Photo AI
Photo AI is a Latvian web service that turns 10 to 20 uploaded selfies into 100+ AI-generated portraits in a chosen style pack, delivered by email within one to two hours, for LinkedIn, CV, dating and social media profiles.
What is Photo AI?
Photo AI, published by SIA PhotoAI in Latvia, is a web-based SaaS product that generates styled portraits from a user's own selfies. Its terms describe it plainly as a web product where users choose from photo packages at a fixed price and/or subscription. In practice, a model is trained on the portraits the user uploads, then produces stylised variants of that face.
The advertised flow has three steps: upload at least ten portraits of yourself, choose a style pack, receive the images. The terms are stricter than the marketing: section 8 recommends 18 to 20 close-up photos, one person per photo, taken on different days, in different environments and poses, with the face uncovered and the hair visible. Each pack delivers more than 100 AI photos, sent as a download link by email within a couple of hours; the LinkedIn pack page specifies up to two hours, usually finished in an hour.
The catalogue counts 31 published packs and claims 400+ styles: LinkedIn Headshots, Professional Headshots, Tinder, Bumble, Dating, Boudoir, Polaroid retro, Avatar, Royal, Barbie & Ken, and seasonal ones such as Christmas, New Year, Autumn/Halloween, Astrology and AI Highschool. A set of side generators sits alongside them: headshot, portrait, selfie, face, art, tattoo, emoji, pixel art, action figure, album cover, book cover, YouTube thumbnail, wallpaper and flag. Per-pack counters displayed on the site report 103,312 photos created for LinkedIn, 101,584 for Tinder, 91,210 for Boudoir and 90,342 for Professional, and the homepage claims 61.7K customers.
The product is web-only: an account on app.photoai.me, no mobile application, no API, no browser extension. The marketing site is localised in 12 interface languages and carries a blog of 108 posts. The domain was registered on 28 October 2022 and first captured by the Wayback Machine on 31 October 2022.
One caveat about scope matters. Beyond the portrait generator, the same domain hosts twelve NSFW or undress landing pages and an Instagram follower tracker page whose buttons point to third-party products (app.undressly.ai, xme.bio), so a visitor arriving through those pages does not land on the product described here.

When to use Photo AI
- Job seekers and career changers who need a professional LinkedIn or CV portrait without booking a photo session
- Sales representatives, recruiters, consultants and real estate agents who maintain an active LinkedIn presence
- Dating app users looking for styled profile pictures, through the dedicated Tinder, Bumble and Dating packs
- Teams and small companies that want uniform staff portraits for a corporate website or staff directory without hiring a photographer
- Budget-conscious individuals: the site claims images from as low as 20 cents each, against the cost of a studio shoot
When not to use Photo AI
- Anyone who needs images for commercial use: the terms make any commercial use of the generated photos subject to the publisher's prior written consent
- Product, event or group photography: the service only processes portraits of a single person, uploaded by that person
- Uses that require an authentic, unretouched image, such as identity documents, administrative procedures or news reporting
- Teams looking for an API, an SDK or third-party integrations: none is published, and the product is web-only with no mobile app
- Organisations that require a data processing agreement, a sub-processor list or a guaranteed hosting location: none of these is published

- Download the images and publish them on LinkedIn, a CV, a dating app or Instagram

Pros & Cons
Pros
- Very low claimed entry cost: images from as low as 20 cents each, against the price of a studio session
- Large, regularly refreshed catalogue, with 31 packs, a claimed 400+ styles and seasonal additions
- High delivered volume, more than 100 images per pack, which leaves room to select
- Simple three-step flow that requires no retouching skill and no software
- Short announced turnaround, one to two hours, with delivery by email
- Company identity published in full, with legal name, registration number, VAT number and registered address, which is uncommon at this price level
- EU-established publisher, Latvian law applicable and an accessible GDPR supervisory authority, varied payment methods through Stripe and a marketing site translated into 12 languages
Cons
- No public pricing: pack prices only appear after sign-up, and the app subdomain that displays them is disallowed to crawlers
- No free plan and no free trial
- Users acquire no ownership of the generated photos, and any commercial use requires prior written consent
- Uploading photos grants the publisher a perpetual, worldwide licence to use, modify, publish and distribute them
- The site contradicts itself on photo storage, one FAQ saying uploaded photos are not stored and another saying they are securely stored on servers, and says nothing about model training or any opt-out
- No data processing agreement, no sub-processor list, no hosting country, no API, no mobile app and no third-party integration
- Internal inconsistencies: the terms name SIA Weby in sections 9, 16, 18, 22 and 27 while section 1 names SIA PhotoAI; there is no about page and no named team; the required photo count varies between 10, 15, 18-20 and 20; and the domain hosts NSFW landing pages pointing to third-party products
Pricing & Plans
There is no free plan and no free trial. Photo AI publishes no pricing page: pack prices are only displayed after signing up on app.photoai.me, a subdomain disallowed to crawlers, and no figure appears in the static HTML of the pages reviewed. The only first-party price statement is a unit claim, images generated for as low as 20 cents per picture, given without a currency, so no starting price and no billing unit can be recorded here. The terms describe packs sold at a fixed price and/or subscription: subscriptions are monthly or annual, renew automatically, carry 14 days' notice before any price increase, may be cancelled at any time with access until the next billing date, and are cancelled after three failed payment attempts spaced three days apart. Payment runs through Stripe and accepts credit and debit cards, PayPal, VISA, MasterCard, Apple Pay and Google Pay; cash and cheques are not accepted. Refunds are possible but discretionary, granted after the publisher verifies that the uploaded photos followed the stated guidelines. A NEWME promo code offering 35% off was displayed on the homepage on 16 August 2026.
Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Photo AI handles your data.
GDPR overview
Compliance is claimed explicitly: section 7 of the privacy policy states that personal information is processed in accordance with the GDPR and Latvian privacy laws, with service delivery, site improvement and legal compliance given as grounds. EEA users are told they may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, object to processing and withdraw consent, all by writing to hello@photoai.me, and may lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data Protection Authority or another EEA supervisory authority. The publisher is established in Latvia, so no Article 27 representative is required. What is missing is just as concrete: no data protection officer is named, no data processing agreement is offered, no sub-processor list is published, no retention period is quantified, and transfers outside Latvia are announced without naming any mechanism such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. The policy carries an effective date of 1 May 2023.
Who owns the data?
The terms draw a sharp line between the two sets of images. Users keep ownership of the photos they upload, but by submitting them they grant the publisher a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide and perpetual licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute and display that content in connection with the site and its services. For the AI-generated photos the position is reversed: users acquire no ownership rights at all and receive only a licence for personal, non-commercial use, any commercial use requiring prior written consent. Section 9 goes further and declares the site, its features and its software the exclusive property of SIA Weby, an entity different from SIA PhotoAI, the company named in section 1.
Reuse rights
The service collects names, email addresses, payment information and uploaded photos, alongside non-personal data such as IP address, browser, operating system and pages visited. The stated purposes are delivering the service, processing transactions, communicating with users, improving the site and developing new features, plus promotional messages and newsletters with an unsubscribe option. Data may be shared with third-party service providers, transferred in a merger or acquisition, or disclosed to meet legal obligations; no provider is named in the privacy policy, and only Stripe is named in the FAQ, as payment processor. On the user's side, reuse of the generated images without asking permission is limited to personal, non-commercial purposes; anything commercial requires prior written consent. One public contradiction deserves attention: the LinkedIn pack FAQ states that uploaded photos are not stored, while the homepage FAQ states that uploaded photos and personal information are securely stored on servers. Nothing is said, in either direction, about whether customer data is used to train models.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
No hosting country or region is disclosed for user data. The privacy policy states only that appropriate security measures are in place, without naming any standard or certification and without guaranteeing absolute security, and it announces that personal information may be transferred to countries outside Latvia, including countries whose data protection laws differ from Latvian ones, with no transfer mechanism named. The homepage FAQ adds that uploaded photos and personal information are securely stored on servers, again without a location, and is contradicted by the LinkedIn pack FAQ, which states that uploaded photos are not stored at all. No SOC 2, ISO 27001 or equivalent certification is mentioned anywhere, no data processing agreement is offered and no sub-processor list is published. One technical element, outside anything the site declares: the marketing domain resolves to 35.187.176.9, AS396982 Google LLC, in Brussels, Belgium. That describes where the showcase site is served and says nothing about where user photos are processed or stored. The applicable jurisdiction is Latvia, an EU member state, with the Latvian Data Protection Authority as supervisory authority.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Photo AI.
- The photos you upload carry a perpetual, worldwide and modifiable licence to the publisher (terms, section 6), which outlives the pack you paid for and covers reproduction, publication and distribution
- You own nothing you receive: section 7 grants no ownership over the generated photos and limits you to personal, non-commercial use, a real trap for a headshot placed on a company website or used in a commercial pitch
- The terms name SIA Weby in sections 9, 16, 18, 22 and 27 while section 1 names SIA PhotoAI, so the intellectual property and liability limitation clauses point to an entity that is not the one you contract with
- Prices are invisible before sign-up, the only public claim being 20 cents per picture without a currency; the terms also provide for auto-renewing subscriptions while the site visibly sells one-off packs, and refunds are discretionary and conditioned on a review of your uploads
- Nothing is said about training models on customer data, no opt-out exists, the site contradicts itself on whether uploaded photos are stored, and no data processing agreement, sub-processor list or hosting country is published
- The minimum age is set at 13 while the terms allow only adults' photos, and a face-based generator makes it tempting to upload someone else's portrait, which both the FAQ and the terms forbid
- The domain hosts twelve NSFW or undress landing pages and an Instagram follower tracker whose buttons lead to third-party products (app.undressly.ai, xme.bio), while an In the news banner names no outlet and links to no source, all of which blurs what the brand actually is
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low on the technical side: nothing to install, nothing to configure. You create an account, pay, upload your photos and wait for an email. The real effort is photographic rather than technical, namely assembling 15 to 20 compliant portraits: one person per photo, varied poses, days and environments, face uncovered, hair visible, no duplicates. Output quality depends directly on how closely those guidelines are followed, and the site is itself inconsistent about the number required, asking for 10, 15, 18-20 or 20 depending on the page.

Should you pick Photo AI?
Photo AI does what it advertises. For someone who needs a batch of styled portraits quickly, without booking a photographer, it delivers more than 100 images per pack in one to two hours, and its price-to-volume ratio is the argument it leads with, at a claimed 20 cents per picture.
The reservations concern the framework rather than the output. Pricing is opaque: nothing is quantified before sign-up, since pack prices sit behind authentication on a subdomain closed to crawlers, and the only public figure is a unit price with no currency. The legal framework is unfavourable to the user: uploaded photos carry a perpetual worldwide licence to the publisher, generated photos carry no ownership at all, and commercial use requires prior written consent. GDPR transparency is partial: compliance is claimed and EEA rights are listed, but no data processing agreement, sub-processor list, hosting country or training policy is published.
The site also contradicts itself in ways a reader should notice. The terms name SIA Weby in five sections while the contracting entity is SIA PhotoAI; one FAQ says uploaded photos are not stored while another says they are; the number of photos required varies from 10 to 20 depending on the page. The perimeter of the domain is blurred too, with twelve NSFW landing pages and an Instagram follower tracker sending visitors to third-party products.
The practical verdict: a reasonable fit for a personal profile picture, where the stakes are low. Not a fit for contractual professional use, since commercial rights, data guarantees and price predictability are precisely the three things this service does not provide.
