Personify
Personify turns an expert's content (PDFs, videos, transcripts, frameworks) into a text-based AI clone that answers in their style and embeds with one line of code. Built for coaches, consultants and course creators, with a free forever plan.
What is Personify?
Personify is an AI clone platform published by DeepQuery Ltd, a UK company incorporated on 18 December 2025, with the product opened to the public in April 2026. The principle is simple: an expert uploads their body of work, and the platform turns it into a conversational agent that answers in their style, around the clock, from that material and nothing else.
On the self-serve plans the clone is text only: voice cloning, which the publisher advertises at 97% likeness, belongs to the Done-For-You service. Accepted training sources include PDFs, docx files, transcribed videos, site or blog URLs, LinkedIn posts and course material. There are two setup paths. The fast one asks for a LinkedIn URL, a website URL and five interview questions, then generates the prompt for you; the advanced one lets you write the prompt and curate the corpus by hand.
Once built, the clone ships in two ways: a hosted shareable link, or a widget added to any HTML page with one line of embed code. The publisher names Kajabi, Thinkific, Teachable, Podia, Circle, Discord, WordPress and Webflow among the places it can sit. A single body of content can feed several clones with different jobs, such as coaching, sales or course onboarding.
Monetisation is built in through Stripe Connect: the expert sets a price and collects recurring payments. Analytics cover a full conversation log, the most-asked questions and lead capture. Language handling is broad, with more than 100 languages understood and answered, auto-detection on by default, 52 languages that can be pinned explicitly, and no retraining needed to switch.
The publisher claims more than a million conversations, over 700 experts and use in 94 countries, none of it independently audited. It also advertises a 10-minute guarantee: if the clone does not sound like you within ten minutes, the team builds it with you live. Its flagship reference is Ask David, a clone of Professor David Clutterbuck trained on 80+ books and 900+ articles and launched at the EMCC world conference in Zagreb. Against ChatGPT, Personify positions itself on a clone that answers only from uploaded content, in the expert's own frameworks and voice, and sits inside a course or community.
What it does
- Upload PDFs, videos, transcripts, course modules and frameworks to build the clone's knowledge base
- Set tone, personality, answer length and approach with sliders, then add your branding and avatar
- Publish a shareable link or embed the clone on any page with a single line of code
- Read the full conversation log to spot recurring questions and gaps in your course
- Run several distinct clones off one and the same body of content
- Charge for access to your clone through Stripe Connect, with your own price, trial length and coupon codes
- Capture leads and pass them on to your email tools
When to use Personify / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Personify is the right fit.
When to use Personify
- Coaches running an established programme who field the same student questions week after week
- Consultants who want a client-facing assistant that answers strictly from their own frameworks
- Course creators adding 24/7 support inside Kajabi, Thinkific, Teachable, Podia or Circle
- Thought leaders, authors and speakers sitting on a large back catalogue of books, articles and talks
- Solo experts who want a second revenue stream by charging for access to their clone through Stripe Connect
When not to use Personify
- Anyone who needs the clone to speak in their actual voice: the self-serve product is text only, and voice cloning comes with the Done-For-You service
- Teams that need to build on a public API or read developer documentation, since none is published
- Buyers looking for a native mobile app or an on-premise deployment
- Experts who have not yet built a body of content, because the clone answers only from what is uploaded to it
- Free-plan users who intend to charge for access: Stripe Connect is Pro-only and free accounts stop at 100 messages a month
How to use Personify
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account on the Personify app: no credit card is required, and Google sign-in is available
- Add your content: paste your bio, upload PDFs, videos and notes, or point the builder at a site or blog URL
- Take the fast route if you are in a hurry: paste your LinkedIn URL, paste your website URL, answer five interview questions, and the platform generates the prompt, the voice and the training data
- Or take the advanced route: write the clone's prompt yourself, upload your full library, set voice, personality and guardrails, then iterate from the transcripts
- Personalise the result with the style sliders (tone, answer length, approach) and add your logo and avatar
- Choose the answer language in the Personality step of the builder: auto-detection is selected by default and can be changed at any time without retraining
- Collect your shareable link, or paste the one-line embed onto your website or course platform
- Turn on Stripe Connect if you want to charge for access, then set your price, trial length and coupons
- Follow the conversations in the dashboard and refine the clone from the questions people actually ask
- For the Done-For-You route instead, book a discovery call: day 1 discovery, day 3 voice and content ingestion, day 9 build review, day 14 go live
Pros & Cons
Pros
- A genuinely usable free forever plan: 1 clone, 10 documents, 100 messages a month, embed and shareable link included, with no card and no trial countdown
- Setup is advertised at around ten minutes and asks for no technical skill
- Pro lifts the caps: unlimited clones, messages and documents for 29 to 39 USD a month depending on billing term
- Native monetisation through Stripe Connect, which is rare at this price point
- Embeds on any HTML platform with a single line of code, or works as a hosted link with no integration at all
- Broad language coverage: 100+ languages with auto-detection and no retraining when you switch
- Transparent legal identity: company name, registration number and registered office are published and match the UK register
Cons
- The readable terms and privacy policy cover the marketing site only; the platform's own documents, which govern real clone and student data, could not be consulted
- The self-serve product is text only: voice means moving up to the Done-For-You service, whose price is not published
- No DPA is published, no platform-side subprocessor list is available, and no Article 27 EU representative is appointed although the publisher sits outside the EU
- A very young offering: the company was incorporated on 18 December 2025 and the product launched in April 2026
- No public API, no mobile app and no developer documentation
- The free plan stops at 100 messages a month and has no Stripe Connect, so charging for access means moving to a paid plan
- No independent security certification (SOC 2, ISO 27001) is claimed, and the publisher itself admits its cookie banner does not yet block non-essential trackers before consent
Pricing & Plans
Personify is sold on a freemium basis. A free forever plan is available at 0 USD, with no expiry date and no credit card required. The single paid tier, Personify Pro, is priced at 39 USD per month on monthly billing, or 29 USD per month on an annual commitment billed 348 USD per year, a saving the publisher puts at 120 USD. The Done-For-You service and the White-label offer are both quoted individually. There is no time-limited free trial: the permanent free plan fills that role. No refund policy is published, although the publisher's 10-minute guarantee provides for cancellation at no cost if the clone does not match the expert.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Personify handles your data.
GDPR overview
The privacy policy and terms, both dated May 2026, name DeepQuery Ltd, registered in England and Wales under number 16919713 at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. The regime invoked is the UK GDPR, with the ICO as supervisory authority. Rights listed are access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent, exercised at legal@deepquery.dev with a stated 30-day response time. International transfers, including to the United States, are said to rely on standard contractual clauses or a UK-approved equivalent. No Article 27 EU representative is appointed although the publisher sits outside the EU, and no DPA is published. The publisher also admits that its site loads analytics and advertising tools on first visit, with cookie-consent work still in progress. Crucially, these documents cover the personify.fyi marketing site only; the app.personify.fyi platform points to a separate policy that could not be read.
Who owns the data?
The homepage FAQ is explicit: you keep full copyright on every file you upload, and you grant Personify nothing more than permission to use that material to train your own clone. The publisher states that your content never trains another coach's model and is never shared with a third party. The terms add that anything produced by the free YouTube to Course tool stays yours, while the marketing site itself (text, design, code, brand) remains the property of DeepQuery Ltd. One reservation on scope: these rules come from the marketing site and its FAQ. The separate terms governing the app.personify.fyi platform, where clone content actually lives, could not be collected.
Reuse rights
On the marketing site, the publisher says it collects waiting-list emails, ROI calculator entries, analytics data, a temporary IP address for rate limiting, and advertising attribution identifiers (Meta fbclid, TikTok ttclid). The legal bases claimed are legitimate interests for running the site and its analytics, and consent for form submissions. DeepQuery Ltd states that it does not sell personal data to third parties, and that it performs no automated decision-making or profiling with legal effects. Content submitted to the free YouTube to Course tool is processed by AWS Lambda and a third-party language model, and the policy tells users not to submit anything confidential or sensitive through it. On the product side, every conversation with a clone is logged and returned to the clone owner in a dashboard, showing the most-asked questions and the gaps in a course. Note the scope limit: the readable policy covers the marketing site only, and the platform's own document could not be collected.

Hosting summary
The publisher states that its AWS Lambda infrastructure runs in the eu-west-2 (London) region, and that the marketing site is hosted and delivered through AWS CloudFront, S3 and Lambda. The Supabase database is said to have its region confirmed in the platform documentation, but that region is not named on the public site. Transfers outside the United Kingdom are possible through third-party providers, notably to the United States, and are said to rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent UK-approved mechanism. Encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls on the backend infrastructure are declared, with the publisher's own caveat that no method is 100% secure. One detail worth clarifying: the domain resolves to a CloudFront edge node in Zurich, which is a CDN point of presence rather than where data is stored. Scope matters here too. These elements describe the marketing site; hosting for the platform itself is not publicly documented, and DeepQuery Ltd claims no certification of its own, its hosting providers holding theirs.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Personify.
- The privacy policy and terms you can actually read cover the marketing site only. The documents governing app.personify.fyi, where clone content and student conversations sit, could not be read, so the rules applying to real data remain unverified.
- The publisher states in writing that its site loads analytics and advertising tools from the first visit, before consent, and that alignment with UK ePrivacy rules is only in progress.
- No Article 27 EU representative is appointed although DeepQuery Ltd is established outside the EU, no DPA is published or offered, no independent security certification is claimed, and liability is capped at 100 GBP under the marketing site's terms.
- Conversations held by end users, meaning students and clients, are logged in full and surfaced to the clone owner. Anyone deploying a clone should tell the people talking to it.
- The performance figures on display, such as 1M+ conversations, 700+ experts, 873 USD average monthly revenue, 8,800 USD earned in 24 hours and a 4.9 rating, are publisher statements and have not been audited.
- The company is very young: incorporated on 18 December 2025 and launched in April 2026. The site's own structured data claims a 2024 founding, which the UK register contradicts.
- Letting a clone answer in your name can quietly erode the direct contact your audience paid for, and it only knows what you uploaded: questions outside that corpus go unanswered rather than flagged, so someone still has to read the logs.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. The publisher says no technical skill is required: upload a file, paste one line of code. The full path from account creation to an embedded clone is advertised at around ten minutes, and the fast route is shorter still, asking only for a LinkedIn URL, a website URL and five questions. The one technical gesture is pasting the embed script into a page, and even that is optional since the hosted link works alone. No installation, no server, no DNS configuration. The 10-minute guarantee adds a live build call if the result disappoints.

Should you pick Personify?
Personify has a clear, well-bounded proposition: turn an expert's body of work into a conversational agent that can be embedded in a course, a community or a website, at a low price. The free forever plan is its strongest argument, because it lets you judge the clone on your own content before committing anything, with no card and no countdown. Paid access is equally legible at 39 USD a month, or 29 USD a month on an annual commitment, and built-in Stripe Connect billing at that price is genuinely rare. Trust markers are also better than the segment average: DeepQuery Ltd publishes its company name, registration number and registered office, all of which check out against the UK register.
The main reservation is legal scope. The readable privacy policy and terms cover the marketing site only; the documents governing the platform, where clone content and student conversations live, could not be consulted. There is no published DPA, no Article 27 EU representative and no independent security certification, and the publisher admits its cookie banner does not yet gate non-essential trackers. Maturity is the second reservation: the company was incorporated on 18 December 2025 and the product launched publicly in April 2026, so its headline numbers are publisher claims rather than audited results.
The verdict follows. Personify suits the expert who wants to deflect repetitive questions and open a recurring revenue stream, and who is happy to start on the free plan to hear whether the clone sounds right. It does not suit anyone who needs voice from day one, an API, or a formalised data-processing agreement before uploading a single file.
