all exercised by email to hello@pebblely.com. Pebblely reserves the right to refuse requests it considers abusive or repetitive, or that conflict with its legal obligations or an ongoing dispute. The privacy policy is dated 15 February 2023, the terms of service 14 February 2024.
Who owns the data?
Pebblely Pte Ltd, the Singapore company behind the tool, is the controller for account data: login identifiers, name, email address and avatar, plus everything you feed the generator, meaning product images, custom descriptions, negative prompts and reference images. Output ownership goes the other way and is stated twice, in the terms of service and in the FAQ: you own the images you generate and can use them however you want, and the publisher claims no rights over them. That ownership comes without warranty, since the terms give no assurance that generated images do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights. You remain responsible for the content you post and for all activity under your account.
Reuse rights
Generated images are yours to reuse without asking anyone: the terms of service grant ownership outright and set no restriction on commercial use, with the caveat that no warranty covers third-party rights. On the publisher's side, product images, custom descriptions, negative prompts and reference images are collected and stored, in its own words, in order to provide and improve its services; other stated purposes are running the service, analysing usage and communicating with customers. One point is made explicitly and separately: uploaded images and generated images are not used for any AI training. The privacy policy invokes consent, contractual necessity, legal obligation and legitimate interest (analytics, security, performance), and consent can be withdrawn at any time, free of charge, with no retroactive effect. Session and persistent cookies are used, including third-party ones. Payments go through Stripe, which stores card details; no other subprocessor is named, and no subprocessor list is published.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Pebblely publishes no hosting information at all. Neither the privacy policy nor the terms of service nor any other page collected names a hosting country or region, there is no trust, security or subprocessors page, and no certification is claimed anywhere on the site, with no mention of SOC 2 or ISO 27001. The only third party named in the privacy policy is Stripe, which handles payments and stores card details. The publisher itself, Pebblely Pte Ltd, is established in Singapore, outside the European Union, and that is the only jurisdiction reasonably attached to the service. One technical observation, made on our side and not a statement by the publisher: the domain is served by Amazon CloudFront (AS16509, Amazon.com) and the IP resolved is an edge node in Zurich, a delivery point that says nothing about where data is actually stored. In short, a buyer with data-location requirements has nothing to rely on here and would have to ask the publisher directly.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Pebblely.
- The terms of service refuse any warranty that generated images do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights, and place that risk on the user
- Nothing is refundable, including a renewal already charged; only an account that has generated no image can ask for a refund, by email
- The renewal reminder arrives seven days ahead, and in practice that is the only window to cancel before being billed again
- Unused image credits are lost at the end of each subscription month
- Pebblely reserves the right to update and change the terms of service from time to time without notice, continued use counting as acceptance
- No GDPR contractual commitment is available: no data processing agreement, no subprocessor list, no declared hosting country. Product images, descriptions, negative prompts and reference images are kept to provide and to improve the service, a wording broader than mere operation
- The API documentation is still online although the matching infrastructure no longer exists, so do not build a project on it without confirmation from the publisher
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. Nothing to install: Pebblely is a web application and you sign up by email at app.pebblely.com/signup. No retouching skill is required, no Photoshop skills required being the publisher's central claim, and since the redesign you no longer need to cut out the product first. A first image takes three steps: add the product, choose a template or write a prompt, generate. A welcome screen offers sample products to practise on. The only real requirement is a clear photo cropped tight on the product. An illustrated step-by-step guide supports beginners; nothing to integrate, no key to manage.

Should you pick Pebblely?
Pebblely does one thing and does it well: dropping a real product into a generated scene that holds up in commerce. The learning curve is short, three steps from adding the product to downloading the result, images land in about ten seconds, and since the redesign there is no cut-out stage. Five output formats cover marketplaces, social feeds, websites and ads, and bulk generation takes on a whole catalogue from the Basic plan upwards. The traction is real and unusually long-standing for this market: launched on 4 January 2023, the publisher displays over 25,000,000 images generated, more than 1,000,000 creators and paying customers in over 100 countries, all from a small bootstrapped outfit, Pebblely Pte Ltd in Singapore, run by two co-founders. Two things have to be accepted in exchange. The first is commercial: entry costs 9 USD per month, there is no free trial and no free plan on the pricing page, credits expire at the end of each month, and nothing is refundable. The second is documentary. The site never names the GDPR, offers no data processing agreement, publishes no subprocessor list and declares no hosting country, and its privacy policy has not changed since 15 February 2023. That is an observation rather than an accusation, but a European buyer with procurement requirements will find nothing to lean on. The technical perimeter is narrow too: no mobile app, and the API still documented on the site has no infrastructure left behind it. Against that sits one commitment worth naming, because it is rare: uploaded and generated images are not used for any AI training, and the terms hand you ownership of what you produce. For a small brand or an online seller who needs credible product visuals without a shoot, that trade is worth the ticket.
