Peech is an AI audio reader that turns PDFs, ebooks, articles, emails and photographed pages into natural narration. It analyzes each document before speaking it, and plays on the web, iOS, Android and a Chrome extension.
What is Peech?
Peech is an AI audio reader published by Dopefin Limited, a Cypriot company. It runs as a web app at app.getpeech.com, as iOS and Android applications, and as a Chrome extension. Its claim is easy to state and hard to build: Peech reads the document before it speaks it. Headings are announced and given room to breathe; a quotation switches to a second voice while characters keep their own; a German line inside an English article is spoken in German; running heads, footers, page numbers and scan artifacts are left out. Formulas are told apart from paragraphs, tables from captions, code from prose, charts from the text around them, each one handled rather than spelled out character by character. The inputs are broad: PDF, EPUB, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, email, saved web pages, photographs of printed text and raw scans, plus ebooks you already own and long threads left behind in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Six named listening styles are tied to genres: Sarah (Authorial) for essays and books of ideas, Rob (Companion) for business and how-to writing, Simeon (Investigative) for reportage and true crime, Tyler (Adventurous) for fantasy, Jessica (Intimate) for romance and literary fiction, Umbriel (Contemplative) for scripture and philosophy. Narrators can be swapped mid-chapter without losing your position. Reading comfort rests on three things at once, the home page insists: a dyslexia-friendly typeface, the sentence highlighted as it is spoken, and a speed you set yourself. The headline figures are the publisher's own: 2M+ listeners, 4.5 from 8,000+ ratings, 200+ voices, 60+ languages. The App Store listing shows Productivity, rated 4+, iOS 16 minimum, Apple Vision and Apple Watch versions, 111.8 MB, a seven-language interface, OCR, playback up to 5x, playlists and autoplay; Google Play shows a cooler 3.3 from 893 reviews and 50,000+ downloads, updated 7 August 2026. Two offers sit outside the consumer app: an institutional program through the education form, and catalog-scale narration for publishers. Press coverage from TechCrunch, Forbes Ukraine and tech.eu is displayed on the home page, next to Google for Startups, Microsoft for Startups and AWS Activate badges. The About page dates the company to 2021 and three founders, Andrey, Alex and Bahram. The terms warn plainly that the audio is produced by automated means and is not a substitute for the original material.

- Anyone after voice cloning. The voices are synthetic and imitate no identifiable real person, and the terms forbid using the audio output to train a third-party model.
- Developers and product teams wanting to embed narration: there is no public API and no developer documentation, and listening is licensed for your own personal use only.
- Readers under 16, who are not allowed to create a profile.

- Add your first document one of three ways: drop a file in, paste a link, or photograph a printed page and let OCR read it.

- Press play, follow the highlighted sentence on screen, and set the speed that suits you.

- Pick up where you left off on another device: the library is synced across them.
- Cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings, in Google Play, or, for a purchase made on the website, with the Cancel Subscription button in your account or an email to support.

Pricing & Plans
Peech publishes no price. There is no pricing page on getpeech.com, no figure anywhere in its sitemap, and the web application is a single-page app whose content sits behind authentication, so rates are only visible at the payment screen. Section 9.1 of the terms states that the application is free to download and that certain features are paid, and provides for three forms of purchase: recurring subscriptions, prepaid credits, and one-off payments unlocking specific features or content, bought either directly on the website through a third-party payment processor or through the app stores. A free trial subscription may be offered, and must be canceled at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged. The only figures available anywhere come from the Apple App Store listing, which shows in-app purchases named Peech Premium ranging from USD 3.99 to USD 99.99, across tiers of 3.99, 4.99, 6.99, 14.99, 17.99, 19.99, 69.99 and 99.99, without stating the period billed. That range is therefore an App Store artifact, not a published tariff, and it cannot be read as a monthly or an annual price. A first payment made on the website is refundable within 30 days; store purchases must be refunded by Apple or Google. Data, GDPR & hosting

GDPR overview
GDPR is never mentioned on getpeech.com, and Peech claims compliance nowhere. The mechanisms are nevertheless in place. Section 3 of the privacy policy sets out legal bases for EEA and UK users (contract, legitimate interests, consent, legal obligation), and section 5 lists the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability and complaint to the supervisory authority of your member state, exercised by email to support@getpeech.com with possible identity verification. Section 7 relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers to countries without an adequacy decision. Being established in Cyprus, the publisher needs no Article 27 representative and designates none. No data protection officer is named, no data processing agreement is published, and Do Not Track signals get no response (section 12). Separate CCPA, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Utah notices sit alongside. Policy effective 3 August 2026.
Who owns the data?
Dopefin Limited, the Cypriot company behind Peech, is the controller for personal data (privacy policy, section 14). What you upload, the User Content, and the audio generated from it stay private to your account: the publisher does not publish it, does not share it with other users and does not make it available to the public, and reaches it only as far as is necessary to operate, secure, support and improve the service, or where the law requires. Ownership runs the other way for the service itself: under section 5.1 of the terms, the text, images, trademarks, logos, compilations and software displayed in Peech belong to the publisher. No personal data is sold.
Reuse rights
The privacy policy in force since 3 August 2026 sets out eleven purposes in sections 2.1 to 2.11: delivering the service, personalizing it, managing your account, sending communications, providing support, running research and analytics, marketing, personalized advertising, handling payments and refunds, fighting fraud and abuse, and meeting legal obligations. Alongside what you upload, Peech collects device language, IP address, time zone, device type and model, operating system, internet provider and carrier, hardware advertising identifiers such as IDFA and AAID, listening metrics, and session and crash data. Recipients are described by category only: app marketplaces, cloud hosting, AI and text-to-speech providers, payment processors, analytics, advertising and attribution partners, and communication and support tools. Full card details are not stored by the publisher. On the point that matters most for a tool you feed your documents to, the position is unambiguous and stated twice, in the privacy policy and in section 6 of the terms: neither your User Content nor the audio generated from it is used to train artificial intelligence models. Personalized advertising can be curbed in the iOS Tracking and Apple Advertising settings, and in the Android Privacy and Ads settings.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
No hosting country and no hosting region is named anywhere on getpeech.com. Section 7 of the privacy policy acknowledges that personal data may be transferred to countries other than the one where it was collected, and states that transfers to destinations without an adequacy decision are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Recipients are described by category only: cloud hosting and infrastructure, AI and text-to-speech providers, payment processors, analytics, advertising and attribution, communication and support. Not one is named. No subprocessor list is published, and the publisher invites users to ask for details by email at support@getpeech.com. No security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is mentioned, and no data processing agreement is published or announced as available on request. One network observation, which is context rather than a claim by the publisher: getpeech.com resolves to 35.219.200.4, an anycast node in AS15169 (Google LLC). That tells you where the web server answers from, not where user data is stored.

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Peech.
- No price is shown before the payment screen, so the commitment is made without any way to compare Peech against its competitors beforehand.
- The subscription renews automatically. Cancellation has to happen at least 24 hours before the term ends, and deleting the app does not cancel anything, as both the terms and the Subscription Terms take care to repeat.
- Deleting your account forfeits unused allowances and credits with no compensation, and credits only work for as long as a paid subscription stays active.
- Prices, allowances and credit consumption rates can be changed at any time on a going-forward basis.
- Use is strictly personal: the publisher may throttle, suspend or terminate a profile whose usage goes beyond typical individual use, at its sole discretion.
- You remain responsible for the rights to whatever you import, and for checking what you hear: the audio is machine-made, may contain mispronunciations, omissions or distortions, and is not a substitute for the original. Peech is affiliated with no author and no publisher.
- Fine print worth reading before you subscribe: personalized advertising and attribution partners are active unless you limit them in your device settings, US customers are bound to individual arbitration and waive class actions, the EU's 14-day withdrawal right is lost as soon as immediate performance begins, and the terms make no promise that the service is legally available where you are.
