Overview

What is Picsi.Ai?

Picsi.Ai is a face swap platform run by the team behind Inswapper, the open-source face swap model of the InsightFace project. The terms describe the company as a wholly owned subsidiary of InsightFace.Ai and the about page traces its lineage through research work such as ArcFace, SubCenter-ArcFace, VPL, RetinaFace, SCRFD, SDUNet and CoordinateReg, together with a first place at the ECCV 2022 WCPA Challenge, a first place at NIST-FRVT 1:1 VISA in 2021 and a second place at the WIDER Face Detection Challenge 2019.

The product is the same engine wrapped in six different surfaces. Face Swap Studio is the flagship web app; there are also a macOS app, an iOS app called Face Swap Live!, a Chrome extension, an Adobe Photoshop plugin and a Discord bot the site now labels Legacy. Studio v2 handles images, video in single and multi-face modes, and GIFs, targets faces in video from a reference photo, takes batches of up to ten target files of 30 MB each, and shows results in a lightbox across a three-panel layout.

Beyond swapping, PersonaMagic Canvas builds an entire image around a subject from a text prompt and up to fourteen reference photos, across three model tiers including Nano Banana 2. It can return two outputs from one job, the generated image and a face-swapped version, and the site claims 99% character consistency. The advanced controls are unusually deep: models Dax and Evi, Optimizer, Shapify with an intensity from 1 to 1000 defaulting to 600, Expressionify, Oldify and Youngify, Face Texturizer, Sharpen, and fixes for occlusion, hairline, eyes, ears and the chin and jawline.

Two currencies drive it. Daily credits cover ordinary swaps and reset at 0:00 UTC without rolling over; permanent Tokens bought separately are the only way to use PersonaMagic Canvas. The desktop and mobile apps add real-time LiveCam swapping, with macOS also offering screen capture and longer video limits as the tier rises. The interface is offered in thirteen languages, moderation is strict—no NSFW, and submissions are judged on intent as well as content—and the app page advertises a 5.0 rating from more than 26,000 reviews.

What it does

  • Swap inside Photoshop and get the result on a new layer
Audience

When to use Picsi.Ai / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Picsi.Ai is the right fit.

When to use Picsi.Ai

  • Social and short-form content creators who need a recognizable face dropped into memes, clips and GIFs at speed
  • Graphic designers and art directors who need one identity to stay consistent across a whole series of images
  • Video editors working on multi-person scenes, where up to four faces can be replaced in a single pass
  • Photoshop retouchers, who get the swapped result back on a new editable layer inside their open document
  • Anyone building avatars, profile pictures and headshots from their own photos, including on the permanent free tier

When not to use Picsi.Ai

  • Anyone after sexual, suggestive or otherwise NSFW imagery, which is banned outright and leads to permanent suspension on repeat offences
  • People who want to alter the face of a politician, a public official or any public figure, or to swap someone in without their express permission: the terms forbid both
  • Developers who need to call the engine programmatically, since there is no public API and no developer documentation
  • Android users, as only a macOS build and an iOS app exist
  • Teams under formal GDPR obligations: the regulation is never named, no DPA is offered, no subprocessor is listed and no hosting country is published
Get started

How to use Picsi.Ai

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Sign in with a Discord account, which the site recommends, or with Google; there is no email-only registration
  2. Open Face Swap Studio in the browser, or install the macOS .dmg, the iOS app, the Chrome extension or the Photoshop .ccx from the site
  3. Upload one to four source faces; free accounts use a single source face applied automatically to the largest face detected, while paid accounts choose which face to replace
  4. Drop in the target images, videos or GIFs, up to ten files of 30 MB each
  5. Set the advanced options, from Optimizer and Shapify intensity to Expressionify and the occlusion and hairline fixes, then press Swap!
  6. Collect the results from the Studio within three days, after which they are removed automatically
  7. In Chrome, pin the extension, open its panel, sign in with Discord, upload up to four source faces, then right-click any image and choose Face Swap with Picsi.Ai
  8. In Photoshop 2022 or later, double-click the .ccx to install it through Creative Cloud, sign in as a paying member, upload a source face, drag a rectangle over the area and click Swap!
  9. On Discord, create a private server, invite the bot, save a face with /saveid and apply it with /setid, adding flags such as --shape 600
  10. Keep the same email across Discord, Google, Stripe, Patreon and Apple so the accounts sync, avoid Apple's Hide My Email, and buy Token packs separately for PersonaMagic Canvas since Basic, Pro and Ultra do not include them

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Built by the team that develops Inswapper itself, rather than a reseller wrapping someone else's model
  • Six ways in—web Studio, macOS, iOS, Chrome, Photoshop and Discord—sharing one account and one credit balance
  • A permanent free tier of 10 credits a day, not a countdown offer that expires
  • Depth of control that is rare in consumer tools: Shapify, Expressionify and per-zone repairs for occlusion, hairline, eyes, ears and jawline
  • Real-time swapping on the camera and on screen capture, not only on uploaded files
  • Commercial use is open to paying members, and batches of up to ten targets make volume work practical
  • A documented likeness-removal channel, an explicit and enforced NSFW policy, and a privacy policy stating that source images are not stored

Cons

  • Subscription amounts are absent from the page as served: the pricing page loads its figures in JavaScript, so no price for Basic, Pro or Ultra can be quoted
  • PersonaMagic Canvas sits outside the subscriptions and needs Token packs bought separately
  • No public API and no developer documentation, so nothing can be automated from outside
  • No Android app, and the macOS build is a .dmg served outside any store
  • A Discord or Google account is mandatory; there is no email-only sign-up
  • Chinese governing law and CIETAC arbitration in Suzhou in Chinese, with the GDPR never mentioned, no DPA, no named subprocessor and no published hosting country
  • On the free tier, Discord video swaps are posted in a public channel and cannot be deleted, Studio results vanish after three days, and daily credits never roll over
Pricing

Pricing & Plans

There is a permanent free plan: 10 credits per day, single-face swaps only, 20 saved identities, watermarked results and no commercial use. Three paid tiers follow—Basic at 200 daily credits, Pro at 400 and Ultra at 800—billed monthly or annually, with a Limited Time: 20% OFF promotion on annual billing and payment by Stripe, by Patreon (legacy) or in cryptocurrency through NOWPayments, the last of which is annual only. The lowest paid price point cannot be stated: the pricing page renders its amounts in JavaScript and no figure for Basic, Pro or Ultra appears in the page as served. The only monetary figure published anywhere on the site is the $420/yr value attributed to Ultra access on the Creative Partner Program page, which describes the most expensive tier and is therefore not an entry price. Token packs for PersonaMagic Canvas are separate one-off purchases and never expire. Consumption is metered: in the Studio, one credit per face on an image, two credits per second of video and one credit per two GIF frames; in the apps, one credit per face on an image, a flat 10 credits for a GIF, and one credit to select plus a flat 10 credits for video or LiveCam. Cancellation is by email to contact@picsi.ai, and no refund is given where an account is suspended for breaching the terms.

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Picsi.Ai handles your data.

GDPR overview

The GDPR is never named. Neither the privacy policy (effective 25 September 2025) nor the terms (effective 25 August 2025) mention the regulation, and there is no claim of compliance and no denial either. The policy does grant rights that read like European ones—access, rectification, erasure, objection to processing and portability—all exercised by writing to contact@picsi.ai. What is missing is the machinery around them: no Article 27 representative in the EU, no named data protection officer, no data processing agreement offered, no list of named subprocessors, and no hosting country or region disclosed. Security measures are stated in general terms: encryption in transit and at rest, restricted access, regular audits, firewalled servers. Governing law is that of the People's Republic of China, with arbitration before CIETAC in Suzhou, conducted in Chinese, plus a waiver of jury trial and class actions.

Who owns the data?

Picsi.Ai keeps ownership of everything it publishes itself: its text, graphics and software belong to the company or its affiliates. Source images used to build a face ID are not stored at all, only a mathematical representation of the facial features. Rights over the output depend on the plan. Paying members may use their results commercially, provided both source and target are rights-cleared and provided Picsi.Ai is credited, including in the file metadata and EXIF. Free accounts get no commercial rights. Third parties whose likeness appears can write to requestremoval@picsi.ai to have existing content taken down, or future use of their face blocked in advance.

Reuse rights

Reuse is tied to the account. Paying members may reuse and monetize their outputs without asking anyone, on two conditions: the source and target images must be rights-cleared, and Picsi.Ai must be credited, file metadata and EXIF included. Free accounts may not use their images commercially and their results carry a watermark. On the company side, the privacy policy lists what is collected: account details from Discord or Google sign-in (handle, avatar, unique identifier, email), the content submitted, usage data such as which features and commands are used, and technical data including IP address, browser and operating system. The stated purposes are running and maintaining the service, processing requests and generating the images, improving and optimizing the product, communicating about the account and transactions, and meeting legal obligations. Sharing is limited to third-party service providers, payment processing being the example given, and to lawful requests. Every submission is reviewed for content and for intent, and cookies and tracking technologies are in use. One question the policy never addresses, in either direction, is whether customer content feeds model training.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Source images used to create a face ID are not kept: the privacy policy says only a mathematical representation of the facial features is retained. Studio creations stay available for three days and are then deleted automatically. Web image swaps are described as temporary processing, while the iOS app stores generated content locally on the device. Saved source identities are capped rather than timed, at 20 on the free tier and 60 on paid ones. One exception runs the other way: on the free tier, video swaps produced by the Discord bot are posted in a public channel and cannot be removed once published. No retention period at all is given for account, usage or technical data; deletion of personal data can be requested by writing to contact@picsi.ai.
GDPR contact

Hosting summary

The site publishes nothing about where the data physically lives. No hosting country, no region, no data centre provider and no list of subprocessors appears in the privacy policy or anywhere else on the site. What the policy does state is a set of security measures: industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, access restricted to authorized personnel, regular audits of security practices, and servers kept behind firewalls and monitored, followed by the usual caveat that no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. One storage location is named, and it is local: the iOS app keeps generated content on the device. Elsewhere, processing is described as temporary for web image swaps, and Studio results are held for three days. A technical note from our own checks, not a statement by the site: the domain resolves to an Amazon CloudFront edge node located in Italy. That identifies a content delivery point, not the jurisdiction in which data is stored, and nothing about hosting should be inferred from it.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Picsi.Ai.

  • You cannot see what a subscription costs before reaching the checkout, because the pricing page never renders its amounts in the page source
  • PersonaMagic Canvas is charged apart from the subscription: Token packs are an extra purchase, and it is easy to assume Ultra includes them
  • Daily credits reset at 0:00 UTC and never accumulate, so an intensive session cannot be spread across several days
  • On the free tier, video swaps made through the Discord bot are posted in a public channel and can be neither made private nor deleted, while Studio creations are wiped after three days
  • Any commercial use requires attribution to Picsi.Ai, including inside the file metadata and EXIF, a clause that is easy to breach without noticing
  • Account syncing across Discord, Google, Stripe, Patreon and Apple depends on one identical email, Apple's Hide My Email breaks it, and no refund is given when an account is suspended for a breach of the terms
  • The deeper risks are human: swapping someone's face without their consent is forbidden but technically trivial, no minimum age is stated anywhere, moderation judges intent as well as content so refusals can feel arbitrary, and any dispute falls under Chinese law with arbitration held in Chinese in Suzhou
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Low to moderate, depending on the surface. The web Studio needs no installation: sign in with Discord or Google and start. The Chrome extension takes a store install and a sign-in; the Photoshop plugin means a .ccx installed through Creative Cloud, Photoshop 2022 or later and a paid membership; macOS is a .dmg from outside any store, iOS comes from the App Store. The Discord bot is steepest, with a private server, an invite and slash commands. The recurring friction is account syncing: Discord, Google, Stripe, Patreon and Apple must share one email. No development skills, no API keys.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free plan?
Yes, and it is permanent rather than a countdown. It gives 10 credits a day, single-face swaps only, 20 saved identities, watermarked results and no commercial use, plus a lifetime allowance of six videos on the Discord bot.
How much does a subscription cost?
The site does not publish the amounts in the page itself: the pricing page loads them in JavaScript, so no figure for Basic, Pro or Ultra can be quoted here. The only number published anywhere on the site is the $420/yr value attributed to Ultra access on the Creative Partner Program page, which is the most expensive tier and not an entry price.
What is the difference between credits and Tokens?
Daily credits pay for ordinary swaps, reset at 0:00 UTC and do not roll over. Tokens are permanent, bought in separate packs, and are used only by PersonaMagic Canvas, which no subscription includes.
What is PersonaMagic Canvas?
A premium engine that builds a whole scene from a text prompt and up to fourteen reference photos, with a stated 99% character consistency. It spends Tokens rather than daily credits and can return both the generated image and a face-swapped version from a single job.
Which platforms does Picsi.Ai run on?
Six: the web Face Swap Studio, a macOS app, an iOS app, a Chrome extension, an Adobe Photoshop plugin for Photoshop 2022 and later, and a Discord bot the site now calls Legacy. There is no Android app.
Is there an API?
No. The site publishes no API reference and no developer documentation. The docs section is a user guide, not a developer reference.
Is NSFW content allowed?
No. The site bans content that is sexual in nature or suggestive in intent, and repeat offences lead to permanent suspension. Submissions are reviewed for intent as well as for content, and the terms also forbid swapping someone in without their express permission or altering the faces of political figures, public officials and other public figures.
Can I sell what I create?
Only as a paying member, only if both the source and the target images are rights-cleared, and only with attribution to Picsi.Ai, which the terms require to be carried in the file metadata and EXIF as well. Free accounts have no commercial rights.
Are my source images kept?
According to the privacy policy, the source images used to create a face ID are not stored and only a mathematical representation of the facial features is retained. Studio creations stay available for three days and are then deleted automatically.
How do I get my face removed from the platform?
Write to requestremoval@picsi.ai with a front-facing photo for verification. The terms allow both the removal of existing content and a pre-emptive block on any future use of your likeness.
Conclusion

Should you pick Picsi.Ai?

Picsi.Ai occupies an unusual position: it is one of very few consumer face swap services published by the team that actually builds the model underneath it. That shows in the product. The controls go far beyond a single Swap button—Shapify's intensity scale, Expressionify, per-zone repairs for occlusion, hairline, eyes, ears and jawline—and the same account follows you from the web Studio to macOS, iOS, Chrome, Photoshop and Discord, with real-time camera and screen capture on top. A permanent free tier lets anyone test the engine before spending anything.

The reservations are commercial and legal rather than technical. Prices come first: the pricing page renders its amounts in JavaScript, so a prospective customer cannot compare Basic, Pro and Ultra without going through the checkout flow. The second is that PersonaMagic Canvas, the most striking part of the offer, is covered by no subscription and requires Token packs bought on the side. The third is the legal frame: governing law of the People's Republic of China with arbitration in Suzhou conducted in Chinese, no mention of the GDPR anywhere, no DPA, no named subprocessor, no published hosting country and no postal address.

Who should use it: content creators, designers and video editors who want depth of control and are comfortable with a Discord-centered account system. Who should look elsewhere: anyone needing an API, an Android app, or contractual data protection guarantees they can show to a compliance team. Between those two groups sits a large middle of casual users for whom the free tier will be enough, provided they accept that free Discord video swaps are published in a public channel and cannot be taken back.
