Overview

What is Pienissimo Pro?

Pienissimo Pro is pitched as il gestionale su misura per il tuo Ristorante - the management system tailored to your restaurant - and the publisher is blunt about the distinction it wants to draw: "Non è solo un'app per le prenotazioni. Pienissimo Pro è il software gestionale per tenere sotto controllo marketing, staff e numeri." Four pillars are advertised: Prenotazioni Smart (smart bookings), Marketing mirato (targeted marketing), Controllo dei numeri (control of the figures) and Organizzazione Staff (staff organisation). The product menu follows the same shape: booking management, digital menu, takeaway and delivery, marketing, loyalty, a customer-facing app, staff organisation and cost control.

Eight hospitality segments are addressed separately - restaurants and trattorie, pizzerias, enoteche and wine bars, bars and cafes, ice-cream shops and patisseries, sushi and Japanese cuisine, bistros and burger joints, and restaurant chains. The homepage claims that centinaia, hundreds, of restaurateurs and venue managers already use it.

The AI here is narrow and concrete rather than general-purpose. Voice Pro is a digital switchboard that can be plugged into the system: it answers calls automatically when the team is busy, collects the booking requests and enters them directly into the agenda. Alongside it, the vendor's FAQ offers automazione delle prenotazioni tramite IA - AI booking automation - to smooth the flow and reduce errors, and the demo page's own meta description promises to Ottimizza coperti e fedeltà con AI. There is no general assistant and no content generation: the AI answers the phone and fills the diary.

Daily use runs on hardware the vendor imposes. An Apple iPad or iPad Mini is required, up to five devices on a standard licence, with the back office reachable from any PC or Mac; a permanent connection, venue wifi or a data SIM, is mandatory. The customer app is white-label, carrying the venue's name, logo and colours, with push notifications, membership and direct orders.

The publisher is Pienissimo Software Srl, established in Falciano, Repubblica di San Marino, and every product page footer reads 'Società del Gruppo Zucchetti': Zucchetti took a majority stake, announced in January 2025, with Giuliano Lanzetti staying on as managing director and shareholder. The publisher's claimed origin is a working venue, the Bounty in Rimini, rather than a software house. No price is published; the one commercial call to action is Richiedi demo.

What it does

  • Centralise bookings arriving by phone, WhatsApp, website, social networks and the venue's own app in a single agenda
  • Let Voice Pro answer calls automatically, capture booking requests and write them straight into the agenda, alongside AI booking automation
  • Cut no-shows with automatic reminders and confirmation requests, and handle overbooking lists and the waiting queue with SMS, WhatsApp or email alerts
  • Optimise rooms, shifts and table rotation across three agenda views: list, floor plan and planning
  • Send promotions, coupons and QR codes by WhatsApp, SMS or email, and build automated funnels with Catenaria plus points-based loyalty paths
  • Publish a QR digital menu editable in real time and take takeaway and delivery orders directly, without third-party commission
  • Track costs, revenue, margins and KPIs in one Business Intelligence dashboard, and organise duties, training, onboarding and clocking-in with Mansionissimo

When to use Pienissimo Pro / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Pienissimo Pro is the right fit.

When to use Pienissimo Pro

  • Independent restaurant, pizzeria, bar and cafe owners who still run their bookings on a paper diary or over the phone
  • Venues that lose calls during peak service and want Voice Pro plus AI booking automation to pick them up
  • Operators fighting frequent no-shows, who need automatic reminders and confirmation requests
  • Restaurateurs who want takeaway, delivery and bookings taken directly, without third-party marketplace commission
  • Chains and franchises that need one panel for sales, costs, staff and per-outlet performance
  • Businesses operating in Italy and San Marino, as the product, the website and the sales and support relationship are all Italian-speaking

When not to use Pienissimo Pro

  • Anyone without an Apple iPad or iPad Mini: 'Tablet di altre marche o smartphone non sono compatibili'
  • Venues that cannot guarantee a permanent connection, because the iPad needs venue wifi or a data SIM
  • Buyers who need to know the price before speaking to a salesperson: no rate card is published anywhere
  • Teams that need an interface or documentation in any language other than Italian; there is no English route on the site
  • Users who would rely on the free version alone, as it comes with no technical support
  • Developers looking for a documented public API, which the publisher does not provide

  3. Install the app on an Apple iPad or iPad Mini; tablets from other brands and smartphones are not supported
  4. Connect the iPad to the venue wifi or to a data SIM; the back office opens from any connected PC or Mac
  5. Activate up to five iPads on the standard licence, and ask for additional devices if you need more
  6. Build the piantina, the floor plan of your rooms, create the layouts you need, and assign tables to bookings, splitting or grouping them
  7. Choose automatic or manual acceptance of bookings, and accept them from mobile, tablet or PC/Mac
  8. Switch on Voice Pro and the AI booking automation to handle telephone reservations
  9. Print the booking list with the 'cavaliere' card to place on each reserved table

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Broad functional coverage in a single tool - bookings, marketing, loyalty, staff, costs and business intelligence - with the explicit claim 'Niente tool complicati, niente abbonamenti extra o software esterni'
  • Automated call answering with Voice Pro and AI booking automation, which addresses the most common point of loss in a busy venue: the call nobody picks up
  • Takeaway, delivery and bookings taken directly, with no third-party platform commission, including Reserve with Google
  • White-label customer app with push notifications, presented as a direct channel with 'Zero algoritmi, zero intermediazioni'
  • Real vertical specialisation: eight hospitality segments are addressed separately rather than through one generic pitch
  • Support available every day, public holidays included, through ticket or live chat
  • Backing of the Gruppo Zucchetti after the majority stake announced in January 2025, plus GDPR-conscious contact collection with a designated EU representative and a published accessibility declaration

Cons

  • No public price of any kind: no pricing page, no rate card and no figure, so a sales demo is the only route to a quote
  • Hardware is imposed: an Apple iPad or iPad Mini is mandatory ('Tablet di altre marche o smartphone non sono compatibili'), and a permanent wifi or data-SIM connection is required
  • The 'versione Free' carries no technical support at all
  • Website and documentation exist in Italian only; there is no English route on the product site
  • No API documentation is published, even though the support page invokes 'open API'
  • No DPA, no named list of sub-processors and no information on where customer data is hosted; the privacy policy covers the website rather than, explicitly, the platform used inside the venue, and the product domain carries no terms-of-service page
  • Internal inconsistency: the demo and contact pages display a Turin customer-service number that in fact belongs to another vendor, while every other page gives +39 0549 963 026, and those same pages reuse generic point-of-sale copy (e-commerce, warehousing, retail) that does not match the restaurant positioning
Pricing

Pricing & Plans

No amount is published. The product website carries no pricing page - /it/prezzi/ and /it/prezzi-e-piani/ both return a 404 - no rate card, no tier and no currency symbol on any archived page, so the commercial model is a free demonstration followed by a quotation, with 'Richiedi demo' as the single call to action. Access is not self-service: you complete the form and the vendor emails your credentials, under the promise 'Prova Pienissimo senza limitazioni', and the page itself is titled 'Demo Gratuita'. A support FAQ on the brand's main site also refers, in the present tense, to a 'versione Free' of the Pienissimo Pro platform, and states plainly that it comes with no technical support: "Mi dispiace ma per la versione Free non è possibile avere assistenza tecnica." That free tier no longer appears in the product site's navigation, so whether it is still open to new customers should be confirmed with the vendor. The FAQ mentions a 'licenza standard' that activates up to five iPads, with further devices available on request, but attaches no price to it. Budget holders should also allow for the Apple iPad hardware, whose cost the publisher does not quote.

Prices and plans listed above may evolve. Always check the official pricing page before subscribing.

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Pienissimo Pro handles your data.

GDPR overview

GDPR compliance is claimed explicitly and in detail, under a double regime: the notice is issued ai sensi degli artt. 13 e 14 del Regolamento Europeo n. 679/2016 (GDPR) e della Legge RSM n. 171/2018, the San Marino law of 21 December 2018, and cites Recommendation no. 2/2001 of the European authorities. Rights under Articles 15 to 22 are listed one by one: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent and complaint to the supervisory authority. Transfers outside the EU are declared not envisaged except for technical necessity, under Articles 44 ff. of the GDPR and 46 ff. of the San Marino law. Security, confidentiality, integrity and restoration of data after a breach are addressed. The distinctive point: the publisher is established in San Marino, a third country for GDPR purposes, so an Article 27 EU representative is designated. The policy is dated 01.01.2025.

Who owns the data?

The data controller is PIENISSIMO SOFTWARE S.r.l., Strada Rovereta n. 6, 47891 Falciano, Repubblica di San Marino, contactable at the certified address pienissimosoftware@pec.sm. Because San Marino is outside the European Union, the publisher has appointed an EU representative under Article 27 of the GDPR: Rappresentante nell'Unione Europea: Dott. Nathaniel Casadei - Via Pomposa n. 43/I - 47924 Rimini (RN) - Email: pienissimo@novapoesis.it. No Data Protection Officer is appointed: the cookie policy states the role is 'non richiesto dalla normativa vigente' for this processing. Data is handled by the controller, by authorised staff and by unnamed processors for technical and support work, and is not disclosed to third parties save for inspection duties: "Non sono diffusi a terzi, salvo obblighi ispettivi." One scope limit matters: the notice describes the pienissimo.pro website, not the platform running inside a venue.

Reuse rights

The privacy notice sorts every use by legal basis. Without consent, data serves the technical and functional running of the site, the handling of requests sent through the live chat, the forms and the contact channels, and soft-spam to existing customers - grounded on legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f) or on contract and pre-contractual steps (Art. 6.1.b). With consent (Art. 6.1.a), data is used for direct commercial purposes, for sending promotional material, and for profiling that personalises content. Navigation data covers the date and time of the visit, the IP address, the referring URL and the user agent, plus pages viewed and acquisition channel (Google Ads, email, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads), with cross-device tracking through Google Signals, GA4 and Microsoft Clarity; sharing with third parties such as Facebook or LinkedIn is contemplated. Supplying data is compulsory for technical purposes and optional for marketing and profiling. Nowhere does the publisher say whether customer data is used to train AI models.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
The privacy policy, updated on 01.01.2025, publishes three retention rules. Navigation data is anonymous and deleted once processed. Data collected for marketing is kept until consent is withdrawn, and in any case for a maximum of two years. Profiling data is kept for a maximum of one year. Erasure and restriction can be requested under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, alongside access, rectification, portability and objection. What is absent matters as much: no retention period is published for the data the platform itself handles inside a venue - bookings, guest records, loyalty history - because the notice describes the website. Any operator holding guest data at scale should get those periods set out in the contract.

Hosting summary

No hosting country and no hosting region is named anywhere on the site for customer data. The closest statement sits in point 8 of the privacy policy, which says that transfers to non-EU countries are not envisaged except for technical necessity, in accordance with Articles 44 ff. of the GDPR and Articles 46 ff. of San Marino Law 171/2018. That is a transfer clause, not a declaration of where data is stored, and the policy itself states that it describes the running of the website rather than the platform used inside a venue. The wording deserves attention precisely because the controller is established in San Marino, which is not a member of the European Union. One separate technical fact should not be confused with customer-data hosting: the pienissimo.pro website is served from an Italian IP address, 212.35.217.69, operated by SEEWEB s.r.l. That tells you where the marketing site is served from, and nothing more. Prospective customers should ask, in writing, where booking and guest-record data is stored and processed.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Pienissimo Pro.

  • No published price means no budget without a sales conversation, and the mandatory Apple iPad adds a hardware cost the publisher never quotes
  • Two legal entities share the brand: Pienissimo Software Srl (C.O.E. SM31183) publishes Pienissimo Pro, while Pienissimo srl (C.O.E. SM27049) runs the training and events business - check which one you are actually contracting with
  • The publisher is established in San Marino, a third country under the GDPR; an Article 27 EU representative is designated, but no DPA and no named list of sub-processors is published
  • Nothing is published about the country where customer data - bookings, guest records, loyalty history - is hosted, so ask before you migrate a customer base into the platform
  • The 'versione Free' has disappeared from the product site's navigation and gives no right to technical support: confirm it is still open to new customers before you plan around it
  • The demo and contact pages display a Turin customer-service number that belongs to a different vendor sharing the same page template; the product's own number is +39 0549 963 026
  • The support page invokes 'open API' with no documentation behind it, and the product domain publishes no terms of service, so the contractual perimeter rests entirely on what the salesperson puts in writing
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Technically light, but not self-service. You submit a form, receive credentials by email, and a tutor calls back within 48 hours. The prerequisites are hardware and network: an Apple iPad or iPad Mini, up to five devices on a standard licence, plus venue wifi or a data SIM, with the back office on any PC or Mac. The real work is configuration rather than IT - room floor plans and layouts, shifts, loyalty paths and Catenaria funnels. Note that the support page's 'ready in a few minutes' line comes from generic point-of-sale boilerplate and should not be read as a Pienissimo Pro commitment.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What hardware do I need to run Pienissimo Pro?
An Apple iPad or iPad Mini. The vendor's FAQ is explicit that tablets from other brands and smartphones are not compatible. The back office, by contrast, opens from any PC or Mac.
How many iPads can I activate?
Up to five devices with the standard licence. Further devices can be activated on request, but the publisher does not say on what terms or at what cost.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes. The iPad must be connected to the venue's wifi or carry a data SIM. The back office is reachable from any connected PC or Mac.
What exactly does the AI do?
Two concrete things. Voice Pro is a digital switchboard that answers calls automatically when the team is busy, collects the booking requests and enters them into the agenda. The vendor's FAQ also offers 'automazione delle prenotazioni tramite IA', AI booking automation, to smooth the flow and reduce errors. It is not a general-purpose assistant.
Can I still take bookings by phone, and are they accepted automatically?
Yes to both, and the choice is yours. Telephone bookings can stay manual or be automated through Voice Pro or the AI automation, and acceptance can be set to automatic or manual, with bookings confirmed from mobile, tablet or PC/Mac.
Can I manage the room layout and the waiting queue?
Yes. You can build the piantina for one or several rooms, create multiple layouts, split or group tables and assign them to bookings. The waiting queue is handled with an SMS, WhatsApp or email notification as soon as a table is ready, and overbooking lists are supported.
How much does Pienissimo Pro cost?
No price is published anywhere on the site: no pricing page, no tier, no figure and no currency symbol. You have to request a demonstration and obtain a quotation from the sales team.
Is there support, and does the free version get it?
Support runs every day, public holidays included, through ticket or live chat. The 'versione Free' is the exception: the brand's support FAQ states plainly that no technical support is available for it.
Who publishes Pienissimo Pro, and is there an API?
The publisher is Pienissimo Software Srl, established in Falciano, Repubblica di San Marino, and every product page footer identifies it as a company of the Gruppo Zucchetti. As for the API, the support page mentions 'open API' but no API documentation is published on the site.
Conclusion

Should you pick Pienissimo Pro?

Pienissimo Pro is a properly vertical product rather than a generic booking widget: it is built for Italian hospitality, addresses eight segments separately, and claims an origin inside a working venue, the Bounty in Rimini, rather than a software house. Its AI ambition is refreshingly narrow and, for that reason, credible: rather than promising a general assistant, it answers the phone when the team cannot, captures the booking request and writes it into the agenda. For an operator losing calls at eight in the evening, that is the point of leverage that matters. The rest of the offer - multichannel bookings, anti no-show reminders, loyalty, commission-free takeaway, staff duties and clocking-in, and a business intelligence dashboard - is unusually complete for a single subscription, and the backing of the Gruppo Zucchetti after the majority stake announced in January 2025 adds distribution and the solidity of a large Italian publisher. The homepage claims hundreds of restaurateurs already use it.

The brakes are real. Pricing is entirely opaque: no rate card, no tier, no figure, which makes any budget impossible without a sales conversation, and the mandatory Apple iPad adds an unquoted hardware cost. Documentation and interface are Italian only, so outside Italy and San Marino the tool is hard to evaluate, let alone operate. And the support and demo pages carry leftovers from another vendor's template - point-of-sale copy that has nothing to do with restaurants, and a Turin phone number that is not the publisher's - which is reason enough to have every commitment confirmed in writing. Promising for an Italian venue ready to talk to a salesperson; hard to assess from anywhere else.
